I also noticed a bug last night on my new Asura guardian, that now and then after
i used leap of faith i couldn’t attack. I first had to move one step .. then i could attack.
It’s a bug that was introduced recently movement skills now have a chance to get you stuck in the terrain. usually you can fix it by performing an emote like /sit.
This happened to me on my minion master and I assumed lifesteal had broken the encounter. Luckily the little buggers do enough lifesteal damage that I could kill it w/o breaking vortexes.
Lets put it this way if tera had a tab targeting combat sytem w/o crosshairs I’d be playing my slayer right now instead of my guardian.
Oh god please revert flesh of the master to how it was pre-feature pack. MM is unplayable as of now. whether you get downed or travel between different level areas all your minions blow up.

Just because you are running around with a build that doesn’t take conditions into account doesnt mean that condition build should be nerfed for your sake.
…But that’s exactly why they’re so OP… what if i dont take into account conditions, should i be penalized for playing the build i want? nope… should i be penalized for not seeing it coming? nope because i expect a “fair” fight with my opponent, where ofc i either win or force the guy to run away from my terror.
Next week youll come complaining about hammer warriors, mesmers, and engineers cause you also didnt take any stun breaks.
Then youll complain about zerker builds cause you didn’t trait or gear for vitality/toughness….
See my point you are just whining about something you don’t like that can be fixed by tweaking your build .

Elementalist- everything…
Guardian: reflects, fire fields, stability, aegis, and if specced defensively they can carry inexperienced groups that no one short of a dungeon soloer can carry.
Warrior- Banners, PS, vulnerability, fire field if needed
Mesmer- reflects, TW, stealth
Engineer- everything… but unlike eles its either more difficult to find a good one or more difficult to play one well.
Thief- blast spam, Stealth, projectile defense if lacking reflects, blinds
Ranger- Spotter, Frost spirit,
Necromancer- erm condi remove?
As a medi guard Im’ more afraid of the celestial eles running arround with 70% boon uptime that heal more than my meditations when I try to burst them. Glass cannon eles usually kill me once when they take the initiative and then i kill them for the rest of the match cause they are easy targets.
Or remove the symbol and give it knockback…but then the pve people will QQ.
Symbol on hammer is staying though because of the bad guardian symbol traits that Anet put in place for it.It isn’t going anywhere.
1 stack of vulnerability for 3s as a master trait hurray!! Note that every other vulnerability application that is 5 seconds or shorter has 5 -10 stacks

S/F+ Gs as other people have mentioned. For utility pick any of the following:
Bane signet
Signet of judgment
Smite condition
judge’s intervention
Sword of Justice (hammer knocks things back which is counterproductive)
any shout
the rest are situational while leveling but consecrations will be invaluable in dungeons later on.
No you would be a a burden to your party w/o contributing much damage.
In my opinion, as the power traitline Zeal should have at least one damage boosting grandmaster trait and not 3 traits that are for gimmick builds( Spirit weapons/ Conditions). Kindled Zeal being the weakest and least functioning of the 3 should be replaced for something else.
Now that Amplified wrath was added to the traitline, there’s absolutely no reason to pick Kindled Zeal. Even for gimmick condition builds, Amplified wrath is a better source of damage because burning is applied more consistently. Conditions from sigils and runes are limited by internal cooldowns that traits from condition builds in other classes don’t have (bleed on crit/explosion). Unlike engineers and elementalists we do not have hard hitting attacks that apply conditions at the same time that would benefit from both power and conditions.
Ray of judgment bounces 3 times instead of the listed 4, could be a tooltip error or we should be doing more damage.
They were bad, tanky builds on guardian are the easiest to spot.
Health doesn’t go below 80% and takes 5 mins on a trash mob.
Ok I take back what I said I tested it on WvW this weekend and yeah, the dolyak was untouched by my zealots defense but it died easily to auto attacks

My follower’s list is my trophy from trolling queensdale. They would add me to see If the train was gona be out of service for extended periods.
Sometimes the dolyaks get glitched, you see them right in front of you moving and the map shows them there, but they are in fact somewhere else.
I ran several tests comparing my guardian’s RoJ to my necromancer’s Reaper’s Touch, and noticed that on single targer Reaper’s touch would hit the target a total of 3 times applying 9 vulnerability. On the other hand, RoJ only hit the target twice applying 6 vulnerability when traited with blind exposure. Both skill descriptions show the same number of bounces. Is it a tooltip error that should read 3? Or is RoJ supposed to have one more bounce that it currently doesn’t?
Hi Evan, I seem to have this issue as well on my guardian. I have armorsmithing and weaponsmithing on him, but only armorsmithing is affected. I installed GW2 on 4/9/14 after my old hard drive died but my character was created on April 2013.
Has anyone else noticed what a bugridden mess all new backpieces are?
They behave like half ascended-exotic back pieces.
1- They have infusion slots ( haven’t tested if it’s functional)
2- They have a non functional upgrade slot.
3- They give ascended major stats (~178% more than minor ascended give 160% and exotic give 137.5%)
The Stat selection is a mess:
1: Whether it’s intended or not a several prefixes are missing
2: Several prefixes don’t match the stats they give
3: The stats provided by some of the options listed are repeated
4: The last Option doesn’t even make sense.
Sigh
These won’t see much use unless they intend to fix at least half of those issues.
Wasn’t the problem with the Charr and how they moved? There were posts saying that it was a problem with clipping with their 4 legged running animation.

If they would fix scepter #1 orb to follow targets and make #2 smite a real AoE I would use it all the time, even with offensive builds.
how is #2 not a real AoE?
because each little fist only hits one enemy at a time so 15 hits in total no matter how many mobs are in it. Every other aoe usually has a 5 target cap, so instead of doing 15 hits total on 5 targets it would do 75 hits total on 5 targets
One of the Zeal GM traits should be a damage increase like 4-5%more damage per inactive virtue (virtue in cooldown could work too) . Currently both Zeal GM traits are useless unless you run a gimmicky condition build that uses racials and on switch sigils where kindled zeal might see some use not because its great but because it helps while getting Zeal’s 30% condition duration. Spirit weapons are complete trash except for the shield in some situations and I haven’t tried them in Spvp but they need to go back to being invulnerable in PVE and WVW cause they die almost instantly with the slightest AOE so 50% more damage of an wasted cooldown is trash as well .

1-Spirit weapons need to be invulnerable in PVE in their current state they die immediately in aoe heavy fights, the only useful one is the shield to absorb projectiles.
2-Zealots Flame needs to act like a proper projectile and move up the X axis. It’s annoying as hell to have it say obstructed when the target is in front of you, but just happens to be on a wall( every ranged attack hits but zealots flame).
3-If 1 doesn’t happen we need a different grandmaster trait in Zeal that actually improves damage like 4% damage for each unused virtue
4- We need access to more conditions for condition builds to be viable, so a trait that adds bleeds to sword greatsword and spears should be added and while they are at it create poison alternative for sigil of earth.
5- Add a 25% movement speed trait while aegis is up guards have a difficult time traveling cause they their swiftness buffs have either long cooldown or really short duration.
