how was shield bash and headbutt OP?
both with 20+ sec cd,extremly ez to miss with MEGA OBVIOUS animation, even arc was hard to land vs competent players….,now with 1 sec precast and EP for 2 sec.. nerf heal again … season 1 warrior comming to pvp.
A half second cast time on a skill with that much stun, that much damage, a stun break , and full adrenaline gain on a 20s CD was stupidly broken. It’s still stronk.
Very stronk against total new players who can’t see the already telegraphed move now being telegraphed in slow-motion. :P
Headbutt is atrocious now. Feels like I’m chilled when I do it and it’s telegraphed from a mile away so anyone with a bit of sense will block/evade/whatver instantly.
Warriors are supposed to be tough, damage sponges and when they hit they hit hard. Just because people can’t kite in PvP doesn’t mean Warrior is the problem.
I do like the axe changes though. Can’t complain about getting more effects.
Well it’s quickly becoming the only thing we got left… :\
The real insanity lies in the Ventari Elite. You can spam it pretty much for tons of healing orbs on a near constant basis and it only costs 10 energy. Easy to keep up.
Thats also fun stuff, sadly im not into support at all.
True and granted you won’t be doing anything else since it uses up all remaining energy but it’s a fun thing to mess around with. :P

It’s bugged to hell currently. Nice “testing” once again.
To be honest,
100g is a ridiculus price for an exotic.
Unless you mean Ascended, then it’s about right.
More than that if you want a stat that’s actually used in current builds for the most part.
Interesting turns but I hope you all know what you’re doing. Pretty shaky ground storywise with these revelations… hope you do it right.
I dunno. I was frustrated fighting against Warriors so I just figured I’ll see how it is as a Warrior and it’s not all roses. If someone evades or blocks my initial burst I’m in a bad spot. Mobility is an issue with someone who decides to not try and tank with me. There are many ways to frustrate a Warrior.
Core Tyria Mastery points are pain in the behind to get and there should be more of them. Those Living Story Season 2 Achievements are complete garbage to try and get even if you own it.
Make sure any memory reading DPS meters (arcdps, BGDM, gw2helper), graphical enhancers (gemfx, reshade, etc), FPS, statistics, or “recording” tools (RivaStatisticsServer, Afterburner, NVIDIA ShadowPlay, etc) are not active with GW2.
Try running it as administrator, which can exclude similar things from loading into the process, and help work out if it’s some third party software that isn’t quite compatible with the newest Windows 10 update, or something else.
You could try GPU-Z and verify that, eg, you have a proper PCIe 16x connection, voltages seem reasonable, etc, with the video card. I’d also disable or remove any “GPU monitoring” software you have installed, as it’s possible that it polls the hardware in a way that happens, now, to cause problems.
Beyond that, it depends a bit if it is causing the entire OS to crash, or just locking up and being unresponsive to input. Can you use ctrl-alt-del and get to the login screen when everything is black?
If not, I’d keep working on the path of driver or hardware issues, through the standards like uninstall and reinstall the graphics driver, etc.
Thank you very much for the advice. I’ll follow these avenues. If it’s a GPU driver issue I’ll probably just have to wait for the next version. I believe it’s the first one released with the new Windows version update.
Now they need more husky body types. >.>
Just crashed on loading screen. The screen remained black and I had to hard reset my PC because I could do nothing. This is vexing to say to the least.
Ever since the Windows 10 Creator’s Update my game has been behaving oddly. It will flash to my desktop during loading screens. Sometimes the game will load into an area but the screen will remain black. I can hear everything but see nothing until I Alt+Tab out and back in.
Hopefully they linger long enough to when people actually get paid. I don’t know how Anet does things but most people don’t get paid on Tuesdays.
If people have to wait for their paycheck in order to buy gems, they probably are not in a financial situation where they should be spending money on superfluous video game items.
What? That’s exactly when people tend to have extra spending money.
5 tickets is fairly standard for the older sets. 3 is the cost for a soon-to-be-retired set or a recently-returned-but-newer set.
My point is they made it part of the announcement like it’s some grand deal when it’s really not. Black Lion Tickets are already RNG enough. It feels ridiculous.

“For a limited time, Chaos weapon skins have returned to the Black Lion Weapons Specialist for 5 Black Lion Claim Tickets. "
Gee thanks… I guess. >.>
You’re in luck they’re here for you.
Revenant: Short Bow.
I just want that sweet legendary bow.. Chuka and Chumpawat or something on my Rev.
i rolled one to pvp and test , i get destroyed its the only class that i simply cannot play with
Honestly whenever I see one on the enemy team I pretty much treat them as a DC. I feel zero threat from 99.999% of Revenants out there and I’m not good enough to be matched up against the 1 or 2 people with the skills to get something out of them. It’s a sad state of affairs.
I don’t even play my Revenant in PvP because I feel like I’m gimping my team it’s so bad.
They are “on the table”. :^)
Who does this? Do they feel proud of good records that they know were not earned? I don’t get it.
Run tagless, problem solved as much as it can be. Anyone who sees a large group of players will usually follow them anyway so your precious “alone time” with a guild will always have people tailing. It’s the nature of the mode.
Revenant but it’s a tough road lately.
Lose/Lose matchmaking. Stomping new or not great players (of which I am one) probably isn’t too fun for people wanting an actual match and getting stomped by people clearly way better than you makes you not to want to play.
It’s really demoralizing. You can win a few games in a row and then suddenly lose one and all your progress is trashed. It makes you not even want to keep playing. I think that’s not the effect they intended.
They “ban in waves” so cheaters and botters are free to ruin everyone else’s time until the next “wave” comes whenever that is. It’s not a good system.
Seems to be fixed now. I just had a match.
I agree with OP mostly because I’m sick of seeing Foefire. :P
“If you interact with people in an elitist tone I believe that gets you nowhere but ignored "
Nailed it. Your entire post was dripping with the tone you described.
Excellent idea. I don’t understand how anyone can be against it save for special snowflake mentality. Not everyone parks a single character from the beginning.
Find people who only care about the result. Winning is all that matters, dunno why people obsess over DPS and whatnot. If you win, you win. There’s no trophies for scoring higher DPS.
Yes and also think of some more creative dailies for the love of god. There’s so many things you could have as a daily task to do in PvP but I always see the same few. x.x
Only if we too get to be the worst Mary Sue’s ever created in videogames would I want that.
Honestly I’d rather she be forgotten as the low-tier fan-fiction wish fulfillment she was. >.>
Simple for me but I want Stow Pet to mean Stow Pet. I want to choose when it comes out not whenever I take the slightest damage. Mostly for traits that proc when you switch or bring your pet out.
It’s… meh. Best word I can describe.
No. The Ventari change amounts to a gimmick and not much more. They didn’t really address the core issue of Ventari in that’s it’s clunky to use and doesn’t really mesh well with the Revenant’s overall play style.
Hand-to-Hand Specialization. Brawler or Martial Artist type. >.>
the original way was a GREAT WAY for PVP players to obtain full sets of ascended gear
Translation: the original way was a GREAT WAY for PvE scrubs to come ruin the game-type players to obtain full sets of ascended gear
“Why is our game type dying?”
“Hi guys, these rewards really drew me in and it’s kinda fun. I might stick around.”
“REEE GET OUTTA HERE PVE SCRUB NOOB!!!”
Anyone from GW2.
It’s really awesome that they wasted so much time on this that literally no one will bother with now. Great job guys. :P
Engineer got pretty interesting stuff, I admit.
But, why are gadgets, turrets and med kit forgotten AGAIN?
Also, why you encourage people to play invisible condi thief by buffing it? There’s no fun with fighting against them. It’s the exact opposite.
I second this and would also wonder why Engineer Shields went ignored.
Also are there any plans to change/improve the Scrapper Trait?
Vengeful Hammers are pretty good now guys. Just stay away from walls though as per usual. :P
Also PSA: If you’re gonna delete your Revs make sure to salvage/bank what you can first!
Still too expensive energy usage
Disagree. The energy cost for hammers is fine. By the time you are almost out of energy, you need to swap back to Glint anyway. It’s the other skills with Jalis that need major reduction in energy costs.
Agree totally. I feel like I can’t really use Jalis for anything but Vengeful Hammers because the other skills cost way too much. I can sneak in skill here or there but then I’m left with nearly nothing for anything else… it’s frustrating to say the least.
Entropy for me.

I want to ask them why Scrapper got ZERO attention.
With statements like this I would not appear on the forums if I were in their shoes….
- Shredder Gyro Self-Destruct: Increased damage to match other gyros.
- Shredder Gyro: Increased damage by roughly 50%.
- Explosion: Skills that count as explosions for the traits Steel-Packed Powder, Explosive Powder, and Shrapnel are now marked with a skill fact. Scrapper gyro detonations are now considered explosions. There are only a few tweaks for Scrapper, sure. But that is not equal to ZERO as you say…
In any case, I am totally glad that devs finally started buffing and paying some attention to base professions, because that is what everyone needs right now: reduce powercreep of elite specs and improve base ones.
Speaking of which, I would like to ask them why there are still no changes to Death Shroud, because that is the only thing holding base necro back.
Yeah I was a bit hasty but still, the improvements to base Engineer make me question if I should even keep Scrapper traited. My statement doesn’t mean I won’t give it a real go and see how it shapes up and if I was wrong and it’s wonderful I’m not afraid to admit it. Let’s just say I’m still lukewarm on the Scrapper as a whole.
One point you did bring up which I agree with fully is the Death Shroud. Throughout all of this that truly feels like the forgotten skill. There really is no reason to take it over Reaper Shroud if you have the option. Reaper shroud still outclasses it in every way I feel. It does need some attention.
Scrapper is the new Engi. Ignored.
