To be honest, I never noticed an issue, me and a friend tested them when the first postings of them being potentially bugged came out, and I set my toughness/armor to a point where I could take 10,000 damage from a specific undead foe(s), or as close to it as possible, then the potion would either have been ~9,000 or up to ~11,000, and it was closer to 9k every time, I’m looking for the video on his stream channel but I didn’t think to save it so I’m not sure if it’s even there anymore.

I see it a lot about their voice actors being difficult to get in touch with. But aside from Zojja they’ve all had at least cameos in the Living Story, I don’t think it’s that, I think it’s just due to the fact that 1) because of the Personal Story, they have to be in certain places and 2) them appearing too soon will pretty much give away that an Elder Dragon is gonna be coming.

I just hope that, because it IS a Legendary Weapon, which to me feels like in order to wield one, you should have somewhat adequate knowledge of all aspects of the game, I also think there should be a rank 10 requirement in sPvP

If this is true, pending all other speculation, it makes sense that Marjory or Kasmeer will be one of the ones to die. 1 Human, 1 Charr, 1 Norn, 1 Asura, 1 Sylvari. Destiny’s Edge (2.0). Pending Scarlet snaps out of w/e’s making her crazy, I’m sure at some point she’ll become good and be apart of it. Along with Braham, Rox, Taimi and Kasmeer/Marjory.
The only issue I see with this whole theory, is that Taimi and Scarlet are both Engineers. And I’m assuming 1 of each race, and no repeating professions will be the case.

I hope this isn’t a bug, ‘cause it didn’t make much sense for them to instantly attack a stealthed player when he came out of stealth, before the mesmer even realized where the stealthed player was to begin with either.
None of the tooltips suggest that illusions come outfitted with the most advanced satellites and tracking devices of any sort.
So, if your opponent stealth, you should loose 90% your damage and defense. Mmmmm, nope, I really don’t think that is an idea you would like to see implemented to your own class.
But it’s fine that you can cast phantasms and clones without being affected by evades or blocks and that they always know where the player is instantly. Clones and phantasm in this game are smarter than the actual player and can not be juked.

I find that very hard to believe. The way it is now, the wurm head has to be “vulnerable” for at least 45 seconds of the two minutes in order to down it in melee. The rest of the time he is unattackable in melee because of his movements and AoE. But in range, that full two minutes he is taking damage, consistently. 2 minutes of range can deal more damage than 45 seconds of melee.

It shouldn’t be luck, if you’re trying to melee it you’re probably doing it wrong. Use Range, you don’t have to wait for it to stop moving, because obviously that may never happen.

The worms are only phase one, and the average quality of player won’t be able to down the three heads in the two minute time limit during phase two. Most attempts seriously lack damage, much like most of the marionette attempts on Crystal desert; they were failing the first lane champ repeatedly yesterday.
Crystal Desert has a strong streak of beating the Marionette, I have all of the evade achievements from attempts on the server :p. Sometimes are more irritating than others though.

I logged into Bloodtide Coast on my home server (Crystal Desert) about 5 minutes ago, 10 minutes prior to the Triple Wurm’s spawn time. The Meta Event says: The coast is clear of great jungle wurm attacks.
Wouldn’t it say “Efforts to defeat the great jungle wurm have failed. The great jungle wurm is terrorizing the coast.”?? A friend on Stormbluff Isle has said that his says this, so I am wondering if this means the wurm has been defeated. Unfortunately I wasn’t there so I don’t know for sure, but if anyone could check to see if its a bug, or a server reset or anything of the sort I’d love to get a definitive answer.

It’s not that, we just don’t care about optimization. we’re fully aware that what we have isn’t 100% the best, but we take DPS and mix in our own little variety. The Ranger does use Spotter and Frost Spirit, and sits on Longbow hitting for around 4,000 with his auto attacks.

Seeing those kind of builds that people use to run in other professions makes me think how warrior is OP for pve. If you had a zerker warrior in your group there would be no doubt of who is dealing more dps. A sword ranger may have awesome dps, but the weapon is just awful, i would like to see a ranger fighting alphard and being able to dodge that pull while using sword.
A zerker warrior is naturally tanky, have lots of blocks, endure pain, have an easy time skipping stuff and so on, and they dont need to sacrifice survivability for that, people that run shout heal builds are deluded if they think that those 1.5k heals are helping then in anything, a dps build actually increases your survivability on a warrior making it easier to rally.
Just tell to your friends to lvl up a warrior and leave just one guardian in the group, it will make things much easier.
Oh, and even if there is anyone that can dodge alphards pull with sword ranger the pet cant dodge, thats another fight where you just want to kill the pet right at the beginning.
Alphard is path 2, we do path 4 :p.
To update things: Runes and stuff don’t really matter, assume its all the same, just take the trait setups at face value, running the proper traits in the lines.
Aside from the Guardians going down, that just requires practice, if they do go down, obviously they have less DPS, I know that, but what if they’re staying up the entire fight.

Hi guys! Me and three friends 4 man Arah p4 almost daily, the only times we don’t are if real life gets in the way. Anyway you guys don’t care about that.
Our party comp is: 3 Guardians and a Ranger (gasp!). We aren’t optimized for full DPS, we don’t really care to be, the path takes us 2 hours but we enjoy it. If we wanted to go faster we’d exploit and skip but that isn’t our style.
One Guardian runs more tanky, just as a security net in case we have any problems he’s able to res us easily. Another one is running 20/0/0/25/25, because the Guardian enjoys the traits in the lines selected. A Third runs 20/15/30/0/5, justifying the trait set up for Meditations and 30% Crit Damage. Our ranger runs a Longbow with two Drakes. The last 3 run full Berserker.
Again, we aren’t looking for full 100% efficiency, we all know what to do in terms of optimizing DPS. We are a close knit group, so we joke around and try to brag about who is dealing the most damage (obv not the tanky one but the other 3). I want your opinions on who you all think has the most DPS. The Ranger at one point said “I don’t consider you two DPS”, to the two Guardians, and would talk about his Rapid Fire hitting for 20k sometimes. The tanky Guardian once said that “all i know is its feels like we’re 2 manning”, referring to himself and the Ranger. Now, he said that due to the other two Guardians going down frequently, but the Ranger claims to be able to deal more DPS than the Guardians. What are your thoughts, without knowing anything else, which build do you think should be hitting the hardest, and why?

I don’t mind killing those 3 bosses, but they should fix the LFG tool abuse.
Spending time doing a legit P4 only to get kicked or merged for hours (ofc by Heitred) is not cool. Been there.I’ve yet to encounter this issue, but I also add people intelligently. No matter how many people I run with (whether 2-4), I have friends fill up until I have 4, and invite people one at a time, get money, then my friends stagger their exits from the party, one at a time until I fill up with buyers. Takes longer but once people pay you they’re kinda stuck.
Then you’ve never sold when Heitred is online. Using fillers doesn’t protect you from party merge.
If I have 4 in my party at all times, all that can be done is have a 5th enter, and instantly leave, causing me to have to repost my LFG listing. That’s all I ever have to do

But, I can understand why they feel the way they do about it being a performance issue, with Fire Elementals out, my FPS is around 5-10 at Tequatl, without them, closer to 20-30.

Probaly Banner of Discipline nerf since they have an excuse now that crit damage is ferocity
God, I hadn’t even though about that yet. Lightning Hammer will probably get the axe as well.
The patch was as usual, some good changes, some bad changes. But the crit dmg change was just ridiculous, 10% dmg decrease for no good reason, other than to appease the anti-zerk crowd. If Anet would just play their own game at a high level they would see that this change is just completely unnecessary.

This seems to be the ANet necro balancing pattern since BW2 there about, where someone was apparently able to out-bunker the other team by using DS in some way.

I tend to agree that this is a good tactikittenil this happened. Back in July, Cutthroat Politics, doing Candidate Trials, if anyone remembers doing levels 3/4 and finding them difficult (not looking for “these were super easy, l2p”), there was a guide released by some video game blogger saying to stay back away from the enemies and only kill the ones going for treasure by stealthing and DPSing them down, then just break aggro and repeat. I guess ArenaNet told said blogger that that was an exploit and was asked to remove the guide. Then against, two different areas of the game, but accomplishing a similar goal, so I dunno how to feel about it anymore :p

I love pugging, I don’t care about being the fastest, or the most efficient. I play dungeons to have fun, and some pugs have incredibly fun characters in them. Like last night, I did Arah P4, took an hr30 to complete, had two first timers, and the people I met were awesome

RANDOM number generator. It is RANDOM. 100% Random. Not changeable at all. Nothing you can do can modify the RANDOM number generator. Any sort of pattern you see, is in your head. Other games can have the RNG modified by doing little things such as attacking yourself, or using all of your items. This game doesn’t have that though
