That works fine until you run into problems all the time (for example due lack of personal skill, quite common issue).
And when you don’t know you pick the one with best odds, the level 80.
Similarly why people pick guys with exotic gear and right profession.
How those level 80’s know that you won’t be just burden to their team?
Warrior downed skills are even more funny underwater.
Solo Lupicus without GS, then we can talk.
Swiftness and out-of-combat should be enough. I have posted it in another similar topic but can’t be bothered to search it up.
It usually takes few hours, depends how long I get stuck on some encounters.
While I understand your meaning, I’d actually be more inclined to do it with a developer for the ensuing comedy. xD
Yeah, and upon retrospect, whenever I throw on my dev tag for a dungeon, people tend to show me exploits and point them out >.<
However I have been thoroughly amused at times. I tend to hide my dev tags when finding a PUG, and then halfway through the dungeon I will tag up, and watch everyone leave the instance within minutes.
Reminds me of wearing transmuted “Worn Chain”-gear in Arah and then swapping to real ones after Lupicus. I haven’t been able to make them leave though but I have got kicked plenty of times, usually before the first boss.
Sorry, I’m bit late to the party. I had a Queen to rescue (http://www.youtu.be/yIgQWLCJpfY).
But as stated, I’m not a true solo-king when I miss so many paths.
I would love to see my personal score.
It’s a DPS check. I did this 2 nights ago to earn my dungeon master achievement. We were originally 5 people and we failed to do it for more than 1 hour then the 100b left because it was quite late. Huge thanks to Wethospu whom I PMed that night and he came to my aid and we did it in 20 minutes, time needed to adjust to each other and work together. See all it took was 1 person that knows what he’s doing. As guardian I was stuck on tear duty .. but I did fairly well ^^
Wethospu, if you’re reading this, I owe you a huge thanks, again. It was a pleasure doing this with you
It’s usually quite fast tokens (and chance for recipe). But as you said, it was indeed quite late. :P
We already had a system with a time (time to run back).
Also if you consider wp-zerging as a strategy….
Higher level Fractals are easy with Warrior, just did level 9 yesterday (that’s “further level”, right?).
It already had “a timer”, time it took to run back. Adding 15 seconds or something hardly makes any difference, especially when they add more waypoints.
What you just want is that you can freely die and don’t care about team-mates.
5 minute respawn timer sounds good for me.
All those level 80 teams with 3k+ achievements who stack on Lupicus phase 1.

Allow WP-zerg but make bosses reset if anyone gets defeated or leaves combat. Problem solved.
Ohgodno! That would be terribad! One person gets bad luck on GL or SA and you have to restart from scratch? That would be worse and make Arah even more impossible for most groups.
But hey, you could wp-zerg. Who cares about game integrity!
Ok, that was bad idea. Next one. Allow wp-zerg but also add waypoints for enemies (like in SPvP).

Or maybe just get decent.
Bought keys for Consortium? chests, never again.
AoE pressure kills (like Lupicus phase 2).
I have also seen many photos and shops in my life.
But is is quite strange that people often get all kind of bugs and problems on their first run when I have done it ~30 times and succeeded every time (mostly pugs).
That’s strange. Me, haviz and one thief just killed her straight after 4-1.
Pull some of them behind corner, perhaps some CC, then Frenzy + HB + Whirlwind.

while you also have top-HP and top-armor, so be glad with that…
Glad you said this, was wondering whether you were serious or not.
It shouldn’t even be Burst Damage. We have only two skills which are used for raw damage. More universal mechanic would be much better (reduced cd, faster adre gain, etc).
Some are soloable but better find at least few guys to play with. Keep in mind that some story-modes are harder than exp-modes.
On my solo attempts I have noticed that in many cases being ranged would me much much easier than melee. For example you can indefinitely kite many enemies or just zig-zag and avoid their every/most attacks. And a lot more reaction time and melee-only attacks/effects.
More mobile enemies, less fixated aggro and less straying projectiles would quickly balance it.

High Troll, that actually sounds quite nice.
What’s so hard with that path that you demand whopping paycheck?
There is one Boss most people seem to have trouble with: Simin the High Priestess of Dwayna and since i met people willing to pay that much money I thought it to be a nice price.
Nice, btw have I got a spot reserved? My post was 3rd.
Lucker, I missed my chances.
Ranged usually has way better reward/risk ratio (point of this topic).
I’d really love to figure out how to melee her, though. Between her silly AoE burning aura and Retaliation, I just can’t do it.
:S
Break LoS and she walks out of her symbols.
Then as usually, stay at max melee-range so dumb enemies won’t hit you.
While melee is usually easy, ranged is usually so utterly boring. It really depends how you define “favor”. If “favor = easier to play” then yeah ranged wins. If “favor = faster runs” then melee usually wins.
Warrior, doesn’t matter whether team is alive or dead (preferably dead).
So instead of testing things we all should just make up random stuff.
You know, if they actually fixed all these weird design flaws, the amount of rage on the forums would triple. People already can’t get through a storymode CM…
It would be nice to have this option available, though. I’d love to take my normal group through a dungeon where everything you mentioned as a design flaw didn’t exist. That’d be a lot of fun. Sometimes we get bored and try to find ways to stack the dungeon against us, haha.

One can only dream
Hopefully you remove 4-1 in return. That would make it acceptable. If possible, remove that “stealth only when below 50% health” (remove max health in return if needed).
But I really hope it doesn’t turn yet another “faceroll”-fight. If your change allows very bad spark-runs then make her appear at random spots in return.
Just go to test on PvP dummies.
On GS spec (Slashing Power, Forceful Greatsword) (30, 30, 10) with glass + FGJ! + Signet of Rage dummy drops between 3-3,5 seconds.
On similar Axe spec (Axe Mastery, Dual Wield) dummy drops between 3,5-4 seconds.
Doesn’t seem like 14% more DPS for me.

You don’t really need pull skills to split groups, but might help a bit. I agree control-skills are quite useless in PvE but that should also be changed (like mobile enemies which deal great pressure so you need allies to help).
I’m not particularly talking about CM, all dungeons have these same “issues”.
Yes, using LoS is very effective and not abusing it would be stupid. But I want the game to be less about dumb AI. Currently whenever you get advice it’s always about how to abuse bad AI (skip, split groups, pull behind corner, etc).
I understand it is probably quite hard to get my point when it’s more about design principles.
Why do they bother putting enemies in groups if they are supposed to be split? How does it logically make sense that enemy group doesn’t care at all that you pick them off one by one?
Standing on funny spots meant going to a spot where you can “afk-ranged” bosses.
Again, why they bother putting any enemies if they are supposed to be skipped (it’s easier and faster than fighting after all…)? How does it logically make sense that enemies simply forget that you ever existed once you pass a magical border?
Using terrain when kiting meant changing elevation with jumping. Because enemies can’t do any vertical movement it is very effective way to kite them.
Abusing line of sight has nothing to do with being smart, all you do is hide behind corner. Smart positioning should be about moving to positions where you can maximize your damage output while minimizing risks. Why do ranged monsters give up their advantage when they voluntarily come to melee-range?
Hitting through walls can be used a lot more when kiting enemies around corners. Why enemy melees don’t do that if we can? Or why we can even do that?
Using reflections hardly takes any skill. Just put it at front of enemy at any moment. Why won’t enemies stop shooting after 1-2 secs when being reflected? Most importantly, why don’t they dodge…
Am I the only who finds state of the dungeons bit sad when it’s more about exploiting stupid AI than using your own skill correctly?
Splitting groups with pulling, standing on funny spots, skipping, using terrain when kiting, abusing line-of-sight, hitting through walls, watching them just suiciding against reflects., watching them stand there eating all damage…
Above is pretty much only reason I can solo stuff.
I would say they are horrible filthy hackers, dirty too.
As said, it takes a while to everyone get it.
Unfortunately, it’s out-dated. I was thinking it would be the best to try keep videos as relevant as possible.

It takes while to get everyone understand Signet-build sucks.
Simin doesn’t have phases. She hides when she is at <= 50% health and timer is out. If she keeps hiding at 50% that means timer always runs out.
If you compare Simin to 99% of encounters where you can faceroll without any brains then yes, it is a weird fight.
Whether one or two people get petrified depends on aggro. She uses “Dark Pact” to apply “Dead Eyed Stare”. When that expires you get “Petrify”. If she uses “Dark Pact” on same target all the time you get only one guy petrified. If she switches aggro you get more people petrified.
I’ve had her come out of stealth and restealth before a single 100 blade animation ended, the person that described the phases in detail seem to correlate with my experiences on simin
Two options:
1) Her timer is random so she may re-stealth very fast occasionally.
2) We don’t know how time spent hiding actually affects her internal timer. Perhaps it goes double-speed to make sparks more important?
Good job! Melee is always more impressive than ranged.
I use Greatsword and Axe!
It’s simple. My Warrior is not dealing enough damage.
