So I was talking with some Blackgaters and they got all mad and had to have to ask their whole guild to send in bans because they cannot handle some criticism.

You didn’t post the whole conversation, and you ultimately were reported for something you cannot confirm with us with that picture. I can easily assume what you said was abusive and warranted the reports. If other guildmates are reporting you, then either that person is just trying to scare you or you are legitimately that much of a cancer. Which is it?

They disabled anything used through town clothes. You cannot enter townclothes, therefore any equipped toys in town clothes will not be usable.

They are also refusing to comment on whether or not we get the refunds that we deserve for having content that is unusable.

Good work BG and all our wonderful guilds! We held strong under pressure and our persistence has payed off. Hard work and refusing to quit is what brought us to the top. I hope this will be an example for other servers to build off of next season. I’d like to see a little more dedication, hard work, and team spirit on the other servers. There are too many weekend warriors who get discouraged and give up very easily.

Also looking forward to TC growing into its place in tier 1. They have a wonderful WvW attitude and I always enjoy fighting them.

They could put something in where you can’t access your points until level 80 or something.

I REALLY hope this system doesn’t split points between characters as some people have suggested.

IMO, what they need to do is add some actual gameplay requirement. Anyone can get gold simply by buying gems. Being a commander should require at least some demonstration of PvP / WvW skill and experience, not just access to gold.

And yes, it should definitely be account-wide.

Also, give players an option to block commander icons. Even commanders on our blocklist show up on the map…

I agree with you, but unfortunately, I have yet to see anyones have an idea that would work in that way. It’s hard to determine “skill” as a commander as far as the game data side of things. They could run it off a basic WvW playtime for starters, but I don’t think they log hours in wvw separate from normal hours.

I know a few people who have bought a few of the more expensive ones (Deep Glacial, Pyre, Vincent) for every single profession they have.

The dyes are the price because the limited supply is lost when used and cannot be redeemed. Less being used = more supply = lower price, how would I profit?

None of the altists I know buy them. You have some rich friends. Introduce me? You would still gain a profit in the end. As players that are that rich are not as common as altists who are not rich. For every “duplicate” dye sale you would have lost, you would gain many more from the [lower class]

Yeah it should probably be account bound. But they need to increase the cost. With inflation 100g is not what it used to be. Anyone can be a commander within a day or 2 of farming now.

It would be neat if they had a sort of system where you could buy another tag and combine it with your first one for a different color (think, higher status commander)

It was a bad idea for them to retract the armor. Only the whiners are going to be the ones who post. The ones who love it and have no problem with it will be playing the game enjoying their new armor… not posting about it.

Hey, everyone. We’ve been reading all your feedback about the Flamekissed Armor Skin that was released into the Gem Store yesterday.

Although the Flamekissed Armor uses the same mesh as the Tier 3 Human Cultural Armor, it was not our intention to create an armor skin that so closely matched the existing Tier 3 Human Cultural armor set. The intention was to use the mesh as a basis for creating an armor set that stands apart and is distinct in appearance. However, after reading your feedback, we agree that the Flamekissed armor is not visually distinct enough from Human Cultural Tier 3 armor.

We will do a few things to address this issue.

• We will temporarily remove Flamekissed Armor Skin from the Gem Store.
• Players who have purchased Flamekissed Armor Skin will keep the skin.
• We will make new art for the Flamekissed Armor Skin that achieves our goal of making a visually distinct and attractive armor set and does not closely resemble the Human Tier 3 Cultural armor.
• Once this new artwork is completed, we will then update the Flamekissed Armor Skin so that all existing sets that players have purchased get the new art. We will also offer the Flamekissed Armor Skin for sale again at that time.
• When we update the Flamekissed Armor Skins with the new artwork, any player that has already purchased the set and who does not like the new, updated look, can get a full refund by contacting Customer Support.

Note that there is no ETA on when this change will happen. We need to work with the Character Art Team to determine when we can have a new armor skin ready, and this could take some time.

ANet has already stated that they do not want to do this because they want your build to feel like “a semi-permanent choice”.

As a slight modification though I would really like to be able to save build templates, but still be required to visit a trainer to reset our traits. This way we would have a system like GW1 wherein you could save different builds but could only switch them out when in a town. This would retain the semi-permanent feel of your build while alleviating the small annoyance of having to redo a build everytime you want to switch builds.

I don’t know how they justify walking up to a retraiter as “semi-permanent”.

I like your idea. I play multiple characters, and multiple characters within those builds. I went to play a toon last night, that I hadn’t played for a while, and I wanted to play a build on it that I hadn’t played for even longer. I had a hard time remembering it and had to re-craft it!

I had the same gripe when leveling many of my characters, I wear the same aesthetic for half the level up process, then briefly a crafted set in the middle, and then back to the same aesthetic. If leveling took longer, it would have really annoyed me. Thankfully you can get out of it and to level 80 fairly quickly. I wish there was a wider variety of more basic looking low level armor. I don’t like for my characters to be too flashy, and I would use some more of it.

I think this would be nice. Mostly because there are a few exotic weapons that have standard blue/green icons, and it can get confusing. But there are the nice fractal sorting bags if you need them. I buy all greens, then 1 invisible, 1 rare, and sometimes 1 exotic bag

I think of them both as straight dmg weapons, the the benefit of the harpoon gun adding a little bit of condi on short cooldowns. The F1 is a water version of killshot, and easier to land since you can move around while doing it. The harpoon 4 and 5 are great CC. Try swimming above someone and using 5 to push them to the bottom of the sea!

Spear is a little bit more tanky, with a block skill and an aoe interrupt, and has great burst and catch potential. Try a 3→2 combo and finish them with 5. They’re survived it? Swap to harpoon, hit them with 4, swim above, knock em to bottom with 5, then killshot em

If you are someone who follows proper dueling and gvg etiquette, and want to police the arena for your server between duels etc, feel free ask a GCA member for an invite. Currently we only have a few people on BG and SoS.

Feel free to whisper me in game for an invite. Only repping inside the arena and downing them players who interrupt duels, gvgs, etc.

I am just really exploring axe for the first time in wvw combat, its last on my list besides sword/sword.

I’m mainly looking for some interesting roaming builds. If there are some cool large combat zerg builds, I would be interested in that as well.

Currently I am playing a 20 0 20 0 30 zerker spec with axe/shield and GS. I jump in, do a bunch of damage, get out. You can pretty much figure out all the traits. Cleansing ire is one of my favorite traits and I had trouble roaming without it.

I’ve even been using it in large scale to assassinate back-line squishies. I’ve pulled off a few 100b’s on enemy zergs with endure pain and whirl out, just for the lol’s

You really want your keep siege capped with 50 rams built inside and no arrow carts, trebs, ballistas, or anything? All because 1 player didn’t like what your commander was doing?

If that is the reason then there needs to be a different solution. Nothing stops that one guy from refreshing those sieges.

As for the despawn. Well at least it gives the person on guard duty something to do. :p

There is something stopping that one guy from refreshing those sieges: SLEEP. He has to sleep at some point. If you have another solution then what is it?

Another issue used to be that you’d have a fully upgraded keep or tower or castle, with siege that was USED TO TAKE IT still sitting around. Or you’d be siege capped with basic siege, not superior, and there was nothing you could do about it.

Ridculy. The most adaptive and intelligent commander I have ever seen or known. Ridculy sets and breaks metas.

Can’t even bring myself to read the entire first post when the first 2 sentences are incorrect. You can ABSOLUTELY defend an objective while outmanned. You just need to build defensive siege. I’ve seen as little as 1 person, with a trebuchet, stop a zerg from attacking a gate (supply cows) You also have supply traps at your desposal. 1-3 people can stop an entire enemy zerg at an objective they are defending. Sure that zerg can dps the gate, but it takes a while, and you can get reinforcements by that time.

If WvW was purely about numbers, then how come I often beat players in 1v2s, 1v3, 1v4, and even 1v5s? (level 80s) Heck last night I was on an axe warrior spec, with a lvl 40 p/p engi teammate nearby. We beat 2 level 80 elementalists and a level 80 dps hammer warrior.

But it’s been around since the start, we would MISS it if it got fixed!
