Only when I think it’s 100% safe, I swap pistol to focus for the speed increase and swap back to pistol straight away.
That’s a 33% speed increase while I have pistol equippped.
33% speed increase with a long range 3 second stun/interrupt, medium range cripple/immobilize with sword #3… It’s pretty overpowered already as it is.
It’s not like the option isn’t there…
People just need to get a bit creative.

We would be sickeningly more OP than we already are if we were to have a passive 25% speed increase that didn’t require a trait or weapon skill..
Since when mesmers have free utility slots not occupied with feedback, null field, portal, decoy, blink, domination, thievery, mirrors, etc?
Did you get these numbers from observation/testing?
Yes, I tested that in mists and sometimes use them in maw\charr fractal.
Three things stopped me from using them: range of healing, cast time, healing priorities. Recent patches helped with at least 2 of those issues.
Range is roughly ~600-700, 5 target limit.
We’re still phantasmal slugs and even backback phase retreat don’t make up. Glad they decided to revert signet nerfs though.

Arguing for the sake of arguing is basically waste of time.
What I’m talking about here is mobility of both elementalist and mesmer, where blinks and their usefulness play big part.
Traited Vigor\regen\3might\damaging 900 LF versus traited 1200 blink that doesn’t do damage and all those buffs. Blinks seem balanced for me, so no need to changing them(in fact, I’d be happy if anet fix some LF pathing issues, when it sometimes just do nothing while you stand on seemingly perfect flat ground – highly annoying and happens less on my mesmer!).
Mobility overall isn’t – that’s where “100% swiftness uptime”-type argument steps in. Elementalists can achieve it without crippling their potential while mesmers can’t.
Is it fair to buff already nice elementalist mobility even more? Think about it.
I find it useful for entire party survival on arah trash mobs like risen elementalist, mage, hunter, champion spider: those that have hard-hitting projectiles.
Could be kinda nice on volcano, dredge, asura fractals for blocking shaman’s agony shots and elemental’s sticky shots, dredge suit’s bombs and turret\trash dredge shots, harpy knockback and boss agony shots respectively.
If only swirling winds worked like feedback and had lesser cd, but well that will be too much. :p
You mean with the 5-skill sequence that requires a specific utility and a specific weapon? And I’d love to have clones, see we can’t have them all, can we? Anyway I’ve already said my opinion on this subject on my first post on this topic

He actually does a whirling finisher now where I do not recall him ever doing that.
But Iberserker was whirl finisher since betas. I remember accidentally discovering this for myself when testing glamour confusion builds on golems during bwe3(or bwe2).

Sword\focus\staff(gs), berserker gear, 10-20-0-10-30. Works anywhere(except arah and higher fractals :/).
I can’t kill lupicus as mesmer, but can kite it nearly indefinitely as elementalist. Don’t know why.

I think the only reason is to change bugged tooltip, sword never reflected anything.
Mariner, hits for 7000-8000 single target, spawns melee range and do this while evading everything. That’s powerful.
Has no delay.
None will dodge or flee to maintain distance.
Sometimes warlock and duelist flee from target when it goes melee, but that’s extremely rare occurrence.
IMHO, GS is now unviable as a mesmer weapon; really REALLY glad I haven’t done my GS Legendary as I planned.
And that’s… wrong. Remember, GS is still our only ranged choice that isn’t affected by feedback and delivers damage instantly. So it has it’s uses even without phantasm.

I also used the aoe heal on Mantra consumption, again, no one received the heal but me… and that was only for the healing mantra and not for “Mantra of Pain”.. Is this bugged or did I have a buggy night?
Oh, no, this isn’t working like that. Heal from this trait occurs when you ready your mantra, i.e. after you charged it. Range is quite hectic, I think it’s around 500-600, but even in my berserker gear without a single +healing, this trait aoe heals for ~2600 hp after each mantra charge, so I guess full power\healing\toughness mantra healing build under quickness will be quite uber.

This delay bug(or intended? aren’t really sure) was there since gs auto buff patch notes and this new patch seems to broke our gimmicky workarounds. I have no words. GS dps goes down and down with each patch.
On the other hand, our shiny mantra heal spec is even more shiny now, with all these phantasms working as walking boon machines.
Yeah, let’s take portals away and force mesmers into feedbackbots or small skirmishes even further.

AFAIK, blind doesn’t effect any AE skills other than mesmer’s and only the first hit on a multi-hit skill.
If they are gtae\pbae multi-hit, then yes. Single-hit targeted aoe’s are negated(elementalist staff fire\air auto for instance).
But the issue of phantasms is that they combine multiple mechanics in one skill and in case of Iberserker they(roughly) will be targeted, summon, pbae.
It’s really hard to actually find what counters should affect this skill, what shouldn’t and on top of this not break ever volatile balance in pvp, pve and www.
That’s hell of a job and we should at least give balance team some time to think about it.
Even bugged it’s still useful sometimes.
True power of this signet lies in it’s active.
The first time I was ‘busted’ with MF gear and asked to change it was at lvl 19. I did so without any opposition. Then at lvl 20 I went in with full rare MF again except +5 ar ring. It was the first dungeon without any repair cost for me, meaning I did not die even once.
Later on I figured that I do not die as much as full exo proper gear wearers and infact I keep alive longer that most of them. I guess that is because;
1) I have a +5 ar ring
2) I know how to dodge and know which boss’ which attack puts agony.
3) I have a guardian and have lots of shields which help me block agony attacks.
But that’s you. I was talking about guy who(looks like) don’t have +5 ring, don’t know how to dodge and while playing guardian, dies faster then my full valkyrie elementalist.
And ppl will stop playing mesmer (or the game) as they are already doing it.

This particular node in karka hive just crumbled after first gathering attempt.
Second time(I have 2 characters).
Why?
I think it’s just selfish. Ran into this kind of player in full mf some time ago on fractal 10 and it wasn’t pleasant experience. He died first and forced us to finish most encounters as 4man.
On top of that, carried person pulled his jerk card and insulted us, when we pointed out that he should change his gear.
And you can’t even kick this kind of people in fractal, this is a problem.
Don’t worry, I’m sure they will add more. In time.

Bring some feedbacks from guardian\mesmer, really helps on summons.
He’s right. This star also bugs through solid objects, from what I heard.
Lv82 icebrood kodans are normal there.
But lvl82 jormag claymores and hunters aren’t. They hit really hard now!
Loot is always RNG even with high Magic Find. I don’t know how many times I have to say this, but 100% magic find doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed anything, it simply means you have a +100% chance of finding something.
Prior to patch I looted stable 1-3 rares per full run. Some days even 4, but that was super luck.
Now I loot nothing but green and blue trash.

Mainly in HotW. I don’t remember seeing lvl 82 mobs there.
Also they drop less, and I’m sitting with ~100% magic find?
What happened?
Mass Invisibility + Lyssa runes + Signet of Inspiration + 2 mesmers = infinite stream of boon love. :]
I can confirm the bug described by the OP. For now, the only workaround is to slot the trait offering “Phantasms have fury.”

I think any class can do PvE just fine, but its a well known issues that Necro is very weak at tagging in events due to conditions being the viable build and wells having such a long cooldown and burst not being an option.
Necromancer is one of the best tagging machines out there due to precasted, ground-targeted marks that tag mobs even before they appear.
Necromancer is weak? I won’t say that. Hard cc that ignores defiant stacks(fear) and wells make any dungeon easier.
Today I had around 3 or 4 swamps one after another and actually enjoyed them!
Lupicus, both dredge fractal bosses, HotW butcher path last boss, CM’s asura and seraph path last bosses, and all TA tree bosses, those I personally find really annoying for melee.
However if melee does his job okay without deaths, I see no reason to kick.
My greatsword gathers dust and I don’t like the way staff is dealing damage!
