Awesome, I sometimes get bored and run the instagib build. Really funny but completely useless, most decent roamers will be able to kill you, and most 2v1, 3v1. Still fun to do tho!

I can’t be bothered to be perfectly honest. So now I have made it common knowledge I am sure someone will test.

A Ranger in wvw managed to do this to me multiple times.

The moment I went invisible he ran backwards at a 45’ angle. I am able to get behind him, and all my backstabs miss. I stand still and when he gets near they all miss. I attack from the front and the backstabs still miss.

He wasn’t attacking.

This needs testing and if it is a problem fix asap. If it is a latency issue then all tests to try redo this will fail and we will know.

Halloween next month. Full moon.

Used it. Is amazing. Personally i took scorpion wire, for an extra backstab combo which works well since most people can’t stun break the venom then the wire.

Boon duration is also good, with might in stealth normally hold on to 11 might stacks for the backstab hit, which is more than i was able to reliable do before.

I am someone that doesn’t like SAB.

I completed last year on normal mode (just), and baby mode was enjoyable and meant I got to see the content but not get any rewards and so a quick run, ah this is nice, and back to normal stuff for me.

So this year I am on baby mode, and its fun, just like last year (still died alot). Then I get to the point where i need a torch. So i buy one from the balls i saved last year. Then i need to upgrade this torch. I dont have any balls (yes haha) so now can’t progress further without spending an hour (or so) farming balls to buy a torch to see the last bit of the content.

My theory was baby mode awards nothing, but lets you see the content and if you do like it progress to normal mode and do it properly. There should be clouds to go around obstacles like this. Would of liked to cheat fight the last boss and say i completed it.

Just my 2 cents.

If you like small 15 / 15 type fights. I daggerstorm into then out of the middle/sides with shadow return. Then find a easy class to kill (currently off to the side out of the aoes) and on the second push through, scorpion wire them off to the side (check there buffs/change to another character if needed), CD, Backstab, HS. Stomp. Any of my downs get res’d and its hard to stop since its off to the side and out of the way.

Use rune of the traveler.

Changed out divinity for these on a d/d backstab build i run. Scorpion wire means another combo, and most people don’t survive both hits.

Precision/Toughness/Condition damage

Why that instead of power vitality condition damage?

Tested for 30mins aoe killing low level mobs.

Thief in wvw always carriers signet. Now it doesnt have to and has another utility slot for loosing 6% crit damage (30 power, 30 precision).

Well done to the investors, it will pay off. 25% movement speed, I only predicted 10% max and will loose out.

Mesmer and thieves, this will be there new primary rune.

Example:

Ice Drake Venom (Instant, 45 second cool-down.)
Chill and Burn your foes when you attack for the next 10 seconds. 1 second internal cooldown (tbh would loose this so you could do aoe conditions).

Chilled: 2 s
Burning: 2 s
Duration: 30 s

Prefer a timelimit than a number of strikes that are normally blocked or hit a pet/illusion/minon.

Would be worth giving up a decent utility skill now.

Even in zerg pve, i would maintain a full stack of boons with this sigil. After i get 25 stacks swap out to a weapon with this on.

Dungeons have enough trash mobs to keep lots of boons on, not that anyone needs help with trash.

For a mesmer, that can have a random boon every few seconds, and boon on interpt, and boon on kill, and run a boon share build, would be awesome.

So yes it has so much potential, its a wait and see. Might be a niche market that lots of people missed.

Price spiked like many things after the video. Plat doubloons that make it also spiked. Seems to of settled down again.

The new sigil giving a random boon on kill i think is quite good, i expect it to go up in price as people slowly start to realise it is good. My investment in it is already sold on this spike.

It can be crafted so the price shouldn’t sky rocket to much. This is why i jumped ship early. Yet i still expect it and plat doubloons to increase in price on Tuesday.

Mesmer: Awesome

Necro: Awesome

Engineer: gives chaos armour good. causes reveal, to small aoe range.

Elemental: Useless.

Thief: Any stealth, against a thief, great lets all fight in stealth.

Guardian: OP, just time it right, can solo a guardian, in a non 1v1, pretty poor.

Ranger: Awesome, cluster bomb it for aoe healing for your team, aoe regen, healing on moves.

Warrior: Awesome, but doesnt give stability so to easy to stop you.

Shadow refuge can give two stealth attacks with pistol mainhand if you attack instantly.

Mesmers are forced to trait weapons for lower cooldown, we are not alone.

Use mug to help with healing, and stay in stealth for 3 seconds before backstabbing, if your low on health, stealth against and dont attack so you wont get revealed.

Against other thieves tho, i normally poke them abit they poke me abit then i bow and leave, its a draw so no point prolonging it.

Two new condition damage rune sets. Torment and Confusion based. So no use to this thread.

Celestial armour stats have now been released but are massively timegated.

Two new sigils which are bugged atm. Both give +6% condition duration. One is called Sigil of Bursting which we reckon is meant to give +6% critical damage. So when it is fixed would be interesting.

Sigil of force +5% attack should give more damage than +6% critical damage, but with the 100% critical chance would be interesting. Also would it be better to have a sigil of force and a sigil of bursting, or air/fire still the higher dps.

Mainly thinking the +6% critical damage (when they fix the bug on it) being a rather interesting number crunching exercise.

Works fine for me in a few test situations i just done.

Why as a first timer to arah are you doing path 4 the hardest one. Do path 3, 1, 2 then 4, by the time you get to path 4 you will be awesome.

Lie to get on the group for path 3 and just keep up, dont say much, and act like an elitist

Recently i took 4 new people through path 1, took around twice the normal time, but was fun, and goes to show you just need to take your time with new people to any dungeon.

I have 6 fractal skins that i worked hard for (so many runs!). My guild mate got a precusor in one run.

I have made 0 gold, he has made 600 gold from the drop of a decent skin.

There is no reason to not have fractal skins on sale, and they would be about 50 – 100 gold i reckon.

On the auction house if you want a weapon you have two choices. Can buy the skin or the weapon. Either way doesnt really matter, unless a trans crystal is worth that much to you.

What is annoying is that the market for them won’t work properly. Since you can be undercut in two ways now.

Just thought i would mention what i saw.

Medium is ugly. Other two are decent.

This skill becomes the next skill you use.

Two heals? Two Phantasms? Two Bubbles? Two Chaos Storms (that would sort out some aoe problems)

This would be an elite that would reward skill play and correct timing. It is something from guildwars 1, and i think it will fit right into guildwars 2.

I run pistol in wvw/spvp and focus in pve/fractals/dungeons

Rune of Air. Signet of Inspiration. Reflection Heal.

Mesmer is now faster.

Since all builds and playstyles can work, people will answer with what they think is best and what best helps them. A zerker warrior is very powerful and a great asset to a party. Play how you like, but don’t expect people to answer your questions with a build that is unique to you.

Its a good thing they have been made available. Each patch Arena test different ways of getting each skin, and I reckon they monitor it very closely.

Sometimes in wvw your phantasms do stay and attack the next person that you attack or that attacks you. When i have 3 phants out as a phant build, the burst instant drops people. So for phantasms to stay as long as your in combat, there damage would be massively decreased.

Please send me 1 silver if you made this mistake. Since that would make me a millionaire by the looks of it!

No problem guys. Thanks for saying they are cheaper, guess it makes it abit better but not by much when its 3 gold for an awesome backpiece.

Awesome so it wasn’t just me and my friends. And i was expecting to get flamed to death for it.

There are 3 ways to obtain these skins:

- Finishing the race event, its a rare reward.

- Saving up tokens/or a golden token

- Buy from Trading Post

The fact is the skins are not rare since they can be easily bought from the trading post for a few gold, where as the helmets that cost the same amount of tokens/gold token are considered more rare because they are account/soul bound and not prizes.

A few guild members bought the catcher skins thinking it was the only way to get them, and are disappointed that now they realise the item is not as rare as they thought and they could of got the helm.

So this is a post of information to stop anyone else making the mistake. Unless you want the skin and have a gold ticket spare with the helm not meaning much to you.
