its going down to 2s with no other changes atm.
Going to also ask for the source. If it’s true, then it’s not so bad and pretty much expected.

Cheers, Irenio.

I really doubt we’ll see cleric on druid. I would personally like it if raids require cleric healers but I doubt Anet will go that deep into trinity.
If things stay as they were on DW3, for WvW I would go zealot.
Depends. Unless they reintroduce Zealot recipes, the limited supply of them on TP makes crafting Zealot gear quite pricey for those that have yet to unlock it.
I like the Druid and all, but I’m not going out of my way to drop about 300g on an exotic set, let alone more for the ascended versions. At the moment, Clerics is literally the second-best and less-expensive alternative unless you’re a money bag.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
No to your proposal. Moment of Clarity had a 5-second ICD on it for the longest time until the core revamp. Rangers wanted that ICD removed for QoL and now you would rather reintroduce it back with triple the amount because… Druid? Feels like Chilling Darkness because of the Reaper all over again.
Alter daze durations or increase the cooldowns of said skills. Don’t add anymore ICDs to traits, let alone increase them. There’s enough of that garbage already.

When the devs patch 3 traits that apply to the F2 commands to work in a downed stated, I’m pretty sure it’s intended.
- Go for the Eyes: Fixed an issue that prevented this trait from activating while in a downed state.
- Wilting Strike: Fixed an issue that prevented this trait from activating while in a downed state.
- Beastly Warden: Fixed an issue that prevented this trait from activating while in a downed state.

For core Ranger in Raids, Sinister is the most likely option. You could also go DPS with NM and bring Spirits group support. Either or, really.

…and 5 Revenant Energy.
Interesting.

Maybe if we prod them enough they’ll make the Lynx/Tiger F2 a bite underwater?
They did fix the marsh drake icon, so there is hope for things still here from launch
Maybe. Seeing how they are revamping shouts pre-HaO/SotP, the issue of them canceling each other out might be corrected. :o

Feel free to look at the changes and additions from the past 3 months or so since he actually became a dev for the class, let alone one that plays it. But if all you can remember is the HaO buff that got nerfed by Roy, well, can’t really blame ya for that.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
The man’s bringing some love to the class and they want to praise him as much as Necros praise Robert Gee. Let ‘em do it. Heck, he’s even buying gems in his honor. That’s a plus in Anet’s (money)book.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
No, what’s your point being? It’s on healing Druid in raids.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
And yet, title is for a Raid Druid.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
No. The bads and PUGs of Raids won’t be saved by any amount of healing. Once raid encounters are figured out and posted for everyone to see, healing Druid is going to be extremely niche. Like, almost exclusive to premade groups that like to form trinity parties with dedicated healers and a tank.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
I’d tune it a bit to THIS instead. Magi and the sigils are not going to be worth it and you might as well bring more control based on the first raid encounter (including the Pink Moa) so you contribute more to breaking bars.
Skirmishing over Beastmastery because you would be able to setup more burst heals frequently. Swap for blasting twice with double Ancestral Grace in either Sublime Conversion or Healing Spring due to Quickdraw, or even having Sublime Conversion up once every 10s so your water field uptime is 50% because dual staff (weird concept, I know).
It’s overkill. Far too much overkill on heals, but if you’re going all in for max heals, might as well be crazy at it. Boon duration stuff is a bonus and, I guess to a niche, healing Druids will be fine in your own pre-made group/running with your friends.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Oi, don’t you talk about Roy’s Tablet that way. Not his fault he choose a Ventari instead of an iPad.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Hey, don’t be greedy! Can’t have all the good stuff.

Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Yes, yes. Buff it so we get the Glint specialization traitline and Facets while Revenants get our Nature Magic and Spirits that die to wind breezes.
/signed.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
It’s true with a lot of things. If it’s a separate entity that you can’t party with, then it will apply it’s boons ‘n’ buffs to the nearest allies. Spirits, pets, banners, turrets (traited), etc.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Haha! Sure, sure. Viable. It’s a mediocre skill attached to a weapon that was more redundant because the best skill about it is on a trait. Why half fix a skill? Because it’s realistic low-hanging fruit.
Good luck though thinking it maybe easier for Anet to rework it. The best Hunter’s Call can hope for is upping the target count and maybe adding in a condition like blind.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
It is difficult to balance Hunter’s Call (or warhorn in general) when two good runesets and a trait compete with it directly.
No, it’s not. Adding 2 more targets to summon swarms is fine. If a Ranger wants to trait for it so it can cast it 5s faster, then they take NM and there’s a sacrifice due to trait choice.
If they wanna slap on the Mad King Runes and pop their elite for another swarm, there’s a price paid. It’s almost no different than casting Warhorn 4 after Quickdraw, except now you’re hitting 2 additional targets.
If anything, it’s a buff and a nerf, because group retaliation is now more effective against horn blowers. If they want, they can increase the cooldown.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
The reason is simple – they have a leap. Lynx/Tiger F2 is a leap, and ofc the canines have the KD leap as part of their autoskills.
Obviously ANet doesn’t have an aquatic leap animation rigged to canine/feline skeletons, so any such pets with a leap ability don’t get to swim.
They sure went out of their way then to have the snow leopard to work underwater. Its F2 is a leap, and underwater, it’s just a bite.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Calling it now.
“Solar Beam: Fire a concentrated beam of light, damaging the target foe and healing allies inside of the beam. Create a small nova that heals allies on the final hit.”
<|:^)
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
So, let me get this straight. You made Hunter’s Call to be applied on 3 targets like the 6th bonus of Rune of the Mad King, then nerf its radius by 100 less than the Mad King Runes, even though the Runes don’t require a target, but our Hunter’s Call does.
You could have simply stopped at, “Update Hunter’s Call like the Mad King Runes so it summons hawks on 3 targets.”
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Unbound Spirits was removed because it was impossible to balance spirits with it around.
You might need a new tinfoil hat, too.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
We were all expecting them to merge it with Hide in Plain Sight which would stealth on being CC-ed, but they just deleted that trait and I think Shared Anguish was even moved up a tier without getting any buff.
They decreased the ICD on Shared Anguish when it was moved up during the specialization patch. Before, it had a 90 second ICD. 90 seconds…
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
I don’t think Solar Beam should cause burning. I want it to grow flowers instead… for more healing. <3

I have the perfect way to fix this “bug”.
Change the trait so that it isn’t pet-based. I don’t want to screw my pet with CC anyway.
Yeah. Maybe if it was a trait that didn’t affect the pet and did something like hide the Ranger in plain sight.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Pet armors would be cool. I could see them being added as part of leather working for basic armors to be crafted and being able to sell them on Trading Post.
I could also see limited time and exclusive skins added to the Gemstore, and the really nice ones locked away in Black Lion Chests to squeeze a bit more coin out of Ranger players. Think of the possibilities…
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
It seems pretty reasonable to me. Pet is defeated, Shared Anguish affects the pet, if it’s dead, it shouldn’t activate.
Guess I’m not a true Ranger. :P
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Subtle tweaks with damage added to some skills. These I can get behind. The stuff at the bottom with modes and whatnot I don’t. Too much overload. Odd choices in radius, too…
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Post it to the Ranger Bug list in the subforum section. Irenio checks that one and it’s organized and updated by Taverius. Better there than being lost into the 2nd page here with all the threads about Druid popping up.

Nice shouts.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
funny thing is, I wont be surprised if the “reward” end result healing (with healing stats) is no different than what it is now base. So all an all it could just be a straight up nerf to healing (if it forces you to respec, loosing damage, just to get the same value, well, you know…)
This is what I fear might happen. It’s been done before, please don’t repeat this, Irenio!

You all do realize the main reason TU generates so much is because “Live Vicariously,” right? Since AF generation on heal procs with that minor, you double-dip every time you heal.
That’s why TU gives so much AF. 22½% from the heal on, another 22½% because you healed your pet, and another 22½% from Live Vicariously because it counts the heal on your pet to proc the heal on yourself.
Ever notice why dealing just damage on a single enemy 10 times barely generates enough AF to be noticeable when it should equal 2½% of the on heal proc? Or hitting 3 targets while healing 3 allies with Solar Beam nearly fills up the AF bar in nearly 2 auto attacks? Or why standing idle using Solar Beam on your pet generates a decent amount of AF?
Live Vicariously.
Staff auto on the likely scenario above (especially in raids or wvw) generates 47¼% per use (22½% from on heal to 3 allies, another 22½% from on heal because LV, and 2¼% from on damage).
Heck, even doing the other scenario (and a fair amount of us have) of solar beaming your pet to generate AF is high because LV is procing.

No. Heck, they even said they were going to save tomes for something else in the future. Guardians next elite spec: Tome Reader. Enjoy.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
ur using it to get CA anyway no? would make more sense to build up CA with dmg on non staff builds than using TU.
It would, if the AF generation was balanced so that non staff damage builds could actually generate AF at a decent rate to access CA. If it’s still left at ¼% on damage, than I see no reason TU is an issue. Heck, even if it was bolstered to 1%, it’s even less of an issue because people would be able to drop TU for another heal and those that wanted to gain access faster to CA would take TU and sacrifice their heal for it anyway.
Doubt they would boost the % on damage portion to be equal or greater than the on heal, but (hopefully) you get the point.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
I still disagree because we would have to pick between glyph reduction and heal bonus which is just bad design idea. I believe the Druid shouldn’t be built to make dps best. I want more for healing which is what i picked it up for.
The heck are you smoking? Did you see the image thing that Heim posted? Daze on weapon swap as a GM minor and the natural healing part as a part of the staff trait in the adept slot.
What is this choosing between Glyph reduction and the healing bonus when the suggestion puts them in different tiers?
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
You do realize you use 2 utilities, or just the heal to refill it for a form with 0 offensive skills, though, right? You really think that is an issue?
Edit: think not thing

I know its a water field. Even so the skill is still pretty weak.
Sublime Conversion and Ancestral Grace together is about a 3k heal.
Pretty much this. The healing from the bolts is a bonus. Ground-targeted water field to blast in and projectile denial are the main draws of this skill.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
The animations for staff are getting looked at.
YES! Thank you, Irenio! Seriously, thank you so SO much! Happy days (hopefully) of holding the staff like a caster and the auto attack looking like… well… not so goofy (except on Asura – you all chose the right animation for them).
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Swap the names on your suggestions and I might agree 100%. Natural Mender for a staff trait seems more in line than Primal Echoes. =P
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Yes, I noticed that minions didn’t take damage as well since I was a Reaper for the raids. Good stuff that they are allowing spirits and minions to be immune to all but direct damage from the boss.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Don’t blame TU for multiple double-dips. As it goes, it’s the only heal that performs well in a non-staff build. Cooldown on TU also prevents spamming CA, so think about how much the form is being “spammed” when I’m only doing it every 25/20s and I have to wait 10s for the heals to fill up the bar 75%.
If you wanted spammy CA, use staff in a group setting and fill up the AF bar in 2 auto attacks.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Pets take damage from direct hits from the bosses. So far, this is a good thing, as during the raid, there were so many seekers, blue orbs, and aoes in general everywhere that if pets took any sort of damage from them, they would have melted, resulting in more pet cemetery pve content than there already is.
I’m thankful for this and hope it’s intended.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Pets don’t seem to take damage in raids. Made it a bit too easy to self-revive – I noticed that the druids in our raid party were always the last ones to be defeated.
Noticed the same, except direct attacks from the bosses in raids seem to be the only thing that inflicts damage on the pets. This is a fine since there are AOEs everywhere.
I also noticed the druids/rangers were the last ones to be defeated, but seeing how frequent the one-shot mechanics happen, the self-revives are short-lived anyway.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Yes, yes. Make it destroy other hostile fields. Meanwhile, Roy makes all bosses in raids, dungeons, and world bosses have unblockable fields and AOEs. Great… At least it works on those centaurs in Queensdale!!
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
I’d like to add one last thing before I head off to bed.
- Could we have a graphics change on the Fire Wyvern’s F2?
After doing the Raid, the fire animation on the ground completely covers up any and all enemy and ally AOE circles. It’s immensely negative how it impacts others. I know it’s done to look cool, but it’s detrimental in a group environment. The Wyverns were already bad (performance-wise) and this makes the Fire Wyvern worse.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Elsewhere speed traits are a slotted choice… Elementalist and Chronomancers would say otherwise. They aren’t Rangers, anyway, so they shouldn’t have to choose.
Also, read up on your Elementalist. Bountiful Power minor was moved from the Water traitline to Arcane as a Grandmaster major. Lastly, please don’t say Resounding Timbre is like our Mecha Legs, they aren’t even in the same league as Engineers don’t have to slot garbage like “Guard!” or use their heal to run.
Cheers, though.
