glass cannon spec can melee balth just fine. The spinning attack has a fixed timer. Just need to watch out for the random fireballs
approaching a bank tab of useless rings, never had a zerker ring. Ever
I think the 40% came from unscathed contender (20) + fiery wrath (10) + radiant power (10).
condition builds don’t really work well in PVE because mobs and bosses have massive health pools. Support is given from traits and utility skills so they can still wear berserker gear. Unless you are talking about heal builds? Don’t bother imo, healing coefficients in this game simply isn’t worth it.
says 20% when I hover over the icon in game for me
It is a little random, some events count, others don’t.
There are still ways to skip some of the first part of dredge fractal, but it has slower than doing it properly unless there is a mesmer that is good at it or the whole group is.
there are engineers in this game?
jokes aside, I too hope there is an option of toggle off the kit graphics and show backpiece and/or stowed weapons before the game’s first birthday. There have been glove/helm skins in special events though. Just not as frequent as backpacks :P
“I can’t find it”
“It’s right there”
“No it’s not I can’t find it!!!”
so where’s guang?
nothing is easy if you run around like headless chickens
did you quote the wrong post? nothing I wrote actually disagrees with yours
Oh I read every bit of garbage you typed
lol I just found out that these weapon skins are not account bound. Lets farm the heck out of the candidate trials and flood the markets so everyone can have cheap skins
Who invited the fun police? You’re like that neighbour that calls the cops because there’s an illegally parked car on the street.
It doesn’t affect you at all as you can choose who you run with, so actively looking to see others punished for playing differently to you…. Pretty much makes you the worst kind of person. The people that park their cars illegally are far worse than the people that call them in. Jerks need to stop hogging up street space and blocking peoples’ driveways.
I remembered a friend who had someone parked in front of his driveway. The pizza guy couldn’t come in so they told him to pick up the pizza himself. He got real mad and smeared… stuff on that car’s windscreen.
the difference is casinos give you real money in return when you win, in this game even if you win you still don’t get real money. In terms of the RL monetary outcome your money goes into the toilet no matter what when you buy RNG boxes, no odds on that. It may or may not make sense but that is how it is working.
across the all servers, balth temple doesn’t get done much. The last escort event induces too much rage. Only a few guilds and people desperate for obby shards have the determination to get it done.
The only thing annoys me about the OS JP is not the jp itself or the rewards associated with it. Is the mind set of those “PVPers.” You get all these people preying on those PVEers trying to get some achievements instead doing proper sPVP or WvW. Reminds me too much of those tough guys in school that beat up mentally challenged kids.
I’m glad I don’t have gambling problems.
But that hammer skin….
JK I don’t have gambling problems
I’m really surprised RNG chests in MMOs have not been made illegal. Currently, they are just using a loophole in gambling laws. Sooner or later, this should be shut down.
I think it’s really difficult because most places gambling really only refers to money alone and since Anet/NCSoft doesn’t allow in game items to be traded back to real money (only allow the other way round, and indirectly) it is out of reach of most gambling laws.
But.. didn’t I read somewhere a few patches back that the aussies are considering putting the gambling label on GW2? I can’t find the link now :S
That’s not really true, in most establishments you buy chips and use them to gamble. You don’t think the house would actually trust the weak suckers they prey on to hand the money over after the fact do you? Pretty much exactly the same system as buying gems, makers that are equivalent to real money, you trade the markers in if you win, they keep the money if you lose.
I don’t really understand what you are saying. chips in casinos are meant to be traded back to real money whereas in this game you never get any money back anyway. You used your money to buy virtual items. What these virtual items actually do (or don’t do) in your virtual world is not really governed by any RL law.
either way I don’t support gambling
I’m glad I don’t have gambling problems.

haha that reminds me of a run back then I joined one of those exp only pugs. at lupi one of them was like “is it sad I did this so many time I can’t take this fight seriously anymore?” That guy died like 3 times in phase 2. WP rushing was still possible back then and all those experienced pros were all running back and I was solo kiting in phase 3. I managed to run out of endurance and skills on cd etc, I got downed first time in that fight that same guy asked “Is this your first time in arah?” When I had 2 pieces of arah armor showing.
That was actually one of those 2-3-2 runs when the exploit wasn’t fixed. Those pro’s all got downed countless times at the P3 final boss.
Funny how 6-7 months later the arah pug community hasn’t changed much. Back then those people would be kitten when they are not the only special snowflakes with access to arah armor. Now these armor are all over the place you’d think they should over that by now.

lol more guardian buffs. Not that I’m complaining
Glacial is tied to Corrupted on it’s main legendary Molten is tied to destroyer on it’s main legendary.
Glacial and Molten cores have similar price and quantities. Molten core’s primarily come from CoF farmers hence the crashed price this is also true for onyx (TA farmers) now why are there so many Glacial Cores?
Glacial to Molten have roughly the same demand. They are both used in 2 popular legendaries both used in a water weapon legendary. Molten core is also used in the warhorn which is one of the least popular of all.
Where do all the glacial cores come from then? Answer: players that have a far bigger impact on the economy then cof farmers ever had through non-legit methods.
(Also in the end I’m sure the exponentially biggest gold pump into the economy is just credit card gem > gold conversions.)
FoTM was solid gold when it first came out (not cof but close). It took a massive loot nerf around the same time they made agony on maw unavoidable.
I know 26+ used to rain rares and core till that patch.
We can agree or disagree why certain cores are so cheap and others cost arms and legs and tail, but the point I was making is that optimal group setups are generally just as fast as your typical exploiters (CoF P2 skip is a pretty good counter example I know), when it comes to multi path farming.
Good points. Although, you may want to change the title to “Don’t skip the risen asura thralls/destroyer crablings.” Someone might be a bookah and think you’re referring to the champion abomination/defilers, which no one (to my knowledge) ever fights.
I used to be in a casual guild, we fought it every time. We also tend to have 2 ranger in our dungeon groups so its always 25 stacks of fun.
mace/shield/staff sentinel/cleric’s guard
I heal my team I’m a paladinnnnnnn
Nah, paladins actually kill things.

As for paying, I have no problem with that sort of business but new players being forced to pay for a dungeon path is disgusting
lol
you don’t have to stand inside the blackpowder
Personally I don’t have much of a problem with weapon and armor because they can be changed anything without having to go to an npc to change them, but that is also nice.
Ages ago I invested in a full set of clerics gear with dwayna runes life sigils and what not on an ele (class with one of the best healing coefficients).
No it doesn’t work.
I bet Yakkington mini in the gemstore would sell like hot cakes
I would really like to have something like the GW1 build template where I just need to load it and everything will fall into place. GW2 slot skills can be changed on the move so these are fine but I don’t like having to go to the retraiter every time I need to change something. I have some trait set ups useful for certain dungeon, but other dungeon need a different one etc. Not to mention WvW builds are also very different.
Gold sink? I’ll happily pay like 10g for each template slot, that should replace the gold sink.
While we’re at it, I also like the weapon set options in GW1
lol those are the only thing that give me stacks cos my scumbag guildies keep killing the golems before I can get to them
We can organize a fight between all the teams
bring it on

funny, I’m hoping they delete the dredge fractal altogether.
typical “Everyone who does thing more efficient than I am must be exploiting”
That’s not what he’s saying at all. There’s plenty of loop holes in GW2 that make a lot of it’s content vastly easier: look at FoTM and the ways people used to clear it. There’s also a ton of exploits that are regularly farmed that go way beyond what is allowed. Have you ever wondered why glacial cores / lodestones are so cheap and how are they being farmed so much to keep their price that low? They are quite a bit more farmed then cof’s molten variant.
demand for glacial lodestone is pretty low. Most recipes that uses it also uses corrupted lodestone which has a much higher demand due to corrupted weapons and other recipes. Anet has tried to balance it by adding recipes needing glacial and molten lodestone but those recipes haven’t become popular enough.
Also no one who has done the maths would farm fotm in any shape or form for money, the loot is that bad.
Normally I see it pop about once every 10-15 minutes or so, sometimes more frequent. Sometimes there would be some sort of bug that prevents it from spawning for hours. It might have something to do SB chain but I’m not sure.
It is in an autumn red area north west of Phinney Waypoint.
I think the OP asked when, not where
I remembered when the karka queen thing first came out everyone was doing the pre events to spawn it for the achievements. There was one overflow with some moron who kept screaming at people not to complete the pre event so he could farm. I wish I have taken a screenshot of how much rage he put out in map chat when everyone ignored him.
I know a few people who solo P2 and in the end boss charge 2-3g per person on US server
the strategy on dulfy worked pretty well for me, I failed the first time, and took 10min second time to beat him
I am on one of the servers that farms this event (or attempts to) and in the guild that is usually responsible for starting it. I realize that for a lot of people it seems unfair that we ask them not to kill the giant, which in turn delays the opening of the Arah dungeon, but you need to take a minute to look at it from our perspective as well.
We’re a huge PvE guild that focuses on group activities. We were a large part of the other significant farm locations (Union, etc). Time and time again we’ve seen every viable farm location nerfed into the ground, leaving only CoF and CoE as steady sources of gold farming. And really, who wants to run one of those dungeons for the thousandth time?
So what do we do? We look for events such as this one that have high amounts of mobs to kill which drop good loot (bags, t6, rares, etc). When we find one we get our entire guild together, run the event through its pre-event chain, and start farming.
Unfortunately this event shows up on the gw2stuff world boss list for the High Wizard. So what happens is our guild puts a good hour into the pre events to start the farming, then as soon as it appears on the site tons of randoms show up to get their daily loot chest. They start auto attacking the giant and we kindly ask them to stop and farm with us for awhile or simply hop to another server if they’re looking to do Arah. But no, they instead tell us to kitten off and continue killing the giant.
So it goes both ways. We realize that this event more than likely isn’t meant to be farmed and that people want to complete it. But at the same time we’re the ones putting all the work into setting it up for us and others who want to farm. The giant will die in time from the NPCs attacking it, stray AOEs, and so on. Just give us our hour or two of farming before that happens
could you give me your guild roster so I can put every single one of you on my blacklist.
And lol @ comparing killing the same mobs over and over at the same spot to farming dungeons
I think obal and haviz actually get along very well and are trolling everyone else on the forums
easier to obtain for groups that know how to cheese through content by using exploits.

Time gating and DR = makes sure people who spent time in the game doesn’t go too far ahead of those who spent little time.
I don’t buy that with regards to charged quartz crystals. The gear it’s used to make is of the same tier and the stats offered give no competitive advantage over someone wearing any other exotic-tiered gear. And even if they were better than the other exotic gear (they’re not), letting players sell them on the Trading Post would have instantly leveled the playing field.
You are thinking too logically. Forget about the viability of the stats for now. Everytime something new that comes out there are a bunch of people who wants to get them. Time gating the mats means people who barely plays the game can get then at the same pace as those they consider “hardcore” players. Giving them a nice sense of accomplishment. Making them account bound also means those “hardcore” players doesn’t get more wealthy then they do.

yes? We need hard modeI always play in PuGs and I don’t find dungeons hard in the least /: if anything annoying because other people decide to do their own thing, but never hard. I agree though there needs to be a new dungeon or a hard mode system set up.
but… but…
But dungeons are hard! Stop doing CoF P1 and you will see.

If anything it makes me play less and less per day. Thank you anet for giving my life back.

In my case I don’t feel any incentive to work for these points. They literally just pile up when I’m “playing normally”. Besides, theres appear to have some sort of limit in terms of AP rewards (chests seem to stop coming after 25k-ish). A couple of more years of normal playing will max them out. Considering the work required to the chest content, I consider it as a bonus rather than a goal.
