Thats a good idea actually putting a cost on them, I would also suggest adding a cooldown period of say one week per toon or account to prevent abuse.

one other suggestion that has been made for these is to make them multi use, to justify the cost for them, would at least make them more practical in terms of cost to benefit

yea there have been quite a number of posts regarding these. The main issue is the large cost of salvaging upgrades from karma/wvw gear as it is the only way. Really hope someday they remove that restriction as I cant see the logic, personally I just want to be able to remove the upgrades, dont care about ectos or anything else. Would still need a bl kit to guarantee removal, so cant understand why they wont change it.

one thing commanders will often do is ask people in ts to post the first letter of their professions to help them get a better idea of who is running with them. For example they will ask… mesmers put an M in chat, Warriors put a W, etc etc. A type of squad command like supplyinfo but one that shows professions could be very useful.

I get this issue at random times, pretty sure its a bug when you kill everything and stand in the circle during entire cap and dont recieve event credit. However if your having this issue for that long, you might be encountering a lingering bug. You might also want to post this on the bugs forum, to see if anyone else is having this problem as recurring.

How about telling him whats good about your servers, instead of attacking someones opinions, great way to represent your servers!

I main a power necro for wvw, and dont have any problems with rangers, they are predicatable and easy to counter. Its more about knowing the class then anything else, knowing what skills to use when, when to pop DS, etc

As already stated T2/3 is a total mess right now. T2 has a lot of organized double teaming right now and basically has 4 servers competing for 3 spots. T3 is S.O.L because one of those t2 servers is going to bounce back and forth and continue wrecking t3. If you enjoy T1 action, I doubt your going to like t4/5, its not bad dont get me wrong but not on the level of t1. I would say just stick it out and try your best to deal with the queues. Get on a map early, or queue for one with the shortest line.

My server transfered from JQ to T3 and we are absolutely loving it. Do you seriously think T1 didn’t have double teams?

What is a mess about T2-T3?

How many accounts do you have? You seem to speak for 9 different servers. How much time in the past 2-3 weeks have you speant on each o the 9 servers you seem to be trying to speak for here?

Did you bother reading the OP at all? Or did you just come here to flame at people that you disagree with and dont bother giving half a second to try to understand? If you dont know whats the mess about t2/3 atm, try paying attention as many people have pointed out in different posts.

Season 2 was the probably the worst yea, at least for me, I was on SoR for all 3 seasons, and we had an exodus of many of our wvw guilds after the first one and the 2nd season started right at the worst possible time because we had no chance to stabilize and rebuild and we got thrown into silver league where we could not possibly compete with anyone there and ended up losing every week. It was just so demoralizing and heartbreaking.

might want to change your title to be more appropriate, also nobody bothers with Grit, ever, or any the other similar sand twister champ that spawns summons. It is annoying as hell and takes way to long

Tournaments/Seasons w/e they wanna call it are the worst thing to happen to wvw, every time its like playing russian roulette, and seeing which server is gonna die.

Before AP chests and EoTM gave badges of honor away like candy, players actually had to do WvW for them, to get the gift of battle, and finish the gift of mastery. So WvW mapping was never the only part of the legendary making process. Also now you have to be Rank 14 minimum to get it, so again mapping is not the only part.

out of curiousity, have you ever participated in a GvG? Or even observed one? GvGs are highly coordinated matches that require proper setup and communication. What you are proposing is completely changing an entire game mode that divides in NA, 24 servers into 8 tiers, into 3 sides. Essentially EoTM, except players get to choose a side, but not really because it autobalances with your idea. I dont understand if you feel megaserver is a mess, which Im not a fan of myself, why would you want wvw to go the same way?

alright let me get this straight, you want special treatment because you got their first and nobody else matters. GOT IT. I lol’ed hard at this one. If you need supply go to a camp, if you know theres a queue on the map your not helping anyone by hopping maps to drain supply from somewhere else. Why not also suggest that only certain players get to go in at certain times? Yikes man…

if you dont like pvdoor dont do it, stay a roamer. Sentries are not important objectives, they have some use as they provide a colored flag icon on the map. How would removing points for tower captures help small groups which pride themselves on things like capturing towers help them in any way. If you want to go to wvw to fight npcs nothing stopping you, nobody is telling you how to play lol. But why should anyones work not be rewarded in terms of helping their server for something like capturing a tower where players throw down siege and spend time taking down the gate, defending against incoming attackers, and holding the point. As opposed to taking down a single vet npc and standing in a ring for 10 seconds???

Usually the way people do it, is to wait for colors to change, its not that hard to just map it all one week, Ive mapped all wvw maps on 9 toons. Its really not that hard

-Many players have alt accounts, with low ranks, but the player has tons of exp in wvw
-Eotm is a giant karma train that awards wxp and thats how many people get wxp rank because they go there to level up
-Ranks can be bought with laurels and badges

I will add one thing fighting them with a necro, you have a teleport with ds 2, which will also protect you against the rapid fire burst, as well as a insta cast fear which will interrupt them, both can be used at 1200 range. Staff 5 is also a 1200 range fear, and necros also have a 1200 range pull.

Legendaries have ascended stats. Ascended have slighly higher stats then exotics, but the benefit is the weapon strength over the exotic version, I think its an 8% inc in weapon strength. This really only benfits power based builds, because the stat inc is tiny and unimportant, therefore if your build is condition based it doesnt benefit as much if you do not invest in power. If you have a power/crit based build like zerker you will notice more damage with ascended over exotics

Legendaries aside from the skin, allow you to change the stats at any time out of combat. And since have the same stats as ascended are slightly better then exotics.

I do agree that in zergs, its not good for support, rangers are a more offensive profession. The few group support skills you can use are difficult to use in wvw zerg fights, spirits for example will melt in less then a second, fern hound pet unless u keep it on passive to provide the f2 regen skill, set on aggressive, its melee will die quickly in a zerg fight, swap pets, cant use it for like 59 seconds or w/e. So yea its mainly offensive not in the same league as necro or ele. Its more played by people who like the profession. Not by how useful it is.

thats why you dont double team, it will always come back on you

if you need help getting aoe damage in a zerg, trait for piercing arrows, eagle eye is not that necessary, if you have 6 in the power line, I guess you can use both, but always ALWAYS have piercing arrows for wvw, plus you have traps, muddy terrain, barrage, nice for aoe damage/effects, fields etc

I get this big all the time.

What’s worse is 10-15 mins later the whisper dialog pops up and then you can send a message. The problem is it takes your focus away from whatever you were doing – and 12asdwd appears in the whisper chat. Instead of moving my character I am now splat dead !

that is a loooooong standing bug, it really is annoying as hell

rapid fire is a channeling skill so it will continue firing if activated before you stealth, as will any channeling skill.

I have fun with my ranger in wvw, the damage buffs are really nice, its not hard to counter rangers rapid fire, blocks, blinds, terrain obstructions, reflects, gap closers, retaliaton, cc’s, etc etc. Dropped a zerker ranger with my necro last night in 5seconds. They are predicatable, so it makes it easier to counter. Pets could def use an overhaul, pretty much useless in zergs, I use ranged pets particularily spiders for zerging, mainly for the poison fields. Pets are essentially useless outside small team/solo stuff.

watching 2 enemy zergs pass by each other and not attacking, know how many times we saw that for a year lol. Hearing about them brag about it, it sucks it really does, not just when it happens to you, but when anyone engages in it. Really kills the competitive nature of wvw. Ive fought you guys, I know what you guys are capable of so just hang in there.

You can get them faster over time by logging in (and choosing laurels as your final item just a few times every “month”). They are pretty heavily backloaded though. Laurels are also available every day from the Wintersday daily.

happens every tier, all the time, its nothing new. Back in the old t1 days, in SoR we were double teamed constantly by bg and jq for the beter part of a year. It sucks yea. And please dont act all innocent, YB turned back around and double teamed SoS with FA. Dont complain when it happens to you and stay silent when your doing it to someone else.

they are split up into several daily login rewards, each chest that rewards it gives an increasing amount of laurels, so the first will give 1, and other will give 10. I believe there is a total of 35 laurels in the 28 day cycle with a choice of more in one of the chests. When you recieve the login reward you can browse all the rewards in that panel that pops up. Have fun.

To further protect yourself, always make sure your computer has the most up to date and comprehensive protections. Anti malware/spyware/virus/phising protections. Firewall.
