what exactly do you think can be accomplished by wasting developer time implementing mounts? what possible good would it do in this game? Please explain this to me. What is there to gain by adding mounts???

The same thing accomplished as making living story, aka nothing.

Don’t get me wrong, i don’t like mounts all that much especially since i like to look at my character and not have the mount constantly be in the way. But if i were to pick something that i can customize and progress my character horizontally vses a living story that can be finished in 10 minutes and forgotten after, i prefer the former.

Living story, like it or not adds content, maps, skins, advances lore and storyline, how do you compare that to something that would be so completely out of place in gw2 like mounts

Since your looking for a guild that does some wvw, you might also want to state what server your on, so you might not even have to transfer, you could find one right on the server your on

thats true but from what I read I think he just wants solo roaming and 1v1’s , the good thing about t1 is its active all day even SEA time where there are quite a lot of people. If that suits you I do recommend BG then, its pretty dominant during OCX and SEA and has some great wvw guilds

I dont suggest T1 for you, there is always something for roamers to take, but SEA time still has a good amount of people so more often that not you will find youself getting flattened by zergs. I would probably try lower tiers, that have less population which means more roamers/small groups, which will mean more likely to find small fights or 1v1’s. The problem is people who go to wvw solely setup for 1v1’s and such dont help their server all that much so people generally have started going away from that playstyle, and since many people see no reason in looking for fights when just trying to cap camps its less likely you will find fights. What roamers do can be easily accomplished by players like me who multitask, maphopping, going from a zerg to quick camp captures, or tower caps etc etc. And we dont setup for 1v1’s so its pointless for us to fight those that do.

wow how sexist :o lol, but yea I do think some of the female skins are beyond ridiculous in terms of skimpy design. The reason is obvious mmo’s for most of the genres history have been aimed at male gamers, and as such much of the skins are targeted towards a male audience, its really only with the introduction of WoW and GW that more and more female gamers have started getting into it

the stuff on youtube is cherrypicked pieces people use to display a build or “skills” etc, for every quick kill that person posts you dont see the 10times they get wrecked in a fight. So dont let that fool you. WvW is a learning process, the best way to get into it is to join a group and follow a commander, also voice comms, mainly ts3 is very important. It will help you understand what is going on and help you not get lost. Ive helped a lot of ppl in your shoes who were afraid of wvw for various reasons, and some who were just pve purists, now all they do is wvw. So dont be afraid to just get out there and go step by step, your gonna die sometimes, your gonna get steamrolled by zergs, BUT you get to do it to

One other thing I would suggest is being offline when going into a map, since this is public knowledge now, a player can simply add you to their friends list and track what map you are on. So being offline and going w/o the anet tag I think would make it easier for you to find offenders. Unless your just there to prevent it, as people will obviously be less likely to do anything if they know your there. Then its almost a wasted effort because we want these offenders caught and punished, and not simply be able to avoid detection.

they have good communities from what I hear, consider t3 servers as well they offer some good fights and have recently gotten an influx of guilds from lower tiers. Either ways good luck

your probably looking at t2/3, although t2 is kinda messy right now, so idk what server to recommend there, yb and fa are good choices. SG recently moved to YB from JQ, and FA recently got a bunch of guilds from CD. Although t2 is really blobby as well.

probably cause it has the most people, personally I prefer the 20-30 and hate blobbing, but it is what it is

I’m back on T1 I can tell you on BG that DN & OnS can field those numbers, but there is a lot of Militia here and quite a few great guilds like JINX and GoF to name a few. TC has SE & CERN. Well that sounds more like creating a raid instance, in which case I do believe they recently finished a CDI, so who knows we might see something like it someday

also you have to understand each season is structured differently in season one each episode was essentially its own and seperated from the others so it could each have unique items tied to it. Season 2 is more drawn out on one area, then moved onto the next.

It is unlikely, I suggest again just trying to find a quiet place to setup duels, GvG’s used to be held at the south camp on a bl, and there are plenty of places for 2 people to fight w/o interferance

A Free-For-All arena holds no place in WvW, as far as I’m concerned.. It’s WORLD versus WORLD, not FFA.. :p

Theres nothing stopping people from doing that now, simply using an alt account or a friend to trade with. And if I understand him correctly I dont think hes asking for a seperate arena, just an area inside OS that people use for duels, like people use for GvG’s

yea I can understand that, its not a bad idea, I would just suggest trying to find a quiet area and inviting friends to duel somewhere in OS or a bl, I see it all the time. I passby see an ally fighting, rush over to help and they say “dont interfere we are dueling” so its not like it doesnt happen. There are plenty of quiet spots for dueling.

If I understand you correctly you want an area inside obsidian sanctum set aside for dueling? You can really do that in a lot of places in there, also pvp arenas can always find an empty one and duel in there. But yea its not an unreasonable request

Im glad you guys are being more proactive about trying to catch this stupid crap in action, although its obviously less likely to happen if people see a anet tag. So I would suggest being able to go invisible or going without the anet tag. The most common complaints regarding hacks/exploits concern flying/climbing hacks, where you can see someone literally jump up a wall.

toon slot always nice, if your patient wait till its on sale, one thing you can do is create a personal guild and build a guild bank to store non account bound items. Its common for many players, some even use multiple guilds

I can see the obvious benefit of no white swords helping small groups but in all honesty promoting gameplay that favors the minority over the majority is just impractical. What incentive would I have to put in gold, and time to upgrade anything if it can be taken by 2 people? It is exactly as Mishi states a double edged sword. And again the server with the most will have the advantage as it can afford to have more scouts and havok teams so it does nothing to hurt larger servers, it does have some benefit sure for smaller servers, but not enough to really justify it being implemented.
