, I mean just look how bad they want you. MEAN was fun to fight, very agressive even with smaller numbers. Only guild I remember from GoM was ASH, but was NA time and they probably fielded the most people Ive ever seen from one guild. GoM itself is consistently blobby.

Yea as mentioned the time differences would be a problem, but going by the EU guilds that I have fought against/alongside that transfered to NA, they are very good and if this was ever techically possible would make for great fights thats for sure. Heck remember what happened when IRON transfered to SoR lol, good times while it lasted.

How is it a scam?
- Selling something you don’t own is fraud. How did these sellers get into the position where they are selling the path anyway? Did the seller secure their position by being the instance owner, almost complete the instance with the help of party and then kick them out?

a lot of times its near impossible to catch people, as they are in large groups and you have no idea who is exploiting. If im high up on a cliff firing an ac on a zerg down below where they are out of range. But yet their aoe attacks from their eles can hit me? If Im standing way back obstructed by terrain but yet again their aoe can still reach that far back, yea I call BS. But how in the heck do I know which one is using that view hack, it annoys me to no end and I wish more would be done, but honestly I dont know what can be done in these situations, I see it everyday.
I agree 100%, it would really get rid of the constant friction between wvw players and people who go to a bl to craft and add to a queue when your server needs ppl the most.
Heres my idea, remove crafting and other relevant npcs and move them to OS, but add a banker/guild banker npc to citadel. Here’s why, if there is no upgraded keep, crafting tables offer an easy way to access bank for siege, boosters, etc so adding these 2 npc’s would make it easier.
OS should be split into 2 areas. One with the new crafting stations and other vendor services already at citadel, and then a quick portal (noloadscreen) into the OS JP.
Doing this would also help people get around queues as they will not add, or not have to wait in them when they just need to use vendors/craft.
the point is, speed is key, thats why white swords are important for responding, trying to determine where a signal fire is coming from doesnt increase response time
if your at north camp, your gonna know bay is being attacked?
one of the benefits of white swords is that it shows you immediately where something is being attacked so you can respond quickly before a enemy zerg melts through the gate. It gives you a chance to go and and save it. And its directly on the map, anytime it pops up right on the objective, so no need to look around for where the fighting might be, with beacon fires there might be confusion considering terrain and distance.

can see a problem for roaming/havok groups as longer capping times will make it easier for larger groups to respond and steamroll them. Faster yaks, more supply, faster upgrades might mean more bunkering up in keeps/towers and more siege which will hurt ppt and reduce fights. Nothing worse then trying to attack a t3 keep with 7 ac’s, cannons, mortars, trebs, catas, ballistas firing at you.
ac’s should have been nerfed a long time ago, when I see open field siege, I die a little inside

Curious how things stand in T1 NA right now…
Can someone detail the guilds in T1 (for each server) during NA and the numbers they run? Are fights blob vs blob or are guilds smart enough to run by themselves and not kitten jam every fight? Which server has the least number of NA and least amount of queues on reset?
Heres how it basically works, its more or less even numbered during NA. But it hardly ever feels that way, blobbing is common, but thats really on most servers. Blobbing is generally what you encounter from bounce/map hopping groups, or groups in EB. TC has a couple of guilds that run large numbers SE, CERN and some others that run good numbers, TIE, Vx, among others. BG has many guild groups but dont put up blob size alone, so BG relies a lot on militia and mixing of guild groups to put up the numbers to counter JQ/TC groups. JQ NA is similar to BG’s in terms of numbers some common guilds encountered are KA, SF, TWL, and they are very oppurtunistic in how they run.
BG has a lot of wvw guilds but the largest they will field generally is around 15-25 usually, like I said its usually mixed with other guilds and militia. Guilds generally dont run tagless here. They are very skilled, and have excellent commanders, and if they had the numbers it would be easy enough to run alone. Success is tied to proper setup, coordination and communication, and not sheer numbers.
In terms of queues, BG during reset will usually have queues on each map for at least a couple hours, not always long for tc/jq bl’s. EB is almost always queued, dont ask me why, but w/e. I cant comment on JQ, can ask my friend in TWL, but he hasnt been on in a few days. And going by what Ive read on here, and from friends on TC, the queues there seem to be very heavy.

Would monthly even make sense with the new daily system, considering 3 daily achieves gives 10ap each day, and login rewards give the luck, laurels, coins that monthly rewarded. Although its definately understandable people are upset over losing something to work on every month, maybe it could have been tweaked.

the melee part yea is definately annoying, camera zoom is not enough to see well enough to deal with the 360 view and particle effects. Really what Id like more is to explore underwater areas, less for combat/events and more for lore
Yeah but you’ll get the players who will complain and will say stuff like “Why did you make these new UW areas with really nothing in them when you could have spend that time making an expansion, capes, housing/guild halls and mounts!” It’s a lose lose deal for Anet.
Honestly I only have 1 UW area that is my favorite and that is Old Lion’s Arch. I found it fun to swim down there and try and match up the areas from GW1.
Lore Based scavenger Hunt?
If CoSA, is still on SF, or one of them, consider them as well. They are big guilds and brought large numbers to wvw

Each borderland used to have a huge lake in the center where the ruins are now with an island where quaggans and krait fought each other, capping the shrine there gave you quaggan npc allies. Unfortunately if your enemy had it…you had to kill quaggans
. Although there was a funny thing, every once in a awhile, golem bankers or other npcs in a keep would suddenly drop dead from a lightning strike from a quaggan outside, it was hilarious.
maybe it was 2 weeks I cant even remember at this point, yea either way it was way to long and matches got very stale.

well considering guardians ranged options, scepter is not ideal for zerging, staff is optimal for support and even group damage, hitting 5 targets helps spread burning, and any traits related to inflicting burning, proc boons and enabling traits relating to them such as altruistic heal. Also Staff 5 is a great way to block a groups escape/charge. Empower is just so good traited with altruistic healing. Its probably at 5 targets because of its limited range for a ranged weapon, kind of a balance to it I guess. Group retal is a type of strategy man deal with it, find a strategy around it.
Unless I am mistaken, it wasn’t always a weekly reset was it, wasnt the matchup for a month, man so long ago it seems.
I think he meant it as seperate issues, guard staff 1 is to easy to tag 5 players, and aoe group retal can be kept up permantely, seems to be his complaints.
retaliation does -50% dmg in wvw, wave of wrath has only 600 range, just saying

T4/5 is always a nice place for a fresh start, consider Darkhaven they have some great agressive guilds, and were a blast to fight. And they have been fighting their way up through the tiers so they are an up and coming server. Also SBI has been pretty stable in their standings and have a good size militia. And yea T3 is really unbalanced atm because there are 4 servers competing for t2’s 3 spots, so one of them will continue bouncing back and forth, until one of them just collapses. Or IOJ and NSP, both good servers as well, get some new blood to balance out the match.

I wouldnt mind more underwater stuff, just not as a major thing, some bonus side stuff, like maybe a world boss or something. If we ever get to DSD, oh that uw combat might get really ugly and irritate tons of people

Hey good luck to you guys on a new server, whereever you end up, arent you on JQ? You might want to add a reason or two why you guys wanna leave, to avoid finding the same issues on another server.
real life stuff, sometimes I get headaches and just cant use a headset or be on ts. People with small kids, or sleeping spouses etc.
anything regarding points will indoubtedly affect server ranking and strategy. Remember reset nights and weekends are the busiest times, so extending the week beyond that to 10 days would have a drastic effect on scores
a lot of commanders dont want ppl not in ts following them, its like some guilds prefer to run tagless to get less pugs following, which means less rallybots. Limiting the number of tags seems a bit much, and would never happen, I mean look at pve :/. There is also a way to see only one tag, simply join that commanders squad, and all the other tags will disappear from view
yea it seems in this case it was just bad strategy and ego driven commanders, this sometimes happens. Theres really little that can be done about it, as nobody can be forced to follow anyone or do this or that. One strategy that helps is to ask a guild group or well known commander that has a group from another map, a bounce/map hopping group to come in and help the bl out. When it does just get frustrating, I recommend moving to a different map to see if there are other groups you can join with
Would be cool, if there was a practical way of implementing it, not a fan of all the pink weapons myself, but the effects are nice.
the npc vendors will eventually go away, so I would definately use them before the event ends.

You forget expansions in cantha and elona where people are doing raids on mounts while their capes flutter in the wind while wielding craftable precursors, and duel each other for the honor of Best Moa Mount in Show.

I would guess Survival of the Fittest + Empathetic bond. You’d lose 3 condis every 10 seconds, and each survival skill would remove 2 condis.
Dont forget Healing spring which can remove conditions as well as signet of renewal which can be activated to transfer all conditions to a pet
Proper communication is always key, having people in ts, and saying in map/team chat what commander is doing what. I will often repeat in team chat what commanders in ts are saying because I know there are some not in ts with us, to help people out.
