the nerfs i know of is the limiting on the number of portal uses.

Shattered Strength was also nerfed. There weren’t really any buffs except the an additional 2 sec added to Temporal Curtain’s swiftness duration. It is still one of the worst forms of Swiftness in the game.

Mesmer’s mainly got nerfed, with some additional new bugs thrown in there for good measure.

Talking about how focus does not allow other swiftness to be overwritten, so if you had swift from focus and someone else casts an aoe swiftness it will not overwrite the swift from focus and then two seconds later your swift runs out and you’re out of luck because everyone else got the other person’s swift and you get left behind.

Condition damage is halved for sPvP when compared to PvE or WvW. On eof the big reasons why it isn’t popular there.

The swiftness from Focus is not even good as it doesn’t stack/get overwritten by other AOE forms of Swiftness. This has been the case since they nerfed it.

Try running through Temporal Curtain to get the swiftness buff then before it expires have another class use their AOE swiftness. You won’t get yours refreshed so when Focus’ swiftness expires, you will fall to the back of the pack.

Mesmer is my main. The class is fine. If you want to give yourself 100% permaswiftness you can. I do it. All classes can’t have everything. Mesmers have a lot of other great abilities.

Xavi, you do not have a 5 sec gap for swiftness with Runes of Centaur. The swiftness is permanent. Cast focus 4 first and then layer your healing-based swiftness on top. If you heal immediately after focus 4, you get around 25 seconds of switftness so you can actually pop you’re healing-based one a second time before focus 4’ing again.

- Pouring one out for class diversity.

Except I don’t like using a Focus anymore unless I am pulling people from walls. And even worse, I am stuck with having to use Runes of the Centaur which are terrible.

So don’t say ‘the class if fine’ when we are pigeon-holed into using both inferior runes and having to use a focus weapon to get 100% up-time on swiftness.

Magic Find gear is always a trade-off of reducing other stats for MF stats. This has always been the way on all MMO type games.

Diablo 3 recently did it right by having the players MF contribute to the overall group’s MF so everyone shared the same MF chance.

This is really how it should be done.

One advantage of being able to rep multiple guilds helps in WvW. The main guild I am in is PvP orientated but we created a second guild for PvE so when you decide to PvE, you rep that guild.

In WvW, a guild can only claim one place (castle, keep, tower or camp) on a map. The benefit for WvW is that when you claim a castle, keep or tower, you can use your PvP guild and place full buffs on it. At the same time, you can use the PvE guild to claim something smaller like a supply camp and put +15 Supply buff on it.

Now you have two places claimed on a single map.

Exotic Khilbron’s is the equivalent to Rabid and can be bought on the TP for an arm and three legs.

What are you trying to do?

I noticed that it looks like you have 25 stacks of Precision so I am assuming you equip a weapon (or multiple weapons) with Sigil of Precision prior?

I agree with the above. Of course the best course of action might be for you to get your own Commander tag.

The elite skill Mass Invis is max 5 players on a long cool down.

WvW is meant to be played in groups. Being successful at soloing in WvW is rare.

That said, play WvW for a month then come back and comment. I bet you will have changed your opinion on some (but not all) of your comments.

Also, have the fun is playing with others so get into a WvW orientated guild. This really helps when there are 10-20+ of you having similar objectives.

Come back in a month and let’s see what you think. WvW isn’t perfect by any means but there are changes coming soon that will hopefully add some more depth to WvW.

Where is this ‘tons of money’ you speak of?

Mesmers are arguably the slowest class out of combat.

Even Signet of Inspiration, it is only like 12.5% chance to proc swiftness. The class is stuck with using a Focus which while buffed slightly (+2 sec), leaves the class extremely slow once the buff runs out. On top of that, swiftness from Focus (Temporal Curtain) does not stack with other forms of swiftness so you often get left behind then you have the swiftness from Focus while others get their group swiftness from another source. The Focus weapon itself is also not a preferred weapon by most so the annoying task of weapon swapping is often done before entering combat.

Mesmer’s are stuck with Rune of Air (5 sec) and Rune of Centaur (10 sec). Even with Runes of Centaur, you still have a lack of speed for 5 sec.

It adds an unexpected element to the downed state. For example when that thief is stomping you while invisible, this gives you that .00001 chance that you might be able to get up. Might.

I have a question. If I guest on another server does that mean that for the next 24 hours, I can no longer interact with people on my home server? Am I now stuck on the guested server for 24 hours?

Disagree. Me rallying from a player who kills an NPC who I also tagged is great.

The outmanned buff should be invisible to other servers.

I don’t think HP of illusions is needed but if the little circles were a different colour for clones and another colour for phantasms then that would be an improvement.

Yeah we figured this was happening a while back when Ebay wasn’t pushing DBBL at all meanwhile Ebay’s own BL was getting wiped. Also on DBBL, Ebay would head across the map to hit YB when Ebay hadn’t flipped a single thing on their side of DBBL.

What your facing at 12AM-4/5 AM Eastern are those that haven’t gone to sleep yet from the NA time zone. Same as you guys.

Is NNK NA? Looks like different names than we see in primetime. So doesn’t seem like NA, unless your NA team doesn’t start playing the game in earnest till like 11 PM NA. We rarely get pushed by DB prior to that.

But seems like a lot of these groups are not used to being hit back at all, other than maybe by a token force that its easy for them to overwhelm. Having 50 man groups routed by maybe half of that when they do actually meet organized resistance.

Shouldn’t be surprising really if that is all one is used to facing. It takes consistent competition to force you to improve tactically. But its definitely up there beyond this tier. We have played IoJ, CD, TC, these teams that are used to having to battle intensely off peak, and they are very good at it.

Nah, NNK are some of our Asians.
But I tend to see a few NNK during NA daytime/afternoon still, and a steadily increasing number of them until their primetime.
You’re probably seeing groups of them come online before the fullest of our Asian force gets home from work/school/whatevertheydoduringtheday

ADDED: I really hope by now though, at least since this is the second week of this matchup, that we’ve proven that our NA crew belongs in tier 4. I think we’re past the days where we should be getting ragged on as being carried by our Asian crew. They certainly make a difference and they are also definitely the reason that we /win/ so solidly, be if they all left right now we would still be competitive where we are.

Absolutely. What YB has noticed is DB’s NA crew is much different than what it was weeks (month?) ago. Were see more resistance now during YB’s prime time from DB and this is evident with the point ticks between DB and YB being closer together.

Deceptive Evasion > Illusionary Persona in my opinion. I take both but if you really want 30 points in Chaos, then dropping IP would be my first choice.
