GS will definitely be more DPS than a staff however you lose a lot of defensive capabilities with a Greatsword.

I am kind of wondering if Sigil of Accuracy is better than Sigil of Force.

Yeah power/precision/toughness for phantasms would be best stats for this type of build. Phantasms don’t gain anything from your vitality.

Shatter 10/30/0/0/30 staff+sword/pistol is his main build and mainly what this thread is about.

Hybrid 20/20/0/0/30 staff+sword/sword is his hybrid build that he has recently played with with good results as well.

Clones don’t do much if any damage really (unless you take 20 points in dueling then staff clones give bleeds). Clones are meant for shattering which does do damage.

The Scepter clones are the worst clones that Mesmer’s have. Scepter is also not a very good weapon to use while leveling and is really only viable (barely) at level 80 when using a condition build.

For leveling, use Greatsword + Staff until level 40+. Make sure to trait at least 5 points in Illusions for Illusionary Celerity. Putting 20 points into dueling for Deceptive Evasion after that is great as well as clones will cause bleeds when they crit (but not scepter clones which suck).

When you get to lvl 45+ you can try sword+pistol or sword+focus as well.

I don’t like phantasm builds because,

1. It takes forever to get 3 phantasms up
2. They can die to AoE and other aggro
3. Only really viable on longer boss fights where the phantasms don’t die quickly

I saw the breakout even ready to happen in EB last night however I was confused as we had 1/3rd of the EB map (plus SM). If we already own our two keeps then what does the breakout event do when you start it?

Usually you can blink to destinations that you could run to within 10 sec.

There are certain spots that you can blink up though like above the arch on the stairs on vista island in any of the borderlands.

I don’t think he uses duelist IX as he doesn’t equip a pistol though X is more likely as he spawns clones on dodge. For illusions, I think he has VI instead of IV as I saw the shatter cd refresh when he got to 50% health. ^^

Our guild was so impressed with YB, that when we were forced to migrate servers from TC due to an influx of friends and family getting the game over the holidays (and TC is full), we chose YB as our new home. There is no reason for that either. As a matter of fact, if it needed line of sight it would be pretty much useless like Berserker is now on opponents on walls that are LoS.

Did you get pulled off Mendon’s bridge by chance?

You didn’t compare it to 20/20/0/0/30 with GS which is arguably the highest Shatter DPS build.

It’s fine as it is. Hell, it’s hard enough to get enough PVE’ers in WvW these days so that you are not outnumbered. Don’t make WvW any harder population wise.

I still see the star on Mesmers on my own server in WvW but haven’t noticed it yet on Mesmers on competing servers.

Breakout events are fine.

I was 3-shot by a thief last night. My ranger friend gets 1-2 shot by thieves on a constant basis. Also, warrior 15K kill shot on 9 sec cd is outrageous.

It’s not an exploit. It is not ‘abuse’. I doubt a single person has been banned.

If you weren’t able to drop them on the ground, then why did they not only make the ability to do so, but why did they give them a crate graphic?

Any why are people crying about this anyways? How is it unfair to anyone?

Let me get this straight. You have no problem 1v1 with a Mesmer with over 50% success rate but 1v2 is OP?

I had that happen to me too but only after I changed the size of my UI in Options. Go back in there and change it back (I think ‘normal’) and see if that fixes the TP font.

Definitely a bug, but it is related to the UI size setting.

What is the big issue? It allows you to manage siege much easier. How would anyone even see this as an exploit never mind complaining about it. Unreal.

It seems that Duelist’s Discipline (Dueling trait IX: 30 points) is bugged and = less damage.

If you select this trait, the damage that your iduelist phantom does is less damage than not taking this trait at all. I can only assume that with the buff/fix to iduelist last patch that the IX Trait : Duelist’s Discipline is still somehow linked to the old damage of the iduelist phantom and not to the new fixed version.

Making gold in WvW is usually a slow process. You do need to run some dungeons to make gold. Most people run AC explorable and all 3 paths can be run in less than an hour. With Omnomberry bars, you can get 2+ gold in 1 hour’s work.

Give points/karma/gold for walking Yaks
Give points/karma/gold for smaller objectives
Give points/karma/gold for placing/protecting siege

We need smaller objectives that do not require zergs but whose point values and personal rewards are both significant to make a difference.

Well it’s the price to pay to make sure that the ALT-F4’ers can prevent their stupid useless honor badges or their WvW death count or armour repairs …

Shatter builds are just that much more powerful at the moment, especially with the last patch.

I get that sometimes with Chaos Storm. I thought it was more a bug with my mouse driver and the mouse cursor getting stuck and then a delay in trying to re-position it.

Can anyone confirm that it is now fixed? What about out-manned buff?
