I wouldn’t say a class change, that might be a bit much to implement. But unlocking your elite specialization would have been interesting as a quest series with some kind of story behind it.

So much this. I have tried so many times to find threads about something only to meet the “no match found”. What is it even there for if you can’t search anything but what you already know the title of?

I am always amazed about people who say that they couldn’t play Halloween b/c of HoT. You chose to not do Halloween, despite knowing it’s temporary while HoT is not. And now if Halloween is extended you suddenly don’t play HoT anymore and have time for the festival? What prevented you from doing that in the first place?

For me it’s an on/off thing with others rezzing. Most of the time when I go down, someone will come and help. Other times I’m downed and someone literally stands on top of me and doesn’t lift a finger, even though it wouldn’t be dangerous to do. Now I know that at times due to lag or something, people appear to be down at a different place than they actually are which doesn’t allow others to revive, and I’m a laid-back person by nature so I don’t usually get upset too much. But sometimes in those cases I internally go “Really?!?”, especially when I then die and have to be fully rezzed after.

But yeah, most of the time, people are being good sports.

Sorry that this sounds mean, but it’s your own fault? We know Halloween is temporary and HoT is here to stay, so if you prioritize the jungle, you’re out of luck.

The last map completion I did, I got 4 or 5 keys if I remember correctly. But that was a bit before key farm nerf and HoT

People have sunk thousands of gold into the mystic forge, but that’s apparently ok with you. If you’re so much for parental control and worrying about gambling habits, why are you not concerned about people throwing away their fortune at Zommorros?

Somehow it seems really inconsistent though. I went to Sparkfly for a Teq run only and along with 3 out of the 4 dragon chests I got some map reward. My friend went to Jormag and completed some of the crystal pres as well and got nothing.

I finally have it and now I’m sitting on it and feel like I shouldn’t spend it… I’m that horder type, that can never get oneself to actually spend stuff…

Yeah, somehow it’s really random. It happens most often with Shadow Behe for me, Teq was fine. And when I was at Maw, it didn’t show either, but when I moved it appeared for a sec, then disappeared again.

I don’t even care if it’s color or rotating or whatnot, but at least something to discern them better is needed imho. I can never really tell if I have completed a challenge or not.

I did the last 2 episodes of LW2 post HoT release and pre “Torn From The Sky”. I earned 2 mastery points doing it.

You got the mastery points, but most likely no experience for the mastery. You can get the points before, but to spend them you need to have completed the beginning of HoT so you can actually level the masteries.

On another note, OP, you knew it would spoil and you did it anyway? What’s there to be horrified about then? There was plenty of time to catch up on LS2 until HoT, unless you started GW2 with HoT prepurchase (and even then it would have been possible).

I think it was said somewhere that they wanted to make leather more valuable again.

They’re for the new scribe profession to make pen & paper with, which then will be used for guild hall decorations and other scribe stuff.

You need to fill up the relevant xp bar, then you can go into the hero panel under masteries. At the end of the xp bar in there is a button to master the current mastery.

Would be a nice idea. Or maybe something like a bulletin board, which could be put into the guild hall?

On another note, does anybody know how to delete the guild message completely? I can’t get rid of it, when I edit and delete the text, so that there’s nothing in there it won’t let me save.

This is actually a great time to go for bags. Farm youself a lot of candycorn, 3000 to be exact. You can exchange those for 3 candy corn cobs and those again for a halloween pail with 20 slots.

Otherwise, yes you can craft with those three professions, but they will still be quite expensive as you need a rune that costs 10G.

Someone on Reddit said that it was every two hours on the hour. Odd hours for UK time, even hours for CEST.

You can only get three key fragments (for one key) a day from The Mad King Says. Also the Glorious Chest in the Labyrinth from Skeleton Lich and Candycorn Viscount appear to be daily. You can still do those events over and over, just won’t get anymore from it

Oops, sorry, I went back and checked. It works in WvW. What I had in mind was the exeption about looting when you die/waypoint.

“If you waypoint away before something dies and it dropped loot, you won’t immediately get it. If you return to the area, you will get the loot as soon as you can see it. It will basically pick up all loot you can see.

The exception is WvW, since loot bags always spawns at your feet. If you waypoint, the loot will spawn at your location and should get immediately picked up."

There is already a “autoloot” system and you can find it under options here in-game.

Though it is called autoloot, it’s not exactly that. It just puts the items immediately into the inventory when you press ‘f’ (or whatever your loot button is). The new upcoming autoloot does that automatically, without you pressing any button.

I think I heard/read somewhere that autoloot won’t work in WvW, but I’m not 100% sure. Anybody else know about that?

I liked them all, but have to say that my favorite is Sea of Sorrows. I just had too much fun with all the snarky characters in there and the story’s pretty good too.
Edge of Destiny is my least favorite, but that’s mainly due to facepalming at Logan’s actions and asking “Why??”.

I just wish you could dye them. They are pretty, but the purple unfortunately does not fit my color scheme (and my taste)

I somehow doubt it. Also what unforeseen reasons are there that you can’t play on your main? Except somehow getting your account banned, I can’t think of any.
Also wouldn’t it defeat the purpose of starting anew if you keep your old stuff? In that case deleting your characters and making new ones should do the trick.

I agree that it’s sometimes a tad chaotic and disorganized, but I kinda like that. If it sounds too much like a perfectly recited presentation, it’s too “business-like” and not really appealing to me.
And I think that it’s awesome to give the people some spotlight who usually work behind the scenes to develop all that stuff. Seeing them so enthusiastic about stuff they created makes it so much more lively.

I’m not sure that would solve anything. Remove gold and something else will take its place as a currency. There’ll always be something people use to trade, whether that be gold or ectos or potatoes.

Let’s take an average CoE run. Everyone in the party gets 3g for the 3 paths, plus a few champ bags that generate amounts of coin similar to the chestfarm bags. The CoE run could take an hour, accounting for different party compositions, different levels of play. The dungeon being closed after a path and so on. Let’s say they may generate a similar 5g 46s per person per hour. In this case you have to have 8 full parties running CoE to generate the same amount of gold. But unlike chestfarming, after their run they are done with CoE for the day. Chestfarmers can dig endlessly.

Now tell me, how do you not get a lot of direct gold in SW as compared to the dungeons?

I’m not that versed in economics to really argue about money generated and whatnot, but this comparison strikes me as a bit odd.
You say the dungeoneers are done after CoF. But they could very well move on to other dungeons, and keep generating gold there. Also when they leave CoF, there will probably be new people coming for a run, so there will be pretty much always people running CoF. It’s not like it just stops after those 8 parties.
Granted, CF keeps running during this time as well, but it’s not always the same people. There’s constant dropping in and out of the zerg. Not everyone runs the farm for the whole day.

In a way I do too since PvP is not that scary of a monster people think it to be.. well, it might be if you head into actual PvP rooms but there are daily rooms where you can progress your reward track by 25% per day, so you could get those 2 shards of glory in 4 days… or 3, depending where on the track are the shards located.

I admit I am one of those who think PvP is scary, and the horror stories of getting bashed to all hell b/c you don’t exactly know what you’re doing aren’t helping. If one of the new legs is feasible for me to get, I might go visit though and hope I get someone newb-friendly to explain. Unless I chicken out and go buy that stuff

A bit confused about the text though, did I understand correctly that the gift of the mists is made out of the components gift of battle & glory & war for each legendary? Or is it made out of either?

Map completion isn’t too bad for me. Sure, I’ll probably get mad inbetween at some harder vistas to jump to or hearts where only 2 mobs are available for the task, but overall I don’t mind it.
Now if only I’d get a precursor….

If we could do that, maybe we could become RNGesus and give ourselves some precursors, too

Back to topic, I don’t exactly like underwater either, but walking across it makes no sense gamewise or lorewise. You can already cross it mostly unhindered and why would you want to fight on it? If it’s land creatures you fight on land and if it’s water creatures, well they fight underwater so it makes sense that you are there too.

“Simply create a new account” is not necessarily as simple as you think it to be. You’d have to shell out money for the new one, unless you take a seriously restricted f2p one. All your achievements, money, items and progress is lost. Unless you’re a totally new player, that stings.

And from your stance, we should throw all possible innocent people who get now harassed by fake naming and shaming on the forums under the bus, just so we can look at some real perpetrators with contempt, which they probably don’t give a (little kitty) about?
As much as I’d like to call out people who can’t behave, the rule is not about protecting them. It’s about protecting others from the misuse of it. The real perpetrators will have to deal with consequences of reports.
