I for one am probably gonna hop into the expansion quickly to unlock masteries and then go enjoy Halloween. HoT won’t run away and also I can jump into it for a breather whenever I get tired of spooky partying. Never understood the need of absolutely having to beat an expansion in the first week.
You might wanna see a medic, that looks unhealthy
I think I’ve succeeded at this event once so far. That was actually pretty thrilling, so I’m not sure it should be nerfed, because it just feels so rewarding when you actually do it. If they do it, I hope not too much
Unless you have a twohanded on the back and two onehanded at your sides, that would give an awful problem with clipping, I’m afraid. It would look terrible, so I think it’s better this way.
With other armors it should be the same, would be a strange bug otherwise. Sometimes it’s your backpiece though, which you can’t see when hovering the mouse over the damaged armor symbol. Maybe that’s how you got the impression? (Or dying more often on zerker? Just an evil thought to throw out there
)
Awesome, thanks a lot!!
Had the same thing once, people left the northern battery too early and it went down just a sec before the phase ended. If there’s no one left to defend they can go down pretty quick
I always get confused when looking at the beta map. I never know whether that mastery point is above or below.
I see a “Swordmaster” Faren mini coming up in the future
I’m mostly for Sylvari, followed by Charr and Norn.
Reporting for LFG abuse would be the only thing coming to mind.
I wonder, do you still see LFGs by people you block? Otherwise that would be another way to make sure you don’t get trolled by this particular person again
They can’t? I’ve seen someone running around with them
I tried to select pet and it doesnt work, for any of new ones, nobody can’t select or try it out. I STRONGLY HOPE THIS IS A BUG OR LACK OF PATCH UPDATE.
If we don’t get pet testing then it’s proven that they never care and never will care for Ranger.
I suppose it’s a bug. Because if there are people running around with them, like I’ve seen, it’s hardly “nobody”.
They can’t? I’ve seen someone running around with them
Any chance on getting those two shows on youtube?
Are there more guild member restrictions than just the decorating one? For example, can you block members from upgrading stuff or even entering the hall?
And for the scribe, will there be crafting stations in cities like for the other crafts or are they restricted to guild halls?
I’d guess it’s so you don’t accidentally flush something you put into bank for safekeeping.
Any info on whether we will be able to switch halls is highly anticipated. Me and my guildies are not exactly blown away by the two that we saw so far though they are nicely done, so we’re wondering if we can change when new ones get released.
Ok, now that we have the actual patch notes:
Why is it that most professions are getting things rebalanced/fixed and thief and warr only get a straight up buff?
I don’t mind using something else instead of icebow, i’ve been playing without it for a while, but i don’t like being punished for not maining warrior…
What is gathered from these patch notes: 1) Colin doesn’t like not being the single most important part of the group setup.
2) Colin decided to play with rifle this week…I don’t like the direction of these patch notes at all…
You do realize that a buff can rebalance things too? They nerfed pistols quite a bit with the trait overhaul, so getting a bit of the damage back is one way to give them back some playability.
Can’t talk about warriors cuz I don’t have one.
And both warrior/thief have a fix in their list. Granted, the others have more, but if there is nothing to fix or if those fixes need more time/can’t be included yet, why do you need there to be fixes in the notes?
I know this might have been discussed already, yet after searching the forums, I still didn’t feel like I found any good reasoning towards the arguments I have on the matter..
…
And your arguments are invalid and irrational..
…
Could we have some explanation or valid, non-marketing-related arguments as to why it is so darn important for you to completely remove vanity items?
You must be an utter delight to discuss things with on a rational level.
I was thinking the same.
“Please give me reasons, but don’t include ‘main reason 1’ or ‘main reason 2’, thanks”. What kind of request is that?
Could it be that you changed the zoom level on the mini map? Icons appear bigger when you zoom in
Thanks for answering that, Just a flesh wound. Makes sense that they wouldn’t allow it to be unlimited.
Question in between, because I didn’t hear it answered or I might have missed it: Can I do this Legendary Journey more than once? For example, get Juggernaut AND Sunrise? And if yes, can I complete each single one more than once too, to get 2 Quips for dual wield for example (no way I’d really do this, that thing’s hideous >.<)?
I hope it’s something new, but I’ll watch it either way
I’m getting them about every second day, but I think when I started it took maybe two weeks for the first to drop
Sometimes it’s not even a ledge I’d need to jump that prevents it from working, but just a small bump in terrain (that you could walk over) or a small tree in your way. That makes it really frustrating
During the attack on Claw Island, when Lionguard Mira says “By the gods, there’s so many of them” with all the energy and emotion of a dead fish
A man wearing women’s clothing is actually contrary to natural law. Natural law doesn’t change to fit our disordered appetites.
I had to LOL at that. Where is this “natural law” from? I’d love to know. And what exactly does this “natural law” say?
Man not wearing skirts and the like is more due to social norm. And social norm can change. Just like women wear pants and bikinis now and no one bats an eye. Clothes are not inherently male/female anyway, they’re just a piece of cloth. Society just put labels on them.
Anyway, back to topic, I agree that male armors are a little bland in comparison to female. Same with the hair, I’d love to see some of the ridiculous hairstyles jrpgs have to offer, just to have a bit of a break from the mostly clear-cut ones we have.
So you want to “play neutral” and push real existing orientations out of the game, because you don’t care for them.
Your “respect” seems pretty one-way to me: “respect me and keep that stuff away from the game, but respecting them? no, why?”
That is not 100% wrong. I never said I opened it. I hadn’t even used it.
We could go technical and say that you “opened” it, since it has been applied to your account. Not using it is not the same as not “opening” it.
Now, I’m not against asking for a possible refund. I’ve done the same when the Account Jump bundle I bought few days before the sale suddenly got discounted during key sale.
But what I can’t understand is to call such happenings “a kick in the face” and the like. It’s not their fault that you didn’t wait for a possible sale or that your timing was so bad that you got the item shortly before it was discounted. It’s more or less upsetting, yes, but it’s not like they did that on purpose to screw with you.
Sylvari – Best class for them, I think is Mesmer. It goes with Mordremoth being the dragon of plants and mind, I think. Worst class for them, I think would be elementalist. Cuz fire.
To quote Sergeant Meppsi from the Silverwastes: “Sylvari aren’t kindling, you know.”
I never type the word as I usually talk in a way that doesn’t get censored, unless it’s some weird letter/number combination on accident that gets replaced because it could look like something inappropriate when you rotate the screen by 84 degrees and squint at it.
On the other hand, I sometimes have fun reading other responses and trying to guess for each “kitten” what the original word might have been or if it’s been typed out on purpose
If the OP had bought LS2 from a physical store (or even an online store like Amazon), if ‘a few days’ was within their return period (usually 28 days but it does vary) and had not opened it (and had proof of purchase) then they would be entitled to return it for a full refund. You don’t even need a reason in most cases. And if there was a sale going on at the time they would then be able to re-purchase it at the lower price.
One could argue though, that it has been “opened”. It has been applied to your account. That you haven’t played it yet is by no means their responsibility.
To go back to your example, it’s like you bought the disc, unwrapped it and put it in your collection. You just haven’t installed it yet.
Imho, they’re fine as is, at least the PVE ones. Don’t usually do the others.
The harvesting stuff makes you visit different regions, even when you’re not usually there. Even for people who find it annoying, this can be done quite quickly, and then you can return to whatever you wanted to do.
Fractals are already cooperation, what do you want to change there to get more cooperation? Only thing I’d maybe change is to make it so you can’t get two fractal missions at the same time, for people who don’t do fractals it’s blocking other possible dailies. But then again, you’ll get both dailies in one fractal run, that’s kinda nice. Also if it’s dailies for everyone, it makes it easier to find a group, does it not?
World bosses are also coop, with or without dailies, random or not. Not sure how randomizing that would give rise to better cooperation?
Mystic forger does not need to be mentioned in any way, I suppose.
And as for event completer, I think it’s better if everyone has the same region. Now of course you’ll have people flocking to the same events and sometimes you arrive too late. But it’s also nice to have many people on the map, who’ll ping any events in chat. If players are split up in different zones, there’ll be less of that. So with everyone on the same zone, I feel like there’s actually more cooperation. Also, correct me if I’m wrong, I was under the impression more people on a map actually made events spawn faster/more, which would make it easier to complete the daily? Not 100% sure on that one though.
As for more challenging, not sure what could be more challenging when PVE dailies are random, except maybe a few less people at a boss or the higher need to search out/do events for yourself.
Rewards is one aspect that makes these events fun. It’s a part of looking forward to what new item you will be able to buy with them. At least for me, I’ll play the events already giddy about what I’ll be able to choose from the vendor or wondering what I might get as loot.
Do I enjoy lore and gameplay? Absolutely, but I also enjoy collecting things. It’s another way of fun in the game for me. And if the event cannot combine fun gameplay and being able to collect stuff, I’ll have to choose one over the other. I can get fun gameplay anytime else, but those rewards are only available for a limited time, so of course I’ll choose the rewards. This is not so much about instant gratification for me, but long term. I’ll have those items and will look fondly back to the events that gave them, even if they were a bit of a mess (looking at you, Karka event).
Imho, we get all the important bits throughout the game. Be it through interaction with DE themselves or from Npcs talking. Not right from the bat ofc, but it’s still there.
I have to agree, they’re hard to see. They need some more contrast to the map
I’m just gonna play it safe and not count anything for the first day into my calculations. That way I won’t be (too) disappointed if I don’t get much.
Currently at 7, I’m only missing a warrior. Will get expanded for at least revenant, though I usually only have one of each class
As far as I can see that’s only two people. Not exactly something I would call the whole community. There’s always bad apples among the crowd, as sad as it is.
Also, you might wanna edit the names out? Forum rules don’t like naming people I think.
I’d say let it confuse them. That way they’ll be curious about it and get information about lore.
“Confusion” in itself is a bad argument imho. They’ll be as confused about whatever will happen in HoT or LS3, because they missed the stuff before, unless they update themselves on what happened. Same here
If there’s not a number on the map indicating the level range for that area, you can’t go there. Isn’t that easy enough to see?
Also, sometimes when you go after a commander the event is already finished when you get there due to the massive amount of players also following the com.
That is a very heartwarming interpretation, nice
Of course I’m not 100% sure about it, but I think the event did start on time. It looks to me like the event cycle is 30 min forewarning where the next invasion is going to be and then 30 min actual invasion. The forewarning appeared right on time for the event start.
In EotM, I once got somehow transported into a tower structure above the courtyard of the arid fortress. I had positioned myself on the ledge alongside during the fight and just in the moment the ogre chief went down I was suddenly behind the walls. Could only watch my train leaving, before I even had the idea to port out. Originally I wanted to stay and wait for an enemy train to take over the keep, that would probably have been fun to watch from the inside. But it took too long and when our train came through again, I used the WP and joined up.
Another fun EotM moment was when we went to one of the diving goggles with the whole zerg. Oh, it was raining dead bodies left and right of the bucket, it was so funny.
Couldn’t agree more. There’s almost always one inside the tp or at the bank when I go there.
That is actually kinda cool, I’d be all for that. I love artwork inside the game, and this would a perfect opportunity to admire more of it.
BUT only if they have nothing important to work on atm, I’d hate for “non-flavor” contents to be delayed by the work this probably needs to be implemented.
Mad King’s Clocktower is the only one I have been unable to do – I’m god awful at JPs (love them) but it takes A LOT of trial and error and Portals for me to do them xD MKC doesn’t offer me that luxuary (and thats the way I’d like it to stay).
Same here. I admit I had to have a friend help me get that achievement, I am seriously bad at JPs and even more so under pressure.
I try that when I bought watchwork tool a few days before sale. They told me I could not get 500 gems difference back.
I think that might be because the watchwork tool has been in the shop for a while. It could have been expected to go on sale, since it’s such an old item.
The account jump however had been added to the store only about a week before the sale, making it highly unlikely to appear on a sale. Thus it was a bit misleading, which might have factored into anet giving a refund for it. Just speculation on my part, though.
