Except the price recover shows that shenanigans like this doesn’t work even with luxury items with limited supply generation. A week later, price back where it was, even lower, than just before the spike occurred.

I don’t disagree that there’s inflation, or that wealth can be concentrated among an “upper class”, just that such on obvious attempt of manipulation can’t last long in a market with this many players as long as the “spice flows” supply entering the market is relatively constant. Patience is the key when using the market.

re: World Bosses – Oddly, they don’t count as champs, only events, and group events. It kinda makes sense when you consider that Champs don’t count as elites or vets, and elites don’t count as vets.

The Norn counts as a champ. The events also spawn champs because there are so many people there.

I hate to tell you this but it’s probably far too late for requests like this, at least for the first parts of Season 2.

During Season 1 Anet said they had a 4 month development time for each release (4 teams, each working on 1 month of content). If they kept to that schedule then they’re already 3/4 done, which means they’re probably on to bug testing, tying up loose ends, adding vocals etc.

It’s actually likely that at least some people (like the writers and others who work on the overall theme of the content) have been working on Season 2 ever since Season 1 ended, if not before.

They probably started season 2 the same time they finished writing up season 1. As you say lead time is several months so everything I am sure is planned out to Christmas with wiggle room if enough complaints come in to change things slightly.

Events you can do at any time, hearts themselves are not really exciting for me. JP’s you still get a chest every time you do any of them. Meta events, running around with people you know, being able to wp anywhere on the map, there are lots of things to do. Sounds like you need goals, so I suggest you set a goal. It does not need to be a hugely time consuming one but something like get all ap or ascended backs or all ascended accessories or if you like the skin go for legendary (be prepared for a long wait and a lot of gold reuired).

I personally enjoy most of the world bosses. You will get lots of rares to either break down or sell depending on what you want. I also really enjoy Tequatle, you need to show up about 30 min before or else your chances of defeating it are very low, teamspeak or organized guilds are not essential but if you find one great. I also enjoy wurm which is done daily by several guild and guild groups (biggest areTxS in eu and TTS in NA, but there are several that do it outside of these) almost essential that you join a guild/group with teamspeak.

How would anything change with being called an instance rather than being called a map? Right now for Wurm with GW2Community there are probably 600 people trying to get on a 500 person teamspeak server for runs that can take a maximum 450 people (3 wurm runs) due to lack of people wanting to be a commander. Why do you think these people would suddenly vanish or commanders suddenly appear if you called it an instance?

PUG maps usually kill teq, lately they are usually bugging teq as stated by the poster above. Nerf would just have teq in bugged mode 100% of the time.

Let them QQ, keeps them indoors and out of trouble.

I really am looking forward to the new areas as well. Should be a fun summer.

But Arenanet cannot design the game based around these skill fights. Colin himself said the game is meant to be played in the open world with lots of players, grouped or otherwise. This means, you have to have encounters in the open world that are easy enough for random passerbys to complete together. I figured it was high time I took the time to explain why I am no longer playing GW2, and I seriously don’t expect that I will be back anytime soon.
It’s the responsible thing to do I think, since most players that leave simple go silent without saying anything. So take this for what little it’s worth.

The responsible thing to do is to not break forum rules, which you’re doing by making a leaving post.

1. The only people who care why you’re leaving are people who already agree with you, some of which have left. Many of us like the game pretty much the way it is. Not that it doesn’t have room for improvement, but my guild, at least, is hopping and everyone seems quite happy with the game.

2. Most players simply go silent. That’s true. This is people who like the game and people who hate the game. Making the assumption that most of the silent people agree with or would support your points is an erroneous assumption. Some people will and some people won’t, just like the people who answer this thread.

Use of the word responsible means that you see what you believe to be true as objectively right, when it’s high subjective. Even in this thread, many people disagree with what you’ve said.

If you don’t like a game, leave the game. Making a post like this is not only against the rules, but it’s completely 100% pointless. Unless you’re saying something totally unique that no one has complained about before, which isn’t the case.

Except the reason for the forum rules is Not about a healthy discussion of differing opinions. It’s simply a rule so that people do not realize How discontented other players are.

Well, just to be the devil’s advocate. Have you considered maybe a lot of players don’t want to have their head out of the sand?

If you’re enjoying the game, and you come in the forums to talk about it, you probably don’t want to see a sea of threads telling you your game sucks. You don’t want to know the ‘truth’ because unlike finding out your mom and dad has divorced, the game being good or bad doesn’t really have any wider implications on your life if you’re enjoying the game, so why would you want your head out of the sand?

The idea which developers usually operate on is have all the quitting threads sent to them directly through questionnaires, so they can read them without having the forums be covered in them.

Or this is a forum owned by the company and you are allowed access to it? They own it, they make the rules, they enforce those rules. Lots of sites where the truth is out there.

I have not used the new system. Do you get an actual item to unlock the trait? If so is it account bound? If account bound it can be used on another character created later.

When you go underwater you switch weapons. The release notes say that when you switch weapons you lose the stacks previously built up. The work around is that you need the same sigil on the weapon switched to to maintain the stack.

The only option I could see was to convert 10 scraps to a sanctum box, this option is available from the black lion weapons merchant when you have them on your character. Really dislike the boxes but better psychologically than throwing them all away.

I a curious about what Steam would give? They would take a cut of the profit. They would slow down releases since it would need to go through steam. They would not be exposed to any bigger market than they are already exposed to. Where is there any up side to going through Steam?

To clarify, since it does not show up in the screenshot posted above –
the ad was just llike the previous announcements of – “Scarlet’s Minons are Attacking Frostgorge Sound!” big yellow text, right in the middle of the screen. It also showed up in the chat box.

Notification is fine. In-game mail would have been much better than this immersion breaker.

You can turn off the in game adds by paying a small monthly fee.

Dunno how it was in the past – the past two times I ran them (maybe over the past 4-6 weeks?) it was abysmal (no pun intended) scale drops that were a waste of time.

The sharks where changed long ago, just after the last LS on Southsun I think.

At least the bird is 6 so you can replace it with another option. Ogre uncontrolled pet is 4 with the 5th and 6th giving goodish stats so you must keep this option. Wish they would put the Ogre rockdog on 6 so I could get rid of it.

Since you know where the key is but can’t use it on the space provided you will need to submit a ticket I would guess.
