Depends on who you talk to. Then there is the waffle of what is optimal vs playable and in which specific situations each is better or worse. All player choice really.

It is as close as you are going to get. The main complaint is that people created something used it for years and no longer enjoy it or no longer feel in tune whatever that means. Create a new character, same proff, keep old for prezzies.

I must agree with this. Titles are way off lore. There is a huge lack of imagination here. For example “Elonian Envoy” from PoF prepurchase, what does it even mean? Why not Fire Envoy, or Flame Envoy, or Scout of Fire (because we are PoF scouts, and beta testers, and stress testers, and feedback providers). Those titles would have been way better, but this is just my humble opinion.

Because you and an Envoy to a country or state from a different country or state not to a bit of fire. You cannot be an envoy to an object.

I found the map NPCs to be about equivalent to lvl 60 core maps in difficulty (champs and group events). This can and probably will change for release but if not and it is a trend for all new maps it will be very uninteresting.

This has been asked for several times.
Until/if they do something I found that the easiest way was to create a character (I have an extra spot) throw everything into that characters bag and then delete that character.
If you have no extra spots this can’t be done and you need to manually type each item.

Everything is kept. You can change halls now and has been shown by players and stated by anet.
Just Will cost gold and the guild point whatever they are called.

No where did I say it was easy. I said it took time and a willingness to learn. I don’t actively search out groups and play solo but I also never pass up a chance to do an event because other people are doing it as well.

Expansion is not released yet, and by definition something cannot be removed that was never in a playable version of the game. They can also at any time add things that the player base is 100% sure has been removed or not as they see fit.

Best advice is to kill things as you go along and not run through them. Raptors will eat you alive if you try. If you pull too many things you will die. Take it easy and learn each enemy and you will live.

I was surprised as well. It said sale ending soon, no countdown timer and then was gone.

The best thing to do is go back and level a character the long way around. You are going to be very surprised (not in a good way) otherwise in high level maps and content.

They have said a guild may only have one GH. There’s nothing preventing you from having an alternate guild and getting some folks to help you take a new GH, though.

But the amount of time and resources to get it to max level as well! Ouch. I don’t think anyone will be crazy enough to undertake that venture for the mere cosmetics.

I’ve come to terms with the fact that Anet will work actively to prevent wealthy players. I do believe that there are wealthy players; players that are wise in the ways of flipping high priced items at the TP, players that guessed that certain common items would rise in price and accumulated large quantities prior to the spike. But as a whole Anet does not favor that situation and at times if an event becomes obviously apparent they can and have intervened.

Prior to the release of the game Anet hired a gentleman whose name I do not remember. But I do remember he was adamant that the economy could be controlled and that he would do it.

I don’t think Anet does it to mean or because it hates the players. It does it to provide a stable economy. An economy that has the correct gold to gem ratio. I do believe if Anet wanted t6 leather prices to drop they would turn the dial and loot bags could be filled. It will change … and then change again.

People are playing the game and having fun. If I want to play the game like a Tycoon type game I need to accept the environment that I’m playing in, I wonder if Silver is going to spike this time around?

There are many (relative) incredibly wealthy players so not something they are actively preventing, they are very good at inflation control however.

Even if I have Synergetic Tempered Spinal Blades and used a lot of money for it back then when it was relatively new, I can somewhat understand why they are doing this for Living Story items which are not available or ortherwise hard to get.

OMG, yes. Mad Memories should definitely be in a box. Titles shouldn’t, titles are earned, and nothing here has indicated anything about buy titles, only skins. I would very much like to see more people with Mad Memories.

You can have as many guild halls as you have space to have. Max is 5 guilds so you can have 1 or each and a couple of the same.

They only have one location that is an instance. I would love for it to be like the mists but it is not. I don’t think it is possible to be both an instance and within a commonly shared map (kind of the definition of instance) but if it was I am sure they would implement it.

The part of the crafting system I have a problem with is the recipes themselves, and especially cooking, they are all over inflated requiring far to many materials. It’s a pity because I feel they could have had a good crafting system if it wasn’t for that.

Cooking is the absolute cheapest and fastest to level, how is it over-inflated in any way?

Fishing is in the game. Write how you want to modify it.
Standing on the side of a bit of water doing something, waiting a minute or random amount of time then doing something then waiting a random amount of time then doing something is to me the most horrendously boring thing to do ever. Not to say they won’t but everything they have done up to now indicates they want people to actively do things in game. The glory of AFK fishing is not really what I see as a goal for them.

You are aware what an open forum is?

The question is which spider, which mushrooms. Spiders are generally not a problem, mushrooms generally are. The poison spray of spiders is telegraphed, the various mushroom actions, charge, carpet bomb etc are not and you can run out of dodge. Don’t fight multiples is a really good bit of advice as well.

I have never seen a post by ANET where they say this. This is a player side thing and I have said it myself. What every company does is have a list of what they want done, what can be done by time x and what would basically be fantasy. Everything has a priority whether you own company or not. Player are basically projecting what they think the priorities are.

Yeah, but if you used it up a long time ago, it was on things that you needed/wanted, which a newer player doesn’t have the option for.

Vast majority went to 2 private guild halls. Not something I would recommend to new players.

They are out there, for about half the cost of Core+either expansion.

In Europe HoT can be bought for roughly 18 euros the prices I have looked at, which is a couple of dollars different from what people have said the base game costs on ebay. That to me is a meaningless price to not pay.

If you buy the base game which is no longer sold by ANET, then the person wants to go to the next stage or they want gliding (HoT) they will need to pay again roughly at this point the exact same price. Why not just buy HoT and be done with it?
