I think we can all agree that Queen Jenna is barefoot.
I think we can all agree that Logan runs.
I think we can all agree that the game can always be improved, in some way, shape or form.
I don’t agree that Logan runs. lol

If it is a movie it is true.
You have 5 spots to play with, all of them are useful. I really enjoy ranger myself and it has taken me a very long time to enjoy necro. Guard I really want to enjoy, it is light to play and can do a lot it just does not touch my interest. I do have all at 80 and play through all of them on a fairly regular basis.
ckittene is popular, is like cyclohexene but made from kittens?
Also this thread https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/OMG-If-you-only-knew-this-tips-for-new-players/first
And other threads in the players helping players forum is very useful.
Right, thanks alot all ppl, WHO did help me out here
1 more question before i start the game xD and thats about “race” can i take whatever race to whatever class or is there one specific good race for each class ? or does it matter?
Everything can be used by all races/classes. I suggest picking something and giving it a try, you have 5 slots to play around with.
Again, have fun.
WvW is divided into tiers 1-3 (I don’t play wvw so don’t take it as accurate). It sounds like you want a tier 2 world with a lot of back and forth. Again, visit the wvw forums for more detail.
PvE all servers share the same zones, same with sPvP. Only WvW are server based and you should look at the standings that you can find in that forum to try to determine where you would fit in best. If you think you have made a mistake you can delete all characters and transfer for free (as long as the server is not full). If you do this everything that is not character bound and in your personal bank will transfer with you.
Have fun with the game.
I think we should probably all agree on the fact that there isn’t anything we would all agree on.
I disagree with this post, because I actually think that there are things we would agree on.
Such as the lack of penguins and ducks in this game.
Note the word “all”.
I did notice that word. But it is a proven fact that everyone loves penguins and ducks.
and pie
I like pie, the penguins and ducks not so-much unless it’s the duck on a plate.
So duck pie is good, and I bet you watched at least one pengu as a small child and thought it was ok.
We are finally all* in agreement! Yay us.
(* all may not include everyone who is not included in the all bit I just wrote)

Indie titles have a smaller playerbase and much much shorter chain of command so if they are not responding more to players it is mostly because they don’t personally have the skills to do so.
No, you misunderstand. I’ve seen pretty good overall communication, even if it’s the unfiltered bluntness of someone who doesn’t know how to “PR Dance”. (Something you can could have seen last year in these forums, in fact. Won’t say more, as it could be “calling out” the individual, even though I do like it.)
But on the other hand, more than a few times? Seen it where a studio where there’s less people than the fingers on a hand developing a game communicate openly and honestly. Luckily, the forums tend to actually be civil and respectful for the most part.
Large ones like this there are many layers between forums and people who can decide things, and many layers back down again when things are decided.
Let’s be honest? Those layers (and the “PR Speak Filter”) exist primarily so we do have a discourse where we don’t have people utterly misbehaving for attention (even negative attention) or just to shout down those they don’t agree with (which happens a lot).
It exists so you don’t get a developer sound byte or quote making it around the Internet which casts poorly on the company as “unprofessional” no matter how much it was baited out of them.
Personally players thinking that they should have constant feedback for things is a reflection of their own self-doubt.
I always like having feedback when I run tabletop games, and usually reserve the last ten minutes of time of a session to go “so, what are your thoughts, what would you like to see different, and did anything stand out good or bad?”. And, much like people accuse ArenaNet . . . I am likely to listen, nod my head, and go on anyway with what had already been planned for the next two weeks of sessions while furiously working to retool something further down the line.
I never said I disagreed with you.
Dragon bash was hosted by captain’s council of LA, highly doubt they were in the mood of hosting a festival right after a devastating attack.(And if any bashing going on, it will be Scarlet, since no npc at the time knows a dragon is behind this.)
Seeing Anet just shot Zephyrites down from the sky, and they perm grounded on dry top, I will guess bazaar is not coming back next year either.
I am guessing the festival will coincide with the rebuilt Lions Arch being put into the game.
The Zephyrites lost the flag-ship but I don’t think the entire fleet was lost. When the leader gets what he is after they will probably regroup and go back to whatever trading schedule they had before.
. . . really? Worst forum on the whole of the Internet?
Oh, that you have ever seen. I have seen incredibly worse ones, also by actual companies. I’ve seen worse companies over “do we care about your opinions”, come to think of it.
Really, it’s nice even when we get a red post going “We’ve discussed this, and it’s probably not changing since we don’t agree with your interpretation”.
It’s far, far better than “Working As Intended” from another MMO I used to play. In quotes because it never worked, was obviously patched later, and they stuck to the story of it always working but people not doing it properly.
. . . but it’s still not as good as a couple indie game company forums I’ve been involved in. (Highly recommend Gnomoria.)

So far only agree that there used to be an Iron Greatsword.

Use what is already available.
In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
Being the least mediocre in a sea of mediocre game releases isn’t a revolution in gaming.
All the people in the games industry must just be wilfully blind and stupid right? I mean if you can see the solution right off it must be the right one.
Then you are on the outside of the difficulty curve that is this game is set up for.
They can force changes to display names if they deem them unacceptable for whatever reason so it is possible if they are willing. You can always contact support via the link at the top of the page and hope for the best.
I have the perfect compromise idea. A gem store costume that makes you look like you are riding a mount. It will still be your legs running and your own profession’s speed boost. But the costume will look like you are riding a mount.
You mean like the riding broom we already have? >.>
Or was that your point? For the people who want mounts, just give them 2 coconut shells and be done with it.
What kind of swallow would be used to deliver it though?
Does this mean everywhere or just in instances?

I bet all of the people that answred no in this thread is people who already have all the skins.
I actually hated the game and I still say no.
They are unlockable by buying GW1 and playing it. Go for it.
can you describe this elephant you are seeing?
Could add the champ symbol like the commander symbols that is they are on the mini map edges and you can move the mini map around to see what is happening on the map you currently are on.
could also be used for any old content but I am thinking specifically of GW1 posts.
1. kind of defeats the purpose of the event.
2. would be slide screen mode if you where lucky, otherwise server crashes.
Exactly but the mods can’t move threads there since it is not an official a net forum. Create one here and there will be much rejoicing.
I think a new forum section called living in the past would be an excellent idea. On top would be a permanent link to GW1 and would be a wonderful place for the countless threads with the exact same things stated over and over again.
As has been said do the exploration in pieces while your server has the map. I personally don’t see the joy of wvw but have done it on 2 characters now. The vast majority of the time I meet zero people, other times I fight and win or lose no problems since if I lose I wp and try again right away or leave it for later.
Some sort of Brady Bunch squares set up would be perfect for my 44. Failing that bit of luxurious nonsense eight to ten would be great.
I was thinking the exact same thing but didn’t think many would still know what I was talking about
Play the game and make up your mind from that. The echo chamber of the forums will not be incredibly helpful.
So the melee classes are the easiest It sounds like. I might give the warrior a swing just to get a feel for the game in general.
I do kind of want to play a ranger/thief but surfing around on their forums tell me that they aren’t in a real good spot right now so Ill probably wait on those.
Never trust the forums.
Except if you don’t play it for one year, you can’t go back and play a year’s worth of it. So it’s not an expansion, and will never be as good as that. They keep making temporary content as a carrot to try and get people to log in, but it will never be ‘an expansions worth of content’ unless I can go back and play everything I missed.
Why do people always postulate an expansion for GW2 would contain more/better content as the LW seasons plus feature packs? There are no proves for this assumption. While waiting for an expansion there would be no new content for one or more years. An expansion can’t fill this gap. With LW plus feature patch you will not have a gap. When season 2 ends season 3 will start a few months later. Between the seasons we will see a feature pack with a high odd.
At this rate for season 2 we will get a number of dynamic events equal to 5-6 new maps. We will get a dozens of new world bosses and hundreds of new recipes. We also get many new stat combos and weapon sets.
I can also make assumptions: the first four episodes are the Flame&Frost equivalents. The episodes afterwards will be quadrupled in content.
The size of a map is not important. You could triple the size southsun. People would still ignore it for most of the time. Important is the content and it’s density. The density of events in Dry Top until now is higher than in most other maps.
Two episodes are two less far an evaluation of season 2 like the first two episodes of season 1 where to less for an proper evaluation of season 1. A first decent evaluation can be done after 6-10 episodes.I’m not disagreeing. What I AM saying is that if I miss this content, I can NEVER go play it. With an expansion. I could.
Why could you not play this content if you missed it?
I would point out the 5000 hours played.
If after a couple of hundred hours you where not enjoying it or 1000 hours you still where not happy I would question why put in 5000 hours which is several hours each and every day since launch. In your rush to defend the game you’ve completely missed the point of the OP.
I bow to your greater knowledge.
Quite a wise decision.
Yes, the poster is like a mighty wind that blows all before it.

I agree with the op. I have 2 backpieces made and while a third would be something to do is not really in my plans (I still have enough shards to make one). I traded in 1000 shards while I could just to get rid of them since what you traded them for was not really impressive. I can make more with the sprockets than the shards so would not mind that option to get sprockets.
I do believe we will be seeing more watchwork type mobs so sprockets could again be very common, this does not mean a way to get rid of account bound items would not be welcome.
For me the most mindless is guardian followed by warrior.
Engie but it is similar to ele in that switching kits around leads to better play, otherwise mesmer (because it is fun) or ranger are what you are asking for I think.
Try all classes, avoid the ones you don’t enjoy playing.
Blade shards are not utterly worthless though. They may be worthless to you, but something being worthless to you does not automatically mean it is worthless to everyone else.
The conversion is a choice to save time at the expense of more coin.
Either spend a lot of time farming blade shards for the items you want, or buy the sprockets and convert them over to blade shards.
Re-read what they wrote.
When the weekend is over can this thread be merged along with the others created this weekend?
I really enjoy the underwater combat. Sure it could be improved but with everyone screaming for their pet projects to be improved the company goes for the majority and the majority are ambivalent towards this aspect of the game.
I would request the underwater swimming animations be changed the diver in me just does not like it. It is kind of boring how you actually move underwater but it is better than flailing around like the characters/npc’s do now.
I don’t understand the statement you just made. I just play a number of other pc games where I bind my attack to my mouse1 and guild wars is the only game I know that doesn’t allow this.
They have double-click or right click to attack. What else are you looking for on a regular mouse?
Majority of my characters are whisperers because I like that story line/characters better. You may not, so at the end of the day pick one (if you are in all of them you get to unlock all the skins even if that character did not choose that order).
wait! can you participate in the current living story episode even if you are a lowly level 50? (I am only 15 days into the game)
The last living story you where upscaled to 80 for the events/areas while the story was active. Since they have made everything permanent this time around you are no longer upscaled.
We can ride to the duels on our mounts since all of the WPs will be gone.
Perfect
