100 is very very easy now, 300 will be very very easy in the near future. Money (gold) in game is not the hardest thing to get your hands on.
If you are only wanting a make over kit try doing a couple of key runs and see if you get one from the black lion chests. Guides to doing key runs are easy to find, all it is is doing human commoner path to 10 personal story, choose hospital. Takes 20 min after a while, first time 30-40 min.
The options available are in the store tab, buy gems if you want to see if your payment method is there.
Engie, mesmer, and ele require different timing than the others and a more active interaction to make sure you are in the right weapon kit/attunement/clone setup for the encounter. Mesmer I personally found smooth and really fun from level 1, others say it is horrible up to level 40 or 60 or 80, just play it and see. Thief is another thing but that is placement of character in battle and going into stealth at the right time. Frankly with ele I stayed in earth attunement for most of my leveling (scepter, dagger) and found it fairly survivable, just not nearly as good as when you get the attunement swapping down.
Why do you need to infuse it if you will never run fractals?
Depends on your definition of awsome. Read the news section, read dulfy.net load the game and see for yourself.
I would have been shocked if wildstar was not number two. Fairly consistent numbers over the years for GW2. Will be more interesting to see Q4 numbers and compare wildstar and GW2.
There has been only one person who consistently asks people to leave the teq map in the many many runs I have done, no idea why since if it fails it is not because someone is doing map completion. Just block that one person and get on with your life.
I think the players felt engaged during development of Guild Wars 2. There seems to be lots of posts mentioned how ‘the Devs used to be more communicative’.
I have seen that type of post in almost every game I have played. I am not sure if it is because of good old days thinking or if every game there comes a point where it is more trouble to engage than to focus efforts elsewhere.
The fastest way to reach lvl 80 is to use 78 Tome of Knowledges.
From lvl 2 to 80 in less than 2 minutes.
60 if you have a level 20 scroll.
Everything you wrote is either huge or completely irrelevant to me personally.
It is annoying it is not griefing by the company. Every game company has this fantasy that people really do want to PvP they just need to be pushed into it. It does not work as far as I have ever seen but is what is done. I did 2 world completions solo and frankly saw only a couple of players while doing the last one a month ago (not running with a zerg).
You choose the stats after you make those ascended backs, spinal blades are tough to get if you do not have them now, dwayna is expensive easiest I hear is the fractal one.
What is stopping you from voluntarily paying money each month now? As you say it will be the exact same game for everyone else, you pay however much you want. Everyone wins?
People suggesting these subscriptions always tries to hide the real idea behind their suggestion and that is to get LOTS and LOTS more than what they would get with the same amount of money with current system.
Yes I know, I just like sending it back at them. They won’t change but sometimes windmills are fun.
Necro because? I could swear there have been posts within the last few weeks rather than a 6month old thread.
I don’t understand. When I use the homestone with my Asura, I can turn around and leave the home instance through the big red portal labelled “Rata Sum” and I am in Rata Sum. If I leave it via the small right arrow above the mini map I go where I was before.
Same goes for Holbraek and its home instance.
I am not at home and can’t test it. Is that not possible for the DR home instance?
So it seems to work exactly as advertised.
Could have posted in the bltc forum to get a better response.

I agree with the others who believe it would not have a huge benefit but might send some poor sap around the twist who takes it.
Just a reminder: in a little more than a week, Blizzard is going to announce the release date of Warlords of Draenor, together with cinematic (gamescom). There’s a prediction that the expansion itself may hit in less than next 3 months.
I really, really wish that ArenaNet will announce something bigger than another Feature pack and Living Story by then. Otherwise, megaservers may not be enough…
OMG we are all DOOOOMMed. Sorry
No, we’re not doomed. People who play GW2 probably won’t leave.
But MMO market has some specification. I’ll tell you how it works:
1. Blizzard makes a huge event, announcing new stage of their game development, showing off stuff, talking about it. It’s shiny, it’s major, it’s interesting.
2. Now, in the worst scenario, there’s ANet’s stage. You come to this place and you see them talking about small steps or Living Story or some QoL changes.
If I wasn’t playing this game, or if I left some time ago, I wouldn’t even bother.Nothing big to show off=game’s dead. That’s the mentality of many MMO players.
They really like to see how the game progresses in couple minutes. Then be or be not impressed and walk over to next stage. There will be many games and you have to attract the customer in a minute, not an hour. That’s how our present world and commercials work.
OK, blizzard and wow is not going to pick up anyone at all who does not already have a good idea of what the game is going to offer. They are fighting to get back the five or so million subs they have lost from peak, and if they pull in a few fresh faces so much the better. GW 2 razzle dazzle is 100% aimed at those tired masses that have slipped through the wow clone wars. It has been a soft sell strategy for a long time. The next quarterly report will give an indication of whether this has worked.

On vacation sorry, don’t have access to my account. Weapons are greatsword for range and sword pistol for melee.
There are mounts in game. You could create posts asking to expand the variety from broomsticks, diggers and kites. Instead you call people irrational and demand a type of mount that has zero chance of being implemented.
It is what I use, as for guides I can’t help with a link but the trait descriptions give a good indication of whether it is a good shatter skill or not.
Find two others who will be commanders, set up a team speak channel, instant 150 people who will join you.
Or complain that the event is too popular and others are too lazy to set up more runs when you want to do it.
Ahhh the freshman feeling you know i was once like you when i first played gw2 i was dang what an awesome game but with time you know everything gets odd when you wake up at the end and see there are not really many things to do and then you start thinking again.
Or not
Your point being what?
We can see an ancient pale tree in the new zone, they seen to coincide with the dragons waking from the little I have seen. If it dies the magic it holds would be fair game to the dragons.
I would not mind an increase. I can make everything and have a lot of the mats, just would rather the gold from damask than the minimal stat increase I would get from the item.
I think character slots and bank slots where worth it for me. I really liked the unlimited harvest tools. You can wait for sales they come every three months or so.
Gems to gold is not yet really worth it I believe.
Gold is there you need to find out what you are willing to do to get it. Dungeons, orr temples, mat farming (not from mobs) are just some of the ways to get gold.
My guess is that lions arch is going to be reopened. What kind of events or festival comes with it I have no idea.
I will predict that the forums will be full of complaints but that prediction is too easy.
I really suggest going out and exploring the world. Legendary weapons are a personal taste whether to show you have one or because you actually like the skin. I have made one legendary because I like the look but even so the process to get one is not something I want to repeat.
I don’t think any of them need sword more than any other weapon. I use it regularly on warrior, ranger and mesmer and fairly often on thief.
I just have to say something.
I never played Guild Wars 1, but a friend told me about Guild Wars 2 and I started playing in the beta. Within the first 20 minutes I knew this game was going to be special. And it is.
Having fallen in love with the world and the stories and the combat and the game modes, I’d considered picking up Guild Wars 1 to delve a bit deeper into the backstory, but if anything has convinced me to not play GW1, it’s the GW1 players that post on this forum. All this stuff about soul-crushingly hard content, 800 skills and builds and heroes and henchmen has been an absolute turn off to me. Not to mention the attitude and demeanor of this small minority of GW1 players with their continual bashing of this game and their sour, bitter and hateful treatment of anyone or anything to do with GW2 which is hands down the best MMO I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing.
I honestly wonder if you folks have ever played an MMO before because if you’ve seen the garbage that’s out there you would know that this gorgeous, fascinating and immensely interesting world the devs have created for us is one of a kind jewel in an ocean of mediocrity and to be treasured.
Seriously, if you like GW1 better, why don’t you play GW1 instead of posting here?
I agree with you. I tried GW1a year or so before the release of GW2. I just could not get into that game. Not a huge problem I just played other games. This sub population that you have seen as well removes any desire to give it a longer and more in depth try.
They have had mounts since what the first halloween (broomstick) and speed buffs since the game was released. If people want to freak out that is fine but nothing is being added that is not already in game. It is also not a gem store item nor does it give any extra speed than can be gotten from traiting into whatever for warrior melee speed boost which is the most popular class in game. I would guess they won’t make them available in combat and won’t be faster than 25% (ie not stackable over 25% with anything already in game).
Just the code is fine. Tell her that it is not GW1 and things should be fine.
Do people really get joy from repeating the same thing for almost two years?
Who me?
You, them. You just enable each other.
I’m not talking to them. The funny bit is, it’s not them that need to hear this. It’s other people.
A couple of days ago there was a thread on these forums where some guy demanded that Anet removed the megaserver. He made a petition. He was enraged by the complaints he saw on the forums. After he made his post, most people in the thread, practically all, came out in favor of the megaserver. It was like 8-2 before the thread got deleted. That guy read the thread about the megaserver complaints, got angry and posted. Then people messaged him and explained to him the value and he deleted his post. He posted that just before the thread was deleted.
The point is, most people who read forums don’t post in forums and many of them read casually. By posting what I post, I’m not trying to change Karla’s mind. I wouldn’t even begin to attempt it.
All I’m doing it showing a counterpoint to stuff I consider to be unfairly expressed (which I think it my right to do).
Do I get tired of it? Sure I do. And sometimes I take a break from it. But I think people need to see that the negative, which is far more prevalent on these forums, is not the only point of view.
And I do periodically get forum mail from lurkers who thank me for doing what I do.
Have fun then.
Do people really get joy from repeating the same thing for almost two years?

As has been said the best ranged weapon for mesmers is greatsword. Have never noticed myself then being broken in any way.
Devs won’t answer until release window. If you are looking for mushroom farmers you will find plenty.
Sure it would be great to reduce or remove this. If it was easy it would not be the problem it is for every single game I have played in the past. If you have solid solutions I would be happy to see how they work out.
Ok then.
The funny thing is, they ARE static, you just don’t see them as such, because they’re wrapped around in cellophane, or something.
Why is it so hard to accept the game might not be as great as you picture it?
Agreed, Karla.
LoL. Save Moshpoipoi! Every… single… time I go through there.
Static is why we have the ravening horde doing the Frostgorge hampster wheel.
Static is why Shaman goes down faster than a tray of free Twinkies at a Walmart.
Static is why timers work.
etc.A duck in a quaggan suit is still a duck. Even if the suit is unique to GW2. It’s still a duck.
In this thread https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Things-we-all-agree-on/first
everyone agreed there where no ducks in game but there should be (even in the form of pies). So your analogy does not hold up.It is a reference to “If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, and Quacks like a duck, odds are, it’s a Duck”. And, ducks amuse me.
I know they aren’t in game. Just like, “cough” Static repeatable quests aren’t. Wink wink.
wow, would never in a million year have guessed that.
Ok then.

If I say something is horrible then put a smiley
face I lack credibility
with what I am saying
I jump between all 8, it is not a bad thing.
Yes or no, do you still beat your dog?
Presumably because it’s level 0 with an upgrade slot, so it can be used when farming black lion keys by rushing through the first 10 levels of personal story. Small stat bonuses on gear matter a lot at low levels.
Can’t see any good return on investment for this being used during a key run. At most it would gain about a minute reduction in a 20 minute run (which is fairly standard for me without any bonus equipment at all). I do at max 2 runs in a day every couple of weeks but even if I was doing it non stop I could not justify to myself paying this much for frankly no significant speed increase.
It is too bad it happened and too bad that it could happen. There has to be better ways though to make 20 gold in 2 hours unless you really need to sell Arah.
I would think either ele or mesmer. Ele you would have the speed you are used to with more attention needed for attunement swapping, mesmer is fun in many ways but may drive you nuts due to being slow (no in built speed buffs, one weapon speed buff).
