I actually would love that snipe skill. Although, charging it up from full initiative with 15 in Trickery would result in… +30% damage, 4200 range (WTF OP QQ HAX), and 5% bonus crit chance. Coupled with Hidden Killer and Ghillie Suit (or any stealth) and assuming you’re zerking all out would result in an undetectable critical hit for 6,603.92 damage against an opponent with 2000 armor. When I was doing the math I thought it would be more OP, but in all reality it could use double the base damage to even be on the same playing field as the warrior’s Kill Shot… Or backstab for that matter, and being rooted would justify it rightly, since you can hit far more with backstab while not rooted every ~4 secondsz

Actually it would be more like 16% Damage, 2600 range and 5% crit chance. You have to pay 7 initiative to line up your shot.

The Ghillie Suit should serve 2 functions: Setting up an ambush (main functions) and hiding to let the zerg go by. You can’t transition from Ghillie Suit to Snipe and vice versa because not only have you burned 12 initiative but you negated camouflage by switching.

As for damage, maybe a damage boost would work but I am not in charge of balancing this. I would rather let the devs look at it and figure it out. :P

Oh it’s gets better, so this “league” is actually a glorified achievement. I can’t wait to see what lovely objectives there will be on the checklist. Kill the grub 100 times, kill the centaurs 100 times etc etc.

We’ve actually just recently added the tech to add an achievement for complaining on the forums.

The predator does not fire, flash or exude anything rainbowy. Anet doesn’t care about it.

So long as testing gets done, I don’t care. I mean their ideas look good on paper but they never really think to put their ideas to practice. Not only will it save them the hassle of going back and fixing it 5 times, but it’ll give them more time to focus on polishing up the rest of the game.

I love d/d conditions. There is absolutely no greater access to bleeding and cripple. The rate they get applied is astounding. The only problem with them is food and those with almost constant access to condition removal.

Maybe it isn’t that they are bad but that they’ve have are well into the phase of experimentation. Realize this game is an attempt to “break the mould of traditional MMOs” and to do so they need to explore areas of design that developers normally do not touch.

For instance, you play chess alot and have played it enough to know most of the usual tactics… but then a specific tactic catches your eye. This tactic is not used very much but you feel as though there is potential in it. So you take the tactic, build around it, refine it and then attempt to make it practical.

THAT is where the developers are headed.

Depends if the original idea gets okayed. Regardless, I like special suicide abilities for each profession.

the reason i said i dont want my opponents to play thief or mesmer is because they swear over and over they have no problem beating thiefs as any other class and that it is a L2P issue .

That’s because it is. I kept getting my kitten handed to me by mesmers all the time. Now that I have gotten my mes alt up to 40 and spent a good week on it, I realize how I am actually getting slaughtered by them. Nowadays they are less of a threat.
