Is it me that never sees a point to the black lion items that allow you access to your bank, a merchant, or the trading post? Most zones have at least a merchant and often one of the other two. Plus you can usually pop into the mists and get all three done there.

If this was supposed to get F2P players to pre-purchase then they have failed spectacularly. I’m thinking of canceling my pre-purchase.
I have actually spoken to some f2p players and they have stated they might prepurchase after playing the event. I honestly have no clue why but in their eyes it might seem as a good event.

Since I’ve been so deprived for content, I’m bored enough to play this event.
Anyway, how do you get max stacks? I complete and fully engage in every mordrem plant I encounter and get around 6-7 stacks… Other people get like 21… Any help?
the help is just touching one to two mobs and rushing to next event

Last year’s Halloween event is a good example. Almost a carbon copy of the year before, no change in story, only a few new item rewards. It wasn’t bad, but could have been a lot better.

i am up to 100 bloom i believe more or less from yesterday and today. and if you read my post, i said the money earn while doing the event from the normal mods in the area and collecting from the nodes. Gold is important to me, you never know when you might need to buy something. Yes, the big jump from daily, but that still counts, and i be able to earn more later, after a little sleep. At least then, my friends be up so we can play more, I work night and they needed sleep, hehe

You get no gold from the event. But that is really not my point. I have enough gold and I would love to spend it on the blossoms trader.
The Problem is: you got ~100 blossoms in like 5h or more? (If I get you right). Thats only because you got the thursday and friday ONCE per day chestmap reward! You will get around the same amount for saturday and sunday! Then you have after the event after you spent 10h+ around 200 blossoms. Problem is you will need for the next ~50 blossoms another 5-10hh (because you get the mapchest with blossoms only ONCE per day).
Again you will have ONE reward Item from the trader after you finished the whole event in 4 days nonstop farming! THAT IS BAD!

also at map chat a guy said after i explained you have to farm every day 3 hrs and another 3hrs to get ONE potion he claimed wow 15hrs and 4 days got 96 hrs sound fair and rewarding and no he wasnt joking. so real asia grind player seems really to love this event

So far I earned about 10 gold coins during the 3 events. Killing the normal mobs, and colelcting nods and doing events, and getting the event token, it been pretty good and still have till monday to contiune the fun.
I admit I not seen to many events, but this one does not feel bad. It hard to tell if you guys want easier for rewards or harder to be truthful, but maybe it not as bad as your making it out and saying everyone should hate it.

The event has you running all over the map, what else is on the map but nodes. Iron, soft woof, and depending on luck with harvests. Also I attack the creatures in the way, since they still spawn, I got a bunch of bags from the centaurs in kissex and other things. I even got like 3 tier 6 item form a bag a champion toxic spore creature thing. More or less, you do not have to focus 100% on the event, as you still get the event complete. I usually stack close to 10-15, depending on speed and luck of closeness to things.

I also thought i was bad in math but the devs at anet are even worse than me.
4 hours per day to grind a map all four days long is not enough to get selfless potion

max profit:
(4days* 15 event token + 4days*20 daily token)* 3 areas= 420 token in 4hours (incl 30 min cd with no event on it )
still need 30 token = another 3hrs grind
4 days= 96hrs
4hours for daily= 12hours + 3hours extra grind (but fairly you can sleep all half hour^^)
15 hours ot of 96 hours only for one of the potion . seems fair
this is really the way you intented it? O.o
and i guess there is only 1% of players that do this event cause its so well designed, for all others this mindless grind would be only worth is it would be worthwhile
That gold is wayyyy to much for the newest members of our game. Presumably one of the reasons they put this event in the 15-25 level maps is do the new f2p players, who are reaching that level now, can participate in this mass event. Most of those people probably have only a few silver. Even one gold is way too high and many of those rewards require10 gold. That’s dangling the rewards in front of them, but out of reach. It’s not a good way to do it.

to be fair, I had a hard time even doing anything in the forum when the event first started, so even if they wanted to post here first, the lag made it super hard and must be why they went to the other sources first, to get the news out they know.

This has NOTHING to do with them responding to the fact that the event is severely bugged and preventing people from getting rewarded for participating.
They’ve acknowledged this on twitter and on reddit but NOT on their own official forums, it’s actually quite sad.

Sorry but as many said before its not bad rng you only hear about some few got good loot (or only ping chat codes!) and persuade by yourself that you have an bad luck account and the system is broken
try to create a medium asura and you will find excactly one (ugly) shoe set (including armor sets from gem shop) where the toes dont clip . even at 2 of 3 cultural the toes are clipping out of the shoe.
i guess your pain is not to ask for skins , its only about now what stats people have equiped to kick them . i am right?
btw anet should also introduce a tool that everyone can see ( not only your friends via api) how much money you have in your vault and what stuff at your bank
You can have your #3, it’s called combat mode.
And you see your ping in options.
It’s true, Immersive Combat Mode is there but it seems silly that I have to rely on third-party tools instead of it being an actual in-game feature though.

Oh, I don’t doubt that they would be kind enough to do that, but it’s a pain for me to have to ask and it’s an even bigger pain for them to ping everything. Furthermore, they may be away then or busy.
I hope this will not be implemented, mostly due to the abuse which this can/will cause (reading stats and kicking in dungeon paths/ lfg setup’s and so on…)
Suggestions to this point have been made over and over again and dismised by the community, Asking for just the exterior skin names will get you the name and it will enhance social speak in the game. If you really need to know what people are wearing fior group content use PING as add-on in LFG,
You can ping the individual traits now whichis a good step up from before, but most people still default to build editors to do so. I agree on this one, would like a build ping or link / build save/ build load
I have no problems with the camera at all, but I have gotten used to all quirks.
Ping is Shift+click on mini map and you can mark the normal map, shift will also place location names in chat box, shift and move will allow fro drawing on the mini map. seen by opthers and most often ignored. network Ping is located under F11 it will show you actual return times from A-Net (as stated by A-Net)

1. Just make it to where you can’t check the persons gear during PvP/dungeons/all applicable modes. And in any case, if they’re really kitteny enough to kick you because you have bad gear, well they’re probably the wrong group to be playing with anyway.

This list is some things that, I feel, would really benefit GW2 but should also be very easy to put in.
1. A way to, in PvE, be able to see what a player is using for a weapon and wearing as armor plus show what the miniature or outfit they’re using is.
2. In the original GW, there was a really easy way to share builds quickly in chat. But now, not anymore. Would be awesome to see again.
3. An option in the menu to switch the camera to a locked behind view mode. Basically, when enabled, the right button held down would then be how the camera operates and the cursor would then be locked to the middle of the screen and hidden. Holding down the right mouse button puts the camera back how it was. Or perhaps make this a key to toggle this on and off.
4. A small ping indicator somewhere.
5. An option in the menu to disable character voices during any dancing emotes. It seems a very small and particular thing but I find I really am not fond at all of the little cheesy whees and hums and stuff your character does during a dance. :P
I may add more later but that’s I can think of for now.

So i was doing my personal story mission, when Trahearne summons something like 4 flesh golems and 3 shadow beasts.
So if he is actually a necromancer, does that mean hes been playing the HoT beta for 3 years? cause he still has a greatsword.

The reason I suspected that, I got an ascended item as a drop and I was so WOOOW about it, that I linked my drop in the map and many said " gratz, good, hurray"… but also many said " get out from the map, you took what you wanted…" etc.. so I suspected that it may had to do with it. All started after that.

cause sometimes i cant join lfg after two unsuccessful teq taxies and have to restart my game exe ( or it remains for up to 1hrs this status) other times i can try 8 teq/sw taxies and after that cant join for about 2 min and than it works again

I think it is not possible to identify this as a bug and it is up to the devs to do so.
The lock is part of the anti spam meassures. We don’t know how they work and what sets it off. I have good reasons (personal observation) they are tied together. So being muted in map cause you spammed too much also influences the timeout between mails you can sent, or how fast you can use the LFG.
Also, any observations are not constant. I believe that arenanet is actively changing the systems, depending on what is going on (if there is much activity of goldsellers, measures are increased and if the activity drops down, it is decreased again).
Never the less, it is annoying. If it can be fixed in such way that we don’t have to suffer from it and the goldspammers can’t misuse it, I’m happy.
lol same with dungeon bugs there are also no bugs and only there when the players have bad behaviour before right?

Guys (reads Zaron), just because GW2 is not “That other game”, it doesn’t mean it cannot learn from “That other game”. I mean, I’m sure you’ve learned by now that GW2 is also adding raiding, which also happens to be in “That other game”, so let’s please not give the OP a hard time and pretend as if it’s somehow blasphemy for GW2 to be inspired by ideas used in other games. It seems rather childish to dismiss an idea, simply because of its source of inspiration.
I honestly don’t think level freezing is a bad idea personally. I don’t think it’s completely necessary either, of course, because it is faster to earn gold at level 80 and buy the mats than it is to farm the mats, even at the appropriate level, but even still, it’s not like it would hurt for those who want an alternative.
im also not against cause linen etc will crash to hell and that would be fineevil laugh
