yep…
Adjust damage values for burst skills, and add a passive:
Using a burst skill causes Deep Wound, lowering target’s maximum health by 20% for 3 seconds.
Give reasons to use all bursts, balance damage values to burst skills to reflect usage.
w/e, I don’t even care anymore, it is so hard to make suggestions for a class noone gives a kitten about….including devs lol
Warframe (F2P TPS on Steam) just released an update, with what should be our guild halls!
You fund a guild halls (like you did with a celestial sigil) but you can expand and do other things with it! Add hallways, more rooms, dueling arena, crafting things, etc. etc.
Y U NO DO!
I remember how long it took when running a memtest and chkdsk a long time ago, I will have to try that when I can leave my computer idle.
I have MSI Afterburner, it can monitor temps, but I do not overclock my system, it is too problematic for this rig
temps are fine, under 40 idle, under 80 stressed.
Drivers are up to date, Nvidia, done several clean installs, don’t normally opt for beta drivers either.
I notice you are not on fire….QUIT IT!

Well played Chrono, well played.
I need to know where I can still reach you, Kendo, and Luther. Have some shenanigans like the old days.
We still have our own mumble we use, but if we WvW (which we frequently do) we tend to converse with our fellow SFers, even though alot of them are now scrub fractalers! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
for some reason over the past 2 days, I have been getting a BSOD in random scenarios (somtimes in sPvP, sometimes in WvW, sometimes just when I turn around quickly in LA)

What server are you on sir, as I would like to expose you all for the noobs….
(Wait what is that? They’re on OUR server?!)
Well then, kindly state your guild so that I might….

Sidebar: Come to SF we like to have funz!

Well if it is any consolation, we were not the ones to build the golems, some troll used all of our keep supply to build a ton of them, so we felt like burning them :P
I may not be top 1, but I am top 150 (pre-EotN) And I personally think that this Capture point system is so inferior to an ACTUAL team based/objective based game mode.
As someone before me said, if we compare this to a successful eSport (LoL) and compare it to Guild Wars 1 GvG, you can see that, in fact, they are very similar.
Both teams have a primary objective (GW: Guild Lord, LoL: Nexus)
Both teams have obstacles they need to get past to reach that objective (LoL: Towers, GW: NPCs / Gates)
Both teams have times when they team fight, and times when they split (GW: Gank routes, LoL: Gank routes)
Both teams have secondary objectives (GW: Flag Stand [aids entire team], LoL: Dragon/Baron [aids entireteam])
The main problem with capture points is that it DOES NOT promote team play, it promotes communication, but NOT team play. Team play is the cohesion of all players to overcome their obstacles, not having them constantly seperated doing their own thing.
This works in LoL because of minions and bushes, GW has nothing to aid a lone player against a lone player, it is whoever has the better 1v1 build, or bunker build, wins.
Please bring back GvG ;_;

Are these still available in the Black Lion Chests? The vendors still exist, but before I go dishing out some cash for keys, I would like confirmation they are in fact, still obtainable.
This is true, but if that was the case they could definitely take the page from nearly any RTS game that can have the same principle, the only real difference is that more is in the players hands (building defenses etc.)
I am thinking of starting a youtube GW2 immersion project, taking tours around various PvE zones without the use of waypoints and completely without the UI.
I am looking for some primary feedback to what people would actually watch in this format.
No commentary? Dual Commentary? Solo commentary? Quick looks? Full playthroughs?
I may try the flagship project with dual commentary, slightly RP-ish (almost Skyrim-esque) doing a round-about run through the various maps.
Opinions are welcome, but try to keep them civil
I do alot of WvW, and I do alot of exploring, one thing I have noticed is that when exploring in PvE, I think “how would this play out if this were a PvP map?”
And certain maps definitely stand out more than others in this respect.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/d/df/Timberline_Falls_map.jpg
This is a good example, while going for 100% completion I noticed how many nooks, crannies, canyons, overlooks, and just the entire general layout of the map was so much more complex and well designed than the current WvW maps.
It almost feels as if the open fields in WvW were designed to actually hold more than what we have now, player build outposts, structures etc. that maybe never ended up in the iteration process. but in the end just because void large open spaces instead.
These PvE maps on the other hand are complex enough to lower the amount of “zerging” that takes place, but still has enough main path ways to have them, and enough smaller areas to promote small squad tactics and roaming.
This probably sounds crazy, and it may just be that, but I kinda wish Anet would open their minds to a Test Server so they can put some of the community suggestions, or their own internal tests to the public to test, even if it fails, I would love to see how a map like this would work in a Server v Server setup (only 1v1, not the current 1v1v1, though that may work for some maps.)
And with the variety of maps and areas available in PvE, this would instantly create a massive amount of variety for the playerbase.
A small part of me actually kinda wished that WvW was actually in fact the PvE world, but with open player vs player combat between servers, competing over events, waypoints, locations, etc.
Alot of people will naysay, but I wouldn’t mind a little more variety within WvW, and not only that have variety when changing tiers in WvW. So this is the suggestion I propose:
Currently we have 2 maps for WvW (Borderlands and EB) the addition of 1 new map would be a welcome change to the variety of WvW play, and perhaps later on in development, each borderlands could have its own unique style as well.
But this is not some standard new map! This would be a map designed as a server v server map (1v1 instead of 1v1v1)
The smaller population numbers means that the design of the map can promote more small group and “stealth” based tactics, with perhaps denser forests, trenches, canyons, tunnels, and other more complex and condensed structures and landscapes to promote less zerging (more choke points would = less zerging on these types of maps)
This new map would be in rotation of tiers that are of an odd number (1,3,5,7,9,etc.)
This would let the Tier 1 servers duke it out for full on supremacy in WvW, 1v1, mano v mano, the top dogs would be in constant battle, and if they drop down a tier as the loser, the server who was victorious in Tier 2 would be the new contender to take the title of WvW leader.
This would (hopefully) add an even more competetive nature to the Tier system, where servers would be trying to climb the ladder to reach this status, and a servers mettle will truly be tested when they progress into one of the 1v1 based WvW maps.
And with the more competitive nature, another welcome addition to the current WvW system is an actual REWARD for winning your division in 1st place, or a reward for progressing into a higher bracket! (no i don’t know what types of reward, but w/e)
They have the option to post an update or not post an update, I am thinking since they do not bother to actually update anyone here, that they already know they have lost the trust of a good chunk of their community with their slack response times to basic bug fixes.
I prefered the enemies in GW1 that had nearly full skill bars, and fought in “packs”, but that was because GW1 it was more like a team v team encounter everytime, rather than actually feel like solo play.
That was much more engaging for me than simply swinging my sword, then swinging my sword again….hate to say, I actually think you can compare the blandness of enemies to games like early-game WoW and Aion
As of right now, IoJ is still busy rifing DH’s coat tails and cherry picking in our territory instead of theirs…good show IoJ!
SF has no issue starting and opening Balth, you need people, that is what Orr is about, and the “morale” is actually the HP of the NPCs combined.
So if they die the morale goes down, they can be protected, and the enemies can be DPSed down before they even hit the NPCs, and healing blast combo fields work wonders.
If they are anything like the Super Adventure Box skins, or the Molten Alliance ones, then yes, you can bank them.
Here is the golem vs grub battle we has last night, to whomever came to ruin our fun!

Hey SF lay off our grub! Thats for the after zerg party!
Been on the Eternal Battle grounds for 8 hours with a short break in our borderlands to help out, but we where out manned for almost the whole day. Dark Haven, I will have to say you got people, and they are very responsive too attacks and everything. Even with AC’s and siege you just roll on over us and turn our small army into badges.
As for SF, you guys can stay in your corner of EB and we will stay in ours =P. At around 1:15 you brought that huge zerg around our keep and I though you where going to hit us… Well good battles all around and just wished we had a bit more people. Tried to keep our points up for our Oceanatics and Ms. Starkk.
I recorded it, I will put a video tomorrow ;P
They game is far from ruined, but it does need work, noone can deny that.
This is more of a learning experience for Anet to try and make an esport from a MMO pvp format.
I think they need to try out some new game types, and different methods for how they design some maps, to find the right audience, and find that right mixture that people can be competitive in.
for an Esport to work, you only need 1 map, and 1 game mode to work, but they have to be the right ones. Currently I don’t think we have either, but they are working towards it.
not sure where else to put this, the issue only occurs when I am playing GW2, and seems to have amplified since the last patch.
I used to get this issue, then it went away, now its back, but it is a very strange issue to have.
Basically while playing GW2 (i have monitored my internet usage while not playing GW2, and this issue does not occur) my internet will suddenly die, then reconnect (much faster after closing the game, following the connection error and crash, closing the black screen, moments later my internet will kick back on like nothing happened)
My router shows no issues, all connections lit, and it isn’t even down long enough for the auto-matic restart to kick in.
Maybe i am just unlucky when playing GW2,
I looked for the issue, and there was a thread quite a while ago about how it floods a router with sessions, and thought that sounded somewhat like what is happening.
I have a silly question.
Stupid me used the ticket to get the light version for my ele. But after several hours thought it would of been more suitable for my war…Any chance of changing them from light to heavy??
There isn’t currently, but here is hoping they allow all character on the account to get them somehow.
This is much more prevalent in the Borderlands maps, but i think there needs to be less “No Mans Land” (open space) around the non-combat focused areas of the map. And more complex terrain design to aid in ambushes, and “behind-enemy lines” types of small group play.
As it stands the large open spaces simply promote zerging, if you try and roam with a small group, and get spotted, it could go very wrong very fast, and with the areas having nothing to use as cover, you get spotted very easily.
Tunnels, Buildings, Canyons, Walls, Dense forests could all aid in helping small groups get around the maps without getting stomped by a random zerg because someone spotted them in the distance.
Replace out of the way Veteran/Champions with new Named mobs with a special ability or 2, increase rewards from their deaths and add a new Bounty system (similar to GW1)
Bounty System: Each major city (inc LA) will have a bounty board, which contains 3 bounties (changes daily) these mobs are out of the way Veteran/Champion creatures all across Tyria which will now be Bounty Enemies (similar to rare-spawns), with unique names and some stronger abilities.
Add some little reward (ex: War In Kryta style system) and it will add a new layer to world exploration to those who are leveling, and new challenges to those who are 80 and have been everywhere.
I don’t see why they don’t just make these types of rewards like the HoM stuff, where you can get the skins as many times as you want, on all of your characters, but it is limited to your account, so it is still an achievement
fix 1 thing, break another lol, these are in need of fixing though, asap
I do like the dialogue in the F&F Dungeon at least, as long as they go the humour route, then I am ok with cheese, but there should still be a more complex and richer story that is meant to be the MAIN story -.-
I use a Longbow / GS combo, If you want high single-target damage: Rifle, but even though LB looks like a condition weapon, it is actually more of a AoE burst weapon, very effective in WvW and absolutely shines when defending and attacking walls/gates
The Reason for the GS is that is offers way too much to a warrior to pass up, it gives you really easy high-damage adrenaline gain, as well as alot of escapability with 3 and 5
in some way, modified perhaps, make use of the content by adding it to the Fractals, perhaps remove exclusive loot etc. that would have dropped during the event, but keep the actual content to play through.
very strange issue, moving does fix the issue, but it is annoying to say the least.
I need to check with other classes, but I can confirm this with warrior weaponry.
At certain areas of walls (I believe it may be linked to where siege can be built/upgraded)
It COMPLETELY impedes skill usage, at first I thought it may be a LoS bug, but it prevents the majority of skill on my bar from being used (including heals, signets, elite, etc. etc.)
This does not affect stances, and shouts, only skills that require some kind of activation timer.
I can create a brief video showing some of the locations this is happening if needed.
This is how it was done in GW1, and it did a good job of it too.
We always THOUGHT we were the hero, but at every turn, the people we were helping were, in reality, were just manipulating us into achieving their goals.
This time (GW2) we have 1 goal, 1 mind, and everything focusing purely on that, the dragons. There are no twists and turns, its just step 1: start your journey to fight dragon, final step: end your journey to fight dragon. You knew how the story would end, before you even started it…this is a bad idea (imo)
The race specific and order specific story arcs were the best of the story, but they seem so completely disconnected from the actual “dragon story” that the entire thing just feels tacked on.
Hopefully in the future, we can start getting a REAL story involved in the game, a story where things don’t go as planned, where everything doesn’t FEEL scripted. Where the people we are helping aren’t as friendly as we thought, the places we are going aren’t what they seem, and most importantly:
The people we become are not so black and white. Where our choices actually make a difference and sometimes they are not for the better.
For anyone that doesnt know the story behind GW1 (prophecies) I can break it down a little bit, but it is always more complex than what you originally play through…and its long as hell:
1.) You start your journey fighting the evil enemies
2.) Those enemies annihilate your home and people
3.) You flee and seek refuge to the west
4.) Arrogance and ego prevent you from properly reaching your destination (from your own king)
5.) Major Character 1 dies, but you continue on and make new allies with the dwarves
6.) The Dwarves help you travel through to the west, but you must help them fight their enemies….their own race.
7.) You make it west and find the White Mantle fighting the undead, and prove your allegiance to them to gain entry to lion’s arch.
8.) You continue to aid the White Mantle in fighting the undead, as well as gathering the “chosen” who respond to a certain magic (of prophecy) and find the Scepter of Orr
9.) You find out that the White mantle are evil, and sacrificing the “Chosen” to try and prevent the prophecy, as well as seal an ancient gate, so you join a rag-tag group of resistance fighters to stop them
10.) Turns out there was a spy in the resistance and he sold you out to the Mantle.
11.) You give the Scepter of Orr to a Vizier who is supposedly a good guy…right? and he helps you escape from the Mantle
12.) You begin your new adventure towards “ascension” in order to fight the Mantle’s army
13.) After ascension, you find the Prophetic dragon, Glint, who tells more of the tale. And sends you to the Dwarven capital of Droknar’s Forge.
14.) While fighting with the dwarves you discover an ancient evil is allied with (and manipulating) the Mantle, and seek protection against their magic (infusion)
15.) You retake the dwarven lands and are able to travel to the Ring of Fire to fight the mursaat and fulfill the prophecy
16.) The Dwarves and Vizier aid you in assaulting the Mursaat strongholds to stop their….evil, and help you to reach the Door of Komalie
17.) You fight Major Character 1…in undead-ness
17.) You break the seals the Mursaat used to hold the Door of Komalie closed
18.) The Vizier then reveals he is actually the evil Undead Lich (because he died in Orr a long kitten time ago to stop the charr) and has been manipulating you in order to open the door.
19.) Opening the door releases an even greater evil from the Realm of Torment which the Vizier wants to command and destroy all of Tyria with…
20.) You defeat the Lich, using his power to re-seal the Door (i think?)
So ya….tl;dr: You did a lot of stupid stuff, and messed up alot of things, all the while THINKING you are the Hero.

Now they just need to add more than 1 game-mode to solidify the deal for me, this is definitely on the right track.
But going from GW1 where we had GvG (important!), TDM, Flag stands, Node Control, Kill Count, Relic Runs, Ghostly heroes and a massive variety of maps to play on…to a handful of maps and a single game-mode….
I’ll just say variety is the spice of life :p

They still need to add a slider, or widen it further, Anet can defend the “immersion” or whatever stance all they like, but the option SHOULD be there!
And I already know the game can auto-compensate for FoV on the fly
All you have to do is run in windowed and shrink the window vertically and it instantly changes the FoV
Why is it that every time we were trying to retake SM, there would be IoJ on the Walls, and DH in the Halls (rhyming kittens)
We took it anyways…but you 2 in secret meetings or something? o.O
(edited by Zietlogik.6208)
They aren’t bad in PvE, they are bad in sPvP, because other classes simply do things better than them…in every way.
We didn’t always have these numbers, but when we did we made sure they were in superior dolyak form.
awwwwwwww yeah
I run a zerker 10/30/0/10/20 build for LB / GS in pretty much every setting.
It’s not that we need more events, there are a lot of them. Most events only happen when a player talks with a certain NPC or Some events “just happen” but most of the events need you to trigger them.
By giving some events a Heart icon, the game made it seem like events are just there, and that the player doesn’t cause events to happen.
That’s wrong, the player can and should cause events to happen.Pay attention to NPCs, even if they don’t try to catch your attention sometimes they give you an event.
Not all of them have an orange ball over their head.
I haven’t played the game in quite a few months, so I’ll let someone else give some tips on how to trigger events.
I have 4 80s already, I know how to trigger events. I am saying, through experience, that is not the case.
I just created a brand new ele, leveled it to 8 in Queensdale, and encounted a single event, one, (defending the guard that heads into the centuars).
There simply don’t seem to be enough, and I disagree that players should be the ones to mainly start events, they wanted the world to feel “alive” but having a bunch of player started events are literally just tasking a step back towards exclamation points…they may as well be.
There just needs to be things going on, the density isn’t right, and the fact that players are now timing/farming events means the lack of variety is even more apparent than before.
The starter areas, and the level cap areas should be the ones packed with the events, while the ones in between should provide a consistent and enjoyable leveling experience.
It is hard to teach players about events properly when the first thing they are subject to in the post-intro is hearts (mainly)
I’ve made many alts, and seem to run into the issue every time. If you want players to actively be involved in events rather than “heart hopping” then they need to actually HAPPEN.
When I create an alt I am usually heart hopping and not actually encountering any events until i’m done 4-5 hearts.
The Hearts are suppose to be “hot spots” for events (or so i’ve heard) but this is rarely ever the case.
The introduction experience a player should get when entering the persistent world, is that events are an integral part of their experience, if there are no events, they will never get that impression.
So it would be doubly important to have a decent concentration of varied events in the lvl 2-7 range to give that impression.
bump? -and adding around 15 characters or more-
If I sent someone a free weekend code from the previous free weekend, but they did not make an account, is that key still active, and can they use it for this free weekend?
They should add some scavenger hunt type of things to rare crafting recipes tbh, they can have it actually use a similar item to the charr event item, so it gives you a reason to revisit some zones.
new crafting recipe for cooks…..do it~!
we need a bit more humour in the game here and there
It’s a joke don’t get all upity!
Wait wait wait….so they added an item into the gem store that actively HELPS BOTS?!
I see the teleporting node mining bots all the time….this would just mean the bots can make more gold!….to sell!
