Unfortunately 7 people already did report him for harassment as their is no report function for exploitation or being a douch bag and troll. Guess what nothing happened! No big surprise their! So that is why i decided to bring this to the forums where maybe a CM could see this.
Tell me what sounds like an easier thing to do
1. Tell every person who owns a custom arena to ban this person and everytime a new one is made immediately tell that person.
OR
2. Anet Bans him for exploitation/harassment/trolling.

Normally when they look into reports for harassment, the first thing they will look at is the chat logs…if he is just jumping into duels etc. he won’t get banned for harassment.

Dueling and duel servers are not subject to the rules in place, because they are player driven. It may be annoying, but what he is doing there isn’t against anyone’s rules except the server owner.

The map exploitation is the thing you should be focusing on when reporting, not the fact that he is being annoying. If I was a dev and simply saw “this guy was ruining our duelz!11” then it would be non-existent on my priority list. Report the exploit, not the annoyance.

And calling a player out by name is against the forum rules, as well as naming your characters around pop-culture or various other and can result in a negative mark on your own account if you continue to do so. This is a matter that the members of anet can handle, not us, this forum is mainly for us – the players. So either in-game report, or if they have the option, PM.

Really? Than you have not been looking for a long time since dusk and dawn have been over 100 gold since September. They are about 600-700 now. Most are between 200-500.

Twilight and Sunrise are the super shiny ones everyone seems to want to get a hold of, so it makes sense why them in particular are more expensive, the market is set by people so…the more people want something, the more it will be.

Why do you need 300 gold?

Maybe you should reread the OP, mostly the part where he says “to get my precursor”.

After seeing it got nerfed…
I just, I’ve never felt so demotivated in my life.
I can’t make any gold now, this, was my chance, my actual chance!
Something I could do!
I can’t flip the market, I have TRIED… god I have tried!

Sell some T6 mats, farm some champs, play the game….if you get demotivated because they stopped you from repeating a single thing over and over and over and over and over and over….well I’m sorry, that is a sad state you are in.

And we all know Precursors should be so kitten easy to get, I mean, they may as well just mail them to us each month right?

I surely hope THIS isn’t what Anet is catering to, this type of entitlement, this type of gamer.

I agree with you there.

I also agree. The game would have been so much better with no trait tree and a pool of skills for each weapon from which players could choose.

Pooling all the 5/15/25 traits into 3 buckets from which you could choose would be a good first step towards giving players more meaningful build choices. Another obvious candidate for improvement would be allowing players to equip another utility in the elite slot as a lot of classes have really crappy elites and/or elites that don’t fit into builds at all.

Instead of being so conservative with changes at this point I’d say it would benefit the game a lot more if bolder changes and balance changes were made more regularly because let’s face it: the ultra slow approach is still producing huge metagame changes and tons of bugs/imbalances are slipping through.

So basically….GW1, agreed, that would be a great step in the right direction.

I wish that the PvE maps could get crashed for WvW. I’d love to win an alliance with the centaurs and then come crashing down upon Queensdale There are so many interesting buildings and geographical obstacles it would make for great battles. I know it would never happen but I just wish there was some way to bridge the divide between the three game modes to make them feel more alive.

I would prefer the maps over the mobs. Take Kessexm or Timberline Falls and turn em into WvW/PvP zone….would be kitten

Random mobs? You mean the crap that gets me in combat by strolling in my symbol of switness or the crap that randomly walks into our AoE to rally our kills?
WvW doesn’t need random mobs, they’re just an annoyance. It’s a PvP-mode. If people want to go kill raports there’s an entire game mode committed to it. If people wanna kill stuff in WvW it should be other players or maybe guards, doors and lords.

I think he means to remove the random mobs. And replace this with guard out posts and stuff like that. He could have worded it a bit better though, so I see why your confused. aka, less random mobs and more WvW stuff.

Uhh, no …. he’s suggesting the addition of a bunch of PvE:

for the NW/NE areas yes…kinda…they already have a ton of mobs that respawn quickly, changing it to a legendary means you need less mobs, and no respawns. As for the random mobs part, everyone seems to have misread it….

and no you cannot put words into my mouth claiming what I did and did not say as your own representation. Fill in areas full of random mobs = the areas are currently full of random mobs…fill them with watchposts etc.

Im not sure if people are just trolling, or really see things so tunnel visioned and completely incapable of discerning the difference….please read and think of possible things it may be taken…not sure the first one that pops into your head. Some of the people here make my head hurt -.-

I am from sorrows furnace….when Grenth’s footprint was added to GW1…that was an o shi- moment.

If we start seeing what feel like new areas to explore PLUS the aspect of WvW thrown in….that just blows my mind. I would love to revisit what was the original Sorrows Furnace, and defend it like we were the stone summit -.-


On a side note, if anyone has ever played Shattered Galaxy (Pseudo RTSMMO) I loves the map, control and territory system they use (Planetside 2 has a similar feel)

Each territory had several capture points and was its own map, then there was multiple planets each with their own texture set and theme.

Replace the Tamini with something interesting
Replace the Skritt with something more interesting
Replace the lake with something more interesting

OR

Make the Tamini and Skritt area mini-dungeons, each with their own jumping puzzle for completing it. Turn the pitiful Tamini camp into an actual stronghold/Skritt area into a full cave system, add a champion/legendary, make it like an actual DE, when you defeat him/finish the event, they are actual on your SIDE, and send more than simply 4 mobs that insta-die to guards.

Give incentive for players to take and hold these areas. These 3 locations are simply laughable in their current state, and not even worth the effort of walking into.

Perhaps make them towers/keeps/NEW type of location that the basic guards get replaced with the mob area (Tamini/Quaggan/Skritt)

Each of these mob types have their own custom sets of skills that can change the way the battle take place at these areas.

Oh….and how about some new texture sets? Snow/Green is nice and all….but cmon now these are the mists! they can take any shape! Maybe one UW themed, or FoW themed, or Charr home-land themed (current is like Shiverpeaks), Jungle themed etc. etc.

And lastly, fill in the vast open spaces full of random mobs (raptors, rams, etc.) and maybe put some small outposts, or watch towers, or settlements.

I run these runes, but a different build…I enjoy never losing to thieves now. Eles, Thieves and any other “spammy” class just cause themselves to explode when you get the stacks on them.

3) Update WvW to reduce the effectiveness of siege and to discourage so much zerging. (Don’t know how to do this though).

In all honestly that almost seems like a backwards request. In order to successfully deploy and maintain siege it requires teamwork, and even though it can potentially be “zerg-like” it isnt a straight up PvDoor zerg. If anything I would prefer it have more emphasis on the siege itself and less on the group deploying it (the almighty zerg).

1. More challenging content. The Gauntlet was a good refreshment from face-rolling bosses in most dungeons.

2. DE’s to be more substantial, and more rewarding. As they are, most don’t change much of the environment; spare some enemies holding a town, or a tower not standing at that moment. The rewards are pretty small too, so I don’t have much interest in completing them unless they’re easy.

3. Better dungeon boss mechanics. Most are just hack&slash; tank&spank, etc.
The temp Aetherblade dungeon mechanics were nice, and I’m sure the Molten Alliance dungeon had some cool mechanics as well. (Tower was broken from F&F part 3 through the middle of Southsun; ended up not playing again until a week into Dragon Bash)

Fully agree, the Gauntlet was a very nice addition, not designed for every player and their grandma, but unfortunately they should not have built it right above a mass PvE farmfest directly below them (frame lag, skill lag, the camera angles are horrible) It was a good start though. And it is unfortunate you missed the F&F dungeon, this was the most enjoyable dungeon to date I have played.

3 Encourage teamwork in some way. In ex., like they did in GW1 with team builds.

This seems to be their biggest challenge, and the largest disappointment from any player coming from GW1 to GW2, the emphasis on teamwork, teamplay and a cohesive team build made all the difference in GW1, and allowed you to go from content to content progressing in difficulty without it relying purely on you alone. Their dungeons were supposed to be “team based content” but it is anything but that, it is just a 5-man tank n spank mini-zerg

What are your top 3 additions or subtractions from the game that would change it for you?

I am an Explorer and a PvPer, I enjoy finding areas I have never seen before, and love the thrill of the chase and the hunt when in a PvP environment. These are my vices in GW2.

Top 3:

1.) – Improve the complexity of the WvW environment. Adding tunnels, side paths “gank routes” and various other structures and settlements to fill in the massive empty spaces that plague the current map systems. Canyons, guard towers, entrenchments, dense forests, and more verticality….oh and remove food buffs

Or perhaps test out some PvE maps as WvW maps instead, these are far more in-depth and well created, would promote small unit tactics, and simply be more entertaining to traverse. (Kessex and Timberline are amazingly built maps….these would be insane as a WvW environment!)

2.) – A competitive quarantined area for teams of 5-10 (perhaps brackets for each one? 5v5, 6v6, 7v7, etc.) with a solid singular team-based objective, with a singular secondary objective…..basically GvG….bring back GvG.

3.) Events, or other anomalies that alter the game world over a long period of time. The current events are far too “on-the-surface” and have no depth, they put a viel over an area for a few minutes, then the veil is removed to have it become the exact same area once again and the cycle repeats.


We would pleasantly request:

- Better AI for monsters and Bosses with new, interesting and more challenging mechanics.
- More complexity in WvW maps
- More options and fun activities to do WITH friends
- Explorable areas
- More impact within Dynamic Events
- More challenging content overall
- More Combat based challenges and feats of skill
- More jumping puzzles, and rewards for them
- Proper PvE/PvP skill changes and balance
- Less RNG
- More teamwork oriented content, PvE, PvP and WvW
- New Interesting story telling that has replay value (Story books from GW1? Missions from GW1?)
- Character flexibility (skills, stats, etc.)
- Looking for Group tool
- WvW account bound rewards and ranking
- More guild support and features
- Improves Meta-Event mechanics
- Personal Instance housing and customization
- New objectives for both WvW and sPvP
- Permanent story and content for PvE
- More armor styles
- Randomized puzzles with multiple variations and conclusions (harder to Wiki)
- Longer connecting event chains that have more depth and meaning to them
- Customization for player maps / mini-maps to control POI/Hearts/Various other markers to disable/enable.

YOU are incapable, simple. That isn’t the games fault, and you need to realize this. You would not be coming here time and time again complaining about the same thing that we have told you how to counter (whaa whaaa its random! ur all lucky!) over and over and still whine….i’m sorry, its true.

I have given all the advice I can, but it seems you are simply hell bent on ignoring any rationality behind the ability to complete this.

It is possible, it is hard, it is challenging, there are just alot of annoying bits to the fight (camera for example…)if you actually re-read my first response, I agree with alot of your points, but you went into rage, singled out some bits that you just wanted to complain about on the forums, and seemingly ignored the rest.

The patterns are there, the ability to complete it is there, and with some practice it will all come together.

I can’t even begin to imagine how jaded people would be, if open forums to complain existed back when this type of difficulty and challenge was a staple to basic “end-game” design and developers caved to the feedback.

Regardless, I don’t care about the mini, or the achievement. I simply like to complete things, and if I start something, I intend to finish it regardless of how many tries it takes, because it makes the victory all the more sweeter…that is just the type of gamer I am.

This type of content is for a certain type of gamer, and I am actually glad that Anet is appealing to a wider audience with it now (similar to Halloween Clocktower). If you are not that type of gamer then this will not be something you will enjoy doing even if you complete it. You are not being forced to do this, you don’t need that mini to survive, or those few achievement points to continue playing the game. This is content you can choose not to participate in.

-not about RNG at all o.O

- The red circles arent really hard to see, camera angles make it harder, but the circles themselves aren’t an issue

- The adds stand still for a few seconds after they spawn, like I said, W,A,S,Ds

- The crystals have nothing to do with luck….they spawn when the enemy hits the white field…that is the opposite of luck, you are controlling its spawn o.o

- 6 accounts? i’m sure you mean classes…and I’ve done the same, this has nothing to do with anything, it sounds like an excuse.

- You don’t have to change the graphics, it just removes that effect, it is still possible with the effect. It is just like the drunk effect in GW1, it is simply handled by the post-processing. Now you just sound angry, calm down and think about what you are saying before you hit the enter key.

- Phase 2 has a pattern, it is North/South, then West/East in an hourglass shape….you literally just have to run in a circle around the arena to avoid it. And Phase 1 is slow enough and gives you the safe-zone that it shouldn’t be an issue.

- The adds again, move pretty slow, get destroyed by the white field (still appearing btw) and the cripples are annoying…but if you know the pattern, even with cripple you can avoid it, and even mitigate by using ranged.

You think it is poorly designed because you are simply adding your personal opinions, like many others, these are suggestions, but you are treating them as if they are requirements. You simply bash the creators for making something you haven’t mastered yet, this is not the way to go about it….if it was actual impossible that would be a different matter.

Please proof-read your messages and try to avoid the callouts and blatant bias trying to defend your claims. I am telling you how you can try and finish this, but you are taking it the wrong way and refusing to adapt.

The challenge in the battle is that it will punish panicking and punish mistakes, you have to focus and know what you are doing, or else a mistake will end you….that is the nature of a challenge.

If anything practical, the orbs should be removed for Phase 2….that I will also agree with (if it were on your list to begin with)

the difference between solo and team

Take your random 5 vs a coordinated group of 5 on voip….you will quickly see the difference.

so u mean its harder to win with pugs so the solo should get a higher reward then teamarena?

No and yes…but if you are fixated on the reward aspect, you can get alot more reward from being a proper team (even though the rewards are less) because a proper team can win a match faster, more often, and simply roll through competition until they are matched with an equal opponent….they can pretty much farm Team Arenas is what it comes down to, it happened in GW1 as well unfortunately.

1. the 1 shot kill aoe cone, take one of the 0’s off the 100k hits, that way it won’t kill everybody but only the zerkiest of the zerk.

Naw, this is fine, part of the challenge is not instantly burning your dodges/escapes at the first sign of trouble….you just need to stay focused and it won’t actually hit you.

2. the same 1 shot aoe, change the attack to shoot upwards instead of crashing down on the player this will make it easier for everybody to see the attack since a cone of black blobs will appear at their feat instead of hard to see red circles.

This isn’t a bad idea, I never actually looked for the attack animation, just the red circles when dodging, it may as well not even have graphics since you don’t see it until its crashed down.

3. the the 1 shot adds who’s damage doesn’t show up in the combat log, change them to a stun or daze when they hit you with the same damage as her auto attack, and when they do they destroy the light crystal if you’re carrying it, maybe give a random condition like weakness, or vulnerability.

They move insanely slow….if you let these things kill you then you need to learn your basic W,A,S,D’s

4. make the arena bigger, or open it up, there’s plenty of space up their for those domes to extend in size.

Completely agree, most of the time the fight wasn’t even the most frustrating part, it was the fact that the camera was adamant on crawling into my anus while im in combat -.-

5. that blinding blur….take it out and make it a gambit, its stupid to be instagibbed because you’re blinded, if you really wanna make the fight harder than it already is just add in random condition blinds that won’t hide her attacks.

Go into your GFX options and turn off Post-Processing…problem solved.

6. the light crystals, change them to orbs like many of the previous fights before her, so you can grab them on the go and not have to stop to pickup and throw, god forbid if you have 2 or more.

I don’t think this needs changing, it is about timing.

7. make it so the crystals last for more than 20 seconds, or don’t disappear in your hands.

The entire arena is timed, if people need that much time to grab and throw these….they won’t make it to the end anyways.

8. instanced, instanced, instanced. nothing makes a rage inducing fight worse than culling and lag because there’s a gigantic farm right below in rendering distance.

Was probably the worst choice to make these right about the giant 800 mob farming zone right underneath, Perhaps move the domes to the layer that noone ever goes to (the portals that take you to the outer ring 1/2 way down the pit)

9. make it so she’s not such a mad brah when you break her EZ mode shield, or slow down the add spawn rate in the second phase.

Once you figure out the AoE pattern, she barely even scratches you…seriously

10. have the cone of 1 shot death go around in a preset pattern and not randomly going after you or not going after you, and have them change directions every time you hit her with a light crystal.

The last place it hits is a safe zone….keep that in mind, and phase 2 is a set pattern soooo…not in need of changing

11. up the time limit to at least 5 minutes or higher than what it already is.

this induces tension, it is there for that reason and that reason alone, it loses that reason when it becomes less of a factor. These types of things have been around since old school NES games.

12. make it so in the second phase the 2 cones of 1 shot can’t hit you if you stand in the middle where she was, but don’t put it in the patch notes if you do, and put stability on her if you think people can abuse that and stunlock her to death. or have it so her adds go to her in the second phase and reward boons and in return their weaker. or add a dark circle there that puts vulnerability or random conditions on you if you stand in it to long.

Second phase is fine, learn the pattern.

13. make it so every form of damage mitigation works instead of only blocks.

No real input for me on this one, it seems like its either a 1-shot or not…so not sure how this would change anything….unless you want it to make it easier, not needed.

I use my LB in PvE, sPvP, WvW and even tPvP….Love the kitten thing! and usually get interesting responses when I’m done stomping someone (or 3)

Just downed some guy in WvW/PvP but his friend shows up? Throw a fire field on the downed guy, prevent him from self ressing, prevent his friend from ressing him, and all the while buffing yourself and dealing considerable damage. Play your cards right and you can put this onto multitudes of downed players to secure their demise….works globally

But if you are new to PvP you should know something, Rank means nothing….it is as farmable as gold in PvE, it doesn’t prove a players skill, it simply shows the amount of time they have spent in Hot-joins.

I always laugh when someone tries to call another a noob and then points out that they have a lower rank than them, most of the time the complainer is the one who cannot adapt to the situations.

Hotjoins is fine for learning the maps, then head into Tourny if you feel confident in your actual abilities in controlling your class.

I am only rank 28 (750 for Solo Q Leaderboards), but that is because the time it takes to get into tourny matches and the fact that you don’t care about getting personal score in these matches means you get Glory slower…but hey, I could always hop on an alt account and roll some people as a Rank 1 just for lulz too ;p

Get real. Forget Liadri, a good number of the other bosses are too hard already. I’ll never even see Liadri because too many of the other fights are luck-based. When you’re fighting things that ignore the combat tools that work everywhere else in the game, like evading for example, it becomes a frustrating exercise of trial-and-error. ArenaNet, word of advice: players hate it when the game cheats.

I have finished all bosses on a warrior in zerker gear. What are you having trouble with? You could try asking people for advice rather than crying over your mistakes. It is possible, it is not based on luck, and it actually isn’t kittence the mechanics “click”

Eh, the Champion weapons are very much RNG. And after having killed approx 50 champions, I haven’t had a single one drop yet, of course.

You can just buy em off the TP if you wanted. But what the thread is about is more in like in RNG + RNG + RNG.

Use this as an example…imagine if the champ loot bags were a random drop and not 100%…

Just have the dog targetted with a ranged weapon (easiest way to deal damage while looking a different direction)

Watch when the norn goes to throw, and just run there first.

This was one of the bosses I went in blind and beat first try….I thought he was too easy tbh…the glowing red orbs were a dead give away so i just grabbed em and started dealing 30k damage, he was done

That may be true as well, most of the time when this happens I am near the outter wall, and the camera is trying to sneak its way into my anus….making it kinda hard to see whats on the other side of me.

But it was coincidentally right after the animation played out for the darkness falling to the ground, and I was about 1/2 foot out of range of the circle….so still close to it

Geez, finally got this done, took me about 13 tries on warrior….every fight before her took less than 3…that was a challenge, but it is done! it’s over! my nerves are shot! ghahgsahga

When in Phase 2, dont get too close to the wall….the camera will go straight up your kitten and mess you up, stay 1/2 way between mid and the outter wall and just go in a circle, the pattern is an X so if it hits North/South, the nest is West/East, rinse and repeat

Not sure if the actual radius is wrong, or if its he mindkitten ss zerg doing on below, But i continuously get downed by the AoE even though I am outside of its range.

Could be lag, again, due to the massive farming zone anet have created right below an area that requires timing and be latency free (GG there) to properly get through.

But I think it still may be an issue with the circles visual radius, it is perhaps a slight bit smaller than what it really does.

Achievements are quests if you look at them that way. You can go out and beat 100 events for your monthly right now if you want to, OR you can put that to the back of your mind, and play the game. Achievements will come to you if you just play, or you can grind them out like quests, if that’s what you WANT to do.

That simply further proves that these are NOT achievements…they are a lesser form of quest…you can’t say that in other games you can’t finish a quest by doing other quests nearby as well. That just happens, but the way it is delivered in GW2 it is just tacked on.

Yes you can grind or just do the events while doing other things….how is that an achievement? having it handed to you for playing the game is definitely not the way to go. The fact that I can finish my monthly in 2 days (have done it for the past 3 monthlies) accidentally, not grinding, or anything makes it feel pitiful and worthless as a game feature (not the rewards…rewards are nice :P)

They need achievements to be ACTUAL achievements, and have the other things split into their own separate category, with its own separate rewards…maybe have a “Mundane task” panel that gives you bits of copper and stuff for completing them…that is our current achievement system.

We also need the return of “missions” ala GW1, these were all events that told you the lore and story of the game, not your personal story…that is its own thing, we need the story of the WORLD.

I would like to say that the current events are very…uneventful, they don’t tell you anything, they just have you helping the farmhand collect apples and getting kittens out of trees….adding on top of that the “achievements” of doing a bunch of these just feels repulsive, repetitive and boring. You don’t learn anything and you bairly do anything, yet the game and devs want you to do these over and over, more and more, ad nauseum with no real rhyme or reason.

The amount of OP claims have possibly surpassed even the old Ele D/D build debate.

They really haven’t. It’s just the same 6-7 players who come into only our forums saying exactly the same thing over and over in every thread. They don’t post it in sPvP or WvW forums because then they can’t use their argument that warriors are just defending an overpowered build and are all bad players looking to hang on to an overpowered build.

There is no compromise needed because the build is fine as is.

You forgot to say its the same 6-7 players who are willing to lay down facts while taking abuse from 100s of biased warriors like yourself. These ARE called Warrior forums after all, are they not?

The amount of irony in this post is astounding….100s of warriors you say? is this one of those “Facts” you are talking about?

BTW…I don’t run this build, the lack of mobility, slow attack speeds and unreliable nature of mace abilities does not appeal to me.

But then again…out of those 100s of warriors, there have to be a few that know what they are talking about right? I mean, I know those 6-7 must be all-knowing GW2 gods that have the entirety of game-code and mechanics embedded into their minds, and out of the countless possible combinations find that there is no way 100% that this build is unbeatable as it is!

I have followed that thread you started…and it make me think that people with your train of thought will be the reason humanity will devolve as a species….please never breed.

I think I was way too hyped over this game…mainly from the 8 years I played GW1….but nearly every single developement choice they have making has been turning this game into a blob of un-interesting, bland, here today – gone tomorrow, massive mess of “content” and it is truly disappointing.

See, I tried GW1 and while I recognized it was a great game, it didn’t grab me. GW2, on the other hand, really grabs me because it actually feels like a living virtual world, which GW1 didn’t (to me). I suspect the playerbase of GW2 probably intersects with the natural playerbase of GW1 a bit, but GW2 is attracting a whole different type of player who wants something that GW1 couldn’t offer. After all, GW1 is still out there.

Devs generally don’t listen to forums unless there’s a real uproar that betokens players in-game feeling the same way. Nothing that goes on in these forums represents that level of concern from the majority of players who play the game, it’s just griping from the usual suspects.

GW1 didn’t grab me the first time I played it, in fact it took a few months before I even played it again, and it was because a friend was nagging me to try it again….but then for some reason I was stuck in it for the long run, so who knows.

And it seems Devs just don’t listen to the community…regardless of the forum. Some blatantly obvious things just go completely unnoticed, such as the Living Story temporary content…If there was any logical reason for some of these things to be temporary…i dunno

Just because they are part of the story, doesn’t mean they can’t be permanent….alot of things work regardless of its story status, but it will never happen. This content will simply become meaningless to people and anyone who feels the same as myself will simply leave and not even bother with it.

I know they probably listen, and read community comments, but just go ignored. I am honestly starting to think a third-party company who has shares in Anet have their hand in the pot a little more than Anet would like to tell us…leading to such additions such as constant temp content and money gouging through the Gem Store….the Game hasn’t really changed much for the better, temp content doesn’t matter, basic skill fixes here and there (and a ton that we still need but have been here probably since alpha)

I may be wrong…but I don’t actually see this game getting better all that much…they add what they want, take it away from us a month later, and rinse and repeat…and that is it. Nothing notable has changed in terms of sPvP, nothing notable has changed in terms of polishing up WvW (such as the maps..and no…adding new WvW rank garbage isn’t polish), Mid-level PvE zones are basically barren, Orr exists for pretty much just farming, Incredibly stupid mechanics still exist such as blinks, stealths, etc.

It is a game that can be enjoyable, but it is not becoming a better game as time goes on.

And after this recent livestream, the next content is all temporary as well. I don’t think Anet listens to its community very much, and if they do….they simply ignore it.

Gotta add more time-restricted quests/achievements for people to do, and never do again….since they physically won’t be able to.

As for the Achievements though, they need to be more like the bonus parts from the GW1 mission system. Almost like optional tasks, part of a primary task, that increases challenge and reward. Simply a parallel path you can attempt while doing the quest/original task. They shouldn’t be their own independant things.

I didn’t even notice it really until recently, that I am treating the achievements as quests….yep….quests.

You open your Achievement panel and look up the ones you have/want to do just like a quest log. They pile up with every update and need to be done to get certain rewards just like a quest log, and the actual achievements themselves are just like “!” Quests!

These are very cleverly designed exclamation point quests! the only real difference is you don’t need to visit an NPC to have it added to your hero page/quest log, it just does that automatically.

Quest: Convert 200 Quartz Crystals into Charged Quartz! (sounds exciting! oh my!)

Quest: Complete 20 Events while supporting (insert random name here) (I’ll get right on that!)

Quest: Arrive at The Bazaar of the Four Winds by taking a ship from Sanctum Harbor. (whoa now, this one sounds tough!)

If I had listed these to someone who has never played this game before, this would look like the most boring, mundane, run-of-the-mill content. These are just the “living story” ones, but even the base achievements are just “hunt for X area” or “kill a bazillion creatures”

These…are…NOT….achievements! THESE ARE QUESTS! (and boring crappy ones to boot)

Achievements should be a BRANCH off of a quest, not be one itself.

Complete a path of Arah without your party stepping on a corpse.

Win an sPvP match without being defeated and have a score of at least 100.

Complete CoF1 in under 8 minutes! (lololol)

Defeat “Insert specific boss here” without wearing any armor

Capture and defend a single camp in WvW 3 times consecutively. (defend event status completed 3 times)

These types of things are things you can do PARALLEL to the content you are doing….they aren’t the direct cause or result of the content, whereas every new Achievement I see added during the Living World….IS JUST ANOTHER QUEST!

Can someone please give me tips and tricks with this build including rotations? I want to be able to play two classes really well since soloque leaderboard is coming up so I want to start practicing as soon as possible.

Find the area of your brain that stores “rotations” and slice it out, rotations do not exist in PvP, and since you are planning on going into soloque tourny, you need to realize every one of your actions is based on what is currently happening around you. If you focus on a “rotation” you will instinctively follow through on your button presses on mistake and punish yourself against good players.

Those weapons are part of the new champion loot drops which include a bunch of new skins like the one in the picture. Also the rapier.

The Sovereign set is completely different, and available from the vendors inside the Crown Pavilion.
