Welcome to online gaming. Stuff you like will get nerfed. Just the way it is. I don’t like it, you don’t like it, but it’s not going to stop by posting angry threads about it. Try to put emotion aside and explain your point in a logical manner and you’re more likely to get somewhere.
I’ve already explained why the change of Dhuumfire is bad. The reduced damage of Dhuumfire is a totally ok change, understandable. The other change though, only limiting it to Death Shroud is not ok. This will cut down the possible builds with Dhuumfire, as all builds don’t use Death Shroud as a main damage source. Some builds use it for situational occasions.
Someone is a flavour of the month player and is mad his OP Dhuumfire is finally getting changed.
Could you imagine the state of the already OP condition necros when the power-builds are nerfed with crit damage change? Yeah, you have nothing to worry about.
But this sounds vaguely familiar of certain Warriors QQing about Unsuspecting Foe.
Changes happen, it’s what MMOs are about.
A nerf which affects ALL builds using Dhuumfire. The change to Dhuumfire is not a good change, only limiting it to Death Shroud is the worst thing they could have done.
I agree on reducing the damage on it, because the damage of Dhuumfire can be increased with Sigils/Runes and speccing more into condition damage while sacrificing power/precision.ArenaNet have had balancing issues since launch, just suck it up like the rest of us had to and wait for the next MMO.
Yes, I’m waiting for ESO but that doesn’t have anything to do with the balance issues of GW2. I’m still going to play GW2, as it is B2P. I’m not going to suck up a bad change of a Grandmaster trait that is going to ruin a lot of builds.
Reduce the damage of Dhuumfire and keep it as it is. Limiting it to Death Shroud will ruin a lot of builds and make some of them useless, as all builds aren’t using Death Shroud as a main damage source but as a situational escape or situational AoE.
This map seems like a great map for Open World PvP/PvE roaming.

So ArenaNet keep nerfing builds to make them less efficient. Dhuumfire is getting a HUGE nerf. Not worth playing a hybrid Necromancer build anymore. With this nerfing to builds for all classes, there will be 1-2 powerful builds to use for each class. I’m pretty sure ArenaNet wanted us to play with different builds, not just one or two.
With Dhuumfire nerf they are restricting the Grandmaster trait to death shroud only, also they are reducing the active time from 4 to 3 seconds? That’s ok, because with sigils and runes you can actually make the effect of burning longer. But restricting it to Death shroud only is not fair, at all, that is limiting it to certain builds. With my Hybrid Necromancer build Dhuumfire is pretty much kitten if it only have a chance on crit to activate in Death Shroud, unless i play a Death Shroud build. That’s restricting a skill/trait to a certain build. Not good ArenaNet.
I’ve seen a lot of other nerfs for other classes, some builds just getting hammered down. It’s not ok. If you’re going to nerf, don’t nerf a specific build to make it less efficient by making a Grandmaster trait useless to my build it’s not even worth using anymore.
TL;DR: It’s ok to nerf Damage, Healing, and Armor of a build. It’s not ok to nerf a SKILL or TRAIT so it becomes totally kittening useless and i can’t have it for my build anymore.
This is why devs should not listen to most people on the fourms. This change is great as it is reducing amount of stupid kitten in this game. Although, I wish they would do something about signet of spite already.
How is it a good change? the trait is a Grandmaster trait and it’s made for condition/hybrid builds. With the change hybrid builds for necromancer will be DEAD. People can still use condition builds though, or Minion Master build. They are just cutting down the choices of builds. I thought ArenaNet wanted us to play different builds, not just one or two builds.
If they continue to nerf builds like this there will be 1-2 good builds left for all classes. That’s not good at all.
I like the current version. Let me to be a bit tanky and with Signet of Locust i can do very good self healing.
Thats 2 skills for just having the worth of healing consume conditions gives you? Why?
Signet of Vampirism is a support healing skill. I’m not sure how good of a support healing it is but if you specc into Blood Magic you can get some good healing with it and also with Sigils and Runes.
ArenaNet gave us new healing skills and also reworked many of the support skills in the game, to make supporting more efficient. People still run Berserker though,to speedclear dungeons and events etc, BUT, against some encounters you need support or the entire party/raid will wipe.
WHAT!? will they change Dhuumfire to Death shroud only. That change is the worst i’ve heard. Necromancer is just getting nerfed after nerf. Dhuumfire isn’t even OP as it is now. It’s perfectly balanced.
Look at Warrior, Guardian, Mesmer. There you got OP classes.
As it is now i’m running a power, precision, condition build. D/D + A/W.
If Axe and Dagger got Cleave that would make this build very good, but Necromancers don’t Cleave so… still a good build though.
Will create it on a build site and link it here. Give me a minute.
Once Necromancer get Cleave, it will be better.

If i have a Stack on-kill sigil on two different weapons on two different weapon sets, only one applies. Why? They’re on two different sets. I don’t really get it, but it kinda sucks.
I know there was an issue where people would unequip/equip weapons to get the effect of all sigils, this was when sigils wasn’t restricted to only one. I have an idea to bypass that though.
When you unequip a weapon (that isn’t in a weapon set, but in a bag or bank. Swapping set counts as unequipping) that weapon with said stack on- kill sigil would be removed from you as a passive boon. Swapping weapon sets wouldn’t remove the effect though. Also increase the restriction to two sigils.
As engineer and elementalist can’t swap weapon sets that would create another problem though. Probably is an easy fix for that though.
It would be very nice with an account wide bag slot. Some items that are account bound would be put into this bag and you don’t have to worry about going to the bank every time you swap your character. Was thinking about minis, weapons, boosts and mining pick etc.
Would easily buy one of those bag slots for 800-1200 gems.
I like the current version. Let me to be a bit tanky and with Signet of Locust i can do very good self healing.
True. Our weapons don’t cleave. But almost every other weapon attacks ends up being AoE.
We have tons of AoE.
Don’t get me wrong, would love to have dagger cleave. Just saying that we do have access to a ton of AoE…
Yes we have AoE, but most AoE are condition damage and not power damage. We need more power damage AoE.
A lot of classes have AoE damage on their weapon, like Warrior, Guardian, Ranger, Thief, Elementalist, Engineer and Mesmer. Necromancer though?
The only AoE damage source they have from weapons is the Staff and the staff is not really a power build, it’s for support or conditions.
Warhorn and focus have AoE but those are on high cd and most of them are condi and not power.
Suggestion
Dagger: Add AoE(up to 3 targets) damage to Dagger mainhand first skill, Necrotic Slash and the third chain of the first skill, Necrotic Bite.
Axe: Add AoE(up to 3 targets) damage to Axe mainhand first skill, Rending Claws and increase the damage by 10%.
Have you seen T3 Norn Cultural?
When you have, then look at T3 Light and Heavy.
Can i go into Edge of the Mists directly or do i have to be Queued for Mist Wars to get into Edge of the Mists? what if i like Edge of the Mists more than Mist Wars.
I hope we get more customization. If it’s new weapons for each class, more utility, a rework of traits or whatever.

I like this idea. Would be fun for collectors and card games are fun so, i’ll say yes.
Edit: It would also make the lore richer, as these cards hold lore about monsters and NPCS in the game.
People are guesting other servers. People won’t do Tequatl on their own server they guest another more popular server todown Tequatl. Very bad attitude imo.
First Person View would be amazing. People have asked for it since closed beta.
I think Mursaat is viable. “We” teamed up with them against some dragon. Don’t know what dragon, but “we” allied with the Mursaat, so it’s possible it could be Mursaat. Also Mursaat is very intelligent and powerful, it’s not like they are a lesser race.
Why are we not able to stack Nourishments. We can stack boosts and stuff but not Nourishments. I think it would be nice to be able to stack all those Nourishments on you and free up space in your bag and also, if a Nourishment is very short like 10 minute each, it would be nice to able to stack up for a few hours.
No Kodan? what the :/
What about Djinn? those from Elona and Crystal Desert.

I want one of those as well. Orr is interesting, as it is the first place for humans to ever set their feet and the gods were living there among the humans. Also it could tie nicely in with Zhaitan, The Risen and maybe Scarlet and the other Elder Dragons. Also want more lore about The Gods and The Orrian King etc.
I want Tengu, Kodan or Largos.
Speedrun dungeons, all paths available with speedruns.
Run trains and harvest a long the way. Sell all resources on TP (unless you can sell for more at merchant).
Use Blue/Green items for salvaging and raise your Magic Find to 300%.
Salvage rares for Ectos. (Sell on TP unless you need them for crafting)
Sell Exotics on the TP (unless you want to use them).
I agree with the others on principle. I have no problem with cosmetic and convenience items in the gem store, but this does set a bad precedent where you pay real money to get something you can’t get elsewhere that actually provides a financial benefit.
People who didn’t participate in the Living Story have no way to get the nodes for their home instance. And you can convert gold to gems, using in-game currency to buy stuff from the gem store.
This is thread is only about people being picky and smelling something that could possibly be P2W without really thinking it through. It doesn’t add anything constructive. I’m glad i and a few others could be constructive at least, to prove you wrong.
I think it’s fine. Nothing game breaking. Most people don’t care about harvesting anyway and that would make the Living Story P2W as well. People that weren’t participating in the past Living Story haven’t got the nodes for their home instance and they have no way to get it.
Everyone can convert gold into gems, so it’s not really P2W in any sense.
Can’t believe you started to talk about football. lel
Warrior + Elementalist can do crazy stuff.
Because people want to level.
Nice VA, actually.
Must’ve been the directing of GW2 that went wrong…
Indeed. I like the voice for Trehearne. But as a character, he wasn’t really that fun or interesting.
I found the voice actor for Trehearne. It’s this guy http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0107216/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t90
Here are all voice actors for GW2 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1716744/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast
Internet is also a misleading title then.
Sorry but nothing killed this game. Your post is invalid.
Ranger don’t have enough DPS. Ranger is a bad class and ArenaNet knows it.
They will have to rework ranger a bit. Pets need to be better as well and let us play without a pet and increase our damage etc.
Guild Wars 2 released too early because ArenaNet got pushed by NcSoft. If NcSoft hadn’t been such kittenbags, GW2 would have released way better with more features and content than it did.
Yeah it was very well made and i liked it a lot. Listened to all the dialogues in the instance and went to Scarlet’s Lair. Done the Wurm a few times and Twisted Marionette many times now.
Tail of Mordremoth
To be honest, other mmorpg are making more than GW2 from micro transaction. I’m talking about subscription and freemium games in which most people already are paying a subscription.
It is hard to complain when that’s the case.
Well, China is getting a VIP subscription system. Which let’s you subscribe for bonuses.
If we get this in the west, it would be really good. But then ArenaNet would have to cut most of the RNG in the gem store or at least improve the way RNG works.
The description of the dye packs in the gem store is pretty darn explanatory.
‘Contains one random armor dye from a pool of 25 colors that includes six new, exclusive colors.’
At least 19/25 chances to get a dye other than one of the exclusive ones. I guess people don’t read what they are actually buying. You can’t really blame ArenaNet for that.
You should reread what I wrote. Which clearly showed the problem. The chance to get the rare dye is not 6/25. It is much lower than that.
Even if it’s 1/25 or 6/25 to get an exclusive new dye it’s 1/25 or 6/25 for each Dye Kit. Which makes it all based on pure luck. Opening a Dye Kit won’t increase your chances when opening the next Dye Kit. Which makes the RNG of these gem store items kitten.
I won’t buy RNG from the gem store unless they improve it.
Well the thing with these exclusive dye kits. They all aren’t exclusive. If you had a chance to get 1 of the exclusive dyes from a kit, that is 1 of 6 dyes, that would be a loss for ArenaNet and also a loss for the game as those dyes wouldn’t be as rare.
Still, it’s a crappy way to sell exclusive dyes. It should be implemented in a better way. As for now i think most people have to buy these stuff on the TP. Let all the rich people spend cash on the gem store for us.
I like your cosplay. It looks amazing.
I usually join a party at big events, and if i get disco i can go back to the same instance as my party. A temporary solution of course. There should be something better implemented.
That’s disturbing. You should have a bigger chance to get one of those 6 dyes. Seriously. You’re buying the dye kit to get one of the 6 exclusive dyes and you get none.
Terrible implementation of RNG.
I made a thread but for the BLC RNG, with the tickets and scraps being total random i came up with an idea. They should do something similar with the dye kits.

Yes make leaderboards monthly and also RESET them after every month so people start at zero.
I agree. Weapons that are low tier should be able to be upgraded into something more appealing. You like the aesthetics of a weapon/armor set but the color and effects of it might not be on par with higher tier weapons/armors.
I’ve had this idea with dungeon armors and weapons before, posted on the forums a long time ago. Let us upgrade those armors so they look better. Take Ascalonian armor for example, it isn’t glowing and you don’t look like a ghost. I think you should be able to upgrade it so it looks that way.
Of course it would be expensive to do so and require a lot of resources.
Yes please. 15 char
