I think the developer explained, it take really long for them to design armor set. Much longer compare to say…. weapons.

So the end result is there are far less armor set. And they keep adding new weapon.

There are very few 1 shot mobs I can think of and I run full zerk ele.

The lupi projectile aoe can be avoided in a lot of ways, you don’t even have to dodge everything.

About this slow instakill animation that roots you, i think you’re referring to the crusher and hunter boss. If this is a problem for you, why not take a condi/immobile remover? or a block/invul utility?

This just seems like you don’t really know the dungeon very well. Youtube videos of runs can help a lot.

if I could show the pic when Lupi puts around you so many aoes that you cant dodge out and hits you sooo many times that no reflect or block would save you I would.

phase 2 mass aoe can be dodged and walked around. If that’s not enough you always have the F1 skill. Many people solo lupi and have to deal with this mass aoe burst.

you dont really need block/invul, it;s just a suggestion you can use your spectral skill that teleports you if it really is such an issue. if you get rooted in succession that often during hunter/crusher get someone in your party to drop a reflect on the hunter.

In any case these are just suggestions, lupi isn’t really hard when you know how to take him down. I suggest checking out necro solo lupi video if he’s the biggest problem you have in your run.

sooo watching this thread I think I can say there isn’t any real worthwile demon/demons in GWs world.

seeing as even people that loves lore allot cant seem to actualy finde one that is 100% a demon not just assumptions that its a demon.

He can’t. He is born after WW2.

Same thing with the Living Story.

A new player is born after certain events. So he can only read up on it and watch old videos (e.g. re-live though it by playing the mission, knowing full well it happened in the past) on it. He cannot experience it anymore in real time.

The world must change for this whole Living Story concept to work.

oooooooooooor you could just make an Asura to make a Time gate where you could go back an Instanced form of the event to redo it for archivements nostalgia hell even for skins. and it would totally not effect the living world out there so current LS would not have probs.

an MMORPG game cant stay up without expanding with your idea the game would NEVER expand anywhere if Anets plan is Pure LS.

Lets see WoW as an example: MILLIONS of players leave at the end of an expansion but when an expansion arrives MILLIONS come back one of the reason the game is still up and running.

With temp LS Players that leave don’t have a single reason not a SINGLE one to come back to the game after a month/year.

Also playing old content gives some realy nice nostalgic feeling when your boored old content makes wonders. im always doing it in other mmos when im bored and that also keeps me and allot of other players playing.

you know what I hear from the majority of players in different game forums that think that GW2 is good but they left it ?

they left bicous they aren’t seeing the game going anywhere content wise. one of their major reason.

I never had a problem with Lupi if I’m honest-it was mainly the parts after that….

after lupi the dungeon is easy faceroll almost.

Hm, I sometimes join parties with people who have less than 1.5k AP and somehow we complete it. Lupi is a breeze, especially when my party starts to cheer me up.

lupi is not hard if you don’t encounter the rare bugs that I mentioned.

PvE soldier’s is the best general (defensive) option, cleric’s is only if you are planning to support. Berzerker is still better if you need damage though, because let’s face it its still PvE.

Both are competitive options in PvP, for different builds.

Berserker is best option for pve MM :/ (Or condition, or condi-power hybrid) You don’t need defense in pve, if you need – you’re doing something wrong

soloing champions with closed eyes with my MM necro in soldier gear lol not all of corse but yeah some defensive stats worth it.

5% Power is converted to healing power ( Soldier gear main stat is Power )
5% Toughnes is converted to Power ( Soldier gear secondary stat is Toughnes and vitality )
Food that converts 5% Vitality and 7% Toughnes to Power

Siphon dmg and healing also scales with Power.

Run Bone Fiend. Start with its immobilize, since it is highly unlikely to be dodged and the thief will be watching you, not your minion. Chain it with Dark pact and sit behind them, attacking until they die. Very few thieves actually run immobilize cleansing because Hide in Shadows and Signet of Malice are just so good and Roll for Initiative is their longest cooldown stunbreak.

no root or slow or anything will stop a stealth spammer thief they will almost always heal to full while only coming out to hit you a few times with huge crits and go to stealth again and doing this till you sooner or later die…… good thiefs like these are Rare.

at 80 start doing Arah dungeons

and pull your hair out when when the boss have a slow instakill animation but also roots you.

It is the ‘new’ meta for necros looking for easy mode PvE. In WvW hardly easy mode and those that run away cause of all the ‘red nameplates’ are weak to begin with. Focus you, not the minions and you are toast with your minions following right behind your spiking, bet.

the ONLY person that was able to beat me in WvW was a stealth spammer thief after a good 10 min long fight I almost had him. stealth means my minions don’t attack lol.

Soldier gear in my opinion the best gear for this build and bicous the Soilder amulet I can use this build in Spvp too and its HELL allot of fun you have crazy sustain and dmg from minions.

All day long I’ve been fighting warriors, sure I don’t know their spec, but they all had hammers and regen signet and I didn’t lose 1v1 all day. And I’m specced hybrid, so I also do quite good DD on top of my condis.

real shout build warriors mostly use the heal that also removes 3 conditions not the heal sig also they automatically can remove some of the cond. yeah I tried it on my war Lots of heals almost immune to condis southeals /dance.

for me its the Meta.

the fun part when you solo WvW and there comes an enemy or 2 and runs away bicous they see allot of red nameplates XD

also minion health siphon heals ALLOT and adds some nice extra dmg.

Well that’s just not true, I pump wars full of condis and they go down. I only go down if I’m out of CD’s and a hammer warrior surprises me with no DS. I don’t really die to wars since they’re really predictable and easy to kite.

I have a honest question… Why do so many people play games for rewards rather then well for the game? Several people have said in this thread that they like dynamic events (or implied they like them) but said they’re not going to play them until their reward increases.

Is it better to play an hour of content you dont enjoy so much that rewards you 5 gold or an hour of content that you really love playing but that rewards you 1 gold?

If you use minions in phase 3 you will do negative dps. Dont be that guy.

Grubs always prioritise players in phase 1 since they fixed it. The only grub which doesnt follow this rule is the grub on phase 1 -> phase 2 switch. Which always appears on the closest player, minion, clone, pet or npc to lupi on phase switch.

Also taking defensive stats is a sure way to screw up aggro and maybe get you the majority of focus from lupi’s attacks. Which I assume you dont want unless you can solo lupi pretty comfortably.

that’s what I want the majority of focus lol most of the time im the only guy in the dungeon that basically can make a comeback when everyone is down bicous I don’t go down in secs from anything.

btw in soldier gear and with 30% minion dmg + minion life siphon those minions deal some massive dmg. +yours. btw I never saw the boss hp go up in Phase 3 are you sure it heals lol ?
