Hi, I have PS warrior and thief ready for raids, ofc full asc, using food, and ts. So far I’ve successfully pugged VG and know other bosses only from videos/ guides. I am a semi-hardcore player with lots of free time. Looking for a guild which beats everything now or the one which works its way up there.

Ammout of matches played doesn’t matter. I have seen people with >5k games played who are still incredibly bad.
all 5 players went mid, at the start of the match. i was so shock i didnt move while i was at mid. we lost by 60 points at the end of the match.
Actually going 5 mid as an opener isn’t as bad as it may sound if you take advantage of it.
So your answer to more enjoyable pvp is to increase the ammount of people in your team so your mistakes would have lesser impact instead of just learning to play better? Nice approach.

I play meta all the time. For few reasons. First one being that I want to give my best for my team to win- I will train mecanics, learn other class’ skills, animations, maps, plays, etc. and I will use the build that is optimised and was tested on the highest competitive scene. Second reason being that I don’t enjoy wining by tricks, gimmicks or whatever you may call it- build wars’ing. I don’t mind other people knowing exactly what I’m runing. I want to beat them through my own skill or lose and through this try to improve myself so next time I will do better.
I can easly see how some people might react to that statement- "you treat it too serious and I only want to have fun". My answer is that it is fun for me. I play to win or to lose and improve. And exactly this I find enjoyable.
I think that you make some incorrect assumptions. The score difference reflects more than just skill difference. One mistake in one situation may bring different result depending on the situation. Sometimes it may cost team 50 points, sometimes 100, etc. Look for example at last WTS finals. Abjured and oRNG fought 4 matches- 3 of them extremely close at score but last one had very big score difference. If you look only at that last match you might be under the impression that skill of those teams wasn’t close to each other but for sure that’s hardly the case here.
I don’t get it. When I am reading forums "afk and 4v5s" seems like such a big problem which happens all the time. Thing is I play every day and I almost never encounter this. Maybe once every few days or so.
This is a very serious accusation. Please support it with screenshots. We all want to see them.
The guy who checks all those reports has the funniest job you can imagine probably. Reporting someone for spamming emotes and writing about it on forum xD I have blocked dozens of people already, why is it so hard for you? xD

It really doesn’t matter if the OP was the scummiest person in the world or had some ulterior motives hidden behind this guide. What matters is that this guide is decent and it easly shows people how to play this game.
take 1 cele rifle engi
pick either 2 cele dd or 2 cele shoutbow or 1 of each
take 2 of any other class you wantand that sums up the meta
And now ask yourself the question- is it bad? I don’t remember there ever being meta in which every class had it’s place. And now 3-4 people with sustain + 1-2 dps roamers, made of almost any class composition, are considered good comp.

I hate those when soloq, but when on ts I just demand people to actually call their skills so I don’t have to second guess.
If they make Stronghold a full flesh out game mode I would want it to be on separate que--> a lot of different maps, each played differently. But if they insist on making it only played on 1 map they should keep it in 1 que with conquest. What is additional req. is to finally give us build templates so we can change builds depending on mode we are playing.
With the introduction of guild halls I was expecting this new mode- Stronghold to be very similar to GvG from GW1. What I mean by that is that each guild should be able to choose their own guild map and the stronghold should be played on the map chosen by the weaker (in leaderboard) guild. But instead of this we get another game mode played only on one specific map (like courtyard= deathmatch). I was expecting a lot more from paid expansion.
Whenever I play people call me names. I feel bad about it. This is a cruel world we live in so why can’t we find some peace in this imaginary world? Don’t be so insensitive. Remember that with every mean word you say a kitten dies. Save the kittens, save the world!
I wait for the day when guardian spirit weapons will be buffed for the sake of buffing unused builds and we will have a new AI meta.

GW had such an option- if everyone typed /resign the match came to end. Why continue the match if some people see no reason for it?
Maybe they just tried to give you constructive criticism and you denied being helped?
How is calling someone F word and cursing you ’’constructive criticism’’ ???
when you write in team chat:
"Don’t go boss"
and
3 ppl going boss, mid lost and boos stolen
"Don’t go 1 by 1 vs 3"
and
ppl keep going 1v3 for 5 minutes
"Hold points don’t zerg around like wvsw chickens"
and
ppl capping pnts with 3 and then just all 3 zerging to another point leaving it freecap
and pu mesmers pushing far (Well pu mesmers in general), dps rangers eating their whole reflected rapid fire, condi thieves, banner warriors, zerk yolo staff eles...and on and on and on...
I think that F words is way less than what they actually deserve
But... they don’t care if they lose or win just like OP said.
Make a team and talk with them on ts while waiting;)
With that approach your friend will never get better. I would love to always be matched with premades who play a lot better than my team. That is the only way you can learn to play- by being stomped over and over again. You learn almost nothing by wining easy games.
Rangers, you had one job and one job only- to get useful melee weapon for dungeons. And yet you failed again xD
Runing as administrator doesn’t solve the problem for me.
What the title says. I do not wish for a discussion. I only would like to understand how different people interpret this. So give me your interpretation and don’t address other people who will give theirs. Cheers.
Edit: Just to clarify: by "exp" I already mean experienced. But the question is at what point do you consider yourself meeting the requirement? Is it after completing dungeon once? Twice? Hundred times? Maybe after your 1st successful solo attempt?

I have no idea what is wrong with you. The reason for seeds is that the most probable winners (in this case TM, CM) would not meet before finals... so any match-making which would put TM vs CM before finals would be just bad.
Even if I’m in a 4v5, I don’t go AFK. I’d rather it take a little longer and have some fun killing people than just sit around and do nothing.

Elitists ruin this game. Guild Wars 2 is for casuals. If I join your party I want to be carried and you kick me- anet ban them please. There is no way to view my gear in this game so why should I ping it to you...
I would love to see some more bromance between Rytlock and Logan.
Look at the bigger picture: it’s not about us, it’s about our children being able to play decent pvp.
Yeah, I was soo expecting New-Mega-Esport-Patch and we got more fixes to skill descriptions again.
Using consumables in pugs is more often not about being able to cut the time on clearing dungeon but about sending a message like: "I know what I am doing" or "I care enough to prepare the best I can for this".
The ironic part about it is that guang truly thinks warriors have very low survivability.
Warriors on their own aren’t so great. They need to know to play. But warriors with some guardian support? Different matter entirely.
I’d have to disagree(about the not being so great on their own part).
I mean yes meta axe you might have some trouble with some bleed stacks but using something like hambow is not only highly self sustaining, its got CC and can synergize well with phalanx strength regardless of what stat archetype you choose.
You might not deal as much sustained damage in a corner strat but if people are running around like headless chickens you can certainly deliver group support and CC with hambow.
It sounds crazy I know but I’ve 3 manned that entire bandit room in CM with the two huge groups charging in without corner stacking them with a condi mesmer and a bunker engie, with me doing hambow, I think that alone should speak of something.

I never liked AI in pvp. Now I show my bird to every person who hits me. It’s nice having someone who can play better than me on my side. I only wish he could stomp other players. Hopefully next patch will fix it.
Unless there is a top team which doesn’t use TS there is hardly any argument about usefulness of this tool.

When playing with a premade team during prime time it takes ~2 minutes to find a match for us. Maybe it is longer when you solo join teamq.

I was reported by one guy for using steal without line of sight. He states that it is clearly an exploit, cause he plays thief and he knows better;)

They have gettered so much experience from previous game and then they decided to trash most of it and do the opposite in this one.
I don’t want this to be implemented ever. When playing tpvp with my guild disconnects happen on a daily basis. Being unable to continue playing (waiting 30m.) because someone had unlucky dc at the end of a match is a bad design.
Anet, I can’t 1shot people anymore, please help.
Game too hard, strategy too hard, so much thinking involved, please nerf.
