There are many threads out there with a similar problem, however, none of the solutions has really worked and my problem may be a little bit different.

Problem:
I recently started playing GW2 again. After playing GW2 a totally random time (sometimes 10 min, sometimes a few hours), my game crashes – the screen freezes in a random color and my PC gives wierd grumbling sound lasting a second or something so i need to restart it.
I don’t have this problem with other games like, for example GTA V.

System:
Win10 Pro 64 Bit
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
AMD FX™-6300 Six-Core Processor 3,50 GHz
8 gb RAM
(if you need more information, tell me)

What I already tried:
- updating drivers
- changing to “Prefer Maximum Performance” at “power management mode” in the NVIDIA control panel
- closing all background applications (obviously)
- start as Admin
- turning down graphic settings

May this be related to pc heat? Because the problem occurs faster after I start playing right after the screen was freezing and the pc has not yet cooled down? “Speedfan” shows a temperature of >60°C on “Temp2” and GW2 isnt even opened.

it’s a sign of a dying GPU. experienced exactly like yours. the pc froze and got buzz sound, i can’t event close the client, had to hard reset when that happened. not long after that my GPU died. luckily still under warranty, so i RMA’ed. yesterday got a replacement card.

any mention about nightcapping is like suggesting those who live outside NA timezone does not deserve to play WvW….

I cant log in to my desolation account, but I can log to my far shiverpeaks account. It crashes after Character selection. I will send support ticket tommorow if this isnt fixed, hopefully some other people have the same issue.

i experienced almost the same problem. after selecting a character it went white screen with network problem message. try repairing the client. it did the trick for me.

50% discount on shared inventory slot. i’ll buy 13 straight away if they do it.

i find it funny that peoplewho logged in for a few month and then stopped playing , suddenly come out and rant about something he missed… i mean, why do you care about what you missed ? just play the content you have, you’ll be going in a few month anyway…

the only p2w element exist in GW2, if you even can consider it as p2w, is the advantage of account with HoT over one who doesn’t, in terms of availability of elite specs. even then, a skilled one legged vanilla mesmer can win against a crap chronomancer.

infusion should be available to everyone without having to pay high price. if by allowing the +14 and above infusion to be deconstructed means reducing the price of lower infusions isn’t that good for everyone interested in fractals ? only market manipulators who has no interest in fractal except making more golds are affected…

yeah.. just get to +195 participation point as fast as possible , consume the +50% and +10% extra track point buff, and then cap a ruin every 5 minutes. reload buff if necessary. you’ll be done in less than 6 hours.

@Gaile Gray i hope you guys reconsider your solution. i think the better solution would be to make make the +stats / +n AR infusion tradeable. if those who think it’s a deal let them take the deal, while letting those who think the puny +25stats sucks recoup their gold to restructure their gear AR.

Yes because everybody want to have a lot of +9 AR that they cant anything about it, as you would get more +9 then you would use.

i’m not too worry about that.. i can use all +10… no excess of +9…

still no one can justify why do i need to spend extra few hundred gold to get another +15 to construct a +16 so that i can get few +5stats / +9AR ? i should be allowed to put all +9 to all gear of my characters by deconstructing the +15. ANet is victimizing select few to cover up their own mistakes.

this is unacceptable. i have 3 +15 AI. I can only forge one +16 AI with those to get the +5stats / +9AR (that i do not need and can’t even sell). what do I do with the other +15 ? why do I have to fork few more hundred golds just so that I can forge +16 to get AI I do not want ?

please let us deconstruct +14 and above. economy will heal on its own.

@OP you can wait for another 3 years, and get HoT for free when they launch a new expansion (if there is any).

back when i was playing GW1, i had character with 23/30 title. account got hacked. gold and items lost, and to make matter worse the hacker deleted that character with 23/30 title. i gave up interest playing GW1 after that.

the only sort of two-factor auth GW1 have is the character name, if you even call that two-factor auth.

This shouldn’t be the case. All the artificer recipes should still be there. INFUZ simply added an alternative, faster way to create some of the infusions.

Correct, the artificer part of my post was error. I had not “discovered” +7 yet.

happening to me ans few other in the guild as well. at first i thought only happen in WvW but then when i was doing AB it happened again. the game is seems unplayable at the moment. very frustrating indeed.

the freeze happened to the extend you can event close the program, you have to shut down the PC by pushing the start button .

can confirm. keep crashing in EBG not long after porting in .

i wouldn’t touch the authenticator app. if you lose your phone you’ll go through a lot of hassle. sms/email is good enough for me.

it’s been more than 24 hours. any news on this oversight ? it’s only a few lines of code to add few items in the menu for deconstruction, so i’m sure it’s not that hard to fix it ….

that was how they did it initially, then people cry they want expansion, so Anet gave them expansion, but now they want the Living Story back ? lol Anet can never satisfy their customers, can they ?

that’s why it is called ‘specialization" instead of “diversification”… the way i see it, it’s not meant for flexibility the way we would like it to be…

if you can afford 14 +5AR +5stats infusion, surely you can afford to buy 5 +15 agony infusions. the other +5 just get from inside the fractal….

dailies are already easy as hell. people are just being lazy kitten.

people are hoarding gems because gold are easy in AB…..
