You’re right( I think its a 21 point gain so far but your point is valid), this scoring system sucks. I’m sure that by now we would all love a new match up.

He means on aggregate. Red in T4 gained 11, ebay gained 21.

While my post wont add much of value to the topic, in my opinion (which seems to concur with others) arrow carts are now overpowered.

If you are suffering from glitched upgrades after a reset, I may have just stumbled across a cure.

Our hills got stuck on reinforced gates with both workers standing around unwilling to ferry supply to continue the upgrade. I was messing around and gave the workers [Empower] and [Symbol of swiftness] and one of them started moving again! Now this is by no means scientific, but I just figured I would post exactly what I did (which is gave the workers might and swiftness) in-case other people are having the same issue. I would hazard a guess and say it was the swiftness that did it, but I cant be 100% sure.

Its worth a try Hopefully this bug can be fixed by ANET soon.

Don’t worry, you got it back easily because AR general populace don’t understand what a minimap is, nor do they know what a contested keep looks like, nor do they answer calls for help.

That was one commander, who inspite of me shouting out to guild chat wouldnt listen. He is in a guild called Help (Yeah me neither).

I was in SM third floor trebing with another guy hitting WC and Klovan, and he wouldnt listen every time I asked him to take out the rogues and golanta supply camps. If it wasn’t for the kindness of a small group banding together it wouldn’t have been long till all my trebing was for rendered pointless by upgrades…

Back on topic, at this time of the day we struggle to get any decent commanders into wvw at all and the ones that do arnt always the best nor do they take criticism. My point is, you cant brand the server based on the actions of the zerg, it is only as smart as the guy with the blue icon.

Funny thing is, all the commander had to do was portal bomb the group to the lords room and drop their own null fields and <insert other aoe condi removal> down and it wouldn’t have had such a profound effect.

Failing that, a group of that size just had to stand there and wait out the 6-10seconds of confusion they had on as a stacked group and they would have been fine. Most of the mesmers confusion seemed to be blown on the first bomb anyway. Loved seeing the 3k ticks of confusion haha. Guy must have been looking at his bar thinking “12stacks of confusion, I’ll be fine” 1spam….

To the BP (that incinerator thief Burn commander and crew) that nearly got our garrison nice try! You have been in our BL every day of this week always with briar and vale. We had been struggling to amass the numbers to quickly push you off the map every attempt you made, but luckily for us today was the first time we actually summoned a half decent force to repel your attack.

That kinda border defense is a glimmer of what our server used to feel like back in the days where everyone despised EB and loved our own borderlands to death. After the decline of some guilds, and the complete absence of others, its become increasingly hard to find people that will defend ARBL. I hope it continues the way today did.

On a side note, some of our premium wvw guilds reeeeeeallly need to start training their guys. It feels like they are taking people on and expecting them to be able to cope as if its pve. Our only heads up from that golem attack was “INC INC INC GOLEMS” followed by “GREEN” and that was all. If we had even a shread more information (for example: BP golems @Greenlake headed north) I doubt they would have made it past the first gate. Scout communication really needs a work guys lol…

Easy way to stomp a Mesmer,

Start the stomp, wait a second for when you think the mesmer is about to activate deception and cancel it and start again. By the time the animation finishes 9/10 he will still be close when he pops out of stealth and your finisher will work.

That’s why thief downed is better.

I am experiencing a bug where leap finishers are being applied when leaving a combo field but not when entering.

I am using Blackpowder and HS to try to amass a few seconds of stealth and although stealth is applied when exiting the field initially, it is not applied when entering (even though the combo finisher symbol shows)

I am uploading video of this happening and will post up as soon as its ready. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I don’t understand why wXP is disallowed for yak runners simply as a Botting countermeasure.

Wxp doesnt buy anything of monetary value and thus has no effect on the economy. We can then deduce that if someone does bot for Wxp they have the Intention to come back and play the game once they accumulated enough.

What this means is you won’t see lots of strange named rangers huddling around yaks, just real characters meaning they will be easier to kill and/or ban.

It’s a team game. Run with your guildmates to have the best fun in wvw.

Also dont make the mistake in judging the game mode on how often you get killed, I get killed all the time! Too many players are too scared to die in a video games. It’s often worth the suicide run if you can contest a point for long enough for the rest of your armies to show up and save the day! (in fact that’s where most of my deaths came from likely…)

Just get yourself in there with some friends, try to learn what it’s all about (the longhaul, points and ppt).

Haven’t been nerfed??? Lol go read the Mesmer forums/past patch notes. Mesmers went through a spell of getting nerfed every patch.

I would like to see cultural upgrades be introduced through a historian line.
T1- Asuran electrified gates. Allows the purchase of Asuran electrified gates through quartermasters which give all gates inside a structure Shocking aura. [This upgrade will help to reduce servers just massing a huge Zerg and dps’ing down gates]

T2- Sylvan Cannon armour. Allows the purchase of cannon armour (like the glassy viney effect used on warden weapons) which increases cannon health by 20% and pulses 1 second stability and protection to the cannon operator every second. [Helps to make cannons more usable when the enemy are at the gates]

T3- Charr mechanisms. Adds mechanical aids to mortars allowing them to fire and turn faster. [cooldown between shots stays the same]

T4- something related to humans

T5- something related to norn

Most crafted food is cheap if it’s low level because it has no vendor value and thus can only be sold to players. Check the trading post for food.

Its a cool concept, I wouldnt hold your breath for changes however.

I was there when we took your Hills, I am not sure who you talked to but the Mesmer in question said after they came back from work they were still in hills from the last time, I don’t know of an exploit to get into hills currently so I have to believe this was all legit.

I know the mes in question and they have been around for a while and seriously doubt they’d hack.

The mesmers credibility is neither here nor there, the simple fact is I can list the places you can hide at inner hills on one hand (supply hut, under the bridge, you might be able to count hiding at the southern most section south of the lord room…) it is just inconceivable that someone could be afk hidden there. Hills isn’t easy to hide in while you are at the keyboard.

What you seem to be implying is that AR is just full of bads that think when a commander says Sweep it translates to “oh this guy just wants to do a victory lap round the keep we just took, I’ll go now…”

People look at maps see no commanders and automatically leave, we have hardly any people run as guilds at this time. They all just want to pug around instead of actually getting some people organised and achieving something.

Its nothing new, but I honestly have no idea what we as a server are meant to do to combat this.

Anet missed an incredible opportunity to reward the guys who defend those camps, buff those yaks, build oil, and all those little things that make those wooden structured turn into actual fortifications.

I am talking about the annoying ones that do nothing, just c&d c&d with the occasional real attack. They don’t get the revealed debuff so no dps in 4 seconds as you say…

Yeah they don’t do anything, but if they are in a tower and you don’t have a large population server to afford enough people to stay in the tower to carpet aoes/ wait around for him to get bored or attack the guards, they will just run around taping the idiotic npc’s and archers.

I for one have and will continue to lead my groups of pugs against the tier winner, I want this match to stay tight as possible.

Well of course when I am not confined to defending ARBL from BP all night from coordinated attacks on multiple towers with a handful of randoms.

What gets me the most about AR is that we take our map back and everyone swaps out to a different map. People don’t seem to inherently want to stay with me to upgrade the stuff we lost or defend against a persistent foe that won’t go away just because the maps red again… Step it up AR

Most mesmers run shatter builds these days and dodge rolls to generate clones. So the weakness applied would be surprisingly painful to a mesmer.

Was an interesting spawn fight we had going on in EB. I came up to help defend OL and ended up sticking around for the fights!

Who was that mistform ranger who focused me the entire time (I was the female norn Mesmer commander) that was annoying! Haha I couldn’t go anywhere without arrows pew pewing at me and a bear snacking on my rear.

We turned a “Oh shiii DH have broken 2 walls of SM outer, have more than us, and are trying to break inner” moment into a “Lets be taking the entirety of EB”

People did well, even though we were fairly split up and spread out those that did break off stuck together and got things done while my group helped to snag camps to fix SM’s walls back up to full.

What a garbage server Borlis Pass is. I was having loads of fun from Friday-Sunday when the scores for all 3 servers were within 100s/1000s of points and it was an extremely fair match – one of the fairest in a while

Then Sunday night/Monday morning comes.

All 3 maps are capped. Borlis Pass is 20k ahead of everyone else. What a PoS server. You ruined a potentially great match up by PvDing all night. Hope you had fun for 2 days that it was actually fun.

There won’t be any challenge at all from here on out from Devona’s Rest or Ehmry Bay. You completely demoralized both servers by showing how “superior” you are by attacking empty forts all night. You were one of my favourite servers to fight in a while and then you destroy any integrity you had in one night.

Pathetic.

How many days until reset? Oh yeah – 5. Watch how little challenge there will be from now until reset now that no one stands a chance at winning but Borlis Pass. The same challenge that was there from Friday-Sunday will no longer be present.

AR has had a very poor turnout today on my shift. Shocked we kept what we have. DH easily had enough to make a move on our keep in EB (especially with IoJ hitting bay in ARBL) Many times today I felt like the only commander on the 4 maps…
