I love all my characters. The way Wxp was implemented didnt exactly welcome alt play, but I like playing them enough to not care about wxp. Sure account bound Wxp would be nice (all 8 of my characters are above Wxp rank 30) I don’t think I am going to cry if they don’t.
In short, all the things we asked for months ago are going to take many more months to implement.
Get comfortable people, 2013 is not the year for wvw it seems.
You can stack on kill sigils so long as the are the same. Ie 2x bloodlust 2x life etc…
If a warrior is running stuns and interrupts he isn’t running a condition build. Hammer, mace, shield = cc but no conditions. That means the damage he is doing wont be coming from his conditions.
If you (for some unknown reason) see a condi build warrior not using sword or longbow just relying on confusion interrupts any small amount of condi removal will keep you clean as he will have nothing to cover his confusion other than vulnerability and maybe some irregular duration cripple and weakness.
And yes I am well aware of the stability issues mesmers have, however mesmers have some of the best survivability stunbreaks and evade abilties in the game and any decent Mesmer will never have an issue against a cc warrior.

erm confusion is a condition not a cc…..and even if u have stability (btw mesmers have a weak stability as we dont have many skills that do that for us) in a zerg u will not be able to keep stability up consitently
How is the confusion dealt? Interrupts. How do you interrupt people? With cc. What shields you from interrupts? Stability.
In a Zerg conditions are not very effective at all, so much aoe condi cleanse from shout guardians/warriors, warrior horns, nullfield, necro well of power, engi fumigate the list goes on and on.
This is only a powerful rune in small play or 1v1’s but at the end of the day wvw is mainly about ppt not 1v1’s. There are hard counters to everything an example to this would be a ranger, all a ranger would have to do is pop Rampage as one and these runes become useless.
- Reduce the #4 to 1 stack of confusion.
- Reduce the #6 to 3 stacks of confusion, reduce bease duration to 5s and give it 20s internal cd.The way it is it’s just wildly superior to any confusion a mesmer can do which shouldn’t be the case.
With a nerf as huge as this nobody would ever use these runes and we already have far to many pointless runes that nobody uses. At least with the implementation of these runes people will be pulled away from the usual runesets everyone uses.

My issue is that if they go and nerf the rune it means people who went and got the runes are going to be left with lacklustre runes that they spent a fair amount of money on.
Would be nice for Anet to stop making us play test their content with our ingame gold.

I don’t often PvE, but I do like this update for the gauntlet. Not every player is leet überpro so having content you can adjust the difficulty of by yourself (using gambits etc) is interesting to me.
I like the 1v1 setup as you don’t have to rely on others to get it done, yet you can still take a group up there and make an event of it watching and helping each other from the wings.
Wallet is nice too.
It would be safe to assume that bursting would carry a 6% critdamage modifier instead of the condi duration the tooltip suggests.
I haven’t tested it yet however.
I think to make those achievements… Achievable…. They need to just knock off a zero.
I’m confused over how doing the same thing for years is even considered an achievement.
Hence why I said knock off a zero (aka divide by 10).
Gone camping would turn from 100,000 camps to 10,000 camps, meaning instead of the ludicrous 274 camps a day to achieve it in a year you would only have to cap 27/28 camps. Much more do-able.
I think to make those achievements… Achievable…. They need to just knock off a zero.

What’s wrong with celebrating things? Now if you would only let my Mesmer wear the same outfit queen Jennah wears… And let us get kasmeer’s outfit too, oh and Countess Anise too… Infact just give us all the armor skins npc’s get! You don’t even need to make new armor as its all there!
I have said it before but, Just apply rez sickness to any players Rez’d from death.
It may not stop the zombie horde forming in the first place, but it will make the horde much easier to deal with by skilled groups able to down a few at a time to the point where even if the are rezing dead (not downed) it won’t make a difference because even a lick of damage will send them straight back down again.
The main issue imo with mega zergs ATM is that they are renuable. This idea stops that.
Side note: if you are unfamiliar with what I am talking about grab a revival orb in PvE an use it from dead. From memory it cripples and lowers your hp to 1 for the duration of the debuff.

Yeah happened to me too, a Mesmer ported me out.
Slamming a commander who puts in work while you sleep is never a good idea. Especially if those guys decide they want to pack up and leave, because unless you can inhumanly stay up and cover all hours you are going to be having a bad time in wvw.
Really interesting idea! Looks complicated to implement though and some points to think about would be:
- if it generates Wxp you could see people just afk ‘lording’ and if the time comes they would be even less effective than the current lords. On that note, players are much easier to kill than lords due to lords having much more HP.
- if you plan to counter that by saying that lords get boosts to stats too you may find people becoming lords just for that and still roaming killing people in the nearby camps with his/her super powers lol
This cold be resolved by making the lords room pulse a stacking buff (something like increasing all stats by 10% and reducing cooldowns by 5% stacking 10 times) that is removed when the lord leaves. Idk, it’s tough to implement and balance, soooo many variables.
Personally I like the idea mentioned before about giving lords personalities and names to allow them to function differently. Like the ascension bay lord might be a clerics type healing based lord that throws out a lot of heals for his allies where as the dreaming bay lord might be a heavy cc stun lord with little group sustain but high disruption. It would make you have to think a little more when breaking into a lords room as your strats may have to change.
In power builds? I likely see self combos in healing spring for additions heals. Realistically it would be nicer in trap builds as the blast increases the skills horrible 1stack of might for 15 seconds to 4 stacks (with 3 lasting 20! Isn’t it funny how much better a simple combo is than a classes 35 second cooldown skill!)
While we are on the subject of condis, I think that Hunter’s call would suit the torment condition extremely well, I mean the fact you are getting swarmed by a flock of birds could very well be seen as ‘tormenting’. If the condition was added the warhorn I may be tempted to drop my torch for it! If it were up to me, I would slow down the attack rate of the birds and make each bird hit apply a single stack of torment for one second on the enemy.
As it currently stands however, the warhorn has insanely long cooldowns for very mediocre skills even with the blast finisher.

I don’t see why WvW doesn’t at least give a rare from the chest. I can go spam 1 for 30s-1m in PvE and get a rare 100% of the time… and ranking up takes far longer and is harder as well.
And a considerably larger amount of 1 spam! xD
Luck. Sme have it. Most don’t. Shame there no way we can get them in wvw in any kind of reliable manner without dropping laurels or ectos

Sometimes I really wish I was the kind of player who hates wvw and loves dungeons/fractals. You just so much more for doing the things you enjoy if you PvE.
Devon has already said they will be looking into bringing these wvw achievements inline with others.
The marsh drakes in the lowlands moat are also exploiting into the keep. Please nerf.
Apply the rez sickness (the one the Black lion company orbs use) to any players that have been rez’d from dead (not downed).
It’s such a strong debuff that they have to break combat for the few seconds it lasts or the will get insta’gib’d.

It would be nice to have these as an extra currency next to karma laurels and gold.
Even if we had to deposit them to a special npc to gain the currency version I wouldn’t care.
It would be a massive quality of life change and would make a lot of wvw’ers happy.

No buff= not out manned. You may argue that “Oh but that takes into account Ebay” but you may notice that their side was completely red and they were making no attempt to get it back.
You just had your forces running out of spawn straight into ours. You are the oceanic server after all, this is was definitely coming on to your prime time as far as numbers goes.
The npcs can’t do all the work for you. On my guardian I can generally keep the claimer lord alive against 5-6 guys long enough for reinforcements to come. He should not be a buffer for bad scouting and defence.
This was something we did for fun late at night because you guys literally bored us to death at SE area. First you tried to spawn camp us with 20, failed, died a bunch and then ran back to your tower and never really came out after that. Later you attempted to build siege at the bridge which we killed promptly cause that’s not manly/honorable and pretty cowardly. Then you run back to hills and hide behind your ACs and Cannons aka super boring to fight.
So it was either have fun with CD with a 3v3 duel for ownership of bay or fight BP hiding behind walls and siege. Hmm…
And let’s be real here, who from Ebay was really going to defend Bay at this time of night? I believe you got it right back before the points tick too.
Yeah I guess you are right. Having a paper bay was really desirable to have before the CD Asian queue came.
It’s just sad. Understandable if it was a higher rank server with dominant numbers but the underdog? Yeah you have your fun…

I was fighting an eBay thief on my ranger, I downed him and get thrown out. I didn’t care much as I had already killed him twice before (he was a persistent bugger) but still, colda been dawn right there! Lol

Please address the issue with only giving us 5mins warningbefore you implement a patch. I understand you changed this from absolutly no warning to 5 minutes, but at least give tell us so we don’t commit to any kind of offensive.

CD rolled our side of the map with 10 Omegas now that any idiot and his dog can buy them.

You get loot wxp and all that jazz from killing another player. You can buy gear that’s no better than pve stuff with all the xp and karma and badge you get. You get the same amount of ‘stuff’ from each killed player no matter if you did 1% of damage or 100% of the damage. So if your goal is to get most ‘stuff’ from wvw then you should run with a giant zerg rather than solo.
Most soloers like me do it for fun. I find zerging rather mindless and boring.Are they going to introduce new world vs world skins in the future?
Most of us wish they would, and almost thought they were going to until it turned out they were just allowing us to buy the low level skins earned in PvE for badges.
Still, fingers crossed. If we got some wvw exclusive skins that looked nice I would be more than happy. Plus the lure of new skins might see new players trying out wvw for a chance to get them… One can dream.
You are essentially not allowed to utilise anything that will allow you to make more than one key press per key press. However, it’s not uncommon to see people making use of the hardware (1spams for rams, treb macros, etc).
I personally don’t think it’s all that gamebreaking as such tasks are extremely mediocre at the best of times but I don’t make the rules, Anet does.
I would like some wvw exclusive armor and weapon skins.

I like the idea myself but many would cry that too much effort would be placed on ‘PvE’ areas of WvW.

Why would rank be linked to wvw ranks. I have 2700hrs game time account wide, with 1000hrs on my Mesmer commander (which I don’t really play anymore now) and the rest of my time spread fairly evenly across my 7 other alts. None of my characters are above rank 30. You saying I am too much of a noob to be a commander according to your rules?
Wvw exp = run around in the Zerg and press 1. Anyone who actually runs supply, builds siege and scouts is going to be sitting on a much lower rank but is, in my opinion a much better wvw player than any of those zerglings.
Rethink your idea. It’s plain wrong.
