Well to be honest, what else could they fill the extra 100 levels with? It’s not like the other 400 levels where the items you could make got better and rarer with time. The only thing rarer than exotics (craftable at lvl 400) is ascended, so there really isn’t the gap fillers from 400-500.
That would just make it too profitable to be a little zergling spamming 1.
I get that people want WvW to be more profitable, but it’s not easy to do without making zerging the major way to make a profit…
I for one would like to see more incentive given to people who play wvw the way it was designed. Like a siege operators fee for instance, where you get a small income every time you damage an enemy structures wall or gate with siege in service of your server. At least this would even out the disparity between zergling income and the more essential siege operators. At the very least the operator can recover the coin (s)he invested in buying the plans.
Why don’t you give spvp a quick go of each class you don’t need do any leveling or gear grinding. The mechanics of spvp is quite a lot different to WvW but you can at least get a feel for class mechanics.
It does depend on what you actually want to do in wvw too. General consensus is that engineers have one of the highest skill caps in the game if that’s what you are trying to go for, although the versitility of the elementalist might draw you in.
Do you prefer to play direct damage or DoT’s, support, control or glass cannon because while every class can do a bit of each but some are better than others. It just depends on build because you can be a tanky support guardian or glass cannon guardian with a simple change of traits (for minimal cost) and armor.
No chance you can remove the ‘up to level 20’ part. I am shocked Anet didn’t foresee it’s founding playerbase to not have use for something this restricted. I know so many people who have no use for these level boosters.

Might help you get new bugs associated with this Sigil looked at if you post on the topic that’s already been seen by an Anet dev.
It may be because unlike all other runes, these runes list the exact same benefits as the first lines of the superior runes with no scale back due to runs rarity.
For instance 2 minor runes still state they improve torment duration by 15% just like two superior runes do.
25K kills is 5 maxed slayer awards for the PvE players. Their mobs don’t run away and barely put up a fight.

Devon said it will get done in 3-4 months time (lets be real ‘by the end of the year’ certainly isnt going to mean september or october, and likely not even november if current progress is antyhing to go by). Its highly unlikely that the fix would wipe out everyone’s progress.

I think the best solution would be that at the very end of this content scarlet comes down and says:
“Now now, while all you little PvE zerglings have been farming my minions for massive amounts of gold and drops, the real heros have been defending your borderlands in the mists! That’s why they are all getting precursors and you get a kitten-slap in the face! Toodaloo!”
Devon said they were going to adjust it a while back to make some of the other titles more achievable. However that’s all we got to go on, nothing was mentioned about it in the dev livestream either.
Don’t get your hopes up on this being fixed any time soon.

It’s a mistake to aim a game toward being thematically correct at the cost of, you know, fun.
Are the fights in keeps not that much more intense when a prolonged siege has melted away both parties supply to the point where attackers are forced into making decisions like “kitten we really need supply for more siege but can we risk sending guys out to run supply? If the enemy notice they could rush the position and drive us out”
On the same token, defenders will often be thinking “this is it guys, our last 100 supply, we gotta make this count, defend those AC’s at all costs because we won’t be getting any more!”
I have had some great battles at inner keeps because the lack of supply added an element of uncertainty and vulnerability to either side whereby you could react on the others action and turn the tide. Almost like interrupting a heal, rushing an enemy position cating your walls while some of them ran for supply can mean the difference between losing or keeping your structure.

I thought the shot that drains supply from stuctures only does so if it hits a supply depot. Or did I just imagin that.
Hills and garry depots are nowhere near outer walls that can actually be damaged in the current conventional “treb from safety spots” so it would require less safe trebs and even then the only depot I can think of that could be hit while still hitting a destructible outer wall is Garry northeast.
Bay on the other hand… The southern outer depot is right next to the two wall people already go for when building lake tower trebs. All up I see this being more of an issue against towers than keeps and towers are already pretty simple to take as it is.

Change the utility to become a chained 2 part skill.
First to place, second to pick up.
When picked up have banners replace the offhand weapon so you can still use bursts and weaponswap while looking cool (eg. sword in one hand, banner in the other!) and just change the 4 and 5 skills to be banners 2 and 3 skills.
If you weapon swap to a two-handed weapon the banner can become attached to your back but still replace the 4 and 5 skills (just have different character animation when you cast them to reflect not having them in your hand at the time).
If you go the whole way to make banners like kits you take something away from the uniqueness of the engi class so if you do this the banner is still usable but different enough from the engi kits.
RNG everywhere! Guess my characters will continue to have terrible wvw skills because I love them all too much to pick a single one.

Only because it’s common knowledge that people will complain if things are bad but generally not speak up if things are fine.
People go to a restaurant and have a good meal and a good time, how often do they go find a forum or Internet site to go tell the world of your good time? Not as much as the people who have a terrible time and poor service and then vent and tell the world about it.

Take for instance elementalist skill Eruption [info taken from the wiki].
Bleeding (six stacks): 12 s (3060 damage)
Lets assume the elementalist has no points in fire (and therefore no added condition duration) and the elementalist uses +40% duration food that would take the duration up from 12 seconds to 16.8 seconds (12×140%).
If you was to then hit someone who has -40% duration (16.8×60%). This would reduce the duration from 16.8 seconds to 10.1 seconds.
That’s why -condi duration food is better than +condi duration food.
Auto firing trebs would be easier to take out. Trebs currently need to be manned to fire and as such the operator can adjust to fire defensive shots if he notices build sites going up. An autofireing treb would not be able to do this.
And the argument about having armies of ac’s protecting the trebs is quite silly. If you are prepared to sit on an AC and defend a treb for the good of the server, you are doing something just as boring as manning the treb itself.
I think it would open up more interesting shots if the asura had walk turned on and always tries to walk to the centre of the arena.
I haven’t seen any of them with green name tags.

Anet has 4 teams working on new PvE content, you can call that understaffed.
I always thought people on trebs were just using macros. I couldn’t imagine a human being deciding to spend their free time actually using a treb.
For the good of the server….
People don’t enjoy fixing walls and gates, or building cannons and oil to be fun but we do it because it needs to be done. Just a shame that while we do the boring shizzzz for the good of the server the zerglings get all the Wxp and champion lootbags.
People QQ when transfers were free, people QQ when you have to pay gems…
Just earn the transfer fee and transfer. I had to do it and so should everyone else.
Like I said, if it takes to long to generate a completely new map tweaks to the existing ones (mentioned a couple posts up) could be an option.
hi, we are having a lot fun fighting right now in SBi,
we waited so long for you guys to confront us at this tower, however something weird happened.A guildie and i was fighting this guy from the guild named [Fox], we manage to put him into down state, then my guildie finishes him but nothing happens (he is still in down state still alive) then i finish him 3 times in a row ( the full animation shows up, i am not interrupted) but nothing happens as well (he is still alive), then his teammates come and rezz him. Later on we fight him again, but as soon as his health reach about 5% ( as seen on the screenshot) all attacks started to miss and then he just pop out. I hope that you guys will be doing something about it.
That happens due to lag. On your screen the guy is dead on the floor in front of you but on his he is a couple meters away meaning your finish misses because it’s out of range.
It happens when trying to Rez downed/dead players too and most commonly seen when someone falls off a cliff and dies half way up the cliff face. It’s not hacks.
As last week, less than 12 hours after reset, 50% of NA matches are heading for blowouts. At least its consistent.

50%? We must be looking at different info… Sure t2 and t3 arent great, but other than that…?
I mean the only reason t7 is bad is because anvil rock is in it and they don’t wvw anymore, and the next closest ‘blowout’ is t5 but it far from GG just yet…
That is really awesome, but with 51 total servers, that would require more maps than we currently have in the game. Which wouldn’t be feasible in anything shorter than years, several in fact. I’m hoping we can at least start introducing some variety, maybe even different home maps, sometime relatively soon, but this version is essentially unworkable.
I don’t think it has to be that extreme. The maps we have are not terrible I just think they couple be personalised a little so that red green and blue are not all exactly the same.
I personally was thinking something along the lines of implementing the dragons corruption, like green borderland suffering the effects of zhaitans corruption, blue Jormag’s and reds Kralkatorrik’s. What this would essentially mean is the landscape would be subtly changed in areas.
Examples could be that the crystal corruption of Kralkatorrik could have completely crystallised the lake area near water camp but also created additional traversable pathways to south hills gate via the area near the harpy event. And Zhaitan’s corruption could have erected large bone-like structures making it more difficult for green to treb bay from garrison.
Those are just a couple of ideas of what you could do but there is quite a lot of ways you could use the existing resources you have and tweak them to become more unique.

Defense/Upgrade mastery:
- Personnel upgrades and additions you order finish 50% faster.
- Structural upgrades you order require 20% less supply.
- Purchase upgrades for 25% less coin.
- Structural upgrades you purchase are fitted with anti-personnel spikes. (Grants retaliation [based on 2500 power])
- ‘Hire Additional Guards’ upgrades you purchase now spawn a Veteran Sentinel who slowly patrols the exterior walls of a structure and will ping the mini map of allied players if (s)he locates enemy forces. (Limited to 2,000 range enemy detection and 20,000 range for player minimap pings).

It wont make any difference, people will still 1spam around in a big zerg getting lots of wxp off those pvd bronze champion’s.
Make defense more rewarding, that’s what wvw is about anyway. Conquest and control… People cant pvd if there are people interested in defending said doors and rewarded accordingly for their efforts.
I would guess that he didnt bank on ebay throwing in the “qq why no fight in the open” towel just because they were behind.
You can bet your life on it that ebay wouldnt have given up so easily if they were a couple thousand shy of first place but alas the weather obviously wasn’t fair.

That won’t happen. If kill 4 players you potentially earn the same as taking a tower, and spamming 1 tagging enemies isnt all that hard for little zerglings to do…
I’ll be happy the day defenders get decent rewards.
I think it’s made so that legendaries, when duel wielded, will only show the effects of the one in the main hand to prevent weird things happening.
This Sigil doesn’t proc when in combat and swapping attunements on an elementalist. I have video proof of this happening of you need it but I am currently away from my computer.

I am sure a great majority of the community would love more info on this subject. Vague ‘its not an overnight job’ comments don’t do much to ensure us thakittens currently being looked at or at least planned to be looked into.
Quality of life stuff like this is arguably more important than the wvw progression system already implemented…
Yep. Don’t defend, don’t care about anything todo with wvw and only try to kill masses of enemy players. That’s how you get Wxp, funny thing is the people who actually use the bonuses (defenders) are the ones that get the least Wxp.
Shame I am in the defenders category :/
The last time Arenanet tried to buff defence we had the whole arrow cart debacle.
Reward defenders – yes please.
Buff defence – no / reconsider.
Your idea of reward is very different to the average zerglings idea of reward.
Zerglings won’t defend if they don’t get any monetary/Wxp/xp/karma rewards from it.
Wow t1 sounds like a horrible place to play wvw. I don’t know why more people don’t transfer away from that.
Interesting idea.
My issue is with the Wxp increase across the board.
Currently if I defend a tower and somehow manage to pull off a gold it’s 112wxp, if I manage to get gold for 15 mins (5 defences) I would earn myself 560 Wxp. Now if I was to go out into the Zerg in arou d 15 mins i could find myself fighting an enemy Zerg and spam guardian staff 1 potentially earning myself 15-20+ kills which is a maximum of 900-1200 wxp. That’s a difference of 340-640 wxp!
Let’s say we double the Wxp across the board, so a tower is worth 224wxp and players are worth a maximum of 120 each. Say the same events as above happen, my tower defence would net me 1020, and the player encounters would get 1800-2400 wxp making the difference 680-1280 Wxp!
See how this makes zerging much more attractive? It’s becoming even more rewarding to ignore your structures and run around spamming auto attack, and that’s before we even factor in any rewards for taking structures which are also a lot higher than any defence rewards are…
The funny thing is, I play wvw for the ppt the way it was designed, yet I am 100% certain that people who only enter wvw to participate in GVG events are much much higher ranks than I am even though I put a lot of hours/gold/siege into wvw. It’s upsetting.
