And that’s probably the main reason it was added. A fully fortified tower/keep shouldn’t be able to be taken in a matter of minutes no matter how many people are banging on the gate.. Doesn’t seem fair that it takes a couple hours to fully upgrade something and then a zerg can just build 3 – 4 rams and get in within a few minutes..
also I think it needs some adjustments but I just don’t see how it ruined the game.
So you prefer open field fights? Then what does siege disabler have to do with any open field fights? Absolutely nothing and how does it ruin the game? Learn some new tactics then building multiple rams at once and PVD’ing a gate
Some people say in large groups +40% food is useless cause there is so much cleansing going on (or should be). Now roaming on the other hand, just check the persons food and choose your fights.
Seems to be lots of posts in the wvw forums lately that keep bringing PVP into the discussions. That game mode already exists and if you want that type of play then go to pvp!
Since we on the pvp topic in wvw forum, why not add hammers to each keep that can shoot lasers at players attacking any of our towers… haha just kidding.. don’t do it anet
I second this. I feel like I lose a lot of players when as a commander I come back to defend a tower or even the keep. If you are defend your garri against a 100 man attack for 3 hours you should get rewarded as a hero not soar fingers and exhaustion.
Wow 100 men attacking for 3 hours.. That’s a lot of heavy loot bags right there from all those kills.
Speed build of ram if there are defenders, wait till they disable one ram then speed another ram. If they disable the second then speed build a third. About time they grab supply to disable the next ram they are doing few things:
1: wasting double supply to disable multiple rams
2: wasting their disablers
3: the first ram disabled will be ready soon while they are wasting supply and disablers for the next rams
Maybe to avoid trash talk or verbal abuse from others??? Even now people can get your name if they know how and they usually whisper you with QQ’s followed by trash talk.
I can last maybe 1 hour in PVP before the trash talk between others just gets to me.
Sorry but I’m happy that the enemies can’t whisper me at will to cry and complain about this and that.
If any of the plans have to do with turning WvW into EoTM/MegaServer then I will find a new game to play. I’ve been on same server since I started, have seen the best and worst of the server so far and pretty much everyone gets along pretty well. EoTM is full of backseat commanders, trash talkers, trolls and just about every server tool piled up on one map.
Since MegaServer the only community that is left is the WvW community. Before Megaserver Lion’s Arch used to be the spot to to call out for more help in WvW when it was needed. Now that’s pretty much gone and I’d rather turn off map chat in any PVE map cause most maps are full of backseat commanders, trash talkers, trolls and just about every server tool piled up on one map.
WvW is pretty much the only reason I’m still playing this game but I can tell you that since MegaServer you will rarely catch me doing any sort of PVE. World bosses don’t even exists for me anymore since MegaServer has been around.
So whatever the fix is, all I ask is don’t turn WvW into EoTM/MegaServer battles!
I will be putting this post in several threads. I just want to say that I really think it should be cheating that a server is allowed to tank for a few weeks to be taken down to bronze lvl just so they can dominate. I am speaking of GoM. They were Silver then just before the Tournament then tanked really bad a few weeks to be taken down to Bronze and it is obvious in their last 2 weeks in this league. The week before the tournament they completely Zerged and out numbed every on on the maps and won so bad that the first week of this tournament they had to hold back till the last 2 days and then come out in force. By allowing a server to do this The ppl that run the game have allowed then to set the deck in their favor. and as far as I am concerned that is cheating, and it is being allowed by ArenaNet and NCSorft.
GoM tanked? When tourny was announced we took 3rd place that week (and tourny was announced on a Thursday so that gave us a day and half to lose) 2nd place the week after that(wait shouldn’t we be 3rd if we are tanking?) and we took first place the next week(1st! dang we are going up to silver, shoulda tanked more). Its more like we were rebuilding. GoM got hurt in Silver and the PVE’ers went back to PVE!! Now they are somewhat back for the new tourny. Holding back till last two days? NAH I was out there fighting for very long hours each and everyday.. Get your facts straight cause right now you look like a poor sport..
Getting massive lag spikes in WvW, game freezes and drops down to 1 fps. Happens at random times and mostly during fights but it doesn’t matter if fighting a zerg or a group of 5 or less. Before feature patch I’ve never had this problem and only time I saw lag before patch was a 3 way in SM lords room or frames drop a little when a zerg is around. Nothing like the lag spikes Im getting now
Is this bug going to be fixed before the start of the WvW tourny? or should i just give up hope now and find a new game to play… I’m thinking, find a new game to play
Yup, that is right. I can down players yet can’t use any finisher on them. Both in pvp and wvw but if i die people can finish me?? Already tried to re-log and same thing happens. Please look into this. I only wvw and right now this game is BROKEN!!!
not zoom hack but speed hacker. yet nothing will happen as hes been doing it everyday for past week.
also need more report options for things like this. botting/scamming closest match yet I’ve seen cheaters months later after reporting them multiple times for botting/scamming
After the latest patch I see the gear icon above random players, pets, npcs, random objects and mobs. I haven’t left Dry Top map so not sure if it is just in this zone. Attached some screenshots.
