Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!

Aren’t there? There is kegbrawl (permanent), dragon ball (temporary), the moa racing (permanent), and few others coming.
Why don’t we have the ‘gamer’ title like in gw1? An overarcing title track where you are rewarded for every minigame, temporary or permanent, you play. Alongside this overarcing title there should be seperate title tracks for every minigame, temporary or permanent.
Dragon ball was fun, but the rewards were lacking and the lack of a decent title track killed it for me.
This would be a fun addition to the achievement.

Theres just a real increase in premades. I’m getting more premades than non-premades. Solo q split can’t come soon enough.
People just see these ‘lines’ from their individual standpoint. They want to survive long/do much dmg —> more loot, etc.
They forget there can be a team aspect and then the other lines can be very useful/fun for what you want to do.
Remember this about the future. So we will get more permanent updates in the future.

He said they’re gonna update the dungeons through the living story. As in giving a meaning to the changes.
If living story is consistent, it pretty much becomes permanent content only with more variety. You can expect the temporary dungeons to come back in fractals, so there’s that.
They said on stream, there was a decap but the ui didn’t update that. That not true?
Anyway, apparantly blue still should have won ’cus of the tie-system in place.
We need those Automated tournaments (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).

What if he hit the max rank in the first year? I’m used to high-grind titles/achiev from gw1 and I think it should be like that.

I did 3 matches an hour ago. It felt better for me. I still have to play more and during prime time but its a start. I won 2 with 500-400 and lost 1 400-500. One win was against a premade. All the matches had people from gloryrank 35 too 50 (So I think rating-wise pretty much in the same range).
Anyway, weird team comps will always happen in solo q which isn’t a problem rly. I still think r1 shouldn’t be allowed whatsoever in tournies. And random teams against premades will keep happening until theres a split.
Give winners 5 coffers and the top players (kills) another 3. Give the losers also a few. Give us a title track to work for. Combine it with the gamer title a la gw1. And it would be more enjoyable.

You will keep getting full premades in that range I’m afraid. Most people who got there don’t solo q because they’ll lose ranking/ run with teams ‘cus it’s primetime. Anyway, let’s hope solo q gets in sooner than later. I don’t think the queue times will get better though.
In this mini-game it’s actually easy to ‘carry’ your team. I win about 75% of the games. It’s all about the kills, unless pvp where you need to hold different points etc. But ye the idle people are an annoyance.
No, it is a month. New stuff will come alongside in the next couple weeks though.
The game has a cash shop. RNG boxes are one way for them to make money. You don’t wanna take your chance, then don’t do it. We can get most stuff without using the gem store. The only thing that’s harder are those weapon skins.
Dunno, I’m a pvper though so it might help a bit. But I get topscore often. Just learn the skill spawnpoints and learn what they do. Practice your dodging a bit. Zerging is also an easy way to get some kills.
Ye, I’m pro this even though I don’t mind the way it’s implemented with this event. It’s the best alternative atm. Just post the odds.
Ye, same here. Though I would rather farm ’em through dragon ball but there seems no incentive once you have the achiev.

Would it be possible to increase the rewards for it? Atm it takes about 7-10 min for a match. It is possible to make the difference as an individual so I can win about 75% of the time. But still that’s only 1 coffer each 10 min.
I managed to get the achiev and now I ‘feel’ pushed towards the holograms because they drop much more coffers. But still If there was some title progression for dragon ball I wouldn’t mind the ‘low droprate’, but there’s literally no incentive to proceed after the achiev. (Except for the fun part)
Why not reward some more coffers to the winners, 1 for the losers and several for the topplayers (top kills etc). And add in some fancy title track a la gw1 titles.
Off-topic: I want more title progression a la gw1. Which may be very well grindy. There are almost no special titles except in WvW/Pvp. Only in pvp there’s a nice title progression but I’d like to see more for the minigames/WvW progression.
Regular boxes will be cheap too at the end of the event. So before buying anything from the gem shop I would just play normally and wait if you get a drop. Decide at the end of the month if you really want one and buy coffers from tp/gem store.
^They just need to implement the Automated tournament structure. They talked about it at launch, but i’ll guess we’ll never get it… It would be a good way for some consistent tournaments with better rewards and a natural easy way to get more teams forming.
I’m pretty sure most of us will have a ticket by the end of the MONTH. It has been live on day. Just play and if you really really want one. Just try and buy as many at the end of the month. Prices will be very low then and you can try your luck then.
Would people accept it more (whine less) if anet gave the exact odds? Then I’m all for it.
It won’t be fixed until there’s a split between team/solo and a rating sweep. Then things can settle. I just think it’s too messy atm.
You can carry pretty much your team in this game. Which makes it more awesome imo. Unlike in pvp where you pretty much need your team/comp. Theres more room for individual skill here.
Just learn the map layout, the skill spawns, learn to dodge and it’ll go much better. I like the fast-paced combat. I just wish there would be a title for this.
I was wondering why there aren’t more titles in GW2. And by that, I mean the more hard to get ones. I liked the system in gw1 where you could get several titles when you progressed one specific thing. And I don’t mind that some of ‘em would be crazy grindy. And yes I know we got some of ’em in WvW/PvP, but I’d like some in the minigames too.

I like it ‘cus you can carry most games. Unlike in pvp you need a team to not get frustrated. In this minigame, if you’re good you can make the difference. Which I like.
If these are the normal coffers, thats very rare but it should be. Those coffers drop a lot. I got 60 coffers in about 30/60 min. If you keep doing that the whole month, the chance you’ll get a tickets is pretty high. Worst case you buy ‘em of tp in a few days when they’re cheaper. Or you try your luck with the rich coffers.

I just miss the ability to get crazy achievements for these like in GW1. Those were insanely ‘grinds’ but it was fun once you obtained ‘em. Win 20 matches is nothing and you don’t get any title for doing it

My guess would be by the end of the month we’ll have them. It took one month for the extend option, so might be one more month for the actual token.

It should be better with the tuesday patch. Let’s hope it actually gets better. But until soloq/team q gets in won’t be a lot better.
But why do you find it a bad design? If they don’t play carefully with their initiative, they’re pretty much screwed. I don’t know what’s so bad about it. Maybe from the playing perspective, but you don’t play a thief, or do you?
People left because the hype on the pvp side was huge. There was a huge smack in the face when it didn’t appear to be what was promised. Now the community is recovering from that smack. We are finally getting the desired features so the community can push the boundaries further. It will grow, slowly but it will get there.
I think anet has a lot on their sleeve to get the population back on track. But they’ve learned from the initial release that you can’t hype it without proper ‘actions’. First the pvp side needs to get rock solid then you can expect a big marketing push with maybe some money thrown around at tournaments. Let’s hope so.
Happens on my necro when I put down a well. The well takes more presses than any other skill. Very weird :/
