Blame warrior community that been saying hb is fine the way it is cus they wanted to run their cookie cutter skullcrack lolz build when people asked rework it and make mobile. Olny warrior community is here to blame really and i do not feel sorry for them at all. Actually the opposite.
no. this is the devs game, they are responsible for the state of their classes.
warrior is looking terribly simple and lacklustre in the face of these elite specs, and rev. it’s just so limited and basic.

Also, the cast time doesn’t matter. A DH can simply use dragon’s maw at 1,200 range from you and Judge’s intervention. So it wouldn’t matter what the cast time was, since the DH will wait to JI until the trap is close to setting. Which is exactly what a guardian would do if hammer 2 still worked with JI.
maw has a cast time tho. just dodge before the jaws close.

That’s a legitimate excuse, those with decent latency shouldn’t be up in arms as much. At the end of the day, if your internet/latency is solid, it really is an issue of reaction timing.

This video is a load of bullkitten. 1, none of this is on points, you can avoid the traps all you want but the traps are still there besides Fragments which is still there giving him 5 stacks of Aegis. He says the daze is an identifier but never actually shows it once in the entire video. He only dodges the maw because he knows it’s coming, he doesn’t dodge the maw animation, he dodges any trap animation, good thing the DH wasn’t hitting him with his weapons at the same time or any allies at all on the map. He says melee pressure but hurrpy durrpy durrp the only problem is the weak kitten traps and daze spam and knockbacks at melee range. You go ranged and his weapon is better than the rest of the range weapons since True Shot has low cooldown compared to volleys, a projectile destroying attack every 10 seconds and more basic attack damage the rest of weapons besides 1k plus range Ranger LB that does around the same.
i feel like I understand why you complain on the forums all the time.

depends on class, for warrior I would almost say its required to not use elite to be competitive.
in regard to engineer it just depends on build. condi won’t want scrapper, my carrion build doesn’t need to either. scrapper is great for bruiser melee builds, but rifle offers a very strong and relevant skill set so it’s still a good choice for on point. I wouldn’t fear scrapper on regualr engi.
ranger isn’t viable without druid, and revenant seems to need glint. so for those two elites seem essential.

Well on the other hand, almost all of the abjured’s builds from last ESL were nerfed, tempest was the only one that wasn’t nerfed. I mean blighters boon, adaptive armor/hgh and revenant mobility and sustain being a bit to a lot weaker certainly means that their comp isn’t being 100% biased from the devs as much as some people think, but that’s just my perspective as a filthy casual.
believing that anet are balancing PvP around wanting the abjured to win every tournament is insane. it’s just obviously not the case. if it was, then why was the blighters boon double glint rev synergy removed? Nos was an immortal God with that.
guardian is the easiest class to play in the game. so it’s a great starting point.
medi, & medi variants like burn guard & dps dragon hunter are simple & forgiving but reward finesse. they are also very fun.

Egun has a leap, & hammer 3 is three leaps. use those for mobilty. I prefer inventions over firearms for the 25% speed & sustain, but my 3kit build is pretty different from that one.Oh yeah you’re right!
The acid bomb, backwards leap. Yeah I guess I used it more for kiting than the idea than anything.
Hammer 3 had a clunky feeling to it. Chasing with it felt awkward.

an awesome combo is mortar 5, egun 4, hammer 3. it gives 4 stacks of might, acid bomb & rocket charge do strong damage, & the water field gets blasted & leaped thru three times. huge heals, huge damage. i love using it on people.

you must be scrub as hell if you think this the end for scrapper.
sky is not falling, nerfs were reasonable & deserved.
it’s fine AA is still good, & has great synergy with holebrak & HGH making you into an anti condi beast.
I’ll still be running perfectly weighted tho, & still be wishing it reduced hammer cds.
you can hit 10sec stun on engi. my carrion build stacks 8burns on you, that last for 8secs & do 20k damage. to make sure you die i would moa you (3 sec), magnet pull, over charged shot, then air blast. if you start the cc after moa the enemy is locked down for ~8 sec, & if you can get some power dame in too they take about 30k damage & die.
for 10sec youd want slick shoes, & bomb kit, mine, or ram. i used to run bombs & mine way back & the ping pong was excellent. however you can still blind, evade, block & stunbreak. it’s awful if you run into someone like me who runs stunlock builds & you cant do any of those, but ya gotta adjust your build or your play. maybe start learning engi stun animations so you can dodge them better idk.
warrior can achieve a far longer stun than 10 sec, far longer. i know because i love stunlocking people so i play the two classes with the most cc, & run super cc heavy builds. shield bash, skull crack, headbut with the 30% to stuns is over 10 sec & no hammer skills even need to be used.

if minstrel druid was still a thing i would expect to see abjured test it at least. when I fought the build all i could think of is ‘i want this ranger on my team’. there is a high chance druid would have become a must have class like ele & theif used to be.
abjured running druid is something i could easily see. not so much now, as minstrel was basically built for druid & formed the backbone of the class.

Yes and when engi was able to go stealth pull and then do the “100 nades” they got nerfed because it was one shotting people everywhere. Nor can they pull you into traps that auto daze making it impossible to react.

these are the rules for traps… get over it.. there are a lot of tutorials for “pros” like you that explain how to counter DH and his traps

Show me a vid where you can counter a DH with a used to be balanced class like Warrior..
warrior has issues right now, its a poor class to do comparisons on. I’ve been doing fine vs DH on regular engineer and scrapper, and my pal can beat it with mes/chrono. it’s an issue if you eat the traps and can’t recover, but that’s the same for any zerk build.
has it got area denial? yeah dude, and if you can’t handle that I’m sorry dude. it’s just like well necro, only go in the AOE if you can handle it.

I’m still only playing scrapper for PvP. anet need to fix warrior before I return to it.
yeah, you need to take them into an arena and teach them how to play. I’ve helped a lot of players get better this way. taught a lot a scrub pve players how to not get their kitten handed to them.
1v1 practice is hugely valuable. people need to know what the other player is doing to them.

fast hands need to be baseline.
adrenaline gain when you are attacked needs to be baseline.
other changes, especially something to get us out of tripple stance would be dope, however- those two traits need to be baseline. two forced trait lines mean you have to give up 20% damage for a power zerker build, and its just not worth it.
maybe you just need to take your guildies and train them? 1v1 practice in an arena is super helpful.
a few pals brought me in to set up a team comp for their guild and teach them how to play stronghold, because they were losing again and again. it’s pretty simple when you get the hang of it. put your best player on defense and have the second best attack.
love everything apart from the utility and heal gyros. those are absolute trash.
hammer is a dream, traits are great, the fun gyro is really clutch, and sneak gyro is useful for wvw.
as soon as I saw a minstrel druid played well in PvP I wanted one in my team. I miss the amulet, I would have preferred to just have druid blinds nerfed than lose an amulet. however, considering how difficult me and my pal found them to kill (we were reaper and scrapper and it was a quest) and Chaith’s input perhaps the removal of minstrel amulet was warranted.
after all, I’m not an arrogant idiot who plays bunker thief.
they should have just removed ranger tbh. that’s why the amulet was removed, ranger was about to become a popular choice for tournament teams.

HGH nerf is fine, kind of surprised they didn’t half the stacks. the nerf was deserved I feel.
AA nerf is a bummer, but I’ve been using hammer traits so it doesn’t effect my build at all. can still get 25 might with those traits too.

shouts will still work for spvp, but it’s a poor mans druid right now.
DPS warrior has an incredibly hard time in PvP.
in wvw you will still be able to make warrior work, perplex with berserker is stupid good etc. however roaming is never really fair, and it depends on what you’re fighting.
I’ve ditched warrior for PvP currently, just playing scrapper which is like warrior + engineer. warrior needs baseline fast hands, and baseline adrenaline when attacked.

Because they have their F3 skill and a leap that heals double the normal if not interrupted, Fragment’s of Faith gives 11 stacks of Aegis per 36 with the trait and massive amounts of CC in general. Also 6 seconds of protection per 24 seconds too.
f2 can be interrupted. fragments of faith give agies, but it doesn’t stack and you can’t get ageis from it if you have it. you will get a few blocks from it, but it’s doubtful you’d get all of them. seems about as good as a blind field. f3 is nice, but they often give up the invun on heal or elite. so similar amount of invuns.
I have had no more trouble taking DH down than I would with a medi guard. it’s pretty simple don’t eat the AOE and counter pressure hard and not into blocks. it’s not like the druid, now that is tanky class.

dude its like well necro. stand in the AOE and you get what’s coming to you.
getting good at just running over the edge of the trap to activate it is something I recommended. you are out of the AOE by the time the animation activates.
I’ve been running cele scrapper with pack runes, H TK Egun S Mortar. few builds give me much trouble, except for those minstrel druids. goodness those things don’t die easy.
your choice of iron blooded over HGH tells me all I need to know.
passives wont save you if you’re a hungry hungry hippo. run the meta elixer soldier build, not knights if you want some sustain. knights and iron blooded is not a good combo. HGH soldiers is still strong, can for sure hold it’s own in the meta.
no runes. no HGH. blast gyro. smh

like, gosh what is the issue here? the traps do damage when you stupidly shadow step into them? that’s nothing new, thieves have always been teleporting into AOE and dying.
I’ve just been edge triggering, watching animations, pressuring and evading. no issues here.
