I would say that a pre-order doesn’t get you a CD key thus you get no beta access. If you really want beta access pre-purchase through the in game store.
I miss that login screen. I have fond memories the first time I booted it up and the GW2 music started playing. Good times.
I mean thier isnt even tax on amazon.
Maybe not when you buy from Amazon but when I buy things from them they do tax me at my local rate.

Bought it. Have no regrets. Will be quite happy on release day.
QFT
Even if they gave them daily laurels they still can’t transfer the T6 mats, or the money they sold them for on the TP, to another account. That is if the T6 mats are even on the limited TP list of items they can buy/sell.
1095 days is 3 years

I would argue that I have more than gotten my $60 worth out of this game since launch and that I will more than get my $50 worth out of the expansion. I want to play with more people so anything ANet can do to get more players is fine in my book.
The only issue I had was that they were releasing a new class but were not releasing a character slot to go with it. That has been rectified and I am once again a happy GW2 player.
Don’t speak for me please. As someone who has played since beta (both GW1 and GW2) I find the $50 price tag for the expansion to be a perfectly reasonable price. I see nothing wrong with constantly trying to get a larger player base and am in no way offended, kittened off or put out they get something for free. As an early adopter of any item, whether it’s a TV, a video game console or a PC game, I understand that I will pay more than those that come after me. This is no different.
But some of us are still not happy because even with it, we are not getting our money’s worth!
That’s, like, your opinion man.
Value is different for different people. I don’t feel that other games you pay a monthly fee give me my moneys worth and yet millions of people feel differently. So while you don’t think the expansion is worth the money, and you aren’t alone, there are plenty of people that feel they are getting their moneys worth, and they aren’t alone either.
tl;dr Decide for yourself if the expansion is worth $50 or not because no one else can for you.
A better way to handle it would have been to make all the racial skills available to all races. In sort of how the EotN skills were earned by doing some rep challenges or something so each race could unlock them. That way the racials can still be viable but don’t require you to play a certain race to make the class viable.
I know some of them wouldn’t make sense lore wise but I’d enjoy playing an asura that could have bear form. :P
That would entail making a lot of new skills. Most likely too much work for too little gain.
The OP didn’t ask any questions…

It’s like you didn’t even read the answer posted on every page of this topic.
It was hinted at that a system for accessories was on its way so don’t trash any ascended items you have just because you can’t change their stats yet.
At least until they blow up LA again…
Nerfs won’t affect HoT at all since the entire expansion is going to be level 80. No down scaling, no nerf.
You will need to select the reward track you want the points earned in pvp to be applied to. Once selected it will remain selected until it is completed. As long as it is not a one time track (which dungeon tracks are not) you can select it again as many times as you like.
Most of the WBs that used to be objects were changed last patch and can now be crit. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_updates
Dungeons won’t change with HoT. The only thing that probably will is the number of people running dungeons vs the number of people experiencing the new content.

If you’re just gonna trash your account you might as well give your stuff away. We didn’t do anything to make you mad.
Plus…
Well, bye.
Any item you get as a level reward can’t be salvaged. Also any item you purchased at a karma vendor can’t be salvaged.
Perhaps post the specific skin(s) you’re looking for and someone can help you. There are quite a few skins and quite a few ways to get them.
I just finished the entire HotW achievement doing nothing but PvP. Never had an issue with one of my skins not unlocking. Just unlocked a weapon skin today on another achievement. Is it an intermittent bug?
You could always PvP to add to your total from doing the paths to speed things up.
If you are looting a monster and it was going to be a rare item and you had a 0.5% chance for the rare item to be an exotic, then 200% Magic Find would change that to be a 1.0% chance of the rare item being exotic.
It would actually be a 1.5% chance. A 100% increase would be a 1.0% chance.
I forget, do they start a new character off with 100% or 0% on the stat page?
If you have 200% Magic Find, then your chance would be 1.0%. If you had a 200% INCREASE to your base Magic Find (so actual Magic Find stat of 300%), then it would be 1.5%.
Your magic find on a new character is 0%. That is to say you receive no increased bonus when it rolls on the magic find table. So to use your numbers if the base chance for a rare item is .5% then the following would be true:
MF 50% = .75%
MF 100% = 1.0%
MF 150% = 1.25%
MF 200% = 1.5%
So on and so forth.
Remember everyone has access to the base magic find percent chance (whatever that is) and the magic find value is your bonus to that base chance.
Yup I did. I always get those two precursors and legendaries mixed up.
Or you could reskin Eternity with Dawn since you like that skin better.
To clarify, you still get the golem banker on each character you make but it is not transferable to other characters because it is soulbound. Thus you can’t abuse the system to permanently have access to the golem on any character on your account.
No, it is now soulbound on acquire.
It was eaten by Mordremoth. It’s very annoying.
I would appreciate a “return to untransmuted state” button.
The problem with player data is too much bias. People use their personal experience to extrapolate what must be true, but usually isn’t.
Rytlock has nothing to do with anything. He just chose a random NPC to illustrate that many people have differing tastes when it comes to NPCs. Just like with people IRL you will like some and dislike others.
It does work for me.
I understand the issue and I’m saying that bans don’t work the way the Emporor.1028 is implying they do. The only account(s) to get banned would be the account(s) engaged in the nefarious activities. The only IP(s) to get banned would be the IP(s) the accounts were logged into while the nefarious activities were taking place.
Thus if the account was truly hacked from an external source it would not affect any of the other accounts.
Native 64-bit game client for this release?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Most likely because WinXP was the most popular operating system and most people weren’t running the 64bit version of it.
The greater diversity in skill options the greater difficulty in skill balancing. I believe this is one of those lessons learned from GW1.
Here’s the thing. If there accounts were hacked and used from the same IP as the others that means someone from that physical location did the hacking. If someone remotely hacked an account then a different IP would be used to connect to the servers and that IP, not your friends IP, would be the one that got banned.
All that has been answered before.
By the community sure but not by a dev who actually knows how the code for the game engine works.
How so? What about the engine prevents race changes from ever being a thing?
A few things that come to mind:
Racial Armor
Racial Skills
Racial Personal Story
But you need to understand you cant see into the future
You said it yourself.
Daily for 1 fractal – 1 Pristine Relic
Daily for completing a set of 4 fractals – 1 Pristine Relic
Chest at end of 4th fractal – 1 Pristine Relic
As others have said it’s not really elitism when a guild is organizing a guild event and prioritizes guild mates. It’s unfortunate that you can’t join their guild but that doesn’t make it the guilds fault for trying to maximize the rewards for the guild and it’s members.
Maybe more voices will help. I’ve been playing GW2 since beta and at no point have I gotten a popup of any kind while playing. The issue is on your end with your computer, not the game.
Keep trying. If you continue to get them every third attempt then you can make a case they might have increased the drop rate. Otherwise enjoy your good fortune and don’t expect the RNG to be that nice again.
When you mouse over the achievement points for that achievement it does tell you your tally out of how many you can earn as a maximum. While it may not be where you want it to be it is listed in the achievement that there is a cap.
I finished the meta achievement and immediately got the IG mail telling me to meet the NPC in the Black Citadel.
