but we want less trenchcoats for males too! females do have more choices in armor, from fully covered, to tight fitting, to skimpy clothing, in mostly all armor weights. but that is NOT the case for male armor, specially medium male armor. the most we can show is our bare arms gasp.
clothing choices in tyria are unrelated since heavy and light armor, and female armor do have more choices than medium armor.
btw completely agree with you on harder to find a game where female armor can be more practical and less stripper-y
exercice isnt enough to lose weight. if you still eat a lot and lots of fat you’ll still be fat. so even if our characters run all the time it’s very likely we can have thicker body shapes. besides if someone wants to have a character like that, why not letting him/her?
I’m all for more and more varied body shapes.
the muscled body for male humans has chicken legs, we a new one with beefier legs.
make norns need a more human proportioned body too. now only female norns can pass for humans, but not male ones.
I had this little idea last night. a movie poster styled drawing featuring of course my character ;D

we should get movie posters for all new chapters haha.
many times I rp alone, in a tavern, surrounded by other rpers and after a while I see if I can get into their rp, gradually. like someone engaging someone else in a conversation.
yeah, that’s the issue. arenaet is supposed to be marketed as being progressive, but having only a hot lesbian couple and making sexy armor mostly (almost only ) for female characters really doesn’t go with the whole “progressive” concept.
ESO uses exactly the same model for costumes, for males or females, and same for armor, and there’s tons of lgbt npc’s too, not only “hot lesbians” that gets old rally quick. If gw2 wants to keep selling the “progressive” image it should probably re think some of these issues too.
I’m pretty casual, and I think gw2 is a good game fo being casual. I only miss being able to see the raids and their bosses though.
well it ultimately depends on how good the person is at RP. mary sues and god levels powerful people are boring and I tend to avoid them.
npc’s are really well scripted in GW2, and they seem pretty lively. it’s a pitty we don’t get to see them anymore after their participation in the story though, I agree…
I love the bio window, I’ve played several games with them and it helps rp a lot, you can know what kind of rp does someone like, more or less the theme of their character, and find people with similar interests.
I doubt it will be added this advanced into the game, but it would be awesome.
I do some WvW once in a while. sometimes roam solo exploring, and sometims zerging to get an armor skin, that’s basically it.
but killing other player’s characters is not my cup of tea…
yeah, many of us like siplicity, not overly ornamented stuff. basic leather armor, leather straps maybe even. form fitting. and please NO more trenchcoats in middle armor, we have more than enough of those!
more form fitting armor please, specially for medium weight for males!
I assume this has been asked multiple times before? sounds like a prety good qol system.
outpost system? I do’t remember how that works.
also i’d love these old daylies to get back, it’s never bad to learn more about our classes, and many things we just forget…
the only problem is that it takes considerably less time to do some of these than the ones we have now…
that’s actually pretty interesting. I wish there were more people trying to think outside the box and be original, sadly many players fall into the same old archetypes. but well, to each their own.
hmm not sure, where is it? =O?
well there’s some dried lake in the video, no?
i just hope we’ll get a new map… and not just story, but we’ll have to see
it depends on who you ask. there are manay ways to do it. I’m a very visual person so I prefer to use as many emotes to go with my texts as I can. if i say my character sits, I use the sit emote, if If I say he laughs I also use that emote. or to go with the mood, like crossing my arms when listening to someone else speak, etc…
others just stand there and do everything with text. at the end of the day look for the way that most fits what you like.
dr catacombs? now I?m curious
datamining ;D
I saw the same thing in reddit. but I doubt they plan to revamp 2 cities in a story chapter
I don’t have issues with a city being destroyed. that being said, DR is beautiful and it would be a real loss to not have it anymore.
besides what would that mean for players who don’t get the chapter? would they be trapped in old DR?
oh I’d like a confirmation for a new map too, crossing my fingers…
don’t forget there’s always the chance that the cinematic in which we see the direction of the attacks, might not be realistic, and they might have not calculated that.
i don’t think they’ll completely destroy it, more like just open one of the walls and then we’ll stop them
i think the new map would be one of the sides of DR, since they’re attacking the walls.
oh my god! I loved it! I’m in love with Quee Jennah now! (well as much as a gay man can be anyway)
also DR under attack? omg omg omgmgomgomg
can’t wait to play it.
but joining a finished instance wouldn’t really show the story progress, no? besides watching the map I don’t see much use for that.
I didn’t know about the summary, is it an npc or something?
I haven’t done any of the raid wings to be honest, but I’m curious if they move the storyforward, and explain a bit more of what we’re seeing in ls3 or it’s not needed at all.
If they actually move the story forward and explain things, I think there should be a way to see what happens for those of us who are not good enough for raiding. for example in wow there’s an easy mode that, even if it doesn’t give the same rewards as normal or hard, it still lets us see the cinematics and see what is happening….
just saw it. sucks the video isn’t available yet though…
to me both ESO and GW2 are the top 2 MMOs (btp) now
I’ve always thought there’s no need to make a same outfit so different for both genders. it’s literally twice the work to make each one, and it takes choices from people, some people would prefer to wear the male version of an outfit on their female toon, and vice versa. I know some small changes have to be made once in a while, like a topless outfit for guys would need at least a bra for females, but other than small changes, there’s absolutely no need to reddesign it completely for each gender. why not have them both available for both genders?
other games, like ESO and others, do it that way and it gives inmediately twice the options that if they were gendered, and also we have more variety, not all people want their female toons sexy and their male toons with a refrigerator armor.
options is always good, and having a way to make more outfits, with less effort is always good too.
what do you think? I don’t think they would do it for existing outfits, but for new ones I think it would be awesome. we’re in 2017 and such drastic differences doesn’t make much sense.
that also goes for any other weapon/mini/pet that makes sounds then…
most games that have content every 2-3 months use artificial gating to limit people from doing it in a day, but the amount is similar.
I’ve played ESO and Neverwinter, and the content each 2-3 months is roughly the same, but GW2 doesnt’ limit it artificially, meaning that some people that are more hardcore and play for hours can finish it in within the day.
Body sliders would be awesome, but unlikely. I’d settle for more customization options. Jewelry, scars, tattoos, make up, etc. And more customizability in clothes too. More options for everyone.
It was obviously and exploit. A permitted one but wasn’t designed that way. Glad it was fixed.
What dragon turns humans though? Zhaitan? Don’t they have to be dead for that first?
I’d love to see more focus on lore. I had the luck of a good guildie who told me the story behind most parts of ascalon. But it would be nice to give the lore more importance. And I don’t mean only books are plates around the world.
Some of us don’t really care about competitive endgame. That’s why we don’t PvP. I care about story, lore, exploration, and sometimes achievements, also curious on how to break maps and glitch to get outside of the boundaries. PvP just doesn’t scratch any of those itches. Simple as that.
They’re still taking salads. Nothing has changed in my opinion for them.
You know what would make outfits much faster? Nott making completely separate designs for males or females. Each version could be sold separately, Simple as that. Takes literally half the time, and gives both genders more choices right away. I’m sick of designs varying so kitten much. Guys get Refrigerator armor, and girls get a sexy bikini armor. It’s ridiculous. If they want to keep things fast and simple, dying do twice the job. The are lots of people who would prefer to wear the other gender version anyway.
taking the dragons fast is not a requirement for newer storylines. these creatures are supposed to wake up once in a while they could just let them sleep for a good while and focus on more pressing matters. I agree that mordremoth going down was waaay to fast and anticlimatic, and I fear the next 2 will be even worse.
if anet feels trapped in the dragon storyline just do another thing in between.
oh I thought the personalized music didn’t work anymore. so I just create a folder next to screen with the appropiate playlists? sounds easy enough!
still for example Lion’s Arch music only sounds in that place, I don’t see a playlist for that….It’s an audio file in the playlist for cities……
oh, but I don’t have the folder, if I make a new one how do I know where I should put the specifics?
(just in case I’m not the one complaining about the music, just curious)

I’d love to see both things in GW2 too! housing can be fun indeed, and I don’t see why the client wouldn’t allow it since we have already guild hals with placeable items, it would be the same but smaller.
and for fishing, it’s relaxing, it’s fun and it could have some uses, like getting some items. I don’t see why not. I can see housing would take a lot of time but start by fishing that should be a simpler system.
will we ever get more customization options? I know bodysliders is probably unrealistic, but there’s still much that can be improved.
new categories for faces specifically. burns, wounds, scars, jewelry(both genders please, don’t give us that obsolete opinion that guys can’t wear cool earrings) sideburns! why don’t we have a simple sideburn option for facial hair? we have plenty of colors for eyes and hairstyles, but like I said, there’s MUCH to improve without needing more complex things like body sliders.
to be honest, I personally don’t really care for a new race, I don’t care for any of the general options people have proposed, and unless it’s a race I really really like, I would alway prefer something else.
that being said, when an issue appears so frequently in forums it’s because people care, and devs should listen to that too.
edit: also there’s ways to make new races that are easier, like variations of already existing races, same voice actors, same story (maybe change the first ones) maybe new cultural armor. elonians? variations of sylvari? think outside the box for this
it’s more of a “be aware your playerbase really wants this, so it might be worth your time and effort”.
