Truth! , lol it would be fine if it was an even matchup were we could test the other servers true capabilities in terms of roaming fights and skirmishes, but with the blobs of all zervers, even my own trying to defend what it can and attack what it can, I doubt arguing with NSP’s forum warriors will be much of a help, like the little boy who brings his big brother to a fight, and yet the little kids outnumbers so much ….. No use arguing with their pro warriors, just like you said pick em off in the battlefield.
Again NSP nothing against most of you, just that I can’t find a fair decent fight in this matchup, I understand ur server has gone through hell, amassed numbers and is here to own, but we have been sitting in t8 for so long we weren’t expecting the good old spankings out there..

This just in… NSP will be the contender for our leagues section, lol forgot they made it from 2 leagues to 3, so I guess I can forsee what will be like when it hits… well umm maybe we can pray Anet gives us 4 leagues and our only foe will be Henge of Denravi

DW me and my bro gank OS all the time, when we find aatleast 2 alone or a group of 4 we make sure to kill the OS tags , also its hilarious when chase down NOVA tags as well, sadly I’ve faced 1 XOXO so far but he was ina blob too….

Highlight of my night was when we stacked to engage DH zerg at Durios. Bird yells go and charges into DH, I follow and get destroyed along with him.. Come to learn, the gate went down and our zerg went inside the tower instead..
Yeah and thats our main zerg in EB your guys send zergs in every Bl if possible, I am talking about roaming not a main zerg lol, when in roaming I somehow never come across 1 or 2 or but a blob of atleat 5+ and if i kill 1 or 2 6 more show up out of nowhere…
If you didn’t notice by the 100 bird song SS’s we had the same exact zerg map hopping.. And ours was smaller then yours, just better.
O and btw that happens to all of us when we are roaming no matter what server it is.. Welcome to not being against a dead server..

Ive seen 50+ man zergs before but when you run into like 3 or 4 different 20-40 man zergs in one map then go to another map and see a 60-80man zerg what the kitten is going on

I didn’t get to play too much this week because of work (sadface), but I just wanted to drop in and say I did have a few pretty fun fights! Was interesting seeing my former NSP buddehs sporting the red names, haha…. And even though you guys killed me mercilessly, I will still share my sandwiches with you xD Except for Kev. No sammys for you (my stacks are still crying).

SBI I couldnt help but notice that after the gvg you all quickly left without other sbi around. Started fight club up on nsp bl, windmill after. Only about 3-4 stayed. down to 1 sbi now. L2pwithoutnumbers.
That’s because they were chasing me around for 10 minutes. I guess they mad at some XOXO trolling, but I didn’t do it! They wanted my kitten anyways lol. But I slipped away eventually, better luck next time guys!

Well you offer [sPvP] duels, to a bunch of WvW players, what do you expect lol?
Why won’t you duel, 2v2, 3v3 etc… in WvW? Are you not a WvW’er? TBH I wouldn’t have a kitten clue where to begin making a sPvP build on my chars I don’t like the mode and I never go there.
To add another point of honesty, I don’t give two shts how good or bad you play GW2.. But I’d be happy to duel you or anyone else with any of my toons (in wvw), don’t worry I play all 6 regularly(ok not the ele!) and use multiple builds on all of them all the time so I am lacking any sort of ascended setup so I’m sure most have that advantage on me.. I also don’t have any legendaries either since I hate pve..
I’m sure anyone else in XOXO would be happy to do so as well.. We’ll gladly 5v5, and perhaps could scrape up a 10v10 if some spca/splt or tm wanted to join in.. But the reason we don’t do higher is mostly because we just don’t have that many online at once..

He was thanking them (SC) for the fights.. We had about 10 battles with them this morning that were 4v4/5v5 and it was a lot of fun. He was sincere that we were disappointed that they stopped coming back.

Agreed. Complaining in the match-up thread is pointless, the numbers are what they are and noone here controls the RNG.
No sense wasting time getting frustrated about a situation where your score is < 50% of the leaders and the Glicko tells you statistically “yes, this is all going according to plan…..goooooood…..goooooood”.
That excuse works for some servers, but not one whos population is what it is because of mass transfers recently flocking to it.
If you’re having trouble with thieves on an engie, sad to say, you aren’t that good. I generally go 20/20/0/30/0 on my engie with a mix of Rabid and apothecary, and I have no trouble against Thieves. (Nor did I have trouble with them when I took a level 3 engie into WvW for funzies)
I know i am not the best, but when the fight is won thanks to the first attack doing 16,000 damage then it doesnt really take much. I can hold my own against all other classes but no counter when you are seen first to a thief.
At least with other classes you have those few seconds to get ready. You are seen by a thief and they are in stealth – Boom Back stab, Heartseeker spam and then dead. How do you counter a burst like that?
I have killed plenty of them – its the ones that spam the same attack over and over, jump into stealth gaining all them benefits and then them either running away or just repeating the same thing over after they have reset the fight and you are left with loads of cool downs while they have none (on weapons)
Just want to say, if a thief is backstabbing you for 16k then he doesn’t have 30 points in Shadow Arts for all those neat on stealth traits you mention. He also has like 2k armor and 14-16k hp at most. Still I’ve never seen a backstab hit that high on a non-upscale. I was however killshotted with 2700 armor for 18k the other day from a warrior on a hill I could not see which was a 1 shot kill.

Many, many posters on these forums seem to be talking about the orb buff as if +50-150 to your stats is game breaking BY ITSELF. Yes, I know banners require the use of a skill slot. Yes, I know they don’t effect everyone on the entire server. Yes, I know they stack with existing buffs, like orbs or divinity runes. No, none of those things demonstrate that having a 50-150 stat deficiency/advantage against your opponent is “broken.” Deal with it.
And yet, this topic isn’t even about the Bloodlust buff, though here you are arguing it.
@Arkanfel: You’re in one of two balanced matches. Your experience doesn’t come close to mirroring the experience of 75% of the other servers.
You do realize that I could use that exact same logic on you, right?
You’re in an imbalanced matchup, which exaggerates the problem beyond what it actually is. The problems you are facing are a function of population, not the buff itself.
Except that unbalanced matches are the norm, not the exception. So in fact what’s happening in those is a better reflection of the game as a whole.
Some fun fights tonight in DH ruins. Think the [redt] ele tunnel visioned me a little too much =p. Also, I’m sorry we picked on you a lot [TIME] norn mesmer. Your toon stands out way too much xD.
We ended up getting him like 10x more later on in another BL.. Eventually he joined party to talk, pretty cool guy.
So, how many of you guys have actually played with the new buffs?
1. How are the buffs applied? Instantly after 3/5 temples are controlled for 2 minutes? Or slowly trickles up to +150 stats over time?
2. How often does the stat get reset? (In game play, not in theory)
3. How much of a difference does this buff make for you server? i.e. were you losing horribly already? Winning? Close match-up?
4. Other than complaints, has your server worked on new fighting strategies? If so, have they worked?
5. The buff is applied server wide or map wide? I am under the impression that the buff is applied on whichever map/world you hold 3/5 temples for 2 minutes. This means that GvG can be held in Eternal Battlegrounds since it does not have any temples, no?
My thinking is that if it takes a minimum of 2 minutes of holding 3/5 temples and the enemy “zerg” is still able to take your BL or keeps, chances are, you would have lost those keeps or BL regardless of buff so I don’t see what all the QQ is about.
If you’re roaming and run into someone with +150 stats than you, chances are, you or your server didn’t care enough about buffs to begin with or you weren’t aware of the positioning of the map and did not respond to reset/contest buffs. No Zerg is going to stay in a BL that is completely theirs unless they are defending. That being said, if your small group isn’t cohesive enough to reset buffs, then buff or no buff, you would’ve lost the fight to a group that was cohesive enough to think about buffs before fighting you. Not saying that people complaining are bad, just saying that there are always ways to counter something. WvW is also a strategic game mode as well as massive PvP, this simply adds another level of strategy to your gameplay. Like someone else already said, “if you don’t like, then don’t play” other than that, good luck to everyone out there.
1- It’s 50 per buff gained from each bl (across all 3 so it adds to 150). It is gained instantly after controlling 3/5 places for 2 minutes. It is not lost until another server gains the buff. The decapping of areas does NOT remove the buff.
2- I’m on NSP. The overpopulated server (Crystal Desert) holds all 3 for the majority of the time. Once in awhile NSP or DH grabs one and keeps it for 5-30mins at most before CD gets it back. CD has held at least 2 of them all day usually 3. In the map I’m in currently they have a 20 man group controlling the area (this is the most we can muster on our map to even defend objectives so we have no chance against that).
3- It certainly isn’t helping that their overpowering zergs now get +3 per stomp on our small groups, hard to say exactly though..
4- I don’t see much changing in that way, it’s not like we can afford enough manpower to strategically hold these points while defending/attacking objectives.. NSP happens to have several 5 man roamer groups so we are in fact enjoying the extra pvp we can find here though with them not being in towers on cannons and AC’s.
5- Explained this in #1, but it goes across all the wvw maps.
But I hate the buff.. It’s a very stupid idea and I haven’t met one person in game who likes it..
Again, love the new area and the fights it spawns.. The buff is not needed.
I know you think that would be the only incentive to have ppl fighting over them, but it’s not.. I know you and/or the player base could come up with an endless amount of ideas that would be better then giving the server already stomping us: +150 all stats..
Ya know what, kitten you CD, and kitten you Anet for making this kitten horrible matchmaking system. This is utter bullkitten. There is no fun at all in wvw now. If you’re gonna match us up this horrible, you need to give the lower servers outmanned all the time, even if we happen to have close numbers.
Awesome….another absurd matchup. Thanks Anet, you are doing a fantastic job of making players abhor wvw. New players spend 15 mins in these matches, quit, and never come back. Why don’t you just shut it down altogether, and save us the repair/upgrade bill.

This^^^^. So sick of seeing people cry about kitten they have no control over. If you are not winning any fights in this or the last matchup my advice is simple: Get better or join a real guild or both. If your objective is to win xfer to T1, if your objective is to become better and fight good fights then fight on theres plenty off bodies to drop this week.
For kittens sake, I make simple comment meant to be a sarcastic/ironic remark and everyone takes a kitten fit over it; then I have the choice of either defending myself, or trolling everyone else to the point of lunacy.

And seriously, since you are the guild leader of the largest NSP wvw guild….are you really suggesting that to win, anyone would have to transfer to a t1 server?? Because that would be just be entirely counter-intuitive to what we, as guild leaders have been trying to accomplish. Which would suggest to me (maby true, maby not) that you could give two kittens less about winning, and may be one of the reasons why are ranked where we are? Just sayin’….
What I will say, not suggest, is that if winning and PPT is the most important thing to you, then yes you should leave NSP. PPT is not what we are generally known for and I’d venture to say that to many its not the most important thing. The primary reason to me that it is not the most important thing is because often time matchups are from a population/timezone perspective imbalanced and as currently I can not personally change that I don’t put all my stock in it. Winning is nice and Os does try to contribute to PPT when we can but the most important thing to us is self improvement through good fights. Good fights to me being defined as either 1:1 against good players(GvG) or going into WvW and fighting wave after wave sometimes 3 or 5 to one odds and seeing how well you fare. That being clarified, yes I and my guild are one of the reasons we are ranked where we are. As are you and anyone else on the server.
As are you and anyone else on this server? Really, don’t lump the rest of us into your sour viewpoint. Apparently, you have not been paying attention the numerous players that bust their kittens off trying to make a difference for the whole of the server, to try to push us ahead in both rankings, and personal betterment. Yes, we all know about the numbers game in wvw, and how it effects the outcome of a matchup and consequent ranking. And make no mistake, we have all heard numerous times about how Os plans to throw a matchup, just to get a better (lower ranked) matching: the dedicated wvw players are very aware of that fact. Quite frankly, I and many others find that to be pitiful and degrading to everyone who DOES want to have a winning server, and again, it simply compounds the population issue that we have. So either contribute to the server’s success, transfer, or get the kitten out of the way of those of us who do care and contribute, and stop trying to dictate whether or not we will place good or bomb out on any given week. That’s my final opinion on the matter. Good day to you, sir.

I don’t mind fighting larger numbers. Who cares about ppt? I got a fraps tonight of os wiping 30+ cd and in the middle, dh tried to sandwich us. You can’t get those type of outnumbered fights in your bl fighting balanced servers. Thank anet for the rng!

While the coverage disparity in terms of PPT is a bit annoying for some (discourages some NSP players etc), I honestly love that this matchup provides a constant source of fights. Lots of good throng surfing to be had.
Well [Os] is bigger than any guild DH can field now, so we’re in a similar boat for once. I do enjoy the opportunity to sit spam my dearest friends over at the illustrious guild [XOXO]. I sincerely hope you have finally ridded yourselves of that unsavory character Varconi something or another, they were doing irreparable damage to your guild reputation. They were also really bad.
