Props to our great leaders in XOXO who have stepped up to preserve our guild image. Proud to be part of a guild that takes pride in its reputation unlike some of those out there cough paxa cough.

First, I have run up against this and got my butt kicked. So I know what you mean. Second, it is NOT broke. Now please follow: Max initiative for a thief is 15. Black powder takes 6, heartseeker takes 3. that’s 9. Now subtract 2 for the initiative gain from stealthing, for 7. So the thief can do this twice, let’s say three for the sake of arguing and initiative regen. For a skirmish, ya that hurts a lot, but it is not unbeatable. (and oh btw, C&D is cheaper for the same effect, and blinds with the right traits). Different classes will have different counters, or be totally weak to this.

But what I read originally for a group of 5 to go down to this? Then you really need to stop and learn the thief. Pick one of you off? Sure. Down the group? No. Shadow Refuge is very nice, and it gives regen. BUT… what do you get when you aoe the area? What do you get if you knock the thief out of the ring? Often a dead thief that’s what.

Rather than scream OP OMG OP! try thinking, what can I do to counter that and you will most often find ANet has given you the tools you need already! And as you find these tools, you will find these tools don’t work so well against other classes / builds…

As someone who plays a d/p thief you are way wrong on this. First off you don’t need the 3 extra ini at all. Secondly with Infiltrators Signet and Quick Recovery I can stealth indefinitely if I want. If I am in combat and not Heartseekering my BP field more then once, as long as I manage my ini a bit carefully I can easily stealth every single time Revealed drops off me.

Also if I want to break combat and get away using Shadow Refuge you will rarely have a chance to counter it as I will use Withdraw to gain some distance (while evading) maybe a dodge roll or two then a Shadow Step, THEN drop my Refuge.

Not only that but because using Black Powder with you targeted will blind you even if you aren’t near my field, it’s quite hard for you to counter.

It really is an easy mode, boring spec which is why I’m not going to play it anymore. Especially melee can do very little to counter it.

Not one of my favorite matchups as I don’t care much for the zergfest.. But I have been still managing to have some fun dodging zergs and kiting groups around on my Mesmer.. Some good 1vx and small group vs small group battles.. Even had a few nice duels and have met some cool ppls..

Kudos to those who managed to get me and get in some revenge /sits..

Regardless of the score , win or lose most of us go there to fight other people. I hate pve , so what else is there. If it means running solo into 3456 I do that. If it means rolling 1 uplevel alt with 5+. Well , ill do that to.

Wvw stlye PvP is the only fun for me in this game. So please fight back , I’m to slow and lazy to chase you.

Missing out because I may not have time and missing out because I literally don’t have the power to complete the achievements is different. I miss out on a lot of the events. I don’t think i’ve ever been at an event where i’ve got 16 of 16 achievements in living world content and I am fully aware I am able to do so with this event as the Gauntlet achievements are separated. I still would have liked the opportunity to be able to attempt this with a fair fighting chance. For the lulz I even took a level 4 engineer into a battle and if it would have been possible to do more damage I would have killed Halmi with her but the lack of damage in the 2 minute timeframe is impossible anyhow.

You say I could make a new character and level to 80 in this 2 week period, sure if I had the time to play the game. it is now 1am my time. I can play for like 2 hours in a night at most at the moment with the amount I have to do in the day time. When I go back to college i’ll be lucky to get that with the amount of work required to pass a year.

I chose to level in moderation but even if I didn’t I still wouldn’t be able to do so in 2 weeks lol

So the whole playerbase should have to cater to you and nobody should be allowed to have a challenge any harder then whatever YOU can handle due to your own life situation that doesn’t allow you to play as much as you want..

Sure sounds really fair.

If the game and completing everything in it is so important to you, then find a way to dedicated more time to it. If not, then accept you cant have your cake and eat it too and quit trying to get an entire game catered to your life.

We will probably be sharing this tier and matched-ups for quite a while so more fights and less chest puffing serves everyone better imo but w/e. Quite a few of our players enjoy the fight clubs so you guys can get a chance to do 1v1 fights against a lot of our players very easily.

This was already addressed though and I’m prob only seeing you at your prime running time when you are altogether, but like I said other then a couple times I saw Btsy-solo/duo I never see you guys without the full group (which is 10-15 or more / pug tagalongs). Which is fine, and I never said any harsh words against that.

You can wipe 25-30 with 8 people, anything over that number just jacks through the roof, and the number of skills used per player drastically decreases. We’re inviting guilds that want to participate in actual player vs player. You know using more than one weapon, building groups around specific players, coordinating push and pulls, nope…. Over your head.

We run anywhere between 3-15. It seems you only encounter us during our primetime?

Yeah probably, I’ve seen BTSY 1-2 man a couple times but mostly only you guys in your full group.

Gotta say that was some awesome fighting you guys showed taking back your SE tower in NSP BL last night, right up to the part where you wiped 5v15 3 times in a row and then proceeded to stand out by the sentry for so long that everyone went to sleep.

Also, please enlighten my on this 1 trick pony build I’m using on my 6 characters while currently playing a warrior who I’ve changed builds on already 3 times this week.

There was a grand total of 7 people on last night, 1 party of 4 and 1 party of 3. 2 of which logged before you and your other XOXO buddy showed up, and there was more than 3 pugs with you, considering we were constantly fighting off 2 groups of 7+. Most of my comment was aimed that the SPCA group that wiped 3 times in a row at even numbers and then left the map.

Well if you talking about SPCA then say SPCA not “XOXO and SPCA”… And you said it was 5 vs your 15, now it was 7v7? I was not there at the same time as any SPCA.. I was only there when you joined my party to talk kitten when I was standing by the keep with 3 pugs.. I made an attempt to fight you but those pugs just backpeddled so I decided it wasn’t worth it and just trolled around (like I told you when you joined party).

When Varcona got there on his guardian that just reached 80 literally less then an hour prior.. Then we did make a push and fight you by sentry with me and him + the 1 or 2 pugs that were still there.. We got a few kills , pushed into your tower and then I bailed over the side when it was 2 v 10ish or so in the tower + npc’s at the lord room.. I didn’t take an exact headcount , but you had pugs as well as OBS.

All in all, you came here to talk kitten and brag about beating an opponent you outnumbered, and then talked kitten about a guild you now claim you weren’t even talking about. Kudos to you.

Oh, btw you were still in party and said “good push”, I said “yeah all 3 of us”, you said “yeah but still good”.

I personally would like to see all of these “boss roaming groups” that DR seems to talk about. All I’ve been witness to so far is unorganized 4-12 man fights which are by all means not bad but I wanna see the big baddies more

Good job pvdooring maps with 5 defenders on them.. Oh also good job bandwagoning your big guild to the winning t8 server (who also always outnumbered NSP in the first placE).

People would avoid underwater combat a lot less if you could just use a finishing move under water. And to the guy that said ‘just do nothing’, no Rangers should not get a get out of death free card just because they happened to fight near water and jump in it right before getting downed.

Honestly, I’ve been so focused on the fighting so far this tier that I’ve been ignoring loot for the most part. It’s a lot different when you aren’t being challenged.

I’m also loving the new fights as these two servers don’t go all QQ if you zerg like NSP and HoD’s roaming groups tended to do.

Time for you to move on and focus on the servers you currently face. Not a single person has mentioned SF in the t7 thread yet, SF has brought up t7 servers in this thread at least 10 times.. It’s quite pathetic, get over it. We are having a fun matchup with zero QQ in our thread (besides a little infighting with GOM), unlike this thread – btw.
