When did you hold your own against AD?
I believe we briefly fought them if they were on DR or Kain, I don’t remember ADD much or when we fought against them. But we were against both Btsy and NoQQ and at that time LARP who ran with NoQQ for quite a long time.

Just wanted to pop in before a nap and say that NSP’s roaming groups are nothing to brag over. I’ve been doing a lot of roaming with my Ele friend, and I haven’t really been impressed. Haven’t noticed any guilds that I just jump at for the thrill yet.

That was painful to watch, especially the second fight since it was clearer.
For starters, the thief was not very good. Dagger storm in a 1v1 against a d/d ele? Seriously? Better off using basilisk venom to help burst the ele down.
Secondly, watching the ele play made me cringe as it is one of the 2 classes I WvW with. After her updraft, there was a perfect distance to fire jump then fire grab the thief. Instead she runs in to lightning auto-attack. Oh god…
The dagger storm made sense considering the lightning elemental that was out (ranged) and the fact that she wasn’t actively attacking him at the time.

The stealth nerf did nothing of any consequence, the culling fix was beside the point and in no way related to 1v1 or even small scale fights so the impact on thieves was minimal. I think the reason you see fewer thieves is because they’re either buried in the zerg or they rerolled because there is less opportunity to get the small fights/1v1s now that everyone is surfing the zergs for wxp.
People that care about 1v1 aren’t worried about wxp because it bring no benefit to it at all… Your logic is flawed…
Wow, that’s the silliest thing said on the forums today (and there’s a thread about teabagging going on right now). If you aren’t racking up the WXP levels you’re going to be behind the curve when they add new abilities. Your logic is umm…absent.
Believe it or not some of us don’t care about the WXP or having some sort of slight advantage to make up our lack of ability to actually play our class. I have 5 chars all between the ranks of 10-20, I’m not going to stop playing all 5 regularly just to get some silly abilities. I’m perfectly aware what it is. As far as I know there is no “t-bag” emote in this game only /sit. As far as I’m aware you are not actually able to strip down to where your sack is freely hanging in order to stick it in someones face. Also, I’m pretty sure this is just a game where we control cartoon characters.
In my opinion getting huffy and offended by someone doing the /sit emote or any other emote on your corpse – is petty. Well at least getting offended to the point where you want to report them and want to cause a ban or some other form of punishment. Seems like to me that he is more mad that someone killed him and gloated about it and just wants revenge but is too bad a player to get it himself.
Are we going to ban people for /sleep or /laugh spam too? What excuse can we find for this one? Of course not, so why would /sit be any different.

on the other hand, why you gotta be SO bad that nearly the entire mend guild got bored and went to bed? now i have to go find other competent people to play with … or worse, go pve. this is unforgivable!
On the other hand, we were disappointed that you guys were so bad that with at least 3x our numbers you didn’t manage to make a scratch on hills or even get to the gate. All you managed to do was hold one little tower and get farmed, having far more casualties on your side then ours every fail bomb you tried.
Btw how do you portal bomb 5 people with a group of 20+ get 0 kills and have 3 people downed in the process?
Mend was a joke all night with the most obvious portals. We were laughing so hard everytime, perhaps having the mesmer stealth instead of walking up might increase the rate of success for you.

We had more numbers coming and going but never near what you had.. Our group was just hanging out laughing farming bags.. I died twice on my Necro but filled all my bag slots so GG..

All posts previous to pictures were from round one. All posts (with) and after pictures were posted are referring to round 2. Come on guys this isn’t rocket science.
p.s. In round one Mend was doing lots of portal bombs. And we were all having fun so don’t take it as him talking trash – that’s just how he sounds. He was just pointing out the bombs would work better if your mesmer stealthed first.

ahh i think you missed the subtle inference there that the tower was held on purpose, and the keep was ignored on purpose.
every port was used to destroy your siege, not to flank you. i’m pretty sure just about every one was successful.
i was downed twice, once resulted in death. so few people died that i didn’t even get to finish my daily resurrect stuff.

Styx you talk to whoever is apart of that exp train camp capping group in ET the human Eng and human hunter, anytime one of our guardians used (3 of em on him) imoblizing from hammer or binding blade from greatsword he’d magically vanish for the imobilze and magically dodge even point blank range for the binding blade.
You know that Engineer has a trait which makes them go invisible when immobilized right…

withdraw is better than HiS…but like a 51 to 49 differential
With my healing power which is 200 from traits – HIS heals for 6060 counting the regen, while 2x withdraw heals me for 8928. I personally like the fact that it’s instant cast – I like the positioning and I love the CC breaks. As far as HIS removing DOT’s well I’m running d/p atm and stealthing to get those removed isn’t an issue.
Oh, and the fact that every thief on the planet spams either Heartseeker, DeathBlossom, or Pistolwhip (This not so much after the nerf) as though they make a thousand dollars every click of the same overused worn out button. I kind of want to see how many Thief mainers have their ‘2’ key completely disintegrated.
Shouldn’t use absolutes like “every”, it just weakens your entire argument. S/D, for instance, is a very popular setup, as is P/D; neither of which even have those abilities you claim EVERY thief spams.
In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find a single thief in high tier PvP that spams any ability as it’s purely a ticket to an kitten whooping vs opponents with IQ’s higher than that of a brick.
Hi, I play high tier PvP.
I see heartseeker. Alot.
I see Deathblossom. Alot.
I also see Thieves guild. Alot.
Does it mean that my team loses to it? Generally no, despite backstab -> heartseeker being so strong. It’s just overused, and I wouldn’t mind seeing more diversity in Thief so that I might actually pick one up again and not have to rely on 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 or some other nonsensical skill.
I’d like to mention that you see HS a lot because it’s used as a key part of two different setups (D/D and D/P)—but, to be fair, HS spam is one of my pet peeves because it makes all Thief players look like idiots.
You see Thieves’ Guild because it’s pretty much the only viable elite in small-scale PvP. Dagger Storm is far more situational, and Basi Venom is pretty much laughable now.
When I see a Thief spamming DB, I laugh at them as they blow all of their initiative on my dodges…and then I kill them.
One of the reasons you see HS so much is purely gap closing. Many classes have perm swift, which most thieves build don’t have much access to. Even with 50% faster speed during stealth it can be quite hard to keep melee pressure on a perm-swift target without using HS quite a bit – short of dodge rolling every 2 seconds.
The supposed “kings of mobility” are really anything BUT that..
Would hurt a lot of strategy if workers took supplies.. also having walls or gates not repair after cap would just make it infinitely harder for small groups and encourage zerging even more, since they could have everyone just drop supplies to repair it. Mesmers would probably be used a lot more often as well since you could basically have another team repair a keep for you then just port in and take it back.
Not sure workers taking supply would hurt strategy but it would certainly change it. Servers would have to protect yaks and run supply to maintain their foothold on a keep all the time rather than just during the keep upgrades.
Not sure I was clear, I suggest changing keep repair to be worker only. Having to defend a keep while it is being repaired would become very important. A zerg couldn’t just repair a wall full up since repairs would take time. This would also open up small teams to perform raids on keeps left undefended and not secured from zerging.
Mesmers already port, how does this system change that?
The problem is sometimes repairing is a bad idea. Like when you have 5 trebs hitting you it is bad strategy to continually repair until the trebs are first dealt with.
They can apply many stacks confusion on a very large number of opponents from long range.
I’m playing a glamour mesmer, how exactly do I do that? Tell me please, because somehow I couldn’t figure that out in the last 100 hours I played that build.

If you’ve played over 100 hrs as Mesmer, we shouldn’t need to tell you how. It’s not false, also note I said 12 avg, and yes, you can get 15 stacks as a Mesmer since I’ve done it

Single target stacking with no opposing threat and no obstruction for your clones to shatter around means next to nothing. Show me you getting 12 stacks on 25+ players. Oh right, you can’t. Because it’s impossible.

Look, you clearly have an agenda as well (look back at all your posts). I am in no way trying to hide things or misinform. Everything I’ve posted is based on my 100+ hours of gameplay. I’m here because I have played too many MMO’s that I’ve worked hard on and quite enjoyed only to watch classes that the developers have done an expert job on creating destroyed by nerf witch hunts and forum warriors.
The reality though is that we can argue until we’re blue in the face. You won’t change my mind and I won’t change yours. I think confusion is fine, you think it’s OP. There’s no point in trying to change eachother’s minds.
This discussion is ultimately pointless because it’ll have no effect on what the dev’s decide to do. Anet has proven to be very measured in their balancing patches. We can point fingers all day, but in the end they’ll do what they’re gonna do. You want a nerf, I don’t. In the end they’ll probably be some slight changes, but confusion is here to stay.
It’s not pointless at all, if confusion was “fine” it wouldn’t be nerfed in spvp. The only thing that left it in wvw was that they considered wvw as pve, which it obviously isn’t. Don’t know how people can defend it in its current state when it was already toned down in spvp. and don’t say “less #s blah” its all the same mechanics and classes/skills
Don’t know how many times people can point out that confusion was never nerfed in Spvp, but buffed in PVE – And why people keep comparing them is beyond me anyways Spvp and WvW are two totally different animals..
So, they have to figure out a way to sell cosmetic items to a group of players that largely are interested in winning in WvW (where most of their cosmetic stuff will be turned off by everyone to reduce lag).

I’ve actually had more issues with the bad models than the high res ones. I keep my stuff turned up, but I do wish they’d give me the option to see the enemy’s dye jobs
Ok my gf and I recently created an alt guild for giggles. We are in a large wvw T1 guild w/ a 100% rep requirement. Well I figured why not use that alt guild to claim supply camps all of the time for the +5 supply boost while our main guild uses its buffs for important things like towers, garrison etc.? So that’s what I have been doing. but it hasn’t been working out quite as I had intended.
So here is what typically happens. We will flip a supply camp and I will then change my rep to the alt guild and try and claim it. Unfortunately I have to wait several minutes before I can claim it on my alt guild. BUT I can immediately claim it from my main guild no matter what. So lately I have 2 choices. 1. Wait and come back to the camp to claim it. 2. Stand there and keep clicking for roughly 3 minutes before I can claim it.
Now if I hop on over to any camp etc. that has been owned for a while I can claim it asap on either guild. But if I ever try to claim asap on my alt guild; nope I have to wait a few minutes. I’ve even tried repping my alt guild while flipping it to see if I can claim it to little or no success.
Any suggestions/observations/insight as to wth is going on? How might I do it differently so I can use those buffs asap? Just started researching Art of War 3 so we can get even more buffs to place on structures if need be (albeit it costs a pretty penny to buy all of the influence required to do so). If everyone involved in flipping the camp reps the alt guild while doing it, you can claim it asap.
Someone said you claimed to own the guilds XOXO and Os guild. and was looking to me last night for confirmation this wasn’t true.
It seems like the amount of drama surrounding this issue that maybe there is some validity in the claims.
We accept any and all new players, but we as a server are not looking for trouble or drama. We have had enough of that with the whole Raygun thing.
We do not just kick people from NSC vent for no reason. You were probably kicked because tactical information floats around there and you have connections with other servers as well as have proven a bit unstable.
Please understand, that NSP doesn’t want any more unstable people in our mix.

This is why I left HoD, lol. I really don’t mean to bring drama into the servers, really. Those who know me as a commander know that I would never do those kittens. MEOW.
I still am wondering why I was kicked though. It would give me some closure. o_o
Also, I do own XOXO. Ask Obsession and Andros I think it is? They asked me to come to NSP, and when I did and loved it, they asked me to be co-owner of XOXO. Wherever your information comes from, it’s faulty.
I’ll answer any and all questions you all may have. Again, I apologize for my behavior, but TRUST ME, there’s a lot more than this game that caused it.

I’m the one who kicked you. And I did so because in one day you caused more drama to our guild then any one member has in the entire time we existed. I got at least 15 tells over the day with all sorts of absurd claims including that you were in HOD LA guesting (which I could see on guild list) claiming in map chat that you now owned XOXO and that we payed you to transfer and several other bits of BS.
Some of us do a bit of fun trolling, but what we DON’T do is drama.
For the record XOXO has 8 “leaders”, and Selene wasn’t one of them.
I’ve lost a lot of respect for [XOXO] after tonight. Not for inviting her into your guild, not for bribing her to your server, but for joining in on her theatrics.
Ok first of all, she got invited to the guild while still on HOD because Stalagta asked me and I quote “Dank is it ok if I invite Selene to guild, she has something she wants to say in guild chat”. What she had to say was simply “I <3 you guys”. We then spent awhile that night dueling each other after which I logged off.
The next night she suddenly appeared on NSP – Nobody in XOXO knew about it and I only found out when I noticed her say something in map chat. When I asked her she said it was temporary and her guild would be moving to Dragonbrand on Saturday.
Thirdly, I heard rumor that we offered her a Legendary to xfer and join us. Which if anyone knows us at all is utterly ridiculous. Nobody- in XOXO PVE’s EVER.. We have I think one person in our guild with a Legendary in the first place.
tl/sr(too long shoulda read) – XOXO had nothing to do with her xfer. We did not offer her anything to do it, nor know she was going to. We didn’t even know she had until she was spotted in /m chatting – regardless if she wants to stay , we welcome her.

My server doesn’t have queues(ever), I purposely left the one I was on that did. Maybe you would relax and just enjoy the game if you did the same, rather then kitten and moan about what others want to do.
Pft you know that I change my traits on a daily basis quit spreading lies. But about the synergy thing, I often joke that we are soloers who are just in a party.. Though I’m trying to train these noobs to call targets and focus fire.
If I want to go afk in WvW and browse forums for 30 minutes without logging out so I don’t lose my 25 stacks because I wanted a break I’m going to. If that means I have to tab in every 10 mins and take a step instead of auto-casting a heal then w/e.
I love it when ppl QQ about SF being so zergcentric, when we just got done holding off the Hills on NSP’s BL with like 15 ppl and 2 balistas against a zerg of 40+, and it took them 2 attempts to finally get it (got all the way into the lord room and we wiped them and pushed them all the way out the first time).
Not trying to talk brown, just saying… it’s not just b/c of our numbers that we’re on top, ya smell me?
It’s really cute when a server that obviously overly outnumbers the others claims the numbers isn’t the reason for a faceroll win.. I remember SF saying the same thing when they dropped down and ruined t8 for us…

Just WOW amazing fights tonight… 3 way at SM NSP in one corner HoD in another and SF holding it down… pics will explain. Some how we managed to fight em off pretty long battle but EPIC.
Yeah those NSP small roaming groups are hard to spot
sidenote: I am ready to embrace smaller groups…the NSP zerg is spottable by the skill lag I am getting half across teh map lol…thats a huge group
