I for one said SF would be at least a close matchup from the beginning, no exact prediction since I hadn’t see their numbers in over a month. We’ve been losing forum wars for months and they’re the only ones keeping us in the game now. Its been four pages since anyone else from the server has posted, those are the kinds of coverage gaps that no one can come back from.

Ahh but the more we rely on them to keep up our forum war games, the less we are forced to learn to become a better forum warring server! Sometimes it’s good to be totally outmanned in the forum wars, where points matter less than on Who’s Line is it Anyway

The only way to win a forum war is by repeating the same thing over and over with a massive forum zerg. Watch out for the small groups like PAXA though, they sneak in some nasty hits and do more damage then you would expect.

My biggest fear in this match was nightcapping…but it appears that workday hours capping is our bigger concern. :-/ Perhaps Sorrows Furnace needs to hire some employees to play for us during worktime hours?

If their strat today was anything like yesterday, it would have simply been resolved with a man on the oil, lol. Yesterday I facepalmed pretty hard when I got up to the south innergate of SM and the NSP golems are hitting the gate, oil is sitting there looking all fine and dandy, and everyone is shooting down from the top.

I don’t think the daycrew is conditioned to these new servers yet, haha. Do we know what NSP did today again? Was it more golems?

Well there was 5 of us and 1 golem.. But we aren’t stupid we’ve taken a keep or two before.. There wasn’t really any defenders, we wiped a small group or two on the way but that was it save for one poor guy trying to man a cannon..

We didn’t even set off trying to capture anything.. We started by hitting a supply camp trying to bring out some people to fight us.. Didn’t work so we moved on to a tower, still nothing so a keep and another and so on..

By midway through the second keep we ended up with 10-15 guys tho..

The funny thing about Birdsong, is that he trolls, I mean he REALLY works at it….Little posts here and there, never of substance just of “bait”….Several people have warned SF about Os and the trolling….But I have a slight history with ol Birdy here….You see once upon a time when I bought this game my first server was none other than NSP!

And my first or second toon (honestly cant remember) was invited to be an O….I even tried out WvW back then as a noob who had spent most of his time in PVE and PVP….And do you know what I remember about my time in NSP and Os? I remember this blue tag that I thought was so cool (what a nub I know) was kind of a tough guy….I mean all he did was rage in chat all day because Devona’s Rest would roll over us like an afterthought as he led us to their zerg over and over….Eventually I left NSP due to the queue situation (meaning I didn’t like queues at all….) Bounced to ET, where I would eventually meet my soulmate, the beloved SF, whom I loved so much I paid to transfer to the week that free transfers went away or shortly thereafter.

It is clearly why we are in the bottom tiers of the game.. Because we want to do stuff more challenging and engaging then stand in a 40+ zerg ball pressing 1 for hours every day. Some of us were in T1 servers throughout many months of the game and got bored of that crap ages ago.

We aren’t gloating, the point of the video posted was to show that you guys can put out the numbers as well. In Bay keep the numbers NSP put out were insane. There’s more complexity to the 1 skill than you would first think, look at your first skill on a thief’s shortbow and think long and hard and maybe when you think you found the answer and look back on this video, you will finally understand. Also, not every skill is suitable for every situation, why would I switch to dagger/dagger on a thief if everyone is at range? Why would I blink into them with my 5 skill? I’ve given enough hints.

PVP stood against a zerg much larger than ourselves and killed quite a few of them. Yet, we never came here accusing them of having no skill, just pressing 1 all the time. However, no matter how many times we say that we have some skill or tactics you look at our zerg and say no skill, just numbers. So, keep complaining about our numbers, if numbers are the only thing that’s beating you maybe it’s time to re-evaluate your tactics.

On a sidenote, I wake up to a +100 PPT what happened last night or early morning!?

Wow , how can you even call this fun? This is what I don’t get, HOW in the world is this playstyle fun and engaging.. You literally 90% of this video sat in one spot either popping Dagger Storm on CD or pressing 1 or 2 on your shortbow. 1 while randomly tabbing enemies, and #2 with just random placement anywhere. There was 5 seconds you ran around in circles pressing 1 with daggers out. I mean, you didn’t even ever bother to cast your heal spell.. You are literally mindlessly spamming 1 or 2 keys with no regard to any situational awareness or even your own well being.. I watched you go down 3 times while running around pressing 1 with your heal ready to use and not bothering to use it..

JUST WOW…… And you guys wonder why people are saying you have no skill? LOL please keep posting more vids of how bads play and think they are superior just because their numbers carry them..

You play to win the game…Otherwise there is no game, in PVE do you join dungeons to spar with the bosses? Nope, its to beat the dungeon (IE: to win)…Is it our fault that ANET decided to offer no reward for winning? No. Would you rather we not keep score? Do you want a participation trophy? Would you like people to recognize your superior build/trait lines coupled with the impressive combo field group you run with?

Seriously PAXA, why is it everytime you guys post its always anti-zerg, anti-capping, anti-WvW essentially. What you have is an OPINION of how WE should be playing which is mildly hilarious, and overtly sad on your part….

But to suggest that we should all just roam in 5 man groups, ignore capping, ignore the scoring system, essentially ignore the mechanics of WvW, all becuase what? ANET set the grouping system up to accomodate 5-man teams? You really think that was their intent? Just make this massive WvW scenario and then have 10-five man teams running around PVPing each other? That just sounds silly…Essentially, what I truly believe, is that people like you that come in here saying things like this, really just want people to play YOUR style since you think that what you are doing is superior. When in fact what your doing might have some merit to the overall aspect of the game (IE: helping your server somewhat), the reality is that sitting on your BL camping a spawn “looking for a good fight to better yourself” is slightly more of a waste of time than actually capping camps and towers etc…

The type who “play to win” a WvW match, will never understand the type that play to just have fun and test/improve their play on a personal level(and visa versa). The duelers the 5 mans, generally care much less about the scoreboard then just challenging themselves on a personal level. People on this side of the spectrum for the most part despise PVE and rarely if ever do it, so that analogy won’t work either.

Some of us enjoy both, playing for points and playing small group challenge mode. Some people don’t care if all they do is run around with 50 ppl pressing tab-1-1-1-1 and F to build rams, as long as they are on the winning team.

I say to each their own, as much as it frustrates me when all I can find is 50 ppl at once when I’m roaming, I’m not going to convince anyone to play different.

I have today had a lot more small group fights, mixed in with some zerg battles and keep takes.. This variety for me is fun.

Also, you are missing the point PAXA makes. They don’t say everyone should run 5 mans, they don’t say nobody should zerg(they specifically pointed this out numerous times BTW). They are simply frustrated they couldn’t find ANY small group action coming from SF.

Honestly, HoD wouldn’t have any issue with staying tier 7, if not for the fact that SF seems to focus almost (ALMOST) entirely on us. For example, the majority of the past two days, they’ve had a solid presence in HoD BL and none (aside from the occasional, single camp) in NSP.

Nope – the entire time, including now, HoD has kept a moderate presence in NSP. We -are- currently down to two camps in NSP’s BL, but I imagine that it’s because our forces (the ones that haven’t been demoralized away) are attempting to push back the constant zergs in our own BL – despite us being down almost 50k points.

Even in the three days prior to the free transfers, we had the lead against NSP and GoM. The week of transfers and the week following, we maintained a solid lead. Until we were singled out by SF, we were fine.

Now, again, there are no insults. Just stating exactly what’s been going on – SF is playing the game by the rules. I’m not hating on them; in fact, I feel as if they’ll be a good contender against one of the top four tiers and may even climb to the top (good luck – serious!)… but if we fall to tier 8, it’s because our playerbase dropped from seemingly being singled out by a server with a MUCH higher population.

Nope it only seems like it man. We have been dealing with large numbers of SF in our BL all day too.. The difference? Well NSP had no presence on any other map, everything devoted to defending our BL. HOD? Yep, big zerg on NSP map while their entire BL is red.

Yes, NSP has two Anet “tagged” people who run around from time to time. I’ve talked to one of them before. It’s only an artist and his girlfriend. They aren’t giving us anything special, they are just playing on their own time. If you ask them, they’ll tell you.

If one of them is a mesmer we saw him yesterday outside of SM in EB….Trust me he wasn’t invulnerable, lol we tested it over and over and over and….

As far as the invulnerable golem thing? Who knows, I wasn’t in that BL when that went down, so I can’t say…But it would be pretty dumb on ANETs part to do that, so I doubt he was truly invulnerable.

To be clear, i am not implying that golem was invulnerable. I didnt see that myself, and i am pretty sure that it went down.

My point was just that it is funny to see people say that the developers helped out SF too much by moving us up in rank after we dominated Tier 8 for MONTHS, and implying we dont deserve it, but are OK with developers getting a golem army going for their server and taking over an entire enemy borderland.
Hypocritical stuff like that tickles my funny bone line nothin else.

Invulnerable or not, advantage or not, if a Pug sees a developer tag you can bet your kitten he will follow em to victory.

lol it was 5 or so NSP sitting around dueling with about the same amount of HOD… Just chillin havin some fun. 10+ SF showed up and we had a nice little 3 way… A couple more NSP showed up but nothing to consider a zerg. Hardly “zerg riding”.

Calm down I was just joking around on ya.. If you get to know me you will know I am rarely serious and always talking crap.

Yes I’m frustrated (not because of losing) but because the way I find fun playing in WvW is unavailable in this match. That is 1v1, 1v2, 1v3, 1v4 etc w/e I can handle vs whoever I’m fighting.. Also our 5 man vs 5-10, maybe more but that usually only happens against pugs..

What I don’t find fun is getting ran over by 50 ppl and having them claim it’s skill and jumping up and down / emoting on my corpse. (Not saying the PvP guild has done this). Nothing against you guys, but you really just don’t belong here, you belong on t5 or maybe higher. NSP/HOD just don’t have anything to counter a guild running 40 ppl on voice in a tight pack portal bombing non stop. Not that I’m blaming you for anything, or having anything against it – it’s just not fun for us.

Add to that, guilds like COSA who every player I’ve fought from them is full on trash, riding the coat tails and talking all kinds of crap like they are the ones leading the show.

What really frustrates me is whenever I do finally find a solo person (SF) – they just run away without trying to fight me. Then I find a 1v3 and am having a good time and either they all run to a nearby zerg – or one shows up and runs me over(or I have to run flee if I can).

By the way, I would really love to be able to do a 20v20 with you, but you see our guild has exactly 20 members actually and rarely 10 or more online at once. If you wanted to do some 5v5’s now that’s something I’m sure XOXO (and other guilds on hod/nsp) would love to set up. You see, there are very few guilds on NSP or HOD that even have the members online at once to do a 20v20 with you.

So if you see that fat Norn XOXO Mesmer out there and he tries to 1v3 you , please don’t kitten out to the nearest zerg, and if you happen to zerg me down, have some respect and lay off the emoting and kitten.

You make a video of a guild zerg going against the entire NSP wvw pop and claim servers have even numbers? Honestly? You are delusional. The vast majority of the time SF has zergs that equal the entire wvw population of all of NSP on each map sometimes multiple zergs that large on 1 map.

Losing to a zerg is cool but the spam jumping on corpses and emoting after running from 2v1 and 3v1 fights to a zerg which is happening nonstop is a joke. I am done with WvW for now let SF pvdoor even more if that makes them feel superior.

Of course, the zerg has the higher skilled players, just because they have more, so the likelihood of a having a gem is higher, though among all the other players, it’ll go unnoticed.

This is so blatantly wrong as to be comical. Ask anyone on any server who the best players are you will find that those people are almost exclusively in small groups. Zergs require the least amount of skill and skilled players who enjoy getting better and testing their skill avoid them the majority of the time.

If you do in fact believe this I can assume you lack any real pvp skill and are still living in a WvW zerg bubble.

SF has been really annoying by the size of their zergs but at least my loot bags this week have at least quadrupled with outmanned and players who can’t handle themself outside 3:1 odds.

I can name a group on SF who I know well as an example of this. The KING guild.

I find it hard to believe that current SF numbers are anything like what Kaineng had after the migration. TBH, I don’t think all 6 of the bottom servers added up together have those kind of numbers/coverage.

Kain was triple what SF is. And Kain continued getting more and more transfers every week.

I have been on FC from the start and I can tell you that SF right now numbers easily what Kain and DR did before there push up. The reason Kain and DR were able to get out was that at the time FC had a much larger WvW base that left during that same time frame which when you go from fighting close matches to blowouts your scores will jump very high 100 points 70 points. I don’t know the numbers of the higher tiers but from what Kain and DR did I would say that SF will at least move up to tier 5 or 4 without much trouble. The only difference is that they won’t have more people jumping onto SF as free transfers are over so I don’t think they will move as high but at the very least 5 or 4.

Guess where that WvW base went? NSP… I for one look forward to fighting SF as I don’t care much for GOM personally.. I don’t think it’s going to be a stomp from any side like everyone else seems to believe. SF will be surprised at what they are actually facing, as will NSP/HOD.

Speaking as someone who used to be on Ferg and played against SF. I would say nobody is going to be roflstomping anyone. SF/HOD/NSP will be a very good match. SF has similar numbers, and plenty of skilled guilds. Will be fun to be in a match with our KING friends again .

You do realize SPCA/XOXO/SPLT etc have a lot of friends on GOM/HOD and there exists quite a bit of respect between us and many guilds on those server. His comment was obviously a harmless jest about a situation that everyone involved was just messing around having fun.

Yes most of the Paxa went down and the last 2 took off. To be fair we had a few extra numbers due to the OS adds. Paxa came for round 2 but it got abruptly ended when a NSP mini zerg ran through.

Was great fights, had a lot of fun yesterday (and in this match in general).

Have you ever heard of hiding? Last night we took our Garrison back from GoM I think it was because one sneaky mesmer commander hid inside the walls until about a dozen of us came up outside and he jumped out and used a portal to sneak us in.
No hacks, no cheats, just heads up play when the garrison was being taken.

First of all it was a t3 tower, there is no way he was hiding in it that long. Secondly I had just attacked the same thief down on the ground outside the tower not 1 minute before that.

What it a mesmer or a thief? I personally have seen mesmer clones appear right in front of me on tower walls and the first time it happened I thought the real player had somehow jumped up, but when I killed it I realized it was a clone.

Don’t thieves also get a form of clone? I think they do and if so, I find it easy to imagine that they are bugged in the same way and can hop up on the tower. Did you kill him? Was there a corpse on the wall? If so, THEN you have evidence, otherwise it’s just an NPC glitch we are talking about.

You should be less of a jerk. I was trying to offer reasonable explanations of what was NOT a hack but a glitch. Turns out he was glitched through the gate. I am NOT new to the game, been playing since beta. I have four fully developed characters, but no thief or mesmer. Only recently have I started getting into WvW. I stayed away because I don’t like having to deal with jerks like you who think they are so leet they need to bash others to prove it.
