strifey is right, specially about Axe/Mace warriors. EVERY time i PUG, at least two people say “wow, this is the fastest i have ever done this” or some variant of that. factor in my CC with my hammer swap….things like scavengers in AC are nothing.
Groups of 4 heavy classes go through anything quickly and painlessly. mesmer is the ideal class to round it out. they bring even more group buffs, huge spike in support DPS with time warp, group mobility, condition removal, projectile reflection as well.
Thick Skin: gain 2 toughness per level, period. swap it in the line with adrenal health.
Well, the problem isn’t really the toughness either, its the (If over 90% Health.).
The problem with Thick Skin is twofold:
1) The <90% Health is stupid.
2) It doesn’t increase Armour, it gives a 100 Toughness increase.My suggestion:
Thick Skin: Grants a flat 5% bonus to Armour.
Nice and simple. Or if you wanna jazz it up a little
Thick Skin: Grants 0-100% bonus Armour depending on Health.
At full Health you get 0% and at 1% Health you gain 99% bonus Armour, i.e double your Armour. At half Health you’d get 50% bonus Armour.
Just might be overpowered for a 5 points Trait. It might be
great suggestion, but in that case just move it to 15 or 25.

My life for a boss that had more than 7 attacks as well as 1-3 mechanics that would force a fail state if you didn’t attention.
this so much. especially the ones with a million HP. they should have a FULL 10 skills like the player does.

hello new players to guild wars 2. bags use to drop 100%, people farmed the first mini boss/boss for em and like the next day it was changed. the end.
the big offender in Anet’s mind was the good old Arah token run(use to kill crusher/hunter and reset. first for tokens in the beginning, then for bags later).
party wide 100% magic find boost in story mode…there.
shouldn’t have kittened with it just because lvl 80’s were getting some silver from it. at the same time it was helping lowbies and new players get a kittening group.
they should have public dungeons. don’t know why there’s only one, and it’s tiny. i ain’t talkin jumping puzzle neither. an actual dungeon area that’s public.
also font of rhand sort of counts, but i would rather they not be hidden by events, just there.
Ranger and Mesmser, too bad most are kittening terrible.
IMO ban kicking unless somebody has been disconnected or AFK for more than 5min (or maybe shorter) . Kicking can be abused too easily if you just let players freely do it. If you have a bad player in your group you should rather communicate and try to fix problems that you have.
If you can’t kick in dungeons, you’ll have trolls thatll harass your party and wipe you repeatedly and you cant do anything about it.
yep, just like in WoW. don’t get too upset at the mention, but it’s a kitten good example of how the change from a free kicking system like this was mass exploited. you should be able to kick unlimited with minimal voting and even during combat. no exception or trolling will ensue.
ever since they made that change it has literally been a career for many players to grief their dungeon groups.
leave it alone. can’t design based on tears and hurt feelings. it’s been needed so much to boot racists, kittenholes and leeches.
Stop forcing people to play how you want. Let them play how they like. Its one thing to mention it, suggest and if they want to, they can. But insisting as you did and trying to “convince” the thief to use smokescreen is not right
lowest common denominator.
if anything it should limit the entry to characters of the dungeon’s recommended level…but even then i often take people lvl 30-34 into AC exp. no issue. lvl 76 in arah, 41 in cm exp, etc.

rewards. that’s how you do it. fix as many exploits as possible, and reward a harder dungeon more. also a supplementary(but not too robust) reward for clearing a dungeon entirely.

^ yea, which is why it’s better to push for a useful change in one skill rather than hope they actually give enough kittens to redo all the burst skills and class mechanic.

your posts are the weakest form of debate on display today. reminds me of a proposed change i made for tthe damage on certain spear and harpoon skills in the first few weeks. the “it’s fine” trolls rushed in. not much later they buffed those same skills. ditto for signet of the hunt on rangers
keep it up. the current form of berserker’s stance is a holdover(like many skills and traits) from alpha when adrenaline actually DID something for the class(increased damage output the more you gained). it needs to change.

pretty much the worst argument i’ve ever seen right there. 30 crit dmg for 10 seconds is overpowered. really. fury and retaliation are already up all the time in group content.
and by adrenaline heavy you mean you have no point and don’t know how to argue one. you can fill your adrenaline bar fast enough to use two burst skills back to back without berserker’s stance. plus any “adrenaline heavy” build is basically a DPS burst build. no room for that garbage on your hotbars over taking FGJ, frenzy, EP, BC, SiO, OMM, BoD, etc…
but hey, keep on “it’s fine” trolling. you’ll be dancing to a new tune once they wise the kitten up and change it.

Honestly if they just decreased its Cd to 15 seconds base it’d be completely useable for addren. heavy builds. Especially since it would give us a reliable way to maintain vigor with the Vigorous Focus trait.
you’re joking right? “adrenaline heavy builds” no such thing that doesn’t already fill the bar without this skill.
Kill shot build = take Furious trait and/or healing surge.
hammer build = take Embrace The Pain
axe build = Sharpened Axes
any build where you go into Discipline = inspiring shouts
any build where you have 30 in Arms = Furious.
you fill the bar up by the time any burst skill is off cooldown without these traits anyway.

have you thought about what you said before saying it(nope)? banner of discipline is far more powerful than this. this stance affects one person(you) for 10 seconds. the banner affects 5 for a minute.
the bad utility skills i this game are so kitten that when a good one is proposed it looks “overpowered”. they gotta fix this kitten up fast.

Anecdotes are worse than useless for trying to track alleged changes in RNG as people will only ever comment when things are going poorly. Of course all your anecdotal evidence is from people having poor luck, they wouldn’t ever bother to comment otherwise. It’s like interviewing people leaving a bar and freaking out that almost everyone you talked to had been drinking.
This pretty much sums things up. People rarely comment when something is working properly, and usually only bring things up in a positive light if there is a discussion about it and they feel provoked to do as such.
For instance, we recently made it possible to join and reconnect in fractals. Prior to that patch there would be a new thread nearly every other day about how bad fractals were because of disconnects, and those threads would be the most popular. But since fixing it there hasn’t been a single thread about it, or any comments. It’s just the general nature of people to happily enjoy things instead of taking the time out of enjoying something to exclaim that you are enjoying something.Thats true, but why now? why only after patch ppl start to complain about the loot!?

OMG patch nerfed loot! is a hallmark of MMO’s since 1998. every single game wihtout exception, even mere maintenance patches.
there are a few bugs and omissions that will be worked out soon. i brought this up with the creator on reddit.
someone finally made one
the current system is the best option. minimal input from the group is required. sometimes you need to be rid of someone toxic, and you need to be able to do that.
keep the current system as is. you don’t want some kitten ruining the group and not be able to be booted easily. those getting trolled(the ones who are telling the WHOLE story in the first place and are innocent) suck it up and move on. be glad that you can also kick the raging dickheads and other unsavory characters.

hammer shock and earth shaker are more reliable than other weapon skills(and far quicker than longbow).

my personal feedback: big improvement overall. i can actually see the enemy and my allies in a huge battle. however i would also like to present some feedback to the contrary:
there are some people who do not see the change as an improvement at all, some think it is worse. i can’t really agree from my own experience, but there was a video posted about it and i thought i’d share.
the only change needed in CM is to make every non-boss mob a regular veteran because there’s too many in most pulls.
also without a necro or mesmser it’s guaranteed to cause new players to give up fast.
let’s all go kitten on reddit! let’s also forget we were kittening the other way around on reddit before the nerf!
I hope you’re not still thinking the Spurs have a chance against OKC.

i mostly agree. is till think they should hold off this “phase” bullkitten though and do the whole change at once when it’s ready.

could have avoided all this kitten if they simply reward full clearing a dungeon path with extra kitten. oh well.plans and blah blah. kittening great after playing WoW from launch i try out new games and have to wait THE SAME amount of time for the devs to get their kitten together and/or do the sensible thing.
people speed clearing CM story in ten minutes? kitten up story reward for everyone who will ever touch GW2..and overtune the dungeon to the point where something like 7% of dungeon groups run it and it’s not possible to complete at level.
itemization is kittened up and certain stat sets aren’t even available from fractals, vendors and crafting? oh well!

ya, systems that depend on other should not be put in until it’s all in place. fractals were nice but that way they handle death works because fractals are not wall to wall silver kittening mobs.
fractals itself should be capped at 30 because the items required to run it as intended past that point don’t exist. clearly you need ALL ascended gear infused if you’re meant to run the higher levels. that gear does not exist and those tiers should not exist until it does.
i have no real sympathy to pugs and skippers and all that, but we can all agree that they should have overhauled many things like the average mob and waited till the full dungeon revamp was done to change it. now we’ll get incremental yet annoying changes.
