Yesterday i completed all 3 paths of CM and didn’t find a new bug.
And yes the part that mobs will attack you because you have high toughness value is nice. (playing a guardian)
Just jump in the middle of mobs with a ranger and necro pets beside me and a warrior i can out heal 25 stacks of bleed and poison.
don’t think you’re reading right, they won’t attack me. happened over and over with various groups.
^ what you’re saying is well known. alot of mobs will target people with high toughness and i have no problem with that. what i did not care for was that these mobs 100% behaved as if i was not even there. this has not happened before. the rifleman generally do not target me unless they have killed off their target or downed them and i go to revive, but now they simply do not attack me or anyone with decent health/armor.
just did AC 1, 2 and 3. do not agree with this post at all. actually i’m wondering wtf is going on in this topic.
btw, did you ever get through SE story?
might have already done this, but with hodgins…run to the wall. he will absolutely not start the event unless one player runs to that wall. in the pugs i do it’s usually me because everyone just stops at the stairs and waits for it to start.
i’ve literally had no problems joining any exp mode run so far on my alt. the only explorables i have yet to run(because i am too low) are lvl 70+.
stack to 1000, problem solved.
next patch kittens up AC and TA.
- story is bugged right after the basement. can’t get outside after killing the separatists because it reports you killed less than you did(boss doesn’t count).
-exp butler path, trap hallway bugged, traps do not despawn for a loong time, if at all. random frequency, but it has not worked normally since the patch.
- also in butler all ranged attacking mobs indefinitely ignore players with high toughness and vitality…causing a complete unstoppable gang bang on your squishiest party member. this is every single pull after the grenade spamming boss. i was completely helpless to stop them from killing two other party members since they focus fired them to death in a few seconds.
they could not even be revived with three people trying. i used a hammer and mace/shield. the time the mobs were not stunned or KD they were focusing the squishies like they were the only players there. when everyone was DEAD besides me they were right next to me and would not kittening attack.
- not going to even bother doing the other paths to confirm what i’m hearing myself it’s probably true.
so there you go guys. don’t run CM story at all, don’t run EXP path1 and 2 at all, bring nothing besides warriors, guardians or high toughness engineers/rangers for path 3 so you can waltz past a kittenload of mobs near the end.
CM is kittened with this patch.
EP has been bugged forever. no condition protection and only lasts 3 seconds.
sword needs help. it’s funny that the designated tank weapon(mace) hits like a truck without a dps focused build.
Forceful Shot: This skill’s damage has been increased by about 70%, and its activation time has been increased.
What the hell is forceful shot?
Forceful Shot is the spear gun burst skill.
I don’t understand, didn’t they say they were changing dungeon loot after the halloween patch since it was buggy needs testing etc and too close to halloween release?
that’s what i thought too. i’ve definitely had a night and day difference in loot from earlier to now though.
usually i’d get one rare(or none) and blues. after the update i got three rares, the exotic and of course more blues.
add me, i’m down for either one.
good job Anet. Karma is nice, and i had previously whined alot about not getting enough rares. Well i looted an exotic warhorn from AC tonight after the patch, along with a few rares and still many blues.
My gripes with several mechanics still stand, but at least i am coming out with something for helping friends out even after i no longer need tokens.
saw it on their live stream.
here’s the link but it’s no longer live
meh…not only this, but flat out the HP AND armor of many pets need to be “looked at” and by that i mostly mean in-kittening-creased.
pig pets are complete dogkitten from top to bottom. to the Anet dev who made these, you literally wasted that stretch of your life working on them.
bears are among the only decent pets, by this i mean will come out of fights alive. that’s because they have a disproportionate amount of vitality. what needs to be done is increase the base toughness of bears, jellyfish, drakes and pigs to be at least on par with the devourers(this is the most useless pet, but has the most armor…why? not to mention it does not fight in melee).
pets with screech/roar/howl abilities should have these skills treated as shouts for cast time and animation…as in you can use it while running, NO animation at all and instant cast.
feline pets need to apply weakness on critical.
Some warriors are just that bad, yet at low lvls warriors in melee dungeons get pwned hard, as levels go up you can go melee happy all the time.
Did I mention the guy was 80 and in COF gear?
doesn’t surprise me in the least.
hilarious responses(besides george).
more interesting is the fact that the guy who made the video is using it to whine about how warriors are so underpowered. it really just shows how he’s bad at the class.
What is the percent chance to add weakness debuff when using a mace?
in Warrior
Posted by: fony.5102
sundering mace was a crap trait, use to added weakness for one second on mace crit(despite most defensiv builds having no crit chance whatsoever). too bad the mace chain attack keeps up weakness permanently already.
they changed it to lower the cooldown of mace skills by 20% and do more damage to weakened foes.
as for the condition, there’s no proc involved. the third mace chain attack applies weakness.

what are you on about?
in Guild Wars final thrust did more damage to a low health target. i think that the first two attacks in the sword chain should each apply two bleeds instead of the one also.
does anyone else feel link the third sword chain skill Final Thrust should deal more damage based on your target’s health?
for example:
Final Thrust
Strike your foe with a powerful, final thrust. The less health your target has, the more damage you cause.
Above 65%: 317
Below 65%: 421
Below 30%: 537
agree? disagree?
Wild Blow
Strike with a wild blow, removing boons and crippling foes.
Damage: 434
Level 1 Adrenaline: 1 boon removed, cripple(2 sec.)
Level 2 Adrenaline: 2 boons removed, cripple(3 sec.)
Level 3 Adrenaline: 3 boons removed, cripple(4 sec.)
150 range
Decent damage skill for PvE, right between stage 2 Kill Shot and stage 2 Eviscerate. Good PvP utility as well. Great set up skill for HB too.
path 2 should have about six waypoints honestly.
Exp path 2 is very long. hard however, not a good description. once you’ve done it once it’s nothing.
what has been your overall experience with PUGs in this game? for me besides a few, it’s been just as bad as many others. what do you think can be done to improve the average pick up group dungeon run? there’s communication of course which is dependent upon the rest of the group, and for your part you should be helpful and nice. sadly this doesn’t always work.
so how about you guys?
haha, this is pretty sad.
no, because you’re throwing a tantrum and exaggerating. i didn’t rage at them, they were actually pretty nice people…just very bad players.
i felt it was better to leave them, give them some parting advice and do the dungeon later when my guild gets online. no rage was felt, no “raging” was done, so what are you talking about?
it was wrong to leave and do it later without paying the dungeon money for hours to end up not completing it? that’s your biased, twisted opinion i guess.
Welcome to life, where there are people with different opinions than you.
Look over this image, and try to climb past stage 3.
(edited by fony.5102)
hmm, you might be one of the guys that was in that group.
the problem with PUGs is unreliable coordination. people may not be willing to follow the group leader’s orders, and this can cost the entire run sometimes.
i’ve both led groups and been led by other players (more the former than the latter, being the leader of my guild), and when a group is well coordinated, even first time runs feel easy. when someone isn’t paying attention, or is just too inexperienced, it can even lead to people ragequitting the party.
this doesn’t mean you should give up on newbie, inexperienced players. everyone’s been in their position before, and if they’re willing to learn, you should teach, so they can be better players, and the community grows.
i’ve had a few amazing pugs, but this is like the most common type of player i run into. i’m just glad that usually when i pug it’s only at most two of them players and me and friends. if i were the lone player trying to do anything besides bash my head on the wall in groups i would have never finished a dungeon up to now.
and you have to wonder how many of the people here raising hell are these guys after they finally realize they’re not getting anywhere.
this actually took about an hour(for half the dungeon), and they’re not “less experienced”. i was “less experienced” when i started out, and when things were explained or kitten went bad i tried to change and tried to coordinate.
there’s a difference between inexperienced and horrible. it was as if they all had learning disabilities. hell, two of them were level 80.
i’ve noticed this in many moo’s over the years, but why is it like this? i can of course(and do) run with my friends and guild but i like to meet people in mmo’s(foreign concept these days i know) and possibly grow that friend list.
want to do AC on my alt, figure i’d pug it. immediately i explain that only one person should open tombs in the first room. immediately they open 4 at once. we pull through that with no deaths, lots of downed state action though. of course after reminding them, they still open multiple at a time, because no one is actually paying attention to each other.
gate guard spawns, i explain his simple mechanics(aoe stomp, huge hammer smash both highly telegraphed) people still get hit by both repeatedly. a mesmer pops up, i mark it and no one kills it….having an add up dazing, crippling and bleeding us while the boss is attacking us.
so after what seemed like ten minutes on the one guy and his add, we get the door open. immediately i explain to blow the elementalist away, interrupt when possible. i pull the chain to stop traps, i tell them not to come in and bunch up. they come in and bunch up. the ele kills everyone but me, they waypoint back and repeat. the monk KD them into the ele AOE…rinse and repeat. we kill the two mobs here after about 5 minutes, which should have taken 2.
hallway time, mark ele, pull mobs…they fight in the hallway and get nuked. waypoint zerging commences, i stayed alive by running in circles while shooting. warrior and 2x ranger pull on steps, they actually do this well, quickly and in a way that made sense. i inform them i will grab the boulder and to wait a sec…to hell with that! they run up and all die in the traps. next up, fun times in the trap/gargoyle hellhole. i deactivate traps so they can run through, they don’t run through. they get killed alot by gargoyles, oh and pull the rangers that we didn’t need to pull(guess what happens next?).
graveling burrow went well(though in story mode you can’t mess this up). hallway pull not so well. troll spawned, i inform them prior to this that if it spawns whoever it has aggro on should run it to the ghosts and when they or it attack dodge out the way and run back to us…they will be at each other at this point. nope. 3 die in ele aoe(but manage to kill it), i run the warrior to the troll…after that another group member has finished killing the mesmer he was tunnel visioned on and died by troll punch.
they come back, i am kiting the troll, but he downs me. i get revived, we kill the troll. Eir fighting the captain…they pull him in the hallway and get killed by him(no one dodges anything). at this point i got fed up, just told them that they really should pay more attention to their surroundings, to each other and they should have learned to dodge by now.
also they played like bots, basically just running forward as if scripted, never waiting, never evading or changing what they did. i told them that they would need to replace me and advised them that if they were going to play like that and ignore advice then in two hours when they finally give up they should have the decency not to come here or go on reddit and blame Anet for what happened in there.

SOMETHING LIKE SE… as in higher level, more difficult.
SE is easier than AC though, as a re several higher level ones(HotW, TA about the same). your post was a knee jerk post, don’t really know the reason though. CoE, CM and Arah would qualify…but all 3 have at least one solo/duo video already.
Parisalchuk.9230, re-read this forum. AC is among the most complained about. sadly it literally is among the easiest so this just shows you how sad alot of players are. i’m not sure the point of your knee jerk post, there’s often multple QQ posts about AC on the front page of this forum.
and your SE comment is pretty foolish. that can be solo’d by some classes and it is an easy duo.

i’d be fine with them giving Karma as a first run bonus for SM and all EM paths.
no, not at all.
exactly, and i hope they are getting this right when they add content to the game. it was unanimous since beta that this game while great in many ways, was one of the most unrewarding experiences as far as loot goes. don’t even know why it launched like this. the whole economy excuse is just insulting too. they take no actions against players who amass a few thousand(yes) gold by turning beaded items into precursors. they go fix that bug, naturally expected but do not try to fix the damage done(these were ill gotten gains via exploiting, and FAR more harmful tot he game than the karma vendor fiasco so ban these guys too or ask them to sac their thousand gold on crap and proceed to destroy said crap). those rich players buy up all precursors and now sell them for ten times what they were two weeks ago…but OH THE ECONOMY WILL BE RUINED IF YOU GOT SOME DECENT kitten OUT OF A DUNGEON RUN!
right now, dungeons ARE NOT that hard at all and actually many need to be harder. while i actually do enjoy most of them, the fact is that they simply are not rewarding for the time spent. and hey, kitten just dungeons…champion mobs throughout the entire game are not rewarding for the times spent killing them. actually the harder the mob(literally) the worse the loot, as if some employee they notified of firing decided to just ace us all and create a kittentorm deliberately.
seriously, compare what you get off the boar in queensdale(i have gotten so many lvl 70+ masterwork or rares and got my kitten exotic rifle off it) to any champion giant. drops lvl 14 or lvl 34 loot for a lvl 80, usually white. sometimes blue. champion war beasts drop kitten, risen megalodon drops kitten(haha, untelegraphed one shot kill so much fun and you’re literally paying the kitten mob since you’ll get 1 copper and a white item off it).
we rock in all parts of this game and yea we’re better from range than rangers.
they kinda nerfed the way sigils work long ago instead of adding two slots to 2h.

WA is horribly weak against players, even bad ones. at least in a crowd or with snares HB will do the job.
you are not punished for using a 2 hander in GW2.
the mace hits harder than everything on its 3rd attack only. also the mace hits slower than everything and has one single damage ability, the rest are defensive and actually(not virtually, but literally) useless for dealing damage. you sit back and react to the enemy for 2 and 3 so having the chain hit hard makes sense.
the axe attacks fast and the main chain does alot of damage(due purely to triple chop), but everything else is unimpressive. not very high damage on the other skills besides whirling axe and the burst skill. this weapon exists to build adrenaline for eviscerate and not much else. has virtually NO utility at all nor good mobility.
the sword is versatile. you get CC on two skills, a defensive skill, condition stacking, decent attack speed and mobility.
the hammer actually has some of the hardest hitting skills and utterly unmatched cc.
the greatsword has a modest chain damage but stacks vulnerability, has extreme burst damage and great mobility.
it’d be a bit crazy to go on and on for all the weapons, but at this point you get it(hopefully). just realize that in those other games you are stuck with your shield slam/revenge/sunder/bladestorm/mortal strike/execute skills no matter what weapon you equip and the only thing that will set a greatsword apart form a normal sword is the damage it does.
that’s true, since dungeons are basically event chains strung together with cutscenes.
blah blah blah champion mobs drop either nothing or the worst kitten possible. that needs fixing, trash mobs hp is too high as well. dungeons return less decent loot than an equal time spent doing events.
very nice guides.
this is an amazing idea.
