Commander Tag Changes Feedback [merged]

Are we seriously getting charged for a functionality improvement?

Different colors weren’t requested for cosmetic reasons, these aren’t like quaggan backpacks.

Yep. Hey, it’s “Aren’t-charging-enough-Yet” we’re talking about here.

Can we really assume that the new colored tags are specifically designed for WvW, instead of being added for PvE? I mean, it’s important to keep the PuGs for The Wurm following the correct tag, never mind ensuring no one other than select players can see their leader for Guild Missions.

Specifically designed for WvW or not, ArenaNet can create an opportunity out of it if they’re willing. It’s about thinking outside the box and saying,

Hey, things have gotten pretty bad with the WvW community. How about we scrap the idea of increasing the commander tag cost to 300g as well as having to purchase a separate compendium for each color. Instead, let’s just allow players to change the color at will with a single purchase. Then we add gem store items that allow you to change the icon’s appearance and profit from it that way.

Tags were originally conceived as an aid to WvW. It’s great that players were creative enough to leverage their use in PvE, too. But having been initially tied to WvW and the WvW community requesting this addition since beta, it’s now something of a slap in the face to both increase the cost 300% and require a new purchase for each additional color.

Leave it to ArenaNet to take a good idea and then mess it up. Word comes out that colored tags are finally going to be added to the game and it looks like they’re taking 2 steps forward. Then they go and milk it for more gold and they take 2 steps back again. Of course, they’ll take the tact of, “Hey, we gave you what you asked for: colored commander tags. What more do you want, you ingrates?!?” Clueless.

/shakes head

I agree with your concerns, however, I still want to point out that I don’t think this was designed with WvW players in mind: (which btw, I’m not saying is ok). There’s a pattern of concept implementation without totally understanding the player experience or understanding consequences.

Agree with the /shakes head (been doing that since Nov 2012).

@Nutz and Kraag Deadsoul: was just trying to point out that even though WvW players believe tags are for WvW, we cannot assume that the changes are related to WvW, since PvE also benefits. Given the cost structure of the changes, do you really think these were aimed specifically at WvW? I’m not putting this one in the WvW bucket just yet (given currently stated implementation.)

Solomon, I would agree on principle, that some of those transfers are probably being funded via outside sources. However, there’s enough cash there coming in that it’s still reasonable to assume ANet is getting “their cut”.

My comment about transfers above is until someone has proven numbers that indicate it’s going to gold-sellers, I am assuming the money is going into ANet’s coffers.

(edit: Solomon, see second post below)

Given that ANet allows transfers, of course this is a player-determined set of behaviors that ANet has no control over. No where, anywhere did I imply it wasn’t.
However, ANet has set up the circumstances that allows/fosters the behavior.

The fact that they can make money from it means they are not going to turn off transfers.

As I’ve said before, as much as I believe that transfers and WvW should be restricted to characters that have not stepped foot into WvW (e.g. if you want to head to another server, reroll from scratch), transfers themselves have been a standard MMO feature for almost a decade now.

The WvW concept and server transfers combined has been a flawed design since day 1.

Transfers are WvW’s largest contribution to the game in terms of money (both in game economy and ANet’s.)

ANet devs have said WvW is not designed to be fair.

Precedent has been set for win trading during Tournament.

Coverage impacts winning.

The current state of the game, and player response (including “buying” guilds to win) is a result of (a) some of the above (b) none of the above © all of the above

Feature Pack September 2014

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

“Feature Pack” always reminds me of those pre-bundled units of those tiny one-serving cereals boxes all wrapped together in plastic. There’s the tasty ones you buy the pack for, and the other ones sandwiched in the middle that taste like sawdust which will sit there unopened forever.

The information posted looks like it could be enticing, but the real stuff in the middle may not deliver flavor.

Honestly, I think this is so ambiguous, that it’s non-news. Can’t bother even speculating. If they are trying to stir up hype by being vague, I’m not interested.

I agree the nerf to dungeon chests was not fun. Coupled with the champion train nerfs, it herded people into the path of least resistance, commonly known as EotM (which was originally designed as WvW and is now nothing but a PvE karma/loot train in a WvW zone.)

However, I’ve found that my 52 alts are quite useful for farming. 29 are level 80 in at least exotics, and working on my 3rd and 4th set of full ascended.

Well, sort of. Because mostly I’m playing Wildstar for PvE, and logging on GW2 for an hour to farm/do daily and then trying to enjoy what is left of WvW, until that gets to the point where it’s been driven into the dirt and my guild finally realizes it’s time to move on.

EoTM Matches Being "Fixed"? *Updated*

in WvW

Posted by: goldenwing.8473

goldenwing.8473

EotM is designated as a WvW zone, not SPvP. As has been said throughout Season2, “match fixing” language specific to SPvP does not apply to WvW: (please see NA T1 “win trading” throughout Season 2-Tournament for examples of what is allowed.) Since a precedent for match fixing has already been set for WvW during Tournament, assume that will be the guiding rule for EotM.

Doesn’t matter what gear you are wearing at level 2. You’ll be down so much , only the repair NPC will care.

You won’t be able to do much at that level. Be prepared for flak from your own server mates.

Stupid advice: Necro or longbow Warrior and for gawd’s sake, stand in the back out of red circles which will be everywhere.

Best advice: do yourself, your fellow server mates and the rest of the WvW players a favor and level up before going back out.

2nd Bday is closing, and we get...

goldenwing.8473

Hi all,

We are closing to the 2nd birthday of the game. Those who have pre-started the game willl have at least 1 character that turns to 2 at 25th of August.

I think we get the usual bday booster, some very “exciting” mini and the experience scroll.

But for the 2nd bday of the game i was awating something bigger. New race, precursor scavenger hunt, new dungeon etc…

What you think we get?
How will GW2 celebrate the 2nd?

Cheers,
Beer

I think we will get continued silence on the WvW board. Trivial, in-game fluff can’t compensate for trust and won’t generate goodwill for what feels like an abandoned portion of the game.

What Karizee has posted is the correct way to handle griefing for GW2. That (time consuming) method generally precludes abuse by players trying to use the reporting system itself in an attempt to grief. It’s a decently balanced approach.

Understand you won’t get any feedback. And in the case of WvW, you will probably not get any resulting action and will continue to see the same person continuing their actions unabated. It’s one of the on-going issues that WvW players have highlighted.

LA will be “repaired” when it’s repaired.

“Nothing is off the table."

After all it’s a “living world”.

Expect changes.

Including more destruction of other zones, like a vexatious toddler mimicking a rampaging Godzilla kicking through a pile of toy blocks.

(Still trying to understand why the game with some of the most beautiful artwork is hell-bent on destroying it.)

As far as speculation: no point. It’s ANet’s game. They do things for their own internal reasons with total opaqueness.

/laugh

in WvW

Posted by: goldenwing.8473

goldenwing.8473

I /laugh when 4 of us are pounding on a keep, get scouted and suddenly 40+ people (or the whole enemy zerg) lands on us. I find that situation comical in the extreme; the laugh is on us for being caught and outflanked. Of course if we are seconds from the lord down, and seconds from the timer, I’ll admit, I’m not laughing. If we make it, I will be laughing at how close we came, but you won’t see me do an emote.

If you’re an enemy that overwhelmed us with sheer numbers, doing an emote at me after I’m down, like I’ve said before, I’m sorry, I won’t see it, I’ve already got my map open, clicking on the waypoint. I’ve got better ways to spend my time.

If you’re an enemy doing an emote to try and taunt. Don’t bother. Either you go down or I go down. If it’s a good fight, you get a /bow and/or a /salute. If you’re taunting me to try and draw me in, I’m not going to have someone kite me across the map if I’m not strategically headed that way, so you’ll just get ignored.

Of course, I’ve successfully kited my fair share of warriors and guardians across the map myself without taunting. What is it about you guys not able to kill an Elementalist that kittens you off so much? That’s a serious question.

/stops rambling

I will /laugh at situations. (like being grossly outnumbered)

I won’t laugh at players in WvW who are genuinely trying to fight.

I’ve got nothing to prove, except to improve.

Delete inactive character names, please.

goldenwing.8473

Hmmm. between my 52 alts, there are a few that I don’t get around to logging on except once in a blue moon. I paid extra for those character slots. If deleted, would I get my money back? I don’t think so.

btw, even with those 52 names created, I’ve had over a dozen name changes as well. I must be doing something wrong if I’m able to come up with that many unique versions. Yes, there were a few names I’ve run into that someone else had cleverly thought of. Good for them! It meant I needed to get even more creative to find ones that work for me and my quirky sense of humor. Some are RPG names, some are puns, some are carry overs from other games in my 15+ years of play. They all have meaning for me, as do my characters.

There’s an inherent, unspoken contract implied as part of an MMO: permanence. I know ANet has broken that several times, removing content, destroying content, changing purchased items into something else (looking at you wardrobe changes). Yes, I understand the legality of the EULA. However, there is the emotional/good faith portion of an MMO that is important to customers as well. Destroying personal choices for names, the only real “ownership” any player has in a game would be the last piece of destruction I would ever tolerate in a game that a developer dares to call an MMO.

Sorry for the lack of eloquence today, I’m still struggling to understand the amount of sheer entitlement contained in the concept of deleting names from one player to accommodate another.

GW 2 for kids

Good luck with your decision, and hope it all works out well.

Sounds like you have things well under control. And sounds like your daughter is a winner!

My daughter was also very active, even though she played MMOs (studied dance for 12 years as well.) The female body types/armor displayed in many MMOs (bouncing female NE’s in WoW for example) can provide very good starting points for open conversations if you choose. My daughter actually deplored (and still does) armor that is not modest. We’ve had plenty of discussions over the years about this, and she would be the first to tell you she never saw anything in an MMO that wasn’t being broadcast by media and society in general. Anything, even an MMO, can used as a learning tool/teaching moment.

She plays mostly Asura and Sylvari, and at least in this game, you can adjust the body types. So that’s another plus for GW2.

PS: Almost all Asura armor will be inherently more modest. So there’s one more for GW2 as well.

To me, WvW is a huge 24/7 battleground where you can have infinite fun just by roaming / taking structures / defending structures / have some fun with guildies and friends / having fun with the enemies etc etc, still keeps me entertained to this day.

The main problem is for me I am unable to find any definitive goals like in PvE where its like “Spend 5 hours doing this to get this shiny thing”. Kind of like the PvP rewards.

@OP: have you tried EotM? The play/reward structure there may be a better fit.

Aggression to players in teams unique to GW2?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: goldenwing.8473

goldenwing.8473

Overall, in my 15+ years online gaming, GW2 has one of the best communities I’ve seen outside of DAoC’s Gaheris (which set an unprecedented high water standard).

So, yes, there are players that exhibit far worse behavior in other games, using instanced dungeons to grief, demanding gear check, spec check, (insert anything and everything here to control), etcetera.

It’s been researched and noted that generally speaking, 10% of a gaming population at anytime will be comprised of “griefers”. Blame the innate discrepancies of human development.

GW2 is a casual game compared to most, and the griefing here, comparatively mild.

Yes, it’s annoying. Some of it could be contained with improvements to the group-kick mechanics, which has been the topic of threads in the past.

What can make WvW as good as DAoC?

in WvW

goldenwing.8473

It appeared that Warhammer Online was hamstrung before it got out the door, first by the constraints imposed by the necessary agreement to adhere very strictly to the classes and visual asthetics of the board game. And secondly, by the technology of the engine that forced them to abandon the open city sieges during beta. The first was annoying, the second was killer and T4 lakes design was the final nail. (And btw, Mark acknowledges the issue with the engine, hence them redesigning one in-house for CU.)

Applying that to GW2 to keep this post relevant: players wanted large scale fights (without player limits) that felt epic, and maps without grossly overdone pinch points.

I do wish that GW2 had picked up Warhammer’s use of the tiered scenarios and their application of points to the overall battles. It was fun to pop into those short skirmishes leveling up. I think that was a better design of the “ppt” concept. (Very small, instanced maps, short timer -10-15 mins). Would have liked to have seen that instead of EotM.

GW 2 for kids

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: goldenwing.8473

goldenwing.8473

My son was 10 and mature for his age when he started playing online (FPS). I joined and played with him, monitoring some of the immediate community around him.

4 years later, my daughter also expressed interest in the games the two of us were playing at that time (DAoC). At 10, she was less aware, so we made a rule that she could only run with us in a group (my husband eventually joined us). We were part of a larger alliance, leading server raids, and we basically ran with her chat off for a few years and she was fine. We did not use teamspeak.

Both of my children’s PCs were set up in the family room which was open, great room style to the kitchen, and easy access/open flow/hearing to both my home office and my husband’s home office. Neither of them resented our “polite distance” and often asked for help dealing with some situations (nothing to be concerned about), mostly just social norms. Keeping those communication lines open with them allowed them to ask when needed without concerns. And yes, we did have conversations sometimes about why other people said and did things they way they did. That’s just the normal part of parenting, whether that’s online, in school, in a religious environment, in the world in general.

15 years later we still play as a family guild. And when they are both home from college on vacations (son is 3rd year law school/working), daughter finishing college, they still hang out with their PCs in the same spot like an extended LAN party.

ONLY YOU understand how mature your child is, what they can handle, and what measures you need to protect them, help them, and the amount of freedom they need.

Only you can make a call about what might be scary for them. I will admit that even as a 40+ something year old in DAoC, I managed to have nightmares one night from a raid in the depths of DF (a demon infested dungeon). If you are flexible, and attentive, you’ll be able to gauge whether one or two incidents need to be handled permanently, or just let go as a learning experience.

The fact that you are asking out here already says you’re on top of it.

Sharing an account means no money spent. Buying a separate one means you can play together. Do what is comfortable for you.

And btw, don’t worry about anyone telling you gaming isn’t ok for kids. As long as their lives are in balance, and their grades are ok, they will be fine. My children learned invaluable lessons about society, politics, reputation, marketing, being part of a community, teamwork and helping others, to name a few. There was a Harvard study done which noted that gamers have the same (if not more) success rate as those who’ve gone through Harvard Business School.

Won’t brag about my kids, but trust me, they did just fine.

PS: Overall, I believe if you stick to PvE, I agree that the community in GW2 is better than WoW’s.

PPS: I would NOT recommend Wildstar. It has some adult language and can be overwhelming in its complexity for a first time player. Also, the game gets considerably harder as you level and requires a trinity, just like WoW.

It’s possible to solo in WoW. May not be as fun, graphics aside.

GW2 allows any class to be successful out here without absolutely requiring a group. The other advantage is that if it is your current game, then you are in a better place to offer help/advice and can play more comfortably together.

As others have said, Fractals, WvW and SPvP offer “endgame” on an on-going basis.

Other games offer new zones, classes, races, dungeons as well as improvements to their own version of PvP.

ANet apparently chose to adhere to a direction that treats GW2 more as a continued CMO with living story updates than taking the more “traditional” MMO approach and investing in further development into dungeons and WvW.

Not going to speculate on why or make assumptions that more development in those areas is forthcoming when we’ve had a dev basically say they’ll tell us about new developments when they have something they can talk about. (see: WvW board).

What that means is, take it or leave it, what you see is what you get.

@OP: trust me, I know how you feel. The new LS took less than 3 hours for the whole thing, the writing was better than I expected and less than I’d hoped. And I haven’t bothered going back for achievements.

JQ apparently has dominant SEA coverage. (Mods: this is not match-up talk, trying to help fellow player find a good time to get map complete.)

In the past, many players who wanted to get map complete would temporarily transfer to other servers who owned that particular part of the WvW map.

It is up to you to determine if you want to hand ANet money to do that, or if you’d prefer to just wait, do what you can do solo out there (many PoI’s / Vistas can be done that way), and being patient.

Seasons

From the official GW2 wiki:

Tournament system

Periodically, tournaments (previously known as a season) will be held for World versus World. Worlds fight other worlds over the course of multiple weeks to earn points; 1st place gives 5 points, 2nd place gives 3 points, and 3rd place gives 1 point. At the end of the tournament, players in each world receive rewards for their world’s ranking based on points earned. Throughout the tournament, players can earn individual rewards through limited time achievements and achievement rewards.

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/WVW#Tournament_system

And see Rewards (NOTE: this was for Season2, which was just completed)

Every achievement has a reward chest containing a variety of items, including ascended crafting materials.
Completing 10 of the achievements will award players the WvW Spring Tournament 2014 Veteran meta-achievement, a title (Mist Runner), and a chest of rewards for their world at the conclusion of the tournament.
At the conclusion of the tournament, players who have completed the WvW Spring Tournament 2014 meta-achievement will receive a reward based on their world’s placement within their league.
Each reward chest has a number of WvW Tournament Claim Tickets based on the performance of the world during the tournament.
Due to a bug in which some players did not receive their reward chest for successful completion of the WvW Spring Tournament 2014 Veteran meta-achievement, Arenanet delayed activation of the Battle Historian selling rewards and players were unable to turn their tickets in for rewards. An official forum post on June 12th, 2014 revealed that the bug will be fixed and rewards will be activated in the June 17th build. In addition and as compensation for the delay in rewards, all players that completed the WvW Spring Tournament 2014 Veteran meta-achievement will receive an additional 100 reward tickets regardless of World performance.

Go here for more details regarding rewards:

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/WvW_Spring_Tournament_2014

At the moment, we are between tournaments (seasons).

The next season should be in the September-October timeframe (according to speculation). It has not been announced yet.

I like having achievements (which I do know that those already exist) but the main thing is a definitive victory that would count towards something for my character.

WvW Seasons would have the closest thing to what you are looking for. There are “real” rewards (e.g. weapon skins) for “winning”.

If access to badges for ascended jewelry / infuses isn’t enough reward, and leveling in WvW to gain more WvW rank / points isn’t enough progression, then perhaps another game that has more progression-style PvP play might better suit your purposes.

GW2 as a whole is not a progression-oriented game. There are other games that are.

Whats the point of WvW?

in WvW

Posted by: goldenwing.8473

goldenwing.8473

For me:

Point of WvW: Community. Fighting with and for your teammates. Being part of something bigger. (Yup, server pride.) Even being part of the WvW playerbase with the common love of this style of play.

Goals: fun, improvement, unpredictability, strategy, competition, challenge. (Great deal of fun trying to take a tower or keep with only 4 people, trying to beat the timer, while it’s being defended.)

Let me ask you this, have you ever taken the classic Bartle gamer personality type test?

Do you see yourself as more of an achiever (driven by accomplishments), someone who values being social, someone who values exploration, or someone who enjoys being a competitive “killer”? (Usually people are a mix of at least 3.) Might provide insight into what kind of gameplay you enjoy.

What has been your MMO experience? Do you enjoy games that have definite goals and directed gameplay? Are you open to creating your own sense of fun with goals that you yourself develop?

There are multiple ways to play WvW and a lot of it is what you make of it.

I believe you just asked: why do people play sports?

All you need is Mark Jacobs.

Sorry, he’s busy working on Camelot Unchained.

And Matt Firor was working on ESO.

Neither of which guaranteed anything.

My guildmate got a precursor drop off either a player or a mob in WvW (lot of combat going on at the time in the camp.)

I got a precursor off a fish in Gendarran doing a PvE daily.

Reinforced the random part of RNG for us.

PS: you can gamble in WvW, you can gamble in PvE, you can gamble using the mystic toi.. er forge or you can grind, save up and buy either the precursor or legendary on the TP (guaranteed.)

Good luck.

Swap EOTM and EB for a week?

in WvW

Posted by: goldenwing.8473

EotM would be a fantastic place for FPS with rocket boots and jet packs.

For group-pvp in an MMO, not so much. For most of the reasons previously listed on this forum, including this thread.

Like the idea of a fresh map rotation. Needs to be a different map; maybe tweaking one of the starter zones, for instance…

What can make WvW as good as DAoC?

in WvW

Posted by: goldenwing.8473

goldenwing.8473

Folks, please read. The OP isnt saying lets make this DAoC, or going back to how DAoC system was. the OP is saying what can be done, knowing what we know now about RvR/wvw systems that can bring about a better wvw experience.

We’ve had those discussions out here, ad nauseum, on other boards, and sometimes directly with the developers.

We’ve discussed fatal flaws in transfers and how that’s corrupted the original RvR concept.

We’ve offered suggestions for improving WvW in many different, detailed ways.

Thank you for your post, though; it was a timely reminder that I’m just repeating myself out here like an old man sharing stories in an empty echo chamber. My apologies.

I’ll just leave it at that.

Does WvW feel fresh or stale to you?

in WvW

Posted by: goldenwing.8473

goldenwing.8473

The whole game feels stale. Including LS (stories seem predictable.) No expansions, no new races, no new professions, no new zones, no new maps.

WvW is the last bastion of hope given that it is supposed to be “unpredictable”. Except we are all playing against the same servers, on the same maps, using the same strategies, with predictable outcomes.

/insert definition of “insanity” here

Raph Koster said it best in his book about gaming: fun is learning to overcome challenge.

Nothing new to learn. No new challenges. Except learning to deal with the challenge of what feels like stale gameplay.

Appreciate the thought behind the thread; not sure the thread will survive out here.

PS: Would love to be surprised by ANet and have my entire post proven wrong.

What can make WvW as good as DAoC?

in WvW

Posted by: goldenwing.8473

goldenwing.8473

Q: What can make WvW as good as DAoC’s?

A: Rose-colored glasses and a time machine.

I’m not being sarcastic. The RvR concept implemented in DAoC was in a different era.

I loved DAoC and the RvR there. Still my all-time favorite MMO; and I have no illusions about the balance issues (52 classes at one point) and the problems that ToA created. (Yes, I was on the internals board.)

First, there was no such thing as server transfers. If you wanted to play on a different realm you rerolled from scratch. And PvE leveling, then releveling RRs was painful. Or you bought a “used” account, and whatever reputation went with it (which back then, was everything.) Let’s not even talk about the weapon leveling process that erupted from ToA.

The population was incredibly small compared to today’s averages. (300k at peak).

And “coverage” back then meant that someone scheduled a 3 or 5 AM surprise relic raid when everybody else was sleeping.

And as for maps, they weren’t even trying to be balanced. Most of the fighting took place in the large, open, flat areas of Emain, affectionately known as “the golfcourse”.

And do we really want to go back to paying for gate repairs as well as having to haul lumber while encumbered? I know I don’t.

Those are most of the significant differences. Not all are good ones. Yes, realm pride and community there was amazing. That sense carried forward into this game’s implementation of RvR in some small measure.

As much as I believe server transfers are an issue (and have said I don’t believe characters that have stepped into WvW ought to be able to transfer), it’s a different era, and transfers have been a game industry norm now for almost a decade.

So yes, there are things that can be done to improve GW2’s WvW… but it needs to be a step forward refining what currently exists. And the current design implementation already includes server transfers which can’t be undone. I can’t see throwing that out to take a step back towards DAoC.

/turns discussion back towards details such as siege, etcetera

Questions, questions...

in WvW

goldenwing.8473

What I think I’ve just heard again is apparently the result of an inwardly focused culture that seems to value internal processes above customers (concerns/experience.)

I hope I heard that wrong.

I’m at a total loss to understand this, both as a retired software developer and as a customer.

Not sure how to think about this: on the one hand, some players will appreciate the response; I personally would have felt better not having seen it (reinforces unwanted concept).

Maybe that removing dye drops makes gathering plants much less fun or is it just me that ignores plants now?

Although I like the new dye system, I would agree (although others may not), that gathering plants/wood seems less fun without the anticipation of a “surprise” dye drop. Just had that “I remember when…” feeling yesterday and noticed it felt a little sad.

Confessions

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

goldenwing.8473

I don’t worry about how other players are playing, even in zone events and WvW, and enjoy what I can about the game without feeling jealous, or worrying about their build, their signets, their gear, because I know I am playing to best of my abillity which includes a customized min/max build/gear based entirely on optimizing how I play, my skill set, etcetera and I am constantly looking to improve.

I confess, I’ve run explorables and fractals with only 4 in a group and 1-shotted Arah paths first time just fine.

I confess, I don’t worry about whether other people share my values or perspective because frankly, I don’t have time.

And I further confess that I don’t feel entitled to anything out here except, maybe now, the ability to confess.

Thanks for the thread, it was a relief to type all that.

Need help choosing a WVW main

in Players Helping Players

goldenwing.8473

Which tier server are you playing on?

Are you planning to solo roam? The tier server you are on can make a difference, especially depending on what time you play.

Whichever class you choose, pick something that has stealth / speed and can get away quickly. (A well played Mesmer is often hard for a lot of other professions to handle, and Warriors and Thiefs are extra zippy. )

For specs, try asking this same question on the WvW board.

On the incredible off-chance that this is in no way shape or form an unbelievably boorish troll post:

yes, it’s allowed. The 3-way concept allows this. ANet allows this and has stated that WvW is not designed to be fair.

Please ask fellow WvW players on your own server about this issue for a clearer understanding. Or visit the official matchup forum.
