How about instead DON’T GIVE FREAKING FREE TRANSFERS to nr1 EU server so people don’t have to spend 24 hours inside the battlegrounds for the fear of 4 hour long queves?

This sounds unreal to be honest.So the Anet staff just had a meeting and the outcome was they decided that the server that was winning for the last 4 weeks in tier 1 needs some more players.What better way to get reinforcements then free transfers right? i mean who in their right minds want to go to the best server FOR FREE.I bet people form high populated servers just swarmed to Vabbi right ?

I believe a lot of people still don’t realize what they have done here.It is actually so unbelievable that maybe not evet Anet itself doesn’t realize what a huge mistake they have done.Oh and the lag…..

I guess you on SFR have at least up to an hour.

We used to have 30 min to an hour queves on primetime already.Now with the free transfers we get between 2 up to 4 hours sadly.I for example was a little late and started the queve at 19:00.Got in at 20.30 and after 5 min of terible lag and skill delay i crashed.By the time i got in again maybe 20 min(because the raid was called off) the raid got called off so useless to stay.Normal routine in SFR nowdays .Nice job anet

Oh man THIS is exactly what happened to Piken when the end of free xfers was announced.From a perfectly organized hard woerking server to worse than kitten in only a few days.People are raging all over the place.Guilds can’t get their people in and score points,ridiculously neverending 2,3 hours long queves and the baaaaaaaaaaaaaad bad quality of the players that seem to have come straight from queensdale event farming.

Even when some guilds do manage to get an acceptable number on a map they are either too bored after 2 hours waiting in queve/they time is up or they are unable to do anything becasue they don’t have anyone to cooperate with.

Scouts §?Yeah as you can imagine aparently you don’t need them in pve so what are those. GoGO SFR hell yeah .

Thanx ANET for allowing me to experience this kitten not once but twice and all for free .Keep up the good work.Love how WvW is also unplayable cuz of ridiculous lag and zero free content but hey thx for all the brand new pve areas content that you introduce every month.Designing one map or get some decent servers must be way harder than that.Seems legit.

im a Deso player NOT SFR! i have a lot of friends on desolation but zero in SFR. One of my best respected friend and ally is Moorta from IRON. He is the best commander in EU. So ANET having stone age inadequate servers is actuallly player’s fault that they engage in massive scale pvp in a massive scale pvp mode they created.

I would have loved a lot better some passive abbilities like 5% chance of gaining protection or stability for 5 seconds/30 sec cooldown when hit or 5% chance on gaining fury 5sec/30 sec cd and so on for such a big ammount od points.That would make a lot more sense for the ridiculous grind than these absolutely useless skills we have got.Just my 2 cents

Pushing Viz all afternoon on EB was fun. Well, it was up until they go back to the “by any means possible” mentality…

I don’t usually defend VS but in this case the screenie looks 100% legit.You can perfectly shooot inside the tower and in particular at that spot if you place an arrow cart near the gate.To confirm that this is no the case in the future you should take a screenie with the position of the AC too so people can make clear judgement but as it stands the screenie shows a perfectly 100% legit situation since the ac is not visible and we can only asume is placed exactly near or in front of the gate.

EU will be considered lightly. Our members are mostly from SEA and AUS, most having an average bandwidth of only 1MB which will effect our ping and lag (Dunno how the new culling will effect our lines also)

There is only 1 way to find out .Get a few guys transfer for a week so you can check out the whole matchup/situation/Ping.Actually i recomend you try and send more scouts over to the servers you are considering and it will provide a far better view.Choices like this are better not rushed and is hard to make one on merely videos a few recruiting posts .Go live and see the real deal with you own eyes.My 2 cents

EU t1 is your best choice Seafarer’s Rest/Visunah Square(FR)/Desolation.

Both Seafarer’s and Desolation are english speaking servers with both a very strong community and both servers are home to the best guilds wvw in EU and debatable all gw2 to name just a very few :

Red guard,Zadrots,Votf,Iron,BOON Control,ex KAZ divided between both servers,siN(can’t not throw mine in or i get kick :P),AFTL,OSC,VcY and many many others that will provide you with the best and hardest challange this game has to offer yet regardless of timezones.

At least a few of these guilds have no need to introduction so i believe it is very easy for anyone to make a search on their countless streams and wvw videos that are updated almost daily.Eu t1 is also probabily the best place to also match your GvG skill s with your worst probable nightmares xd

Also if you are a hardcore wvw guild you might apreciate the difference of the gameplay and meta between EU and US t1 and whatever the outcome it will be impossible to come short on an experience like this

EU salutes and hopes you will have fun on whatever your choice will be .

Just now, someone ordered merchants in SM while we where waiting for T3 upgrade. This upgrade, naturally, drained all our supply, and 4 minutes later the french zerg shows up. In this case, led by LM.

With 25 + golem vs 10 defenders, you would have taking SM anyway, so this was a very unnecessary move tbh.

So is the new fashion on deso to make stuff up now just to look cooler?.First IRON gets ganked by 3 guilds when we were clearly only 2 on the map RNV and siN.We had no queve whatsoever ,literally no queve at all.Then Votf sees 40 siN @ 5 am?.We had narely 15 guys in ts anf they were already saying good night.The only thing that mafe us try to save hills in the 1St plave was sacrx that had a few rg and the rest of pugs on the other side of the map.When we got to inner you guys already capped hills and we had no supplies.Someone trew a cata saying"just see if we have enough suply" but we knew we didn’t have any.At that point we should have waited for sacrx and the rest of pugs to go resuply,come to hills and start siege against a keep with 400 suply stocked so yeah we just went to sleep making even Sacrx rage a bit :d.

You are stretching the truth a bit there matey I was in the camp fight and we were getting hit by at least 3 guilds from different directions . your sheer amount numbers was impressive though. while we struggled to get half our guild into deso
and therefore couldn`t muster the Iron BLOB . . I will also say if the patch doesn`t deliver wvw will die a quick death as a lot of people are losing interest.

No Really.Truth is only sin and rnv were on that map with barely enough friendlies as scouts.I believe there is a stream about our all evening in one of the posts above.We did not have a queve on that map all night.I disconnected several times and got right in without any queve whatsoever.Also lag was surprisingly absent with very small delay at some times.You guys put an awesome fight.Just enjoy the fights for what they are.We lose some we win some that is what we( i) love about the game.

About the last pharse about the patch ,yes, sadly many people are loosing interest in the current state of the game and it shows in all guilds .We share the same concern on the matter.

Stop with the sfr nightcapping nonsense allready it got old a while ago.when visunah will stop throwing 60 guys minimum from 1 to 9 am you can start talking all you want about it.The truth is that vs still has the highest activity at all hours in the night but unfortunately they only know how to pvdoor or 5vs1 and now that sfr has some people actually playing at those hours it completely screwed their meta.Also add to the context they had huge reinforcements from jade sea this week so i sm very curious how that will play out.

Ps: try and stop from referring and use terms like nightcap and pvd if your only source of info about the timezone is trolls on this thread and you logging in the morning yo see sfr having a higher score without actually having any clue about what is really happening at night.Try and log in for once in a while and if you still continue to argue that vs isn’t still the bigges eu force at night and early morning you are simply trolling here.

Sfr had 50-60 Visunah players to play againts ALL night so i would not call the PvDoor.Get the facts straight.SFR never did and will probabily never do pvd and the reason for that is your really high participation 24h arround the clock and tbh we really appreciate that because we play for the PvP for whatever that matters.Winning without absolutely no PvDooring whatsoever and on the contrary having really high opposition from Visunah all night long makes the victory so much sweeter.

Bottomline i suggest a revisit of your definition of pvdoor if fighting vs 60 guys live is that.You won a cookie for the try from my part

Nobody is happy in t1 atm but it remains the only tier where you can have some decent fights without having to have 2 hours of fun in the primetime then pvdoor for 22 hours straight cuz no opposition sadly.

If i were a solo player i would totally love the lower tiers more but unfortunately competitive guilds have no real other place to go.Is either skill lag to death and ragequit or move to lower tiers to pvdoor to death and ragequit :S.

Yes we lost 2 keeps between those 2 epic fights in bay and garri but it was so epic that it was totally worth.The guys that fought both those battles got over 1k kills no kidding .There were groups regrouping and poping merchants more than 5 times it was that crazy.

imo the banner ressing is only annoying because of anet’s failure with skill lag.Its really hard to counter it when you need to wait 20 seconds to activate a skill so please the counter arguments are really bad.And if we were that bad you guys wouldn’ have to respawn over 10 times.We also took your t3 hills in deso bl during that fight so for me it was a win.

About the 1st battle in bay we had to deal with the same banner rez issue and we fought both servers.Unfortunately the vs blob decided that wiping 3 times on lords was enough and took advantage to steal hills xd but as i said before it was totally worth it.Holding head to 2 consecitive blobs made up of the entire population of the map minus scouts charging in one after another,wihout neing able to heal or get reinforcements because the constant nattle and closed walls/doors scoring over 500 kills for the average joe and in the end capping it really is impressive in my book.So much about sfr has no skill mindless ramble but i guess things like these give trolls the reason to hate but we just proceed in the next asswhooping on the battlefield with our so calle lowerquality,or whatever makes you haters happy.

Jokes apart props to deso and vs will of fighting without that those 2 epic battles would never have happened bu please trolls stop crying mindless rabble and try to give the right props to people that in the end prevailed or regardless of the outcome fought and held against almost impossible ods.

I was a fan of em last year, seemed like good server(I actually moved to them for few weeks last year when they were mid tier to get away from RUIN on Deso, and to have fair fights etc..) And seemed like great little server. They never had the pop of the big servers yet seemed to be very organised and have good skill level of pugs.

I’d have to disagree totally with all that now tbh, I’m sure the ‘old skool’ SFRs are still around and grand but since there boom to T1 last year and esp now again since the free transfers stopped they have gone down a massive hill.
Obviously they have gone up score wise and are no1 server now and probably will be for few more weeks, but the average pug I come a cross is pretty bad, and I can count at least 10 times in last 5 days I’ve gotten party invites from SFR players I’ve killed 1v1 or 5v4 etc.. that just call you ‘desoscum’ and troll for 5mins, I always let them vent as they are just bad losers but by god SFR is going downhill fast, and its a shame to see.

Could be a case of success breeds contempt for some, but I really don’t care who is 1 or 2. In fact I’ve always preferred T2 or T3 then T1.
The best thing that can happen for SFR now is a drop down tiers as some big guilds move back to where they came from pikenSquare or w/e and the real SFR players build back up again, done wonders for deso after the RUIN shambles, We will never be 1st again way things are, and that’s just fine by me and most I know who play.

TLDR; SFR have some very skilled guilds and players, but since there upward run through the tiers they have attracted a tonne load of very bad players and trolls, and imo they are bringing the name of server down to the dumps. It’s a shame.

TLDR; SFR have some very skilled guilds and players, but since there upward run through the tiers they have attracted a tonne load of very bad players and trolls, and imo they are bringing the name of server down to the dumps. It’s a shame.

If your zerg gets killed by 1 ac the joke is on you! I would give a +1 to remove the acs all together though .Zoomhack is by far and a real problem unlike a warrior on an ac lol.I can immobilize you for 20 seconds straight and not even be on an arrowcart anyway.

You can’t log in to the WvW chests. You enter WvW only by queueing and start at your team’s hill.

It’s probably someone using a hack to teleport to the chest’s coordinates. Just report them when you see it.

Ahm .The op didn’t mention anything about being in WvW and i just assumed this happened in a pve zone where you can perfectly do that.I personally do it on some ore node when i feel lazy since i have 5 alts and barely ever use them.

If this happened in WvW then the op should specify that but without having that information i just tried to answer him with what i had .Not everything is a hack so stop being paranoid plz

Everyone thinkiny that there is the slightest colaboration between sfr and deso are just simply delusional.

Moving towards better arguments WL was really nice how you guys fought last night.We couldn’t touch garri last night but a decent part of that is to be atributed to IRON that just wouldn’t stop focusing us.Strange tactic since reason dictates that VS is their prime enemy this week fighting for the spot in t1 but all in all was a real fun night on VS bl.I would say reset on this bl was a draw draw in both keeps hold and wipes between all the 3 participants and many 3 way fights.

Unfortunately sfr was the only server that didn’t have a 1 mega guild on the map and our forces were always divided but i certainly can’t blame 2 big guilds like wl and iron that they prefer to play as one.
Gl guys and keep the good fights commuing.

Ps: WvW and the game in general needs more stuff added not removed,it is complexity and choice that creates the entertaining not simple dull stuff.What is next ? remove skins? remove colors? remove weapon choices too cuz that creates inbalance ? No sir thank you very much.

Removing food from wvw will also bring a huge inbalance on the market since no one will be ever using any other food than magic find+gold for pve in addition making the crafting proffesion literally useless.

I know,i have too already realized that some people will complain just about everything and considering the last karma consumable worked tought should give a shot at this too but the difference is everybody loves consumables in WvW and if you are not using them then is your own problem and you should deal with it acordingly not try to destroy the game for thousands if not tens of thousands of players.

What happens with equal numbers? cuz i don’t really know.We on SFR won’t ever make a 90 man blob of everyone on the map just to make a few kills.Instead our groups with 30-40 players tops(half of them pugs)always do the work as intended.

Yeah but us preffering to attack for example the VS keep instead of the DESO one for 1st is not even by far the kind of focus some french comrades in here are trying to emply.We are by no means focusing visunah and forget about deso,we just give priority on visunah because they are the ones standing between us and rank 1.

Also this is by all means a 3 way fight and visunah only falls victim because they just have no fighting skills in comparison with the other two.The trolls are very quick to conclude different meaning from remarks like “We would love to have a nice 3 way war with another server like Deso.” ,when in fact the meaning of that phrase is that SFR would love to fight 2 strong fighting servers instead of just one while the other is pvdoor.

Nobody is focusing anyone.Tbh most of the fights i had and remember were all against Bull,Votf,God,IRON,Dsd and very great fights apart from the lame blobbing.Props to Bull and Votf that sometimes stack from the blob and give us some more balanced fights but unfortunately that doesn’t happen often enough.Anyway blobbing up pays sometime because we all get into a stalemate state where no one can’t cap anything for hours until raids start to break and meanwhile visunah are being the bonus pieces on the map.Basicly SFR and DESO are running arround trying hard to flank one another and we are all happy when we see some VS zerg tags on the map,it takes some pressure off.Some easy badges are always a good motivator to take the biterness of the wipes away ,and i believe i speak for both you guys on deso and sfr when i say this ^^
