Of course you are alright with it if you are another race. You get our kitten armor for half the price plus bells and whistles. On the other hand, I still can’t use any of the awesome norn cultural armors which would fit equally fine on a human.

I guess Anet really wants us all to be norns. First snow leopard form is still overpowered as hell a year later, and now this. But I will never become a norn because their voices are absolutely horrid.

Seriously though, this is the first time that I have ever been REALLY kitten ed off at anet. This is an unexcusable cash grab with no attention given to the consequences. And with how ugly the medium and heavy versions are, it’s obvious that the light version is what they are expecting to sell cartloads of.

I actually play a human. And I really want the norn T1 for her.. so maybe I can have that some day.

So— this is really cool but Human T3? Are we going to see other culture armors in the gemstore.. because I would be all for that.. but I can see some being upset. BTW it looks very cool I plan on purchasing.

It’s funny how they “say” ‘confusion is too strong in wvw. It kills your HP too fast when the mesmer can stack 5 confusions and you mindlessly keep autoattacking. Better half the damage.’
Then they implement a living story where mobs easily inflict 10+ confusion stacks on you with full damage, while they often don’t get a single confusion tick.

Balancing seems still to be much more important for PvP/ WvW. And they have to be able to no-brain with autoattacks. And better implement a condition which punishes you while moving.

I always think it is odd that mobs that can apply confusion hurt more than our confusion does.. Reef drakes get a few stacks that last what 10 seconds? It is always a longer duration then ours and they stack it much faster.

Completely agree. I think that we may have to wait until Wildstar releases though. NCSoft may not want them competing like that.

Just curious if this is the last weekend for the kit and it leaves on Monday night or if it is going through the next living story as well.

Thanks so much. I will most certainly stay in one attunement to get a feel for it. I keep going between staff, scepter/focus and dagger/focus. I just cannot decide which feels better and more fun.

Well I have my keybindings set up for my mesmer… they are pretty comfortable for switching around between the 4 it just seems like I am never sure if I should just stay in 1 attunement and auto attack or be switching constantly.

Edit- also should I focus on 1 weapon set as I level or try to learn them all as I go? I really like the focus but not sure on the dagger or scepter to go with it.

I have tried a few times to level an elementalist and they are always deleted fairly quickly. I am determined this time but I am really lost on attunements. How often should I be switching through them? Do they ever feel easier to know when you should be going to a new attunement and which one? Or am I just destined to not get the elementalist

Any helpful tips appreciated!

I can understand why there’s some confusion.

Here is the first statement regarding dolyak finishers when Season 1 was announced.

The winning world in each league will unlock a stack of supply dolyak finishers for their use in WvW and PvP. 1st place in the gold league will get a gold dolyak, 1st place in the silver league a silver dolyak, and 1st place in the bronze league a bronze dolyak.

Regarding the duration of the finisher, on September 1st, Devon Carter said this …

Winners will have access to the finisher until there are new winners. At that point those people will gain access and the winners from the previous season will no longer have access to the stomp.

Think of it like this, the finisher is intended to show off who won the last season. If you don’t continue to win each and every season, you will not retain the bragging rights.

So we’ve gone from a “stack” of dolyak finishers, for the winners of each league receiving gold, silver and bronze finishers, to the top three servers in each league getting a temporary but semi-permament finisher? Will it be Gold, Silver and Bronze in each league, or will it be 3 golds, 3 silvers and 3 bronzes (bronzes sounds funny … bronzezess my precious!) somehow separated by 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes?

I’ll admit I’m pretty confused too. Maybe Devon can clarify if it’s just inconsistent wording or if something changed.

Well.. One thing you may not be aware of is programs that send people text messages the instant they are outbid. There may be bots but more than likely it is the text message programs. I had a huge post/debate going on about this a few months ago and I think these programs should be banned but nothing so far so doubt it will happen.

It does see through stealth I went in as snowleapord (Norn warrior). I got it with the help of a thief he tried to stealth me in but it saw me through it. I just let the champ attack him as I got the point. Really though- This needs to be looked at because I guested to 2 other servers and was unable to find people to just kill it and stealth does not work.

How about making it so you do not get killed by a group event in a pretty quiet zone for a skill point? This knight basically 1 shots me as I try to get up to the skill point and no one wants to come kill him. It is in Malchor’s leap.

The listing for this mini is bugged as well.

I really thought it would be fixed last night. I wonder if they are just going to leave it like that. Feel bad for the people that don’t look at the forums.. and then once this page is pushed off the front of the forum page they may not ever find it.

The trading post bug. You cannot search for it to buy it. You have to use your collections tab to actually find the listing. It also shows 0 available to buy but there are a few listed and greyed out. Seems like an easy fix that should be done quickly.

I think the listing is bugged. It says none are for sale when you search but when I try to list it says 2 are for sale.

You can post it and wait and see if someone buys it or if there is a buy offer that you are willing to take you can sell it right out to them. It will go to the highest buy offer automatically you don’t get to chose that part.

The fees are really high for selling a legendary- a sell to the highest buy offer cost me a bit over 70 gold and then you also pay fees after the sell and that will be high as well (I believe it costs 10% total for a sell to a buy order and 15% total if you list it and it sells). If you list it and take it down for whatever reason you do not get the listing fee back so be sure it is a reasonable price.

Yeah I tried to rez at first as well.. just to join them in death. I have to run past now unless a zerg is around. I feel bad about it but no choice. I have also used 2 resurrection stones on this event alone so I would not have to try to race back to where I was.

Also just to add if you die in the dungeon there is no way point inside the dungeon so you get to go through level 3 all over again.. Really?!

There really should be something..just think a few days from now when most people have all their achieves how hard it will be to get through that final event.

So the story is great and I like the idea behind this but there are way to many silver creatures in the tower.
The events cannot be done without a decent size zerg. What is going to happen in the 2nd week when there are still a few people who need achieves but not enough players in the tower to finish the tower?
If you die you have to port all the way to the bottom and it costs 5 silver to get back to the 3rd floor.. why is there only 1 way point? Also, why is there no portal for the top of the tower?
The final door is the one that has been the hardest to have a group ready to beat the event and you have to do it to get to the dungeon and the trichest.
And finally why can you only buy 1 trikey a day with spores?

I use it on my mesmer. Mainly because things have been changed up so much lately that I did not feel like changing my gear any more.

It is soulbound and cannot be moved between characters once equipped.

Really? I like cobolt it is kind of a really bright blue while the other 2 are very purple. That is why I was curious why it was so low. All 3 of those have less than the other new colors available so I think that people like them or maybe they just drop less idk.

I was just looking at these dyes.. all seem to be fairly popular with just a few of each available, yet blacklight and vincent are basically double the price. I was looking at them to try to see why and it looks like when they were being listed those that had blacklight and vincent chose not to significantly undercut each other.. so the price has stayed high- Cobolt, however, when it was very early listed was undercut by 50% by 1 seller and kept a trend for cobolt to stay lower.

I just thought it was interesting how 1 undercut significantly changed the price of the dye even though the popularity seems to be as high as vincent and blacklight.

Anyone else ever see a trade item like this or any stories of 1 undercut changing the market so drastically?

I am all for getting players back with game items but as I stated above I do not think it should be a gem code that can be sold outside the game for real money. Even if it is just a few bucks it still defeats the purpose if all someone does is sell it.

Yeah I did try them.. I agree they almost work- but my husband said it looked weird lol. I am hoping that Wintersday will bring me that 1 outfit that I just want to keep- since I can no longer afford the runes and to craft a armor set to change my outfits around continuously and anet does not seem to be looking to change this. I guess in the end it saves me money but kind of stinks at the same time.

I don’t mind them using something to get people back, but maybe they should have made a booster pack, or something. 400 gems in the form of a code is giving them something they can sell for real money and not even come back. Really bad idea and it looks bad to the people that have not stopped playing.

Wow 250 g I would so sell it lol. You never know if something similar will be available and it will crash.. but at the same time it could very well go up and never be seen again. Wow though, 250g now or maybe 500 in 6 months- I guess it depends on if you want to gamble on it going up and if you could invest that money now to make more than it would be worth in the future.

I am really hoping it is something good. If it is not so great then I guess the turn out for season 2 will be much less. Even if you played casually in wvw before the season to be able to get the key you had to play much more.

As I said in another thread, sold Frostfang for 2,200g (1870g after fees) just yesterday.

I was initially (and still am, somewhat) against legendaries being sellable on the TP but I am glad that I was able to sell Frostfang. I had a change of heart essentially. I wanted another legendary + my ranger needed an ascended axe so I put two and two together – but the skin doesn’t suit my ranger at all and after all that’s pretty much the main point of legendaries. So I sold it, and now I have enough $$$ to make any legendary I want (well, besides Eternity) instead.

I’ll probably think it through a bit better this time

ps. Oh the things I’d do if I could unsoulbind items. I have two legendaries that now get very little use, and a volcanus or two I’d love to replace with Sunrise/Twilight. Man, I wish I could sell my soulbound legendaries!

Mine was also a change of heart. I started making it for my character and decided against it.

I hate it as well. I think maybe they could put a trait in that changes it or something.
