The only thing I am worried about with it – I love changing my look and I keep my armors so I can change them from time to time and have a bank full of them. If this is time gated and expensive it will be near impossible for me to switch between looks without either loosing 1 of my skins or using the transmutation splitters from the store which is going to be way too expensive over time.

I hope I am not just over looking this. I checked a few times. I do not see a weapon master for the spear. Every other weapon seems to be listed.

Do you have sparkles showing on the light shoulders? When I preview them- especially with dark dyes- you can see flashes around them. I am interested to see if these have effects with them.

I was selling them. Decided that I liked the warrior that I am leveling so much that I would open every dye she got- only when I am playing her and only if she loots it. So far it has worked out well. I still sell them on every other character though.

Agreed. I loved the longer styles but the forehead kept me from using a hair kit on my sylvaris.

What is the timer now on this?

You should get back:
- the item that gave the current appearance
- the item that gave the current stats
- the current rune

if so it doesn t work

Instead of a berserker fractal GS i got a pearl GS and a twilight

item that gave current apperance = twilight

item that gave current stats = pearl gs

Fractal gs is the item that doesn’t give stats so unless it is the skin currently used by the item, you won’t get it back.

so… If I wanted to recover a SAB skin for example (in order to reuse on another weapon), the transmutation splitter isn’t the right technique since the SAB skin is the item that doesn’t give stats?

I am not sure but my husband lost a Halloween scythe skin between this and a transmutation crystal so I would be leery of the skin. Seems like you should get it back though.

If you mean the kind of bug where your character isn’t even visible (either with or without your weapon floating in air), you’ll just need to wait a little longer for the game to catch up; that happens to me on a few LA points at times anyway. For some reason the loading screen goes away before it’s actually loaded or processed everything every now and then. (While this happens, you can actually move if you look at the minimap, it’s just that the camera refuses to budge until the character is fully loaded.)

If you mean the kind of bug where you get stuck in a sort of falling animation instead, haven’t had that ever in LA but a few times on other maps, and that’s particularly annoying indeed.

No none of those. I see my character as long as there are not a lot of others by me. Not stuck in any kind of animation just standing there. I have waited to see if I could move, but it never seems to fix. I have to wp to be able to move.

Edit to add- I have tried to wp to it again when I am stuck to try to reset it but that does not fix it. It has to be a new wp.

This is the waypoint in Lion’s Arch by the mystic forge. There are times when I will port there and cannot move at all. I have no choice but to use another waypoint in Lion’s Arch.

I cannot get on my home server during prime time. I am tired of the attitudes in overflow so I am fairly certain prime time is out for me at least until something new comes along to draw some people away.

I am trying to find a server that is active in the early mornings. I went on my home server and I was the only one there. Is there any server that actively tries to defeat tequatal in the early morning. If not maybe we can come up with one as a group and guest there?

I was fortunate enough to get my home server 1 time early on and defeat tequatal but I would like to be able to complete this once a day. Overflows have become poison. I do not mind being on an overflow but the people have become so negative and mean to each other I just really do not find it fun at all. I was very optimistic for overflows at the beginning and they would learn as time went by.. but unfortunately the attitudes have doomed them.

So anyway- Any server that does this in the morning or anyone interested in getting a group of early NA players to guest on the same server?

Right. He got the sythe skin Halloween- lucky out of a box. He had been using the weapon skin already on an exotic. After he completed crafting the ascended item he took the transmutation crystal (sorry about that). The scythe skin did not override the ascended skin. So he then tried to use a transmutation splitter but it only gave back the ascended staff and his sigil. The scythe skin (and the exotic it was on) completely disappeared!

I told him to open a ticket, which he did, and all we got was a generic response that they cannot restore items. This is an item lost from a defective gem store item though- a mistake from a bug. I would hope that customer service would at least take the time to look at his account to see if it was an issue on their end before giving a copy/paste response

At the price blues and greens are now it would take 3-4 gold to throw them in the forge. So unless the blue or green you want is over 4 gold then it is a waste to throw them in the forge and hope you get the one you want.

The groups fill really fast too though.. so that could be part of it idk. I have started my own groups a few times and they are filled within a few minutes. But it would be a good idea to send out an in game mail because I am sure there are many who are not aware of it yet.

Depends if you want to use cultural armors imo. I personally do not like sylvaris in almost anything but cultural armors.. it looks weird to me.

My husband recently made the ascended staff. Not liking the skin and having the Halloween scythe he used a transmutation stone to change the look. The ascended staff “ate” the scythe skin. He tried using a transmutation splitter and all he got back was the ascended staff and the sigil. He opened a support ticket and all they said was that they could not give back items. Now to me- this is a lost skin from a gem store item that did not work as stated. I would hope that someone could look at his account and see that a bug in the game caused him to lose an item.

Is there anyone to have someone actually look at what happened to his scythe skin?It disappeared with the transmutation stone use and the transmutation splitter is not giving 2 items back! The product he paid for did not work and cost him an item and all we got back was a generic support ticket answer.

I have used it a few times and really like it. I am worried though since last night there were almost no groups for dungeons. I started my own for CM and ended up with 3 under 80 characters (40-50 range). Not 1 person in the group had run it. At first I was scared that this would be my first group to not complete it but I stuck with it. It took maybe 30 mins longer than usual but you know we finished it and everyone was happy. Over all very happy with the tool and sad to see there are not groups forming constantly through it or that people are kicking those that do try to use it. It could end up you just discourage them from ever trying again

Is it blood? I only saw the video and it looked black. I was not sure what it was doing honestly.

Yeah it was really bad thinking. I think honestly it may just be too soon for them to try to put out new animations. I have no desire to throw out 10 bucks and then have a useless molten pick sitting in my bank. Maybe if they were further apart and I wanted something new.. but I have only had the pick for a few months.
Maybe they can offer us something cheaper to change the animation? Idk but the cost to just change animation from molten if you have one to bone is too high imo.

I don’t see how you can match up well with these dyes, unless you go with SAB tribw1 weapons or you run a necro or any other class with dark emo weapons.

They are actually pretty fun. I included my Halloween look (Algae) and a look I am thinking for acrid.. Still not sure on the gear but planning my Wintersday look :P

Personally I love algae.. It is like a bright neon- using it for my Halloween look :P I have 1 character I have collected all the dyes on so I got them all.. some are actually very cool even though they are all green lol. Acrid is the lowest priced one but to me it is a very cool color as well. I am going to play around with it and gold tones after Halloween.

They are all green. A couple are pretty bright- like a neon glow I guess.

I think that the blue quality ones may stay kind of high.. just my thinking. You can get them from the forge still after the set is gone, however, blue quality would be very expensive to try for just another blue. I also think that people that had the minis would have already sold them and the ones that are still in banks (outside of speculations) would probably want to keep them. Only time will tell. I think it should be interesting. I personally was too scared to really invest in them but I think that it would have been a safe bet over all.

Happy Monday- Still curious if I should wait for this to be corrected to include karma or if it is just a tool tip error on the before use booster. Would love an answer as I have others to use but won’t until I know for sure!

Exactly what fishball said. Minis from pack 1 are discontinued people are buying them. They are gone from the gem store oct 15th until special promotions come along.

Twilight zone :P It is your settings they are on low. You can change it cannot remember the exact name of it though.

I think maybe people like you should not use the lfg option but stick to a friends list. Then you would not have noobs joining your run and slowing you down 10 mins on your record time to loot!

With difficulty selection, there would be no need for an elite guild to do it. PEole would just be able to decrease the difficulty all the way down to 1 (Let’s say the current one is 40)

In exchange, there would be less juicy drops, but at least they’ll get to do it and experience the battle. And they would be able to train and gain experience and try harder levels over time.

That is a very naive way to think of this. I can tell you what would happen- The guild that could not kill him on harder levels would lose their members to guilds that could kill him because the players want the better loot and they don’t want to be stuck getting bad loot because of other players. So it would not be experiencing the fight.. it would be looking for the top guilds that can beat it on the highest difficulty for the most loot.

This could be done for all world bosses.

Somewhere near each of there there could be a flag post.

And a guild member with the guild mission permission coud use it, spending merits and influence to pay for the instance.

Then guild members could enter, and when they have everyone they want in, they talk to some NPC to start.

Then players would be able to choose between the world version with less pressure, and the guild version with less leeway for mistakes and a higher chance of better rewards.

There could even be a level selector like with fractals, so the guild can increase the ‘reward level’ along the difficulty for better chances of a nice drop.

If that happens hope you are prepared to apply for your elite guild to get to do the content.. until they get bored or fall apart because of drama and then you can apply for a new guild! Wee!

This right here.. this is what is trying to be avoided in gw2. No tanks no heals you can be any class- and still people have it in their heads they need specific group comps to save 5-10 min.. and now you want to bring it into open world pve.

I am sorry but I think all of you who think this fight is just too hard with all these “randoms” need to calm down and see where it is in a few weeks. Your elitist attitude on how horrible the rest of the players are is crazy! I run dungeons with people all the time and never have any issues and laugh when I see text asking for certain things.

To me this game was based on inclusion. You can all kill something and all get the xp. You can all harvest the same nodes. And yet we still have people coming here wanting to kick people because they are “not good enough” Really? Wrong game for you guys in all honesty.

Anything else we can do with these other than make 1 mini?

You can’t win this encounter without treating it like some sort of raid content.
Thus it should have implemented as a raid content from the beginning.

Considering most servers and overflows are starting to get the hang of it and beating it- or at least putting more of a dent in the hp it can be won. It takes time to learn and it is taking time for people to do that.

If you want raids with a guild you may need a different game. Those that are asking for this in gw2 are a small minority and if they decide to change things and go this route it would be overall bad for the game and the players that chose it for the open world content.

Highly doubt it will die out. Even the bosses in other areas are killed multiple times a day. As long as it is open and gives a daily reward it will be killed.

I think that it will calm down overflow will not be as big of deal, mechanics are still being learned. I know some are against having to use teamspeak but most servers already had this because of wvw so it is not a huge deal imo, but maybe anet could look at adding some kind of voice command if more of these fights are planned. I did not have to change my traits, I did use different weapons, but I do that all the time for most things anyways- part of the game imo.

The thing is the new tequatl for a lot of servers is just a problem. Problems that people are experiencing with him right now:
1. AFKers
2. Trolls on turrets
3. Not having enough people out of randoms
4. not being able to get to their home server

No idea not my job- but I do know that open world is what anet wants and it is what many people came to this game for. If they go instancing “raids” then it is just like every other game out there. Cookie cutter specs, applying to raiding guilds, elitism, ect- really nothing positive imo.

I think overflows will settle down and you will get on your home server more often, More people will learn the mechanics as it goes along and I think all the servers- even overflows will get it. Personally turrets are the only thing that really need to be addressed as they are so crucial to the fight that you really need people who want to kill teq and know what they are doing on them.

You have a choice on games to do raid content with closed groups of guilds. If you really do not like open world content try one of those games. This game is based on open world and not excluding people- for the most part. Some players have decided to go that route on their own unfortunately.

Except that you’re excluded already. In order to do this content, you have to a) be in the right place at the right time (the time that other guilds are organizing the raid on him in a not overflow server) and you already have to show up with the right food and potions (potion of undead slaying, orrian steak frittes), with the right gear (power, toughness, vitality on my server, because crits do nothing on him and conditions cap fast), with the right character and with the right level. Oh and you have to be on TS as well or people will hate you.
Or you can do this content on an overflow, with no organized guilds and fail it EVERY time.
The only difference that instancing would make is it would get rid of trolls and AFKers.

Still curious which is wrong the tool tip on the boost or the use of the boost. I have 4 more and would like to know if I should wait for a bug to be fixed.

Tested xp and wxp those do in fact seem to be increased. So basically is karma suppose to be increased by the booster or not? The icon before use says yes item after use does not include karma. I would like to think that karma should be included and was an oversight and a bug that it is not being increased by the booster.

A definite answer would be appreciated.

Had to wait for the event to happen again and did it on a character (also a level 80) with no birthday booster- (used the same karma food on her) Same karma rewards. Actually same everything not sure what gain the birthday booster is providing at this point.

I used a birthday booster today and it is not giving the 100% karma gain stated in the description. Also it is not saying anything about karma once you use it. I have included screenshots. I also had karma food on that I forgot to change when I took the screen but you can still see that it is not 100% gain to karma added. I am also not sure about the xp as sometimes I do not see a bonus xp on my screen after killing something.

Could be the whole token is bugged – I am not sure on the gains from the other things I just noticed karma right away.
