I put points on this and it says that it will cause confusion to enemies that enter and exit glamor areas. I went to the mists to try it out and I put Null field around a test dummy. It did not get any confusion. So then I tried Feedback around it and it still did not get confusion.

Is this a bug or am I missing something to make it work?

Hmm… well I do like moving, I had been using the sword/pistol, with the greatsword for pve and then I went greatsword sword/focus for wvw.

Does a staff work ok for wvw? That seems to be the area that I just cannot seem to damage people with the staff other than a chaos storm placed over a group of people, and even then I am not sure if I should be saving that to put on allies for buffs instead.

I am trying to decide which weapon works better. I really like the greatsword and feel like my damage is faster. The staff is fun as well but I feel like it is slower damage. I don’t feel like they work well together though or do they once I start putting points in?

I have always gotten a common blue as well. I find it odd that coriander is so rare though, you would think the truffle would be the high end ingredient since it is a higher level to get it.

Do you use it for anything? Or does veil do the same job?

Working on leveling a Mesmer and I almost have enough points for this but I am not sure it is worth getting since I have veil.

Veil seems to be a better choice because it gives me a combo field as well.

Is this worth me getting with 30 points right now I have other skills I have not opened yet so i was thinking it may be better to get them instead.

Yep largest group I got for lvl 1 fractals was 3 people that is asking guilds, friends list, map chat, gw2lfg.com- Gave up and just ran a normal dungeon and found a full group. I don’t have time to try for over an hour to find a group and then spend an hour or more in a dungeon.

Everyone always says use gw2lfg— sorry that does not help with level 1 fractals— I just gave up on fractals myself still at level 1. It is impossible to find a group and just think here in a month what it will be like!

My only hope is that they take it out of the monthly because I could use that karma and this has been 2 months I didn’t get the monthly from fractals

I have enjoyed Stormbluff isle I have been there since headstart- It has fun wvw and has not been elitist. Also it is pretty populous for pve things.

I got map completion but I am not sure if my star shows on all my characters or just the one I completed.

Wintergreen does a bit and also midnight ice and fire seem to on my armor.

I placed bids on a few things and they disappeared from my items I am buying list and they are now on the items I bought list— but they never became available for pick up.

Is this just a delay that I have never experienced or is my money gone?

Well i am going to try again tonight but as stated a few times I did post on gw2lfg.com and had no responses. There are not many looking for level 1 there either.

Worse comes to worse I can’t get the monthly this month.. but please please please do not make this an every month achievement

It is not the time requirement on the achievement— it is the grouping. I am level 1 I have tried- and will continue to try to get a group- but there are not many people that are level 1. In fact it was stated that even guilds are hard to find groups within themselves because no one wants to back track because they will get left behind.

So what about the new players if this stays on the monthly? Will they be able to find groups in a month for level 1 fractals? It is just going to get harder and harder to start the ladder for fotm. People are not backtracking they want to progress and the people that are level 1 have a hard time catching up so the monthly that should be something to do- becomes impossible to reach. That is all I am saying.

It could take hours to complete- I am fine with that just the grouping has major issues with all the different levels- to have this on the monthly just seems wrong.

I mentioned with my first post and reply that I used it to try to find a group. Got no responses from the website.

My point was not that it was grindy- it was that it is hard to find a beginning group— lvl 1— for this dungeon. I tried to find a group I used map chat and I used gw2lfg.com. I could not find a group for level 1 fractals- which is where I am because I was out of town while everyone flew through to higher levels. The lowest I have seen is level 3. So I am hopeful if I can get 1 group then maybe it will be easier the next time since I will be a higher level but as it stands for right now getting a group for FOTM LVl 1 is very very difficult.

Also at least for wvw I can join that and work on kills. As it is right now I cannot even attempt FOTM. I will try through out the month but being so behind the curve sucks.

All I am saying is that a dungeon that is already showing problems for even higher level people to find groups should not be on every monthly imo. If I could get a group I would do it. I am not saying I am refusing to do Fotm- I am saying it is hard to find people at level 1 to even attempt it and it has been on the monthly for 2 months now.

I was out of town when this dungeon released- over 10 days to be exact- so finding a group for level 1 at this point is pretty hard. I just did not even go for the monthly last month because I knew it was pointless. Well I was disappointed to see it on the list again— So I am trying to get a group but how often do you see a lfg for lvl 1? Never, I post in map chat tonight and nothing-I am on gw2lfg so we will see but not hopefull-

So again another month of not getting the monthly because of FOTM- Please there are issues with grouping for this do not make it a requirement for the monthly in the future!

I just did wvw jumping puzzles for the first time and met someone that mentioned doing it on all my characters. So I did 1 puzzle on a level 16 that I have and the loot was that about level 16 — Anyway my question is can a level 16 character open the jumping puzzle chests and still have a chance at a precurser drop or only level 80s?

That may have been it. I created her the first day of headstart and she never glowed.. It was just weird that there was no glow showing during the customization even with it on high, white and the lights dimmed. Oh well she glows now =)

she glows now that I finished the customization… but she did not have a glow until then or throughout the customization with the lights off

I thought that maybe I just created her with a color that did not show in game so I purchased the total make over. I still have no glow. I have tried everything with the makeover kit to try and get some kind of glow on her. Even the mushroom hair that has the under glow with white set as the color shows nothing. Is there anything I can do to make her glow?

I have a second sylvari that does glow but for some reason 1 does not.

I was under the impression that the color your server was rotated every week with the new match up. I am the same color this week though. Does it not rotate weekly to give the servers all different sections of the map?

I personally just love the look of the bow even without the effects.. If the precursor looked like that but no flowers dripping from my feet I would be happy to have just that =) I think it just depends on you and what you want from it.

Just chiming in as well in agreement on how hard it is to find story groups—I just started doing dungeons these past 2 weeks and finding story mode dungeons is next to impossible. I am worried that once I have a new character progress through their story to fighting Zhaitan I will not be able to complete it because no one wants to do story Arah. I would like to see the stories in the dungeons I have not done but at this point I am not sure that is possible.. which is crazy considering the game is only a few months old!

I worry that better loot may not help the story dungeons though but hopefully a better group finder is in place by the time I need to do Arah story again.. just hopeful now I can see the last few story mode dungeons at least.

Tried to use gems through the gem store and did not receive items. I opened a support ticket and they asked for my serial code and last 4 of my cc? Not sure what that has to do with buying things with gems. Would still like to see about the items that were not delivered though

I pugged CM and AC for the first time story mode and yes it was hard to find a group. We ended up 4 manning CM and then had a full 5 for AC.. I would not say it is hard to find a group because the content hard though. I think it is more lack of interest. We finished both of these just fine and were all strangers to each other outside my husband and I.

Oh I can run from ore to ore and point to point ect.. but if I want to look around at something I am in constant combat. Other areas I could “stop and smell the roses”.

I have really enjoyed this game and the leveling experience up until this point. I just got to Malachor Leap and Cursed shore area. I cannot go 2 steps without entering combat. It is really unfun – I would say I honestly hate these areas. I have explored every area up to completion until I entered here. I can’t explore it like other areas and in fact it seems discouraged to do anything but run for your life to the next way point, poi, or vista, grab it and go. Otherwise it takes you 30 mins of killing irrelevant risen that respawn at a very fast rate… it is not even worth killing them to get to an area because they return within a minute.

Take the maze for instance in cursed shore.. cleared it out got to what looked like a jumping puzzle only to be killed by a group champion boss. Ok I thought I will just try to avoid him and jump up real fast.. everything I had killed was back— I decided the puzzle was not even worth it to clear out again because it was not fun.

I understand that Orr is suppose to be taken over by the risen, but really why put your money and resources into people designing areas that people will not go to because it is overwhelming to get to because of the constant and unrelenting combat?

Please take into consideration when creating your new areas for us that being in combat constantly takes away for the idea of wanting to explore an area.. in fact once I run, and I literally mean run, through these areas for completion I have no desire to return.

I don’t think you would be sniping from 900 range lol. I just think that it seems like a talent that was meant to make traps viable for ranged players yet it is too short for the ranged weapons to use comfortably imo.

Well even the shortbow and axe you are having to move in- shortbow is 1200 and axe is 900. So it is only good for the Greatsword and sword as far as not having to move in to use them- but then if you are already in melee range do you really need the talent for them to be ground targeted? You are basically already there.
