How does power necro fair against condi necro since the patch. Also isn’t a balanced power/condi be just as valid since Necro skills usually do condition and straight dps?

I respect you coming up with ideas and trying to think outside of the box in making WvW more than just a mindless zergball. I hope you don’t get the idea that I was simply trying to shoot everything down without reading, but give my personal constructive feedback to your ideas.

I have only respect for your reply.

I know a fortification can be easily taken in under five minutes but the crossed swords appearing shoudnt be necessary if players are in in attendance and shout on chat. The idea for a much longer (maybe not 5 minutes) timer before crossed swords appear is to make it harder for zergs to move off and leave a fortification completely empty without a small mob coming from behind and pushing through the gate before the big mob comes back. Keeping scouts and defenders will be all that more important and this means that big zergs may split up a little and also stop being so meaningful.

As for siege weapons big WvW guilds can drop them like wrappers from a bag of sweets. They need to be less easy to place and use at the best rank and quality of siege but more meaningful when time is taken to perfect them and use them.

As for the death penalty it should be time limited and effective in the way that a mob cant eventually win a fight just by keeping returning to it. Its not about punishing a loser its about a mob using skill and knowledge to make a good call whether a particular fight is worth it or to ask and wait for reinforcements or take their battle elsewhere.

During the 5 minute hospital penalty I would say you can still repair, sell and buy and maybe even travel to a fight but you cant actually fight until that timer is up but you can die again.

There are often big queues at peak times for WvW so Im sure there are plenty players who will like a more strategic, tactical game There is no reason I can see why sPvP cant allow for large team, guild, server death matches, capture the flags and control points and everyone is then happy.

Are you on a server with many or few WvW? You do seem a little frustrated or want to punish certain players.

WvW would interest me less with you’re changes as it would be much slower. Also it would be more complicated. Not that I couldn’t adjust or play then, but it wouldn’t be the kind of game I want to play when I get home from work or study.

Its not about punishment. As I said right now the way it is played could be played without fortifications and just control points that are flags stuck in the ground. I understand some players want to play WvW like a team death match but thats not supposed to be what WvW is. For that you can play sPvP and if the teams in sPvP are not big enough then that’s what you should ask for to be changed then I think then we can all be happy.

In zerg fights, conditions last very shortly because everyone is usually using -40% condi duration food. This is why in large fights it is rare for someone to spec into conditions.
Survival is faar more important in big fights, so that’s why people prefer using -40% condi food that other foods, even players with a class that can put a lot of AoE conditions.
This results in condition ticking for 1-2s at best if they are not cleansed first.
IF they removed (or nerfed) these foods, I believe build diversity would be promoted:
you would not be forced to eat +condi duration food if you are a condi based class;
you would not be forced to eat -condi duration food if you don’t have many cleanses at your disposal;

I play all classes, some of them with a condi spec, and man it’s not even fun to fight against someone who does not use -condi duration food if I have the +condi duration food on me.

I run my warrior with melandru…plus -40 condi duration food…plus remove condi’s on adrenaline use, plus the cripple immobilize reduction….combined with healing signet and stances….good luck keeping condi’s on a warrior in a group…lol

Doesn’t using many skills and or traits that are designed or part designed for combating conditions mean you are sacrificing skills and traits that make your dps better.

You don’t even need these foods in www. Conditions doesn’t tic more than couple sec anyways.

WUT

I’m sure he is referencing the fact that in zerg battles, the condition clears are pretty constant and most conditions, besides immobilize, are cleared before they do significant damage.

This is not the case while roaming where the condition meta is still dominant, and seems to only be getting stronger as time passes on.

If folks are saying conditions are not effective in a zerg i think it hasnt be studied properly as many condition makers like guardians can near constantly reapply conditions as quickly as they are taken off. In a zerg battle the condition mentality must not be duration but speed of reapplication.

Truly running around like madmen in a blob capping a control point then zerging to another whilst the last control point is taken again is really just a joke. Whats the point of keeps and towers surrounded by walls and gates if peeps can just take them down with ease. It may as well just be a flag in a circle you capture.

Being able to die and just run back and back and back is also a joke. This is not pve and it isn’t spvp but it needs to be tougher than it is. Death needs to be a major factor in the game play here to stop it being near meaningless.

So whats the answer? Heres my idea..

SIEGE DEVICES

Devices must be crafted now.

One way is by the mystic forge in that device blueprints are now part of a recipe only for making devices in the mystic forge and do not fall anymore in loot from enemies. Maybe a keep or tower has a chest which contains a few of these blueprints so this could be a way of rewarding a good takeover.

OR

The above idea except an expensive crafting skill for siege weapons is created and crafting them is done in a players garrison or keep whilst they own it instead of the forge. As above crafting will still be very costly.

PLUS

The mastery skill for using siege items also needs to be much more expensive and the item must be useless without a rank in it and needs three ranks to be effective as it is for one rank right now.

WALLS

These must be unaffected by hand weapons including grenades.

GATES

Should still be easily affected by hand weapons.

SIEGE DAMAGE ON PLAYERS

This needs increased so increased so a gate that can be easily taken down can still be an effective choke point for those who control the castle. Also it allows a lesser amount of players necessary to hold a keep or tower and even if a horde takes it they sustain a lot more damage in doing so.

DEATH

This needs to cost and not by paying money to use a waypoint as too many rich folks have plenty gold to ignore this. There needs to be a debilitation to skills that increases by the amount of time a person dies (not downed). Also when when a person dies they have to use a waypoint and they must be out the game for five minutes. Call this hospital time.

ALARMS
Crossed swords should only appear after 5 minutes of battle so that having people defending towers, keeps, camps, and communicating is all that more important.

CONCLUSION

This is to make players think more in battle so that good communications is important and strategy and tactics are bit more complicated in choosing where and when to fight and when a fortification is taken it requires more time, thought and resources to retake.

It may just be an opinion but right now WvW is a joke and needs changes.

Ah but Escadin this isnt quite the traditional MMO. Its not static quests and quests dont always have the same fast frequency of respawning. If a world is far too big riding everywhere will be boring but I didn’t say get rid of WPS altogether. A balance would need to be struck. Like I said it is to encourage more land travel and perhaps it would even discourage some of the insane mob trains if instant way pointing couldn’t always be done.

The only way I would accept mounts being added is if all mounts no matter how they areacquired have the same speed boost and there is one that all players start with or can be bought for under 1 silver. Something low enough that a new player isn’t going to be stopped from getting or would be too high for most players to help a person but if for some reason the copper was hard to come by or was needed for something else.

Expensive account bound mounts that are cosmetic only I would not have a problem with.

#Yes all mounts should have the same max speed and there should be a cheap version. Even more a mount shouldn’t be available until either level 80 or until one character on the account has done world completion on foot or both. Its not needed so much for levelling but I find at level 80 many people begin to waypoint everywhere because its the only fast travel option and all that does is discourage travel overland through this beautiful world Anet made and running across events sometimes in places many folks may not go otherwise where events have low participation.

OK Im not going to pull punches but people that don’t want mounts in this game either just don’t like mounts in MMOs or have vision so short metaphorically they need glasses as thick as pint tumblers.

Anet introduce a huge beatuiful world, a world where exploration is a big deal, a world that is event oriented, many which are timed, random, chained and are group events, rather than boring old static stuff, so the world is not constantly exactly the same when you wander through it.

AND WHAT DO THEY DO? EH?

Introduce WP everywhere, instant teleportation, discouraging people to go through it to get to where they are going and have the chance to run across events and instead make limited speed buffs for characters. OK to encourage exploration on foot and keep world completion a challenge don’t allow mounts to be unlocked on an account until one character has been round the block or until level 80 or both but man to help make Tyria a living world lets encourage people to travel through it and not teleport everywhere.

And for people who like choices to teleport everywhere cheaply and instantly rather than travel, well I would like given full ascended gear free but I am not getting that. Teleport should be a privilege not on gold cost but on play. I suggest the more we travel by overland and by mount the more coupons we earn to make teleports encouraging us players to populate a wider area of the world as we travel and saving way pointing only for special events.

Let the flames begin to lap at my legs as I put myself on a stake to be burned. Metaphorically of course.

I know there are plenty of these kind of threads but whats the point of forums if not for comments. Anyway for the first time ever Im so bored with an MMO I have invested so much time with and Im not upset. I used to get frustrated feeling let down so not now.

I am analysing why and it can only be no aspects of the game atract me anymore. I was hoping for a living STORY and not just two hard boss fights after 4 weeks of a long played out winter event. Maybe Edge of the Mists will pull me in. But there just seems too much a grind for nice things even if they arent necessary. I mean whats needed for one legendary weapon when i have 5 characters with multiple weapon sets each. I have not and wont do the grind for one. Its insane in my opinion.

WvW seems to depend on server and a tug of war, where zergs rule. Im sure Ill log in still but if I were to mark your report card I would write “must try harder”.

I just realised I didn’t specify I don’t want to do all achievements but just reach the meta. The meta is what I believe is the story completion so I meant to point out I want the chance to achieve a meta balanced. I would balance it on those times only two LS were crossing over so that if three or four events are running in the same time scale the amount of achievements to complete three or four would be the same as for two crossing over. Anet themselves need to actually do the maths to be more exact.

Anet seem to have an idea of balance when they provide various achievements such as those that are almost instant for just talking to an NPC, to challenges such as complete jumping puzzle not all will be able to do, to gain a certain amount of kills achievements, to achievement by doing daily.

I would say when they just had a new LS every two weeks and lasting a month it was fine, but when they add WvWvW S2 or another story or a festival along side they need to make the achievements towards each meta for for all concurrent events the same as for the usual two crossing over events.

For the people with lots of time on their hands who want the challenge of long and hard events add as many achievements as you want but make sure the contribution towards the metas whether over three concurrent events or the normal Living Story set up is the same.

If I cant feel part of the Living World by meeting the completion of most events I probably wont stay on. This is not a threat. Its a fact. I’m also sure of some people feel its too easy they may not want to stay on. Its up to you Anet to balance this all well not to chase away either casual or semi hardcore and above.

Its all about balance and moderation. Thats all folks.

I’m not ignoring that lordkrall. Whether they all started the same time or not the frequency and grind went up and some players like to play more than one element of GW2 including me. So my argument remains the same. In the end its all about the size of grind and whether its one LS with 20 achievements or 3 with 40 achievements its all about the amount of achievements and the challenge of each achievement as watching a cinematic and talking to an NPC is much different from killing 60 champions.

SAB 2 was about challenge and to increase the challenge it wasn’t the type of puzzle that changed so skills learned from playing Manic Miner or Frogger or Sonic were not going to make much difference after you made it through SAB1. The sequel was more about the timing and accuracy with keyboard and mouse and so nothing to do with basic mechanics and all to do with dexterity, observance, reflex and possibly affected by various types of lag

Basically Anet please consider the amount of achievement grind and difficulty of content when releasing living stories that crossover or run concurrently. I’m thinking especially in regards to the up coming Scarlet conclusion.

Its just a turn off when you run two or three living stories with many achievements that are challenging or just a long grind so that busy people have to choose what time limited living story event they can be involved in and what they will miss out on.

Last year I missed out because at one point there were 4 living stories on the go at once including WvW season 1 and I missed out on completing the second part of the Nightmare Tree, Fractured Fortnight and WvW1 and the rewards that go with them.

The fact you have given us nothing over 4 weeks since the Wintersday events began suggests to me you obviously are not being pushed into such a tight Living Story schedule. By what I have read in the forums there are many also with my concern.

I have capped four characters (which really is not much)and quite enjoyed it but only on my fifth character have I slowed down to a snail pace.

Here are my top tips on leveling alts with fun (if you are not an altoholic):

  1. Instead of trying to do everything such as full exploration, every zone, quest or event, dungeons, fractals and WvWvW with a character spread activity between the characters. Over time there is repetition of pve zones all the same.
  2. Have one character of each race and a different profession so different skill sets. Try to have various types of roles for each such as ranged combat, melee dodge, melee tank, pet builds, support build, aoe or single focus combat.
  3. Use Living Story and festival events where possible to level characters so they get more variety.
  4. Use crafting to help you level with different disciplines for each toon
  5. Imagine you are actually building a legendary party with each of your characters giving them each a personality and role

What do we want from the Living Story

in Living World

Posted by: joneb.5679

joneb.5679

I’m interested in seeing a dev reply to my original post as when I read it back at first it seems what I’m asking for is what they are giving already but in fact I think its what Anet have intended to give us but have mostly failed. To expand on what I want to see and make it clear where Anet have failed to achieve that in my opinion I have made this post.

One big failure was crossing over too many Living Stories at once when at one point there were three to four running simultaneously and it was all a a race really to accumulate achievements so any story was lost in all of this. Now over Christmas and New year there is nothing new for 4 weeks. Madness of one extreme to another.

Another failure is difficulty of areas alongside a vary lackluster environment. I’m thinking Southsun which is mostly a load of Karkas if you know what I mean. It needs to be either more interesting with another element of culture on top of the Karka stuff or it needs to be easier. Hard and boring translates to leave it alone.

The Scarlet story as a story was a nice attempt with the various chapters but it was too much of one big boss with an annoying manner and plot development that didn’t quite gel with the culture of the world with various alliances that didn’t seem believable enough. Did Scarlet have some sort of overbearing magical influence to make various rogue elements like the Molten Alliance and Flame Legion work together as well as the other alliances formed under her or how did she actually persuade such disparate groups to work together for her greater evil purpose. Its still a mystery to me and until I can understand it or find it believable it seems just like a badly thought out plot point.

Apart from this the way that the Living Story is just mostly loosely held together with a few quests or encounters that the are expanded into an achievement grind over and over means that its all very unsubstantial content.

I use forums to give my opinions but I mostly avoid discussing over
them due to those less than polite individuals out there and their offensive attitude.

What do we want from the Living Story

in Living World

Posted by: joneb.5679

joneb.5679

For me I want to see..

  1. A substantial plot line with quests and conflicts that help evolve the story instead of just a large set of achievements to grind on repetitive game play like kill so many champions.
  2. With nearly every Living Story a significant change to the culture and quests of the area as well as landscape. With the Nightmare Tree the dev teams missed a chance to make some centaurs become friendly with the adventuring races and even allow for some fragile peace between these factions during and even after the Nightmare Tree.
  3. More new permanent terrain including new cultures with interesting associated story lines opening up over time with original and permanent quests, dynamic events and dungeons at various levels so that leveling an alt can have some discovery again and so there is more stuff to do with guilds at our own pace since we can always go back to lower level areas and scale down.
  4. Instead of large Living Story lines that continue fortnightly directly from the last with a big boss constantly reappearing, have quite a few story lines spaced out through the year that have episodes that pop up through out the year occasionally rather than frequently.

I’m making this short and concise. Towards the end of 2013 there were at one point four Living Stories, including WvWvW Season 1, some with many achievements crossing over and running simultaneously. People complained and rightly so as this was overload. It annoyed me and I didnt complete the second part of the Nightmare Tower, Fractured or WvWvW S1.

Suddenly from one extreme to another we now have nothing for nearly 4 weeks as the last part of the Nightmare story was much easier in my opinion and the Wintersday stuff is just a festivity filler with barely any challenge. I’m a casual and probably average player and my RL schedule hasn’t changed much and I managed it with ease very quickly.

I don’t get a holiday at this time of year, its work as normal for me but I do think hard working people do deserve a holiday but four weeks.? Don’t give me the blowing hot then cold argument. There is one thing many people are most consistent in and that’s the inability to moderate or balance and in this case its the prime example of too much leading to complaints and now too little! Why was so much Living Story pushed out at one time though and then little to nothing substantial for so long? Thats just poor management in my opinion.

Just wondering… The latest new map a Tower Nightmares was abandoned few days after its release. So I just wonder why so many people want new maps? I would rather like to see an update that fixes the issue with deserted maps…

The Tower of Nightmares was not a normal world zone. It was a particularly challenging pve map with powerful monsters every few yards designed for group play even if it was in a zerg train. It was very difficult to solo and when the zerg train stopped it was too difficult for many trying to solo or run in small pugs. Too time consuming for me anyway to grind away at it.

The frustration for me is seeing a large world map much of which hasn’t
expanded permanently in over a year with a substantial story and original culture except for the challenging Southsun. I would rather have a substantial mid level area to level an alt.

I would happily pay £10 a month to be on equal terms with people with more money than me. £10 a month in the gem store is worth nothing much at all. Turbine used to have some great sales in their store in DDO, they used to give store credit with their subscription which paid for a lot more in their game and ofcourse there was all the other benefits of a sub.

I have observed, experienced and learned much in my time about people and they more than anything want to feel free to do whatever they want and will happily accept the illusion of such benefits as well as the illusion that there is real freedom. In this case free to play has become the choice of payment model for many, because some people believe they are better off and sure enough anyone who doesn’t care about the benefits of buying anything from the store will be better off but there are so many I’m sure spending much cash in the game for benefits that I have seen offered for less with a subscription model.

My problem is I am casual and casual players rightly or wrongly seem to be a much lesser priority as the greatest reward in game comes from achievement grind. Still most if not all MMOs reward time spent and not gameplay itself.

Unless we can see the important stats we cant surmise if there would be loss or gain on profits if prices were cheaper. In regards to real life versus virtual life. Time is as valuable to me as money and I am not able or willing to spend so much of it on any virtual game. I have put plenty hours in but I am not a farmer, grinder or such so I have not amassed even in my in my time enough gold to be converting it all to gems. Again this is a virtual world and its not healthy to be spending so much time in it when real life is so busy too. I expect many arguments against me but I also expect there are many people out there with much more money or time on their hands who are unable to sympathise with the less privileged.

The unnecessary cost of the gemstore

Right now since I initially bought the game I have hardly paid into it. The reason is everything is so expensive to a person in my position. Now I’m a working man and I’m struggling financially but in the current UK economy, and a lot of the world economy, finances are not so good for many like me. Now since real life is so expensive there is no way I will invest large amounts of my hard earned cash into a virtual economy.

Lets put it this way I can have a few takeaway meals, go to the cinema, eat well for a month, or buy virtual goods that can help me enjoy my game. These virtual good aren’t necessary as I have proven as I play without them but some things like extra bag space, collectibles space, bank space would be nice as would some nice aesthetic things. Now if prices were more respectable I would buy and feel much more satisfied with my game. Right now your more privileged customers may be quite happy but how many players are so privileged and how many are in my position.

Who cares about me. I don’t expect any strangers to do so in a world of selfishness and greed but Anet how much greater would your sales be, your customer satisfaction and overall profit financially and in customer loyalty if if you were to make prices a bit more affordable for working class people on low pay. Its not as if you are gathering from nodes to make what you sell ;-) or have a factory of people producing them. Its virtual. Personally I think you are shooting yourselves in the foot with the costs of your items in the gem store.

Since the original Guild Wars, I have played DDO, LOTRO, SWTOR all with subscriptions and I came back here to Guild Wars 2 as I was looking forward to it from the early days it was announced to be going into production. I now find free to play with an expensive shop that caters just to the privileged as a financial model has lost its attraction to me. Even your sales are mostly pretty poor offers.

I wont be replying to any insulting replies or flaming and I will report any that I believe breach forum rules and regulations, terms and conditions.

Anyone else feeling close to burned out?

Its not even the actual content, its the achievement system which is becoming more demanding just. When you are asked to complete 15 achievements in one story, 11 in another and 7 in another crossing over and running consecutively and when time is limited to you its just a pain unless you turn off and decide not to even try. The latter solution then begs the question what the point of this amount of achievement grind if many people are turned off.

Quit GW2 because of the living world!

There’s more to Guild Wars 2 than Living Story and sometimes Living Story can feel just a like an achievement grind rather than actual story content plus often they are more fun with other players so when you are a casual player, work hard and long hours and have little time and cant get guildies to play with when you have time to play it can be very difficult to do Living Stories.

Living Stories may be lasting long but they still come out every two weeks and to feel successful a lot depends on achievements so when you have three living stories crossing over a period of time it gets very hard. The Halloween stuff, the Nightmare Tree, WvW Season 1, the second part of the Nightmare story, Fractured and Christmas have all overlapped into each other quite significantly. Its hard not just because it can be time consuming and require certain levels of ability to speed through it but because when RL is so demanding and you don’t like game grind you don’t want to be spending so much precious time on it.

I still haven’t had the chance to do any "Fractured "as I don’t like pugging and I have been very busy in Rl. I wont finish the second part of the Nightmare Tree as find it too difficult to solo and be enjoyable and haven’t got much of WvW Season 1 between being busy and so not interested in grinding destruction of structures and such achievements.

Many people if most who play games do want to feel a sense of achievement but in an MMO set it too low and hardcore moan, set it too high and casual moan. Some games get around this by having normal and nightmare versions of dungeons but GW2 seems to make achievement hunting its difficulty level. The problem imo with achievement hunting is its not skill difficulty so much as time and so it doesn’t feel very good to underachieve just because you don’t have the time.

Hi I’m looking for to multi guild and so I understand if this doesn’t suit your guild. Many of my guild burned out and dropped away but say they will come back. Whether they do or not this has left those few behind in an often lonely limbo.
I am not on as often as I used to be and my work has very chaotic hours but when I am on I enjoy the socialising and running with others on impulse helping them and them helping me. I do Fractals, Dungeons, most events and WvW too.
I will however keep doing events with my other guild when arranged or helping them when they ask and if I am free to do so. So as I said I understand if this doesn’t suit you guys. Whatever happens thanks anyway for your time.

Hi Im looking for to multi guild and so I understand if this doesn’t suit your guild. My original guild has the same ethos as yours but a lot less players it seems. Now we most often only have one to four players online at any given time. Often just one or two even. Many of our guild burned out and dropped away but say they will come back. Whether they do or not this has left those behind in an often lonely limbo.

If you read the notes and blog you will see there are personal rewards, map wide rewards even for trying.

Clockwork Minions Invade
*Complete additional waves of the invasion for an increasingly lucrative map-wide reward.
*Map-wide rewards are limited to once per account, per day, per map. For example, players who claim the map-wide reward for an invasion in the Gendarran Fields will only be able to claim invasion rewards in other maps until the following day.
*Complete all waves of an invasion to unlock a bonus battle with Scarlet.
*Defeat Scarlet for a daily world-boss reward of two guaranteed rare items.

Aargh! Do some of you peoplerever actually read and properly interpret the notes and blogs on updates. The Gauntlet tickets are useable until September 3rd. right now you just have to complete parts of the new content to get access to the pavilion again for the gauntlet.

Complaining, moaning, whining whatever you want to call it does help by the way. And really I don’t know anyone that hasn’t complained just that some would rather moan to their friends than take it to the people that can make the difference. Its our right to do so. I mean seriously do you folks who say you don’t complain just take all the hassle that comes your way on the chin? LoL This is why complaints can help… https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Karma-Changes-Temporary-Rollback/

I have submitted a ticket and didnt get an answer about this. On the 13th of June I bought 800 gems of which I used 320 to buy 5 boxes o fun to celebrate my coming birthday that night. I had been experiencing a lot of lag and when I bought the 5 boxes o fun the side panel of my Black Lion UI logged this but I did not recieve the items.

As I used real money to buy those gems if I am to feel secure using your store system again I expect an error like this to be sorted. Thank you.

OK I havent bought any rich coffers but they are a disrepectful element and a lottery and as they can be bought with diamonds in turn bought by cash I would think Anet or NCSoft are sailing close to the window on real life gambling rules and restrictions.

Glychd to me they are taking adavantage of players who do not have time to play to get enough coffers I think or who may have plenty money to waste.

Weakest profession in the game, funny, Necro and Warrior would like to say hello to you on ALL of your points. They are the two most broken (trait, ability and utility wise) out of every class in the game, while rangers currently remain one of the strongest bunkers with little to no effort required. You have a PASSIVE pet that has MORE stats than a human can possibly get for no draw backs or downsides (i’ll refer you to GW1 where having a pet required a skill in order to even have the pet with you, which is how it needs to be in GW2). Please, ranger weakest profession? go read the necro/warrior forums and then do try and make this thread with a straight face.

Edit: Your pets can hit for 800+ crits on full tanks and all you have to do is put the pet on guard and tell it to attack every so often, your damage is far from terrible, as for pets that deal damage, your Drakes should not be ignored (COUGH ABSURD TANKS WITH HUGE DAMAGE COUGH). Oh and you’re complaining about pet AI that follows it’s target across the universe till it dies, have you seen necro minions? they stand there while their master is dying to someone, let alone thieves who absolutely break their AI entirely, you can control your pets, AI is nearly unnecessary, just micro a little bit, it’s not hard.

The guys in my guild that play warriors boast about how great they are. The warrior and guardian duo are pretty deadly in my guild parties. I play a necro and though I am just levelling right now I’m finding him pretty powerful. I have a level 80 Ranger and I find he is currently the poorest build I have. Pet AI is just not good enough. If there is a lot of AOE the pet goes down fast as they don’t try to dodge or avoid and as someone said you have just lost 30% of your dps. My level 80 Ele is much more powerful and fun and my level 80 thief the same.

Hi everyone,

Here you can check out policy regarding third party programs. If any program you install should violate this policy, please uninstall it and refrain from its usage. Thanks for helping us keeping the game an enjoyable and friendly place.

Players would like a clear and concise yes or no. Personal opinion and the understanding of a worded document are not always agreeable or obvious and its not customer friendly to be vague then ban players after. I would like to try this little programme but I am concerned about Anet wielding a ban hammer for some reason I don’t understand currently and so Anet has -1 loyalty from me for putting me in this position due to their lack of commitment to the player on this.

Heroes Ascent to the Hall of Heroes GW2 WvWvW

in Suggestions

Yes the GW1 event evolves into Guild Wars 2. The Isle of Heroes is a new WvW map where every 4 hours the servers battle each other over control of a number of keeps with dungeons. The server with the most points in this part of WvW then gets access to the dungeons.

The dungeons are known collectively as Heroes Ascent and teams of players from the winning server compete in the dungeons holding control points with chests to see who ascend to the grand finale dungeon, The Hall of Heroes. The dungeons will be trapped and teams that are holding control points for very long amounts of time may find themselves attacked by monsters also wanting access to the chests. (The latter is to stop camping in one spot and allied teams easily holding these against independent teams)

As in real life one of the biggest problems in these games are a vast amount of unsociable players or players not able to socialise maybe if they have distractions around them. You can’t avoid distractions that need to be dealt with but just joining in with other players when exploring, have a chat etc isn’t much to ask. And the game needs a proper endgame which right now WvW isnt really right now.
