“Understanding is a three edged sword: your side, their side, and the truth.”
“The objective is to win. The goal is to have fun.”
Lets give all mobs and bosses in PvE 250% more health, double their damage to all players and make them 100% faster. It will be fun, it is only a week, join the rollercoster!
Ohh, can I vote on that ? It sounds fun actually. Would play PvE with that…
I know that ANet has said before that they do look at and send posts around the office even if they don’t comment on them. But I must admit I was quite a bit disappointed when I saw them comment on the "other ideas like the golem week" thread and encouraged it. Don’t mind such events, just sad that they doesn’t even acknowledge things like the server issues.
But to be honest, they might have been ordered not to.
@dancingmonkey
Agreed that they should not mess with server numbers until after HoT, to see how the population shifts. But this is a problem that will return no matter what, and if I where them (and had any powers to decide anything) I’d already be looking at finding an alternative to servers.
But I also completely agree with Kaiser on: "Except people are people", if ANet opens free transfers now, the bottom servers will be deserted, instantly.
Change Dragonite Ore and Bloodstone Dust text from purple to grey. Change nothing else. The only reason people are hoarding this is out of some weird perception of value due to its inclusion in ascended etc. recipes. If you aren’t going to / don’t need to use it for that then it has no value. It’s no different than getting stacks of random unsellable white junk.
And make them sell-able to merchant for 1 copper.
The new camera system is great. The problem is the AC design. It is a dumb idea to change the camera back to what it was just because AC can be broken sometimes.
Ac was should be the anti personal weapon, not the anti siege weapon. Make it do 0 dmg to siege and it becomes much more balanced like the other siege weapons.
Also just fix the AC to actually need a physical projectile path to the target area. Or Trajectory I believe the nice word is. So it can’t shoot through a wall. Let them see over the wall as much as they want, but not be able to shoot AC (or preferably other skills as well) over it.
Yes, I have wall of text syndrome, sorry.
@DiscoJacen
You actually did bring up one example where Glicko IS broken, NA T1. That should not be possible really. Unfortunately another by-product of the Glicko system trying to handle the server structure of GW2, and it is the server-structure/population/coverage/PPT that is the problem here, not Glicko.
If looking just at the Glicko system, a small change to add a small glicko adjuster each week, something like making the higher glicko servers lose a smalla mount of glicko each week, and the lower servers gain a small amount of glicko each week. This way they all slowly creep toward the middle, so they have to continually fight to remain on top. It would also slowly erode the current locked tiers etc, and give even lower servers a chance to see some other servers every now and then (but still get beaten).
But this is looking at the Glicko in a vacuum, which doesn’t solve all the other issues that impacts this.
Also, while at this stage I wouldn’t be against a limited server merge for the lower tiers. Server merges is still just delaying the inevitable. The same problem will happen again, no matter what amount of servers. Always preferred fixing the root issue, instead of dealing with the symptoms. They will need to make a Dynamically self adjusting system, that can adapt itself to the number of players etc, not rigid locked system like servers. This is one of the main advantages of an alliance system, since they can design it dynamically from the start.
@Hohje Holan
Agree that it could respond faster, I think that is possible to adjust in the settings by altering the formula (which they should do). For example if you gained more glicko rating (say x2 current numbers) servers would shift much faster up and down.
I’m just tired of watching people complain that Glicko is ruining their game, when in fact the Glicko is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. It is simply that the Game and Servers aren’t doing what they are supposed to do, and thus making Glicko taking the blame. If they remove the glicko, and put in some other system, like say winner goes up and loser goes down, each week. You will still have the exact same servers with the same population and coverage problems. And instead of meeting the same 3-4 servers, you’ll meet the same 4 servers near constantly.
Glicko is designed for use among profession chess players etc, where skill is relatively stable. GW2 isn’t stable, with transfers, fair-weathers, work vs vacation, burn-out etc. GW2 is simply put much more casual than what Glicko is designed for, and should be adjusted for that.
@yanniell
I agree, either get rid of the server system, or reduce the number of servers. Alternatively do both, and make an Alliance system with servers, so you can toss for ex: ET+Kain together to increase their numbers.
in Edge of the Mists finding commander and trying to go to him is a disaster. If he is far away from base- you will be murdered by other teams countless times while you going to him. it happens alot to me and its really frustating,
my idea is just put a teleport item to a NPC anyone can buy that item and use it to spawn near the commander’s current location
As others have mentioned above, there would be a whole stew of problems with that. Single thief hid inside a keep, and can put on a cmd tag, and then everyone can teleport right into the keep.
Also this is a PvP map, you should expect to face PvP, regardless of how the map is being played. If the map had any reason or benefit to defend, you could have joined in the defense of one of the nearby objectives until the CMD returned to spawn again. Unfortunately EotM have no reason to do anything but flip objectives, a terrible waste of an excellent map.
The simplest solution is just to sit and wait until the CMD comes back.
Personally I just wish they made a own rune slot, similar to the pvp system, so we could swap them out without having to stick them to armors and all that.
gold sink be kittened, it is just plain annoying to manage multiple armors with multiple runes and stuff.
Note: I’m one of those that wouldn’t mind at all to use PVP’s system for the rest of the game. I know others doesn’t like it because of lack of mixing multiple armor pieces for stats, foods etc. But I just wouldn’t mind that to get rid of all the inconveniences around managing all those runes, sigils, different armor sets, and trinkets, and weapons stowed around in inventory and bank.
I thought Mag was the hypetrain 2015 ? Think you guys will have to wait for 2016.
It dropped down to very high one time in the past couple of weeks, prolly cause some players left for FSP/SFR/Piken recently.
I’m not sure how they measure player population in WvW anyway, at least during the day WvW doesn’t feel that active; unless you roam, which is usually against groups of roamers, or whatever you want to call them.
The only way I can find that makes sense:
Server Status = All players online at that time on that server. Irrelevant what play mode (PvE, PvP, WvW etc).
This is the only way that can explain the changing population over times of day/week for some servers. And how servers like ET can be Very High with barely a full party (5) over all 4 WvW maps.
Reseting or increasing the random factor on Glicko is only going to make for X amount of weeks with really bad match-up’s, and in the end you’ll be stuck with more or less the same servers you got now (plus or minus a few bandwagons and implosions).
The main thing reseting Glicko would accomplish is:
(1) Kill off most of the fair-weather population on most servers except for the top 3 ones.
(2) Drive several servers away from WvW for weeks or moths at a time. In disgust with a match-up, tired of being face-rolled 100vs10, and just in protest hoping to let the other server eat as much glicko as possible to rocket p to next tier so they can get rid of them.
(3) and after all that, we will be back where we are today. Yay!
The glicko isn’t the problem, glicko system works exactly as intended. The problem is that the servers are simply to unbalanced for glicko to work with. Look at the top 10 or so servers in EU, the glicko works pretty well there, because you have multiple close servers.
(1) LA server specific.
(2) Server chat.
(3) A own WvW server specific base map, like a mix of homeBL citadels and Heart Of The Mist. a WvW only map, that is only for your server, a home map. With all the services you’re used to in Citadel. Have this be the default WvW map to go too, and have portals and stuff like usual. Then ENCOURAGE people to use this for the free services, TP, bank/craft stations, merchants etc, and the free portal to LA. Then people can use this instead of the HomeBL (in case of queue’s and idling in citadel etc). It also becomes a server specific place to meet others from same server, recruit and call for help.
(4) Offer milk to the great kitten in the tree, and hope he grazes you with fortune and blessings.
One of the problems with Merging servers is that we don’t know the size of the PvE population that is currently tied to each server. The great majority of the population on each server is PvE after all. And if they merge two servers, that might overload the server with PvE population.
Example with some made up numbers: If ET (24) and Kaineng (19) was to be merged. And both are listed as "very high" which I’ll assume to mean they have 90-99% of max population for a server. Combining them would average 180%+ of a single servers capacity, while still have low numbers in WvW.
The first step they should do, is separate PVE and WVW servers. So we can actually see the WvW population on a WvW server. And then start merging those together. Just make PvE servers nameless servers since it doesn’t matter for them, something like "MegaServer #1" etc.
But if they’re going to do this drastic a change, they will probably change the entire Server system around completely. Either remaking new servers, or an EotM variant, or alliances etc. So if you hope for too much, you’ll get it :p
Love it.
I’ve wanted to force off the huge names myself, to actually enable REAL STEALTH in the game, and not just this fancy "vanish magic" we currently got.
This would also get me so paranoid, I’d kitten my pants when a Yak walked up behind me.
@TexZero
So basically, don’t place the AC inside the tower ?
Because with the in-game LOS slider you can see and shoot AC’s under the roof of the supply hut, or anywhere else for that matter.
They probably haven’t been able to recreate the new ones yet, since the Trait changes. People are still theory-hammering through the new system.

Problem: EotM refers both to the *map* and the *Overflow system*. So every time someone talks about EotM people focus on different aspects of it.
The map itself I would have no/little problems with being introduced into normal WvW. I like some variation, and for those that doesn’t like the map, stay on EBG etc.
The Overflow system part of it however, I can do well without in ordinary WvW.
(Though creative use of it during off hours could be interesting, to effectively combine 2-3 servers during say night time, to slightly populate the maps. This would play havoc on the PPT system, not that I care much about that myself)
IIRC only 5 out of the 9 servers in the top 3 tiers are full. That still leaves some options.
well, what’s wrong with them moving to any of the non-full server ? merging servers is effectively dissolving one anyway…..
Well, because then most of the little population left on server 22+23+24 would go to the already highly populated servers, and thus be a further part of the problem. Instead of going to other under populated servers and be part of something to fix the problem.
If they’re doing server merges they really have to merge 2 servers together, to combine the WvW populations. Not just give free transfers.

I agree that they should remove the "home borderland" idea, and adapt the maps for working like EBG/EotM in that there is no Citadel/Spawn advantage.
That way they could add multiple maps without the Borderland favoritism system. That would open up to have both Desert and Alpine active at the same time. And even when they add another map, or two for a rotation of maps each week.
Regarding cheating, I have no idea how hard it would be to detect it automatically from server side. But I always keep imaging them building in a detector that when you’re discovered cheating, teleport in Siegerazer, and one-shots you. With some comment about what bad-kitten-Siegerazer thinks of cheaters on HIS MAP!
……. But if you remove the last 3 servers (in NA atm Ioj, DR and ET) what is stopping them from going to top 3 tiers ?…….
Full status….
IIRC only 5 out of the 9 servers in the top 3 tiers are full. That still leaves some options.
Servers full/high etc rating is based on all accounts active/playing/online at that moment. At least that is the only solution that makes sense, considering the rating can change on the times of day and week. For all game modes.
Yes this definitively should be changed. Move all players to nameless pve servers, and choose a WvW server when entering WvW. Then only list people from WvW servers for the rating.
Night capping and population problems can be taken care of somewhat by a PPK / PPF (point per flip) system. Add in a bonus for taking an upgraded item.
Holding something over time already gives the huge advantage of upgrades; it should not also reward points just for holding it on an empty map.
I kind of like this idea. The only problem I could foresee would be that it would lead to a K-Train mentality. Why defend? Let them cap, and we cap back. No loss, just points exchanged. I think it would have to be combined with PPT… Let something generate PPT for “x” turns then it rolls to a point neutral state for the owning team.
Both and, it also means that if the enemy doesn’t bother to retake anything, the K-train dies, because there is nothing to take. The defending server doesn’t have a reason to take things back until they feel they can hold it. Both for good and bad.
Personally I’d prefer a system where you have PPA and PPD. Points Per Attack/Defence, So you link it to the attack/defence events. Or another solution for the same, to tie points to actual confrontations between two different sides. Means that you have to seek enemies to gain points. The negative aspect (or tactical, matter of perspective) is that if you see enemy comes with 40+ and you’re guarding your tower alone, you can bail and run away before the defence event, so you deny them points.
one solution could be for anet to dissolve the bottom 3 server, and let the players there move to any non-full server of their choice for free.
Don’t know if you just worded this badly or not. But if you remove the last 3 servers (in NA atm Ioj, DR and ET) what is stopping them from going to top 3 tiers ? thus furthering the very same problem that has led to those three servers being left where they are today in the first place ?
If you’re first going to mess with the server structure, then you should try to merge a tier7 + tier 8 server into a new one. To raise the population that way. Something like rank 19+24, 20+23 and 21+22 in theory. In practise it takes a good bit more than that, because you also have to look to each servers Coverage, and match it up so you don’t get to many loop-sided coverage miss-matches.
If not, all you’re really asking is: “Give me a free transfer out of this kitten-hole!”
At this point, the best thing Anet should do is to improve both the quantity and uniqueness of WvW reward. Make the outnumbered buff 10 times better.
+33% Experience
+20% Magic find
+25% World Experience
Take no armor damage on death
While I think it could be interesting running around with a group of uplevels while outnumbered for the +330% xp (even for killing raptors outside spawn), it doesn’t really fix the problems of being outnumbered. Unfortunately
(Btw, when are they going to remove the no armor damage from outnumbered, since it is free to repair anyways? Or just remove armor damage, though I find it kind of funny)
200% magic find could be interesting, but with wvw’s low chances to begin with, I suspect we would still be way under pve.
An easy thing Anet can do with HoT pending is to base server population on glicko rating to try and drive new players into the lower tier servers. Right now their population ratings make zero sense under the mega server.
Here’s hoping DR, ET and IOJ see some recovery in WvW populations with HoT coming out.
Everyone wants GLICKO reset - every single person who understands the dynamic wants to start over.
Everyone that understands how glicko works wants to avoid just that. ET-DR-Black Gate (or nay other Tier1 server) wouldn’t be fun. You can complain all you want about glicko, but over average it will give you the closest thing there is too an even fight.
reseting glicko is only going to cause 2-3+ months of match-up mayhem, where every single fairweather and pug will leave. And then in the end, you will be back where we are now, same server order in the new reset glicko (with exceptions of new implosions and bandwagons).
Perhaps they like you ?
I know my guild picked EBay on reset last time, and then there was queue’s on all maps, so we didn’t dare trying to leave the map. Reason we picked EBay bl was because we had played against NSP recently.
Hmm, Not entirely certain how large an impact it would have, but it sounds like something that would be great to try for a week or two as a WvW test!
There is also the aspect that if you get wiped, you lose about half of your pugs/zerglings. Which decreases your effectiveness on the map. So many cmd’s avoid fights to avoid losing players.
The most successful cmd’s I’ve seen have mixed up a bit, take a lot of stuff, if enemy is near try to defend, if getting a chance ambush and gank etc, go back to taking structures etc. A good mix seems to keep most in the game.
Personally would love to see more rewards for fights (both EotM and WvW), but it would need to be analyzed a *lot*, or you’re going to end up with too many gankers, and all the pugs and zerglings again just leaving map after getting ganked.
Delicate logistics problem.
I think there is some merits to the idea, not by removing rewards, but moving them around, so that k-training isn’t the most rewarding aspect of the mode.
Don’t have a clear example of how to do it, but giving more rewards to defenders is obviously a thing. I would like to see more rewards aimed at situations where you’re actually fighting enemy players, and not just PvD/NPC. Perhaps have the events trigger specifically when two teams are conflicting at the same place (fighting, siege, ramming vs repairing etc), and have rewards tied to that.
Things like the champion bags could be moved there etc. So you only got champion bags if there was other players to contest.
Was solely tempted to answer "Eredon Terrace, they don’t have enough people to make a zerg". But the truth is that most servers have periods a day where they don’t have enough people to zerg/karma train. Those periods are just larger the lower in the tiers you get.
You should probably think more about what times a day you play on, and find a server that is slightly weak in that time zone. When your sever is outnumbered, and can’t Zerg the others down, they often focus on defense, and that sounds like where you would be useful. Just try to find one with enough people to actually mount a defense :p
Well, if the issue is people jumping in and out of it constantly to reset fight, then a personal timer per character could be a possibility. say 5 seconds as an example, not enough to really limit you, but if you’re going yolo out there you got to feel confident you will survive for 5 sec before you can get back in again.
The other complaint I see is Elementalist mistform, the good old ele suicide bomb, flee through the door. Personally I wouldn’t mind saying the mistform on down could not go through portals. Not a titanic loss, just stops some silly stuff.
ANet never gives out exact numbers, the best you will ever get is an approximation.
My guess is somewhere around 80 after they reduced the limit with 10% in easter.
Personally I’m mostly annoyed by all the green and blues, can’t you just give me the hard cash and materials instead, so it doesn’t fill up my bags with... trash. Just feels so useless.
I happened to get a bunch of ascended drops in the second month I played WvW (2 armor chests, and 2 rings, as well as almost 2 exotics daily). The last year however, I’m lucky if I get more than 1 exotic a month. So yeah welcome to RNG on acid trip.
And no, Magic Find stat doesn’t affect this.
Indeed reworking the outnumbered buff (and make it invisible for enemy, like the cmd tag) would be the good way to go.
ANet will not under any circumstances break their philosophy by punishing you for having more players. So an Outnumbering debuff will not happen.
I’ve posted some suggestions on what could be done with the outnumbering bonus before, but things like increasing supply limit, decreasing building/repairing time, upping skill target limit, etc, Things that will help you to accomplish more of the same things but with less numbers. But it is an incredibly difficult thing to get right, since you must still rather want to have more players than get the bonus.
It really depends on the players on the map, I’ve actually seen the CMD hunt down and win over enemy zerg, and then have the players complain that there isn’t enough karma training and capping structures.
But I agree that EotM can be really fun when you find a map with WvW based guilds. Especially love when I find a fighting guild goofing around because bored of own match-up.
I am best EotM commander. Last time when i was commander we did defend FR keep over 3.5 hours. Didn’t leave keep at all because good commander always defend stuff.
Man wish I could have been there, I want to see all the poor k-trainers rage for someone defending blue keep.
generally the advice is go to WvW, and start asking people in mapchat if they can tell you about some wvw guilds (pm), or recruiting.
I must admit to not feeling this anywhere near as hard as you do. But I do agree that a lot of services are spread very thin, and often very far away from WP’s as well. I already miss the south east cave corner with all the services close to each other.
I do hope they look at this and reconsider somewhat, a bank/guild bank npc would not be wrong to have near the portals.
One possible good use of guildhalls, if they allow us to unlock services and crafting stations, and perhaps even a own mystic toilet (btw love the new mystic toilet flush effect....) they HOPEFULLY place them in close to each others and WP’s in the guild hall, so you can craft things easier there.
I wrote up a very BASIC adaption of the old 06611 medi guard for the new system for my guild, this is just meant to get people started after the new changes, and in no way some kinda meta build:
"Medi Roamer" (66600)
This should be a general Meditation aggressive version, pretty similar to the old 06611 build.
If you have not unlocked skills and traits yet, then start with unlocking: "Meditation training". "Zeal", "Radiance" and "Valor".
Skills: Shelter, Smite Condition, Judge’s Intervention, Contemplation of Purity, Renewed Focus
Zeal traits: 2-2-2
Fiery Wrath (bonus vs burning enemies, now reduced down to 7%, still good)
Zealous Blade (Greatsword, +5% dmg, slight heals on hit, and 20% reduced recharge)
Shattered Aegis (your Aegis explodes for decent damage)
Radiance traits: 2-3-1
Right Hand Strength (one handed weapons bonus critical hit, and 20% recharge sword)
Retribution (+10% dmg while you got retaliation, new guardian fave)
Amplified Wrath (Burning damage +15%, and burn when block)
Valor traits: 2-3-2
Smite Condition (Gives you a free "Smite Condition" skill when using heal, with all medi traits)
Communal Defenses (when you block, grant aegis to allies)
Monk’s Focus (Meditation skills heal on use, give Fury to allies close, and recharge 20%)
The important ones are: "Fiery Wrath" and "Retribution" for the damage buffs. "Zealous Blade" and "Right Hand Strength" for weapons, you can change these if you want to use different weapons. "Smite Condition" and "Monk’s Focus" for the Meditation bonuses. I used the two that generates and blows up Aegis because it is an interesting playstyle that can give medi guard both a little bit of extra burst, and because it gives a little bit of team play. And amplified wrath is extra damage, and fun with Shelter and Aegis. You can swap these last 3 out if you want to.
Use same stats and runes etc as from usual Meditation roamer builds. For weapons this obviously leads into Greatsword, Sword and Focus. Though I would not recommend changing out the trait for "Focus mastery", as "Smite condition" works very well in this build.
This does not take the old 21614 build into account, but you should be able to make something up by losing either Zeal or Radiance and pick Virtues instead, some fun options there.
+1
Like very much
However fun it sounds to port Siegerazer into enemy tower... (Or nice complicated organized mesmer chain into keep...)
I’ve seen enough .... kittens.... run around and drop portals on top of every chest in silverwastes, to never agree with portals without pressing F ever again...
I don’t dislike the base idea myself. I’m biased though, since I tend to small party roam.
But as mentioned above, this is completely against ANet’s design philosophy of never punishing you for other people.
I was thinking about this thread yesterday, and was pondering the limit to 5 targets on most attack skills. What if there was a reverse to this ? That you could only be hit by max 5 people ? (waits for the laughter to end).
Yup it would have gotten weird, really weird.
So if the first 5 players that hit you blocks out the attacks from the other 15 or so (in 20vs1). skilled player would be capable of wearing them down because he can weather a 5vs1 if the skill difference is large enough. The other 15 players wouldn’t be able to do any direct damage, but could still give support (boons, condi cleanse, aoe heals etc) to the 5 attackers.
Setting it to 10 would make it less weird, but still somewhat relevant, since it is much easier to survive against 10 enemies rather than 20 spamming attacks on you.
Never going to make it into the game, for many reasons. But an interesting idea.
Tier 1 = Server Rank 1+2+3
Tier 2 = Server Rank 4+5+6
...
Tier 8 = Server Rank 22+23+24
You might as well call "Tier" for "Match-Up" instead, so "Match-up #1" would be BG+JQ+TC.
Someone else commented on it in another thread, that the 15 min RI removed his sense of accomplishment in WvW. I must admit I agree, if you took a keep and it had an hour RI you would feel like you really accomplished something, and defending it afterwards would be more important ? To stop enemy from getting an hour RI back.
But largely, that feeling of "We got this kitten! whoa, now we can relax a bit, grab a coke/beer, some chips, talk and cheer a bit in TS, finally get that toilet break, or taking the dog out for 10 min walk." without coming back and finding the keep re-flipped, and yourself pasted all out over the floor.
Basically victory is fleet in WvW, tops 15 minutes. And many might want to feel better rewarded for winning something, letting that accomplishment linger.
Though worried about the implications for something like say for ex an hour long RI and the current PPT system. Though it sure would mess with the K-Train when they got everything in 1 hour, and they have to wait another hour before they can K-Train it back again.
While at it, let me remove all the things on my upper right. I’m tired of watching "Please go kill the evil Zhaitan.... like please?" and all the other messages there.
I’ll admit I really miss GW1 UI customization.
I would like something like what the OP posted. But at the same time I would also want to have the option to go to another map with, as the others say "no pve pls".
I still think this game mode would be enhanced by having more variety in maps, instead of reiterating the same "map style" over and over.
Let people go to the map with the play style they prefer/want/enjoy.
1) I know I’m in the minority of this, but I’d prefer they just remove superior siege, but heck, I’m for getting a better way of getting them (badges) than the current Mystic Toilet.
2) I do know how annoying it is to be nagged to drive the golem because I have travelers, or to change armor so I can traveler the golem. But I also think that the golem line and golems in general are a bit to strong as is. So some sort of compromise would be good.
3) I don’t mind this in theory, but I also know that just like siege refresh, so few is going to bother. If anything, have the NPC repair/builder guy go around and repair siege (for some supply), that way they will be repaired after a while and players won’t have to go around and play Bob-the-Builder. Also make guards use Siege...
I’ve seen this suggested before, and it could be a decent compromise: Tier the achievements, and tier the rewards. (Note I don’t recall the actual names and numbers for the achievements since I never look at them, so just excuse my mistakes)
For example 25k player kills gives title "Dominator"
Then 50k could give something like "Fearsome Dominator"
and 100k give "Terrifying Dominator"
and at the end 250k gives "Ultimate Dominator"
That way it is achievable, but the titles difference how much work you put into it. This would probably work best if the title replaced the older one I guess, though I’m certain I’d rather want some of the lower ones since I don’t like the word "Ultimate" in front of everything.
Also a bunch of the achievements are just poorly thought out. Anything involving supply for example (which you guys have discussed above regarding troll/waste supply). And several of the other ones like all the different defense ones could be combined into a single one that doesn’t care if you’re defending camps, towers, keep or the kittening SMC.
You already get WXP for using supply (still somewhat against that for same reasons).
Well, to be honest I’d stick with DB for now, as it is going to fall down a bit onver the next few weeks. That will let you get to see a bunch of more servers, that you can observe and gather information from.
The tricky part about roaming is that there is technically no good server to transfer to for roaming, as it depends almost entirely upon the server you play against. Since what you want as a roamer is an opposing server that gives you small fights (1-5 groups). So if you hear that Server X is the best roaming server and transfer there, you’ll be on the team with all the roamers you probably would want to fight against.
Some servers I’ve either experienced first hand or heard have good roamers: NSP, FC, IOJ, DH, AR, EBay (some of this might have changed, NSP for example got a lot more people since then, and moved up to T3 again, so they might have changed. Played a lot against FC but I think they lost some people so don’t know how many roamers are left, etc).
