i’m afraid i’m gonna have to agree too. if you don’t outnumber PAXA, you need to be very focused on VERY tight small group tactics and player killing as fast as humanly possible

phht. i earned myself half a week of getting danced/jumped/sat on by PAXA (and due to guild friendships, KoM also) just for saying PAXA was annoying and that i wasn’t all that impressed by their 5 guys killing 1.

i don’t hate em. i ain’t mad they kill me. crap happens. it’s a game where we kill each other. duh. but PAXA is really good at killing solos really fast, so it’s annoying to get caught by them. meh. >shrug<

when i got on after work at 10:30 (Central) last night we had 1 zerg of around 25ish running ET BL. i think there were a few randoms capping camps on other borders, but nothing serious. most of our people were trying to defend the homefront. all told i couldn’t imagine we had more than 35 people in WvW last night across all maps.

lol. it may have been a kick in the teeth and a kitten thing to do, but it’s also a lesson.

few things suck worse than losing a garrison with NO upgrades and FULL supply. it’s happened to us before, and just makes me shake my head and say "what were my server-mates thinking???"...don’t just let it sit. queue upgrades. build siege in intelligent places.. get ready for the inevitable fight that will come to your doors.

Question for you, Would you say GoM and HoD can field similar numbers? I’m curious.

felt to me like GoM had more people. also seemed to have more sophistication on their zerg-splitting. by that i mean, instead of one ginormous zergball-o-death… they’d hit us in 2-3 places at once, with 15-25 PER ZERG. (vs our one ‘zerg’ of 10-20 and a camp cap team of 2-5 on a good day)

I like hod more than any other Zerg server because they aren’t exactly a zerg server. So many good pvpers from KoM, VLK, PAXA that roaming can really be enjoyable (well not really PAXA they just spam immobilize on you for 15 minutes until they can finally 5v1 dps you to death, which is ok and fair) unlike other servers (GoM IoJ DR) where every player, and I mean every player, is a crappy zergling.

yeah… i’ll give ya that one. even with the slanted numbers making it an overall ROFLSTOMP at the end of the day…. the fights themselves are typically more fun vs HoD than they were against GoM and SF, which were pretty much just ZOMGNUMBERS!!!!!!!!!!! hey look! they have 3 zergs on our BL alone! and we’re outmanned if we go to any of the other 3 maps! and we have… 15 people! yay! >eyeroll<

as much of a pain as it is to run afoul of PAXA or KoM while solo, they do at least make things more interesting than the OMFGZERRRRRGGGGGG~!!!!! we’ve faced against other servers.

wow. very sorry to see you go, man. my first character was a mesmer, but she only made it to 16th level and i shelved her. she felt very weak, and i wasn’t having fun. 2 other level 80 characters and 5 months later your vids and builds inspired me to go back to her and try again. she’s now 57 and flying thru the levels, and i’m having enough of a blast with her that i’m actually (someone kick me, please, i can’t believe i’m gonna admit this) thinking of getting a SECOND commander tag... O.o

anyways... have fun wherever you do decide to go, and maybe we will cross paths again.
